I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical after reading some recent reviews, but I’m so glad I decided to give The West Table a chance and what a fantastic experience it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. The hostess with short hair (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) was warm and welcoming, and Mason, our server, was absolutely wonderful. I was there with my kids, and right away they offered high chairs and brought water without us even having to ask. Mason kindly let us know that the food might take a little while since everything is freshly made to order, which we really appreciated. It helped set our expectations and made the wait feel totally reasonable (especially since we ordered steaks!). The food itself was excellent. The beetroot salad and crab starter were beautiful and full of flavor. Our mains took a bit of time, as expected, but they were well worth the wait. They also gave crayons to my little one, which made a big difference in keeping him happy. Mason even took the time to chat with us, making the whole experience feel personal and memorable. I truly hope more people start sharing their positive experiences here, because this restaurant, from food to service, really deserves the recognition. Don’t let a few negative reviews deter you. We had an awesome time.

Our first time here and we had a great experience. The food was excellent. My husband had the duck and he loved it. He said the lomein was the best he's ever had. I had the steak and frites, my filet was cooked perfectly and one of the most tender filets I've ever had. We also had the shashito peppers for an app and it was great, not too spicy. They have great cocktails as well. I have to mention Colton, he was our server and made our experience that much more notable. He was very personable and attentive. Thanks for the birthday dessert, the sopapillas were delicious 😋

This is a happening place! We went for dinner and unfortunately they didn't have a table for 3. We did not have a reservation. However, we went to the bar and had drinks and the menu comes from the same kitchen. The hot chicken sandwich was hot and delicious! The house salad is very good! I was pleasantly surprised. If you are in Lubbock, check It out!

Overall an excellent experience. Service was very good, not rushed but never kept us waiting. Each food item was delicious. This is one of the few places out here in Lubbock where everything was cooked perfectly. My rare steak was actually cooked rare, our guests had pork chops that were beautifully juicy, and the quail appetizer was flavorful and crisp. Even the vegetables were flavorful and tender. Highly recommend and we will defintiely return. Reservations recommended.

I visited this restaurant while on a work trip after hearing great recommendations. My coworker and I made a reservation, though it didn’t seem entirely necessary. The atmosphere was fantastic—dim lighting and an industrial feel made it perfect for a date night or entertaining clients. Service was a bit slow due to how busy they were, but our server more than made up for it. She was incredibly personable and made the experience enjoyable. As for the food, we started with the goat cheese croquettes, which were absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, my entrée—the roasted chicken—was disappointing. It was dry and just had an odd flavor, almost overly salty so I ended up not eating much of it, which felt like a big waste considering the price. However, the meal ended on a high note with a fantastic crème brûlée, just as delicious as our server described. Overall, I’d definitely return but would opt for a different entrée next time. Also to note from what I understand the menu does change weekly since it’s a scratch kitchen.

The West Table is one of the best dining establishments in Lubbock. This gem is located in the heart of downtown Lubbock and serving New American cuisine with a twist. We're definitely coming back next time we're in town. Crab Hushpuppies| Crispy Goat Cheese Croquettes| Chicken Fried Bobwhite Quail | General Cho’s Wings | Roasted Beet Salad | Grilled Double Bone-In Pork Chop

Wish I could take this restaurant with me back to Houston! We’ve never been to Lubbock, but I’m so glad we chose this place for our first dinner experience. Not quite sure anyone in Lubbock can top it. This place is exceptional!! Perfectly cooked food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere! My only tiny complaint is I wish the dining chairs were more comfortable.

