My friend and I recently visited The Well, and we were both thoroughly impressed. Their menu offers a great variety of choices, including many healthy options, which made it easy to find something fresh and satisfying. The service was truly outstanding — attentive, friendly, and genuine — and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The atmosphere, both inside and outside, is absolutely lovely, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. Although I’m not vegan, I decided to try the vegan Caesar salad, and it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. It was so good that I would definitely order it again. We also enjoyed some drinks: the mimosas were excellent — not overly sweet, just perfectly balanced. I did try the espresso martini, which was a bit too sweet for my taste, but still well-made; it just wasn’t my personal preference. The bacon was another highlight — thick, meaty, and cooked exactly the way I like it, served in three perfect pieces. My friend ordered the salmon with avocado on bread, which was beautifully presented and equally delicious. She loved it. Overall, I would highly recommend The Well for a meal with friends or family, or for anyone looking for a lighter, healthier dining option in a beautiful setting. It's a real gem, and we definitely need more places like this!

I had a truly wonderful experience with Lauren at The Well. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel welcomed and well cared for. Lauren took the time to ensure everything was just right and offered excellent recommendations. Her genuine hospitality and attention to detail created a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. I left feeling completely satisfied. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Lauren’s outstanding service!

Cute decor, nice ambiance, welcoming hosts, delicious food! That’s the best description of The Well! The Well actually stands for eating and living well, which you’ll know after getting there. Do try their lettuce wrap, it refreshing and delicious. Their avocado toast is yum with amazing fresh avocados presented in an amazing manner. Want to try Flourless Chocolate cake? Do try it at well! You can actually taste cocoa in it but the berries and almonds served with their chocolate cake just blend well and make it a good dessert. Not pocket friendly but the food and ambiance make it worth it!

♥️Love- love- love this place! I can’t believe we just discovered it and it was just so delicious! The ambiance was a cool vibe our waitress was awesome and so friendly and the food was just what we needed to start our day! My eggs were perfect and my chai tea was lovely! It’s been a long time that we had such good food and experience around here. It really is a great spot !

Google
My colleague and I were looking for some Gluten free food and found that The Well Westlake offers an exceptional gluten-free dining experience that combines fresh, nutrient-dense ingredients with innovative flavors. It is a 100% gluten-free kitchen so it is safe for those who have Celiac disease. I had the chicken broth with pasture raised chicken and an Avocado Mousse. The broth was thick, fresh and tasty. The Avocado Mousse was unique in that it had a rich cacao flavor. It was very delicious! If you are looking for a nourishing meal, look no further than The Well Westlake.

Google
Fantastic food and service. The wagyu sandwich and fingerling potatoes are my favorite. It was a bit cold in the restaurant for me.

Google
The food here is very tasty and fresh. Very nice restaurant with cute decor. The space is a tad on the tiny side so it is a bit tight. However the customer service was good and the Butterfly tea is delicious. Parking was a bit of a hassle during lunch time hours, but I would recommend trying this place out.

Yelp
Plenty of parking and a cute indoor seating area. Went for brunch and made reservations ahead of time. Cocktail: Espresso Martini was delicious! Coffee: Iced Vanilla Maca was a very interesting coffee since some of the sweetness was from the organic dates. I did like it though! Appetizer: The guacamole was very lime forward tasting which I like. Entree: The Chilaquiles was recommended as a popular dish and it did not disappoint! I loved the pecan mole as a base layer to the dish.

Yelp
Despicable service. When asked for vegetarian food, delivered chicken tacos. When asked to replace, they only gave back 2 tacos vs 3 that come in a plate as our party ate the two chicken tacos by mistake. When asked for fresh plates, they said they ran out of them. The food was good just like the downtown one - the staff however needs to be trained significantly better or replaced.