Google
We enjoyed a fabulous dinner here around 5:30 on 7/18 while celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary. We were warmly welcomed and immediately seated upon arrival. I had made reservations on yelp, but the place was pretty empty when we showed up. It filled up fast around 6:30 though, so definitely make reservations if you dine later in the evening. We ordered from the zero proof refreshers menu, which was fantastic. We were so glad there were nonalcoholic options here! We ended up trying the palomita blanca, the red berry sour, and the baby blue. Which were all fantastic, but the sour was the best, even though I had to be talked into ordering it since it mentioned containing egg whites. Don’t be afraid to try it! It’s awesome. For our appetizers, we got the crab hush puppies, which were crisp on the outside and filled with moist juicy crab, served on top of a delightful remoulade, and the grilled bobwhite quail, which was expertly prepared on top of crispy brussels and bacon drizzled with yummy honey. Next we moved on to our soup and salad. The southwest corn chowder was smooth with deep rich flavors, and the house salad was one of the best I’ve had with all fresh greens lightly dressed with a bright vinaigrette and really pops with the crunchy pecans and tart raspberries. We then were served our entrees. The pan seared shrimp and the seared duck breast. Both were cooked perfectly. The shrimp were on a bed of fluffy risotto with delightful bits of basil throughout, and the duck rested on a mountain of delectable garlicky stir fried noodles. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, we savored a scrumptious warm skillet cookie covered in cool vanilla ice cream which complemented my after dinner coffee wonderfully. Overall, we absolutely enjoyed our meal and had a very good time!

Yelp
Service is great and food is fantastic! Everything we have tried is tasty and different. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I think a quality dinner is worth the price tag. When you have someone you want to spoil, it makes that price tag even easier. I was back in Lubbock visiting my girlfriend after she had come to see me in Austin the last few times, and we were planning our weekend. I had previously taken her to The West Table to celebrate her graduation, and since we loved it, we knew we had to go back. Last time we went was an amazing experience. We had their arancini as our shared appetizer. She had their Roasted Beet Salad and the Grilled Rack of Lamb, while I had their Caesar and their Cast Iron Seared Duck Breast, which was amazing. We also enjoyed their specialty drinks. This time we arrived for our 7:00 reservation and were greeted and sat immediately. We both ordered a drink to start the night. I started with the Hibi-Jibi, a hibiscus and gin drink, while she had the Peach Ring Margarita. West Table is a farm-to-table scratch kitchen concept, so it's very important that you order all your food from appetizer to main course up front to give them time to craft it at the right pace. The West Table is at the floor level of the luxurious Pioneer Condos. It sits right across from their sister location, The Brewery LBK, and even serves their current brews on location. However, opting for their brews and not their cocktails is a mistake in my opinion because their specialty cocktails are truly one of a kind. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It feels like a ballroom and all the tables are well spaced out. In the back is the open kitchen where you can see all the chefs putting in hard work and mastering each meal. All around, there is great energy. We started with their Roasted Bone Marrow. I was worried about the idea of eating bone marrow since that was something I had never had before, but my girlfriend assured me it would be great. The bones were filled with an onion jam and lemon caper vinaigrette that were placed inside the bone. You could spread the jam and vinaigrette on their grilled bread, which was fantastic as well. It was purposely charred and really added to the jam's flavor profile. We then split their Caesar Salad, and it was a needed divider between our appetizer and entree. Their salad is a good portion for one person, and it was still satisfying being split for two. It was the perfect amount of salad. We got our next drinks ordered to go alongside our main entree. My girlfriend ordered their Fig Old Fashioned, while I got the "C" Monster, a celery-infused vodka drink with a name that sounds so stupid saying out loud that I almost changed my drink after saying it. Can I get the C Monster? WHAT A FOOL. The drink was really solid. The celery flavor was super noticeable, but in a good way. It balanced with the vodka quite nicely. For our main entrees, my girlfriend got their Salmon over Angel Hair pasta, and I got their Pork Chop over mashed potatoes and asparagus. The noodles with the salmon were strong with a very heavy Cajun kick, which complemented the crispy salmon piece, but my pork chop was the star of the show. They recommended it medium, so I got it medium, and it was delightful. Portions of the pork chop were nice and fatty, while others were lean and tender. I was a big fan of its flavor, and the sauce and mashed potatoes really added to it. Perfectly fluffy mashed potatoes. We closed the night with no dessert, but dessert drinks. My girlfriend got The Cold Fashioned (a mix between a smoked old fashioned and coffee liqueur), and I got the Buenas Noches, which mixes coffee liqueur, chocolate liqueur, and orange liqueur. Of all the "nice" restaurants in town, West Table stands alone. It has a price tag but still feels fair. Everything we had was top notch, and I still think they've made the best duck I've ever had. Their waitstaff is attentive and amazing and really sells the experience. At the end of the night, she was happy, I was happy, and West Table proved itself to be the LeBron of Lubbock restaurants. RIYL: Specialty cocktails that make you go "Ooo that's interesting" and some of the best New American in West Texas

Yelp
Food was excellent, delicious and presented with great care. The service was to notch a very attentive , never better and timely. Loved the historic location and atmosphere. We never had to look for a server as they were always there. 10 of 10

Yelp
Everytime I am in Lubbock for work I have to eat here. I specifically plan my trips so I don't come on Mondays (learned the hard way) Every single thing I ate was incredible! Thank you for allowing me to eat there! I had to thank the Chefs by how amazing of the job they did.

Mack H.

Yelp
I made reservations for our wedding anniversary and made a special request for our dessert. Being our first visit, we weren't sure what to expect. Let me tell you, we weren't sure what to expect . WOW, we were blown away. Our servers were FANTASTIC! The food...absolutely the best chicken ever, the steak was perfect!! Jeremy made a point to come and check on us and when it was time for dessert, he delivered it himself and made something special for us. It was a sugar free mango mousse with fresh mango. That should be on the menu. Absolutely fabulous experience. 10 stars for service, food, and attention.

Kathy M.

Yelp
Favorite place for us to dine when we visit Lubbock. Food was awesome! Our server, Avery, was the best! Friendly, sweet and a great server! Will ask for her the next time we dine!

Jarell C.

Yelp
The food was very salty. We ordered an appetizer but it was never put in. Overpriced for the quality of food. Just slaps some stuff together with fancy names to make it more pricey. Never going back. Don't try to offer me free stuff either because your food sucks.

Troy W.

Yelp
Amazing food and ambiance The service was beyond great Drinks were top notch and the chef always makes the special well worth having an amazing place worth the wait in Lubbock

Alexandra K.

Yelp
I think this is probably the best dining experience in town, especially if you are looking for something other than a steakhouse (although the steak is also great here!)... Extra points for being located next door to the LBK Brewery, which makes it a great combo night in downtown Lubbock. Highly recommend. The food and the service are excellent.

Yelp
Everything was top notch. The food. The staff. The manager. All of it. I'd give 10 stars if I could!! Cannot wait to go back.

Yelp
I was in town for a work event and stayed at the Pioneer Pocket Hotel (also a great little spot!) Had considered going off property for a bite, but had been traveling all day and decided to take the easy option and just eat at The West Table downstairs. I will say, if you are interested in going, a reservation is a must. It fills up quickly. (and I was only a party of one) The ambiance was great, and very upscale. My server (ask for her - Stokes) was absolutely fantastic. She was attentive, friendly and VERY knowledgeable about the menu and bar. I decided on the Cast Iron Seared Duck Breast with Charred Corn Succotash-Andouille Sausage-Thyme and White Wine Demi. At $29, it's not cheap, but based on the quality and the portion sizes, I found the price to be more than fair. The meal was excellent, and I would absolutely order it again. What a great gem in downtown Lubbock. I will definitely have this on my list of places to visit next time in town. Definitely a thumbs up!

Yelp
Service was great, I think I expected slightly more from the food. Goat cheese croquettes, delicious. Not enough of them but absolutely delicious! The quail appetizer was good, quail itself was overcooked but the rest of the dish was great. Then we got the pork chop with fried rice (which does not and all taste like any other fried rice you've had, not my thing but maybe it's yours) and the duck with noodles. Both meats were great! The sides were.. a bit different. And lastly the mixed berry cobbler, good, came out piping hot, but not enough of the breading for me. Overall, worth a shot. The waitress also told us to check out the brewery Nextdoor

Michelle H.