Yelp
Upon arrival, I noticed the outside space. There were several picnic tables on one side and some two tops on the other side. It was chilly but they had some portable heaters. There is a small bar with about six chairs. We were sat at a two top table. There was plenty of room in between the tables. They have cozy looking tables along the wall. One side is a booth and the other side has chairs. Each table is "dressed" with glasses and silverware along with a tiny candle. They bring a pitcher of water which is always nice instead of asking for more water. They have happy hour from 3-5. There are several apps that are $9 and half price glasses of wine. We got avocado toast and salmon ceviche. Both were delicious. The avocado toast looked lovely but it was tricky to eat. The avocado was sliced thin so when you bit into it they often slid off. If you are careful, it stays intact. The bread was great! The salmon ceviche was refreshing. We both wished it had come with more crackers/chips. The presentation of everything was lovely. I didn't look at the menu too much since we were just there for happy hour. Overall, I had a good experience and would go back again.

Yelp
Parking was ample on a Saturday for brunch. The place is cute and clean. We had a reservation so was seated right away. The food was good! The chilaquiles was amazing as was the guacamole. Unfortunately the espresso Martini fell a little short for me because it was bitter and didn't have enough sweetness that I'm used to. The iced vanilla maca was OK. It just had a weird flavor profile that I guess I'm not used to. It was definitely one of the more expensive brunches I've had. I liked that they were health conscious and nothing was greasy or heavy. Definitely give the chilaquiles a try!

Yelp
I've eaten at the downtown location multiple times, so tried this location bc I was in the area. Service was friendly and fast. Parking lot wasn't too crazy full for a Friday night. Location was small and cozy (compared to downtown). They also offer outdoor seating. The food was delicious. Portion sizes were good, and ended up having to pack home some food bc we couldn't finish it all.

Yelp
It's a little expensive but the steak sandwich is delicious and always cooked perfectly.

Yelp
We're Grove regulars......but after church our 8 year old son, wanted to try somewhere new for brunch.....so off to The Well we went. We were pleasantly surprised. Light and airy establishment, with phenomenal food. We started off with mimosas and lemonade. Then we got their Salmon Tartare (a signature appetizer) and their guacamole, no jalapeños, to make it kid friendly. My son's exact words...."This is delicious". The only downfall....we wish this restaurant was bigger, so we could book it for larger events. All and all, we'll be back. You have new regulars now. Side note......A shout out to Kaitlyn for being super sweet to our son. From the hostess's, to the food runners......they were all extremely pleasant and well mannered. Good job.....The Well #We'llBeBack

Yelp
TLDR PSA: Do not come here if you have an Open Table reward. I use open table all the time so was excited to have reward points I could use. The odd thing about them is different restaurants are worth different amounts of money for the same points. In this case, the Well was listed as having $50 credit for using the points there so given how good and healthy the food looked it seemed a no brainer. Unfortunately, the card open table gave "wouldn't work" and they rushed me to pay rather than try to trouble shoot. There's a Well restaurant downtown, so if I had wanted to pay full price I wouldn't have driven out to Westlake for it, and then would have considered similar, cheaper options like True Food and Flower Child.

Yelp
First visit: August 11, 2024 (Dinner) Second attempt: August 23, 2024 Second visit: September 9, 2024 (Lunch) This neighborhood spot is located near us, and my mom has been wanting to try it. Our first opportunity was for dinner in August. I got the coconut curry and my mom got the spinach pesto pasta. We shared the fingerling potatoes and local street corn as sides. Food was good. Both of us really enjoyed the potatoes, but felt the corn was too greasy and we didn't end up finishing the bowl so had to take it home. We tried again on August 23, but learned quickly that on Fridays you don't eat at this little area because there is absolutely no parking. We pivoted to The Grove next door, which has valet services. This past Monday we got our actual second chance, and decided to have lunch. I got the classic breakfast plate and it was lovely! Was better than my curry squash from dinner, but the potatoes were cooked too tough. This time we shared the hummus and mushroom/sweet potato sides. They were good as well, but the amount of hummus provided might be too much, although we didn't dip the veggie sticks. It has a lovely vibe and great service, just wish there was more parking. Would come again to try the rest of their menu, especially the smoothies and desserts!