Yelp
Great spot - cool building and space. Wonderful service. Food was too notch - the ribeye was unbelievable! Drinks - awesome. If you haven't tried it - just go!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places in Lubbock. The food is so unique and delicious. When you're here, you feel like you're in a different city. I love the atmosphere. I've had incredible service here, and I've had incredibly long wait times here. One night they were behind, the service was less professional and the food was lower quality. That said, the food is always good. Be sure to make reservations for this romantic dinner spot!
google avatar

Becca D.

Yelp
Sadly very disappointing experience. We ordered the shrimp appetizer which was made with Worcestershire sauce and the flavors were very off. We also ordered a wedge salad, the roasted chicken, and the cast iron duck. Our 2 entrees took a reallyyyyy long time to come out after the salad. Service was pretty slow. The wedge salad was good, but we were sadly disappointed with our other 2 dishes. Everything was soooo salty. We ended up barely touching the duck plate. This was not a cheap meal and sadly we hardly enjoyed any of it. They also delivered the bill with a $4.39 "non-cash adjusted fee" (without knowing if we were even paying cash or not?) on a bill that's $120. We did enjoy our cocktails, but sadly would not return.

Yelp
We love west table! Absolutely a must in downtown LBK! Pork chop is always a winner plus all the apps!

Andrea E.

Yelp
This is a great dinner spot in Lubbock! They have great options and a vegetarian menu with additional items. I highly recommend the beet salad. It's so pretty inside and has an upscale feel.
google avatar

Dave H.

Yelp
I wonder if the restaurant strategy here is to make you wait for well over an hour (it was an early dinner and not crowded, and I watched the entire first half of a nba playoff game) so that the food seems so much better than it actually is. And look, it was ok (at best) but I've had waaaaay better food in Lubbock without losing an hour of my life in the process. Maybe just a bad day, I hope, but please, if you are elderly or terminal, don't take the chance of losing a precious twilight of life hour if you don't have to.
google avatar

Liz S.

Yelp
Lovely service, the food was not memorable, very mid.goat cheese croquettes, Caesar salad, steak, shrimp - none of us were impressed enough to return. Lubbock can go much farther when it comes to atmosphere and the vibe of a place setting a tone.

Mitchell F.

Yelp
Best restaurant in town. Pricey but delicious food. Highly recommend. Reservations are encouraged for sure.

Yelp
Ambiance was great. Service was amazing. Food was .... Less than expected. Chicken was undercooked and steak was overcooked with tons of fat. Two people was $151. Prime Cowboy in Midland is FAR better for price and food quality. We were shopping in Lubbock and wanted something close to PC. Disappointed to say the least. We arrived at 5:03pm. Was told no tables were available because of reservations. Pic posted as we're leaving at 6:35 with lots of tables available.
google avatar

Rachael T.

Yelp
Had the most perfectly cooked steak here tonight. Medium rare tempurature couldn't have been more on point. Well done West Table.

Angela

Yelp
ALL things excellent. The food, the service, the ambience. Superb! It is a perfect experience for a romantic date night with the one you love
google avatar

Margret S.

Yelp
The food was okay, nothing spectacular especially for the hour and a half wait for our food from the time of ordering
google avatar

Melissa C.

Yelp
I've wanted to check this place out every time we've come to Lubbock it's worth it. Had a great server very attentive and did a wonderful job. They a great cocktails and choice of wines. I had to ask about vegetarian options and they had Pad Thai. I loved it. It has great flavor with a good spicy kick. I started with a house salad which is shareable. All the dishes are shareable. Very big portions on everything. Had a great time and good food.
google avatar

Valerie L.

Yelp
Wonderful! The place was packed, so drinks took a little bit of time at first, but we were in no rush. Our server was amazing! He gave us lots of input on the menu options and was so personable and kind. The food was fabulous and we had a wonderful time!