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I typically do takeout, but recently enjoyed brunch with a friend, and the dining experience was wonderful. You place your order at the register and then find a table while they bring out your food for you. The decor strikes a perfect balance between chic and cozy, giving the place a welcoming vibe. I love their commitment to using the highest quality meats and veggies, and it definitely shines through in the flavor of the food. Brunch here was a wonderful--I ordered the EGGS YOUR STYLE, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. Normally, this dish can be bland and super greasy elsewhere, but here, every bite was bursting with flavor, down to the perfectly seasoned arugula. I felt nourished and light, not weighed down with grease like I usually do at other spots. Not to mention I polished off that entire plate! This restaurant review will get more updates because because I just can't get enough of this place! It's easily become one of my favorites.

Yelp
Found a new spot that is health conscious, and allergy conscious. I had the chicken dish and normally it comes with peas. The server and the chef made sure I was able to eat and get good food. At first glance the chicken dish looks like a savory dish - but the sauce has agave and makes it sweet. Different than what I was expecting but it was good. My husband loved the tacos and corn. Our server was hands down the sweetest I have had in a while. I already shared with friends that it's really good.

Yelp
We were initially going to go somewhere else for lunch but decided to go here in the hopes of getting something light and healthy. The Well did not disappoint. My friend and I each had a mocktail: the Pillow Talk and the non-alcoholic version of The Elixir. The Pillow Talk was so pretty and had great flavor. I don't usually say that about food/drinks with rose, but it's true. The Elixir was fantastic. I was surprised by the dark color, but the flavor was really fresh. We then split the Salmon Tartare and Steak Sandwich. The tartare was very very good. It reminded me of lox with the onion and caper but had a fun Texas twist with jicama and avocado. The chips on the side were perfect for the dish too. The steak sandwich was good too. My only wish was for more of the veggies (arugula and tomato) on the sandwich. We sat at the bar and chatted with a couple of the employees. They were both attentive, friendly, and helpful as we made our choices. Their service alone makes me want to come back for more. Check this place out for a healthy, tasty meal!

Yelp
Always an amazing experience, everyone is so so friendly, food is AMAZING. It's such a cute atmosphere too, very modern and fun, lots of pretty plants. Gluten free, seed oil free, dairy free. I love that I can order anything from the menu and it be delicious. Definitely get their juice! And some of my favorites: thai lettuce wraps w chicken, coconut curry squash, and the steak tacos are AMAZING!

Yelp
Delicious, health & ingredient conscious food and drinks, with a gorgeous presentation! Service is exceptional and friendly! Great ambiance, too! My favorite dish is the chicken plate. I also love their coffees!

Yelp
Very cute small restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. When I first browsed the menu, it seemed pretty ordinary but I'd say all food came out was so good. From appetizers to main. Had too much good food that dessert was not needed. The salmon and steak were awesome. Very crispy salmon skin and steak was cooked well. Still moist and not chewy. Flavor weren't too salty. The only thing I'd say was salty was the wildrice/black beans that was to be wrapped in the lettuce. Love the two salads especially the one with beets. I love how they didn't use a ton of dressing. I really hate salad with a bunch of dressing and since I was with a large group, I couldn't have had the dressing on the side since it's family style and we shared everything. Two gender neutral bathrooms. Staff was nice. I'd come back again if I visit the area.

Yelp
Was not expecting to enjoy this spot so much - I had been to the 2nd st location a couple years back and remember it being alright, just super pricey and maybe slightly pretentious, but our hostess, server and meal were all top notch here. Came for Sunday brunch and opted for the 3-egg omelette (if you are a mushroom person, this is wonderful - filled with criminis) with breakfast potatoes (smashed, crispy and covered in paprika) as well as the breakfast tacos and oat milk pancakes. Everything was wonderful. My cappuccino was perfection and I'm a picky coffee girl. Much appreciated.

Kathy H.

Yelp
Pasta and rice were both raw in the middle. The rice was not edible. The coconut curry squash was predominately tomato. I rarely leave reviews, but the food was simply awful. Very disappointing.

Shradha A.

Yelp
Huge fan of this concept and especially the location downtown. I love the focus on allergen friendly menu items, health conscious flavors and relaxed ambiance. I did find it odd that cocktails have a happy hour but zero proof drinks don't? I also found certain things - like the mushroom tacos and pillow talk mocktail to be prepared much better at the downtown location.