Yelp
We had a 5-star phenomenal dining experience here. glad we made a reservation for this Friday 8 PM seating, the place was packed and given the quality of the food, no surprise. our waiter did an outstanding job. My wife claimed to have tasted the best drink of her life here: the Italian Spritz with Italicus Liquor, Prosecco, & Olive ganish. Pretty tasty indeed. Foodwise, we were both impressed from start to finish. We are 95% vegan, and this made the 5% carnivore in us both scream loudly. The Bulgogi Beef Lettuce Wraps app was crazy flavorful- the best flavored Korean beef I've ever had. Lemongrass and garlic gave it a nice pop. Ask for more lettuce wraps and chew slowly to make it last. The Crying Tiger Bistro Steak was amazingly tender and had the perfect amount of mint and cucumber garnish and rice to make it an epic entrée. The Char Sui Glazed Double Bone-In Pork Chop with Noodles entrée was a very close second to the Bistro Steak. Probably the best pork dish I've eaten in many years. It had a lightly sweet glaze to it which paired nicely with the the noodles and ginger. The Chocolate Cherry Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream was a near perfect finish to our meal. Can't wait to try this place again. Pro-Tip: They also serve their food at the brewery next-door so you can try it there: Some menu items are the same but others are unique to each place.

LB Sandy R.

Yelp
Deceptive in appearance, the West Table-- located in the TTU district --serves up some savory dishes, handled by a more than friendly and adept serving staff. (I spotted the chef toward the end and complimented him heavily.) Highly recommend.

Marinda H.

Yelp
Food was good, but make sure you have plenty of time to eat here - it took over an hour to get our salads once we ordered our food. An hour and a half to get our entree, from the time we ordered our food, and it was cold. We did have a really nice server - but the kitchen staff needs to step it up! Way too SLOW! Not worth the extended wait!

Derek S.

Yelp
Everything is perfect here every time. The Duck in all of its iterations is awesome, same with the quail.

Yelp
Trendy atmosphere and great food in downtown lubbock! Love the craft cocktails too! Service was outstanding! We will be back!
google avatar

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
This was my second visit to The West Table. The food is amazing! The service was good, but very, very slow. We ordered the goat cheese croquettes (delicious), wedge salad and green curry soup, pork chop and duck. Everything was so delicious. Come check it out but be prepared to stay a long while.
google avatar

Darren W.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Service was top notch. We loved the atmosphere and the downtown vibe. A great pick for our anniversary dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
A little pricey but oysters were worth it! Great food. Excellent service and beautiful ambience!

Yelp
Elise!!!! Aka might-E mouse, truly a treasure! She truly made our experience exceptional- hubby wanted to have an appetizer and go to the next place... didn't happen. Elise guided us through the menu and made suggestions, all were fantastic. I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the crab hush puppies, they disappeared too fast! Everything was truly next level delicious. Get the bone marrow- out of this world. We shared the beet salad and Asian beef dish, both were fantastic-the portions are very generous. Service is about the best you'll find anywhere- ambience is laid back, yet upscale and super friendly. They play awesome Americana music, not too loud- just perfect. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I actually have dined here twice, on a very busy evening, & on a light day. Both trips were equally satisfying. The West Table restaurant, that is located inside the historic Pioneer Building in the heart of Downtown Lubbock, shares its residence with an award winning local brewery, The Brewery LBK. The staff is extremely welcoming & attentive. Food comes out in a very timely manner. I've had the pleasure to view the kitchen staff on a busy night, & their passion for upscale food & service shines. The food I have tried is full of flavor, cooked & plated beautifully. West Table has an appreciation for local ingredients, & use ingredients from within the City of Lubbock or surrounding towns. A big plus for local support! Do not expect chain or franchise type food. West Table looks to redefine how fine dining is done within the HubCity. The opportunity to enjoy amazing food with friends & family of large groups, or an intimate date night with a loved one, The West Table truly seems to be one of, if not, in what I feel is, the best dining experience in Lubbock.
google avatar

Valerie O.

Yelp
Absolutely love it here!! My favorite place to dine in Lubbock, Texas! I love the appetizers and the cocktails. I would also recommend the duck here as a main! The "old man by the Sea" is still my fave cocktail and I would also recommend their Pisco Sour, Espresso martini, and I wish they still had the Key lime Tartini... but alas, they no longer serve it!!