Yelp
GREAT place for healthy eats in the area. Vibe is like a cool, quiet coffeeshop. We had no choice but to bring one of our children here and it wasn't the best place for it, but it did the job. I can't even tell you what we ordered because I was frazzled from parenthood lol! But the staff was nice, the restaurant is very clean and modern/minimalistic, and the food high quality.

Yelp
January may have passed, but it's always a good time to eat and live Well. Taking the guesswork out of "good for you" and delightful to eat, The Well is serving up all of the above with Whole 30-approved (See: gluten- and dairy- free with vegetarian & vegan options) snacks, sandwiches, tacos, and mains that help you feel good inside & out. I love the crunchy Thai Lettuce Wraps with ethically raised chicken and earthy mushrooms, accented with mint, ginger, and chili lime wrapped in snappy romaine. It's warming and filling while light and nourishing. Add a spritz of Richard's Rainwater and a frothy Cappuccino and you're ready for a board meeting or a workout, whichever suits your schedule! Also a great spot for healthy grab & go options to keep you on your game when meal prep gets pushed.
google avatar

Lisa O.

Yelp
This mecca is gluten-free and dairy-free. However, any of their drinks can be made with whole milk if you wish. Don't let the name fool you. It's not just a bar. It's coffee. It's smoothies. It's brunch and dinner. I'm in gluten and dairy-free heaven. I loved their strawberry shake, golden milk, and dairy-free turmeric ice cream. The gluten-free chicken salad sandwich was OK. I think I like the chicken salad at People's Pharmacy more and was expecting sweet grapes, where there were none. This is my new weekly go-to!

Yelp
The service and the food is just awesome. I suggest you guys try it you guys won't regret.

Yelp
I don't usually give reviews when I haven't actually tried the food at a restaurant, but my experience here warrants one. My husband and I were near the area and I did a search for healthy restaurants. This one came up, and as I looked over the menu, we wanted to try it. The first thing I noticed when we walked in, was that the space was light and bright and airy. There were three tables early on a Saturday night seated. The thing that surprised me the most was that we were to order at a counter, and then get a number to be seated. Given the price of the entrées, this seemed out of place. One of their menu items is $60. It seems like you would have a waiter or waitress with food this expensive. The reason we didn't end up eating there was because of the menu item I wanted to get came with a side that I didn't like at all. I asked if I could substitute for another one and she went and asked the chef. He declined, so I would be forced to pay for a meal I wouldn't necessarily eat. I understand that chefs want to have a say in how their meals are plated, but I feel like this policy carries with it a lot of audacity, considering you order at a counter. Luckily, we just walked across the parking lot to the Grove and had a delicious meal.

Yelp
Long time foodie here in Austin. Went to The Well Westlake after some friends recommended for happy hour. Went for lunch. Had the Wagyu Steak Sandwich, 6 oz., and tired the Chicken Salad Sandwich Let's start with the good. Everyone is very kind and the place looks so nice on the inside. I can see myself having an after hours drink or a happy hour meet-up for business. My issue is what happens when we want to eat? I felt so bad for that Wagyu beef as it smothered in a dijon mustard that took away any of its flavor. The same side salad was dressed with the salad dressing on the lettuce in the sandwich. I paid $70 bucks for three sandwich's and three drinks. No too concerned about that, I mean you have to pay that Westlake overhead, however that has to be the most trigger happy Dijon (or mustard seed) spreader in that kitchen. The same was the case on the chicken salad sandwich. It was more like a roast beef sandwich, honestly. I wish this place luck but do yourself a favor, avoid the mustard seed sandwiches. That is all. I wish them luck in finding some consistency in their food menu. Also, around the corner you can find various cocktail bars, so nothing unique to see here.
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
We ordered the avocado egg and bacon toast, and the wagyu Steak Sandwich. We also had iced vanilla maca and Cacao Hot Chocolate. Topped off with golden milk ice cream...yummy!

Virginia P.

Yelp
Food consistently good and I can feel safe eating anything I desire since all is gluten free.

Barbra M.

Yelp
We stopped in for a light dinner. My son had the chicken tacos and really enjoyed them. The servers were very helpful dealing with allergy/food safety issues. I had the hummus with veggies and chips. The veggies were slightly blanched and had a bit of a citrus flavor. They were fantastic with the hummus. We also shared the mushrooms/squash/spinach side, and both loved it. It's a simple dish, but quite tasty. This is a smaller, more casual setting than the The Well downtown. My son said he actually prefers this location - very comfortable.

Yelp
So glad to have this new location closer to us now. The downtown ATX location is great, but parking was always a pain. Ordering at the bar was a bit odd considering we are used to the table service at the main location, but the Westlake location is a bit more casual so that wasn't at all a big deal. The service was great and the food is always amazing. Looking forward to going back soon

Adam F.

Yelp
Service was incredible! Would definitely return for the Thai wrap with the added chicken. A different take on guacamole with pomegranate. It was not over powered but added an excellent taste. The elixir looks dank but was very refreshing and delicious! Will definitely be back for it. Kevin took care of our service and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
google avatar

Lianna T.

Yelp
The food is exceptional. When we arrived we were slightly disappointed that the concept was order at the counter since the food and overall atmosphere seems to point to a higher-end dining experience. However, we ordered at the counter, and I am glad we did. I ordered the Vegan Caesar, which had lettuce, alfalfa sprout, snap peas, and was drenched in the most delicious of sauces. My friend ordered the Salmon, which looked perfectly cooked and was accompanied by fresh vegetables. For dessert, we split the Avocado Mousse topped with cacao and coconut. I will definitely be back to try just about everything on this menu - everything was outstandingly flavorful, fresh, and of the highest quality.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Six of us had lunch here and had breakfast tacos, avocado toast and the curried squash. The curried squash was good but a little expensive for a meal without protein. The breakfast tacos were good and so was the avocado toast. However I thought the avocado toast that I had at their other location was better and more to it that what I had here. The waitress was nice and she even took our order rather than having to place it at the counter. The interior was rather plain but had a few tables outside.
google avatar

Daphne L.

Yelp
A much needed wonderful addition to Westlake! The food is healthier fine dining- met a friend for lunch. We sat outside which was very comfortable and had plenty of cover- tables were spaced nicely so we didn't feel crowded and could catch up! The inside is light and bright yet a little loud during the busy lunch hour. We ordered the 2 salads to share- vegan Caesar and beet salad.. they were both light and flavorful and over a bed of romaine. I was a little surprised that this location is counter service being otherwise a more elevated restaurant experience- but the owner, Nicole, happened to be helping out so she took our order table side and checked in on all of the outside guests the day we were there- she was very pleasant and welcoming and happily answered our questions and was eager to share about her restaurants and love of this new spot! Parking was quite full at lunch as there are two popular eateries and lots of retail in these two centers..took me a little bit of time to get a spot.. valet is available too. Looking forward to trying some of the breakfast items or ceviche next time.

Yelp
lol ok so I took no photos of the DELICIOUS food I ordered and consumed here but this is easily one of my top favorite restaurants in Austin now! I will take any excuse to go back. I ordered the salmon tartare, organic chicken bone broth and the smashed fingerling potatoes in garlic aioli and loved everything. All the food was so good. I was literally eyeing everyone else's food around me and I cannot wait to go back - like I am talking I'll be going once a month this place was really such a gem. Service was great and I like how it's seat yourself, order at the bar, etc. as it allowed to go pace my experience and stay to to enjoy the environment. Next time I go I'm 100% ordering the blue matcha latte. Anyways, I love this place! I wish one would open up closer to my home but I will make the trip to westlake for the food time and time again! Hopefully next time I snag some pictures of the food because the presentation was stunning!

Hannah S.

Yelp
Delicious! Came through austin for the weekend and found this place on yelp. I am GF & DF so was intrigued and it was all so good! We also got the TX Wagyu Sirloin and that was also really good. Just forgot to take a picture. There were two of us and we got two apps and two entrees and were very full. Servers were very nice and the restaurant itself was very comfortable! Kind of reminds me of flowerchild inside.

Ursula E.