Jose F.

Yelp
We asked for the bar menu, as their appetizers were less than desirable. 5 minutes later we see them take bar food to the table next to us. Waitress asked the crabby cook, if she could offer us a menu to which he responded, absolutely not. Go to the bar, the food is cooked by the same people.
google avatar

Jason O.

Yelp
If you head to The West table do yourself a favor and don't drive. The cocktail menu has something for everyone and the drinks are prepared with love. So good you'll want to sample two or five. The menu consists of an excellent variety of flavors and combinations and they change it up every so often which keeps it fresh for repeat customers. It's set up on the ground floor of a boutique hotel and has a somewhat sprawling layout. It has a bar area which is somewhat small but cozy. The staff are super friendly and happy to chat so if you're on your own I'd recommend the bar area. You can meet some new people and watch the bartender construct liquid magic. This place is quality and highly recommended. Enjoy.
google avatar

Nesreen J.

Yelp
Highly recommend this spot for a date night or even just to enjoy a high end quality time with your friends and family! Their dishes are amazing and I have almost tried everything on their menu. They usually change it from time to time but always in the most impressive manner. Management and servers are amazing!!! My fiancé and I are regulars and will always head over to West Table if we are craving a flavorful steak! Omgg their desserts are something else! You will not be disappointed. I would recommend their crème brûlée or stuffed sopapillas! I also recommended the Baby Blue non-alcoholic beverage! All the love and support for the West Table Team

Yelp
Great food and fantastic service, would recommend this place for a local flair or a special night out!

Yelp
The room was huge and spacious. Lots of room to hang out. The Bartender made the place work! Knew everyone, got me ( the mercurial traveler) made really unusual drinks just right. I had three! One of which he comped! I asked him about the lamb chops ( love em, never find them) I hoped they were t going to be minute portion $39 ! Ok Caesar on Side with anchovies $9. There was drama going on among young attractive staff. They took a while but that was the kitchens deal and I let them know I wasn't in a rush. The RUB! the super delicious perfectly cooked lamb chops were a tiny portion. Tiny lamb chops good! Tender! But at that size a $39 portion needs more. I dropped $100 bill 2 paid drinks, salad, lamb chops. Lubbock Tx. The portion was perfect for a pretty waitress but not for splurge meal. I couldn't afford dessert. Maybe there's enough oil money in Lubbock? Otherwise this is a perilous business model.
google avatar

Hannah S.

Yelp
Caesar salad and Black Drum fish were good. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday night, but I would recommend a reservation. It can be a little loud in there but bearable.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant, my wife and I had dinner with a couple friend of ours here. We ordered a couple appetizers to share, and followed up with a 4 different main course selections. Everything was quality, server was friendly and the restaurant is well done across the board.

Ernie G.

Yelp
This was a great place. The food, service and ambience were all wonderful, and it was inexpensive (I'm accustomed to Austin prices). We were just spending a night in Lubbock on a long road trip through New Mexico and Colorado, and this place was so good that we might return to Lubbock just to eat here and stay again at the excellent Cotton Court Hotel.
google avatar

Drew F.

Yelp
The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. The best dining experience I've had in Lubbock. Our server was amazing and made great recommendations. Nice low key atmosphere and a great experience.

Ryan S.

Yelp
Tanner went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. The waitstaff and food were second to none, but Tanner's interactions with us made it feel as if we had known him forever, a true professional.
google avatar

Yelp
Good strong drinks. They dont skimp on the good stuff. The steaks are solid with a nice char and are sent out at the right temps. great spot for a good cut of meat.

Yelp
Excellent food in a very classy setting. Really went all out and had no buyers remorse haha. I had a duck entree which was amazing. They have a great drink list too. I had the Suit & Thai cocktail and it was one of the most balanced drinks I've had in a long time. Service was friendly. They were really busy and were able to fit me in before close. It was worth the wait!