Yelp
So, the hubby and I LOVE the original well location and we were super excited to have a closer location opening up however, it has consistently left us disappointed with how different every recipe comes out compared to the original location. I'm not sure where the break down of command is, but if you know and love stuff at the original location, you will not get it here. Dishes come out with missing ingredients, the bone broth is never the same, most dishes are too salty or too bland. I feel like the chefs here are trying to be different than the original and it is failing miserably. I do appreciate the conscious decision for healthy food, so I will continue to support the original location, but too many times now, this location has disappointed. In response to Nicole: I'm confused by your response, we never spoke on the phone yesterday? I'm truly confused what you're referencing?
google avatar

Yelp
The sweetest staff and excellent food. My favorite was the veggie curry with fresh herbs. My husband's favorite was the avocado toast. He said it was perfect with the dill and the spices. I loved the bread and I'm not even gluten free! I also loved the salmon tartare and the guacamole. It seems like you can't go wrong!! Thanks for a great date night!! :)

Yelp
Wish I could review their food, but unfortunately, they didnt allow me to get that far. Walked in today with my wife to try this place for lunch. First off, they have no sign with instructions as to what to do.. do we sit? do we wait to be seated? do we order? No host in site, not one staff member approached to offer help. There was one couple in front of us in what appeared to be a "line". I finally approached one of the staff and asked what we were supposed to do. She apologized for how busy they were, and said that they were cleaning tables and that we would be seated in order shortly. ok cool! Just then, a group of 5 obnoaxious women walks in, barges past both my wife and I, and they other couple in front of us, and takes one of the only available seats in the joint. Then another gentleman walks in after them, and follow suit. Another woman and her child walked in and had the decenciny to ask us and the other couple if we had been helped yet and what the situation was. Finally a staff member came up to us to get us seated, and of course at this point now, the only two tables had been taken by those two rude parties. Both us and the other couple explained to the staff what happened and they didnt care. Said that we would have to wait our turn and that the wait could be a while. Sorry.. homie dont play that. What ANY good business owner would have done, is approach those two parties and tell them sorry, you cannot just sit where you want, there is a process.. but this place doesnt seem to think so. Good luck. Maybe try putting a "please wait to be seated sign" or maybe train a host, or teach your staff to keep an eye out for people walking in.

Yelp
This place is amazing So delicious The staff is sooooo welcoming and friendly Fairly priced.

Cindy O.

Yelp
I give this three stars because the food is good. The drinks are great and I really enjoy the service! but sadly the music ruins the restaurant! It's too loud it's too intense and does not amplify the experience in a positive way. chill jazz lo-fi would be so much more enjoyable! I can't eat here because the music is too overwhelming for such a small space.

Yelp
This was my first time going to the Westlake location. It's a really cute spot with a ton of parking, unlike the downtown location. I ordered the butternut squash curry with chicken and it was delicious. The owner came over to our table and checked on how everything was. Definitely coming back here more often.

Yelp
We've been huge fans of the other Well location but we're even more pumped to see that there is an even more convenient location for west-side Austinites with easy parking and a more casual vibe for families. Every single server has been so sweet and on top of every need. My personal favs are the breakfast plate and chickpea tortilla tacos.

Bret P.

Yelp
Food is great and service is phenomenal. Everyone always very upbeat. And all gluten free!

Yelp
So happy this place is open!! This is now my favorite place in Westlake. I've Been going to their downtown location for years and now this Westlake location is open. Highly suggest because they have good healthy food, great salads and the ceviche is my favorite. :)

Nice concept but pasta bolognese was a ragu and salty, chicken dish was small with one breast, chicken tacos small. Pricey for what you get. Servers discussed meat and ingredient quality but quantity does not justify price. Atmosphere is modern and nice.

Yelp
I have eaten at both locations, 2nd Street and Westlake. My experiences have been great. I love that the entire menu is both gluten and dairy free. The food has always been delicious and knowing that I am eating healthy, clean ingredients makes it even better!

Yelp
First visit to The Well, and definitely not my last. Food was outstanding and the service was great. Such a welcoming atmosphere and all the staff made you feel at home and appreciated.

Yelp
I ate dinner here for the first time with a few friends and really enjoyed it! The ambiance was peaceful and the staff was friendly. I had the Thai lettuce wraps, roasted chicken, pesto pasta, and the avocado mousse. Our table shared the dishes and it was delicious and healthy. I look forward to returning with a friend!
