We had the pleasure and convenience of staying the night of July 4th at this great location. From check-in to check-out our experience was a pleasure. We had booked a room with a river view and were not disappointed. We had a lovely and very spacious corner room with a comfortable bed and large sectional sleeper sofa. Our friends had a king size room with a great view of the river as well. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the fireworks from the comfort of our room.||We were informed upon check-in about the $30 destination fee and were given a little card that showed us how we could use this $30 as a credit towards food in the hotel or tour tickets. Our original bill after check-out did not credit our food purchase back to us - however, before I could even reach out to inquire - they sent a new copy of the bill where they had very quickly self-corrected and applied the charges as a credit. Excellent! ||We are Titanium Elite and received access to the lovely club. I have to say it was the best food we have ever eaten at a Bonvoy club. Very plentiful as well as healthy options and the staff was beyond friendly and welcoming!||We even received a lovely follow-up email from Irene Young post stay saying it had been a pleasure to meet us in the club. Such lovely customer service!|Thank you Irene!||The location of this hotel is excellent. You can enter the shopping area and Prudential building without even going outside. There is a Duck Boat pick-up just outside and great access to "The View" observation area at the top of the Pru. LOTS of fantastic restaurants all nearby as well as the Boston Public Library, Trinity Church and Newbury Street - just to name a few things of interest.

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would do it. We absolutely loved this hotel. From check in, through the rest of our stay every employee we encountered was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The common areas were clean and pleasant. The elevators were plentiful and operated smoothly, and quickly. Our room was spectacular. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding was truly divine. The shower was perhaps the best I’ve ever experienced. The rainfall shower and handheld sprayer made for a very relaxing way to start and end the day. The room was clean and the decor was pleasant. Our daily housekeeping service was above and beyond, each day of our stay. They clearly had a great eye for detail. My mom had spilled something on her hotel provided robe. The housekeeper took notice and replaced that robe with a clean one. I would rate this hotel as one of the best hotels experiences that I’ve ever had. While it wasn’t the cheapest place to stay (it also wasn’t the most expensive option) it was well worth the price.

The hotel is located in a great and safe neighborhood. A couple of nights we came back to the hotel after 10 pm walking without any issue. Connected to Copley Mall in case you want to go to the CityView at the Prudential tower, Dick’s House of Sports, etc. I was in the 27th floor in a corner room. The view was beautiful. The Hotel received us with chocolate cake for our anniversary which was a very nice treat after a long trip. The receptionists were very nice always in person and over the phone with our questions. Housekeeping is an amazing improvement area. The room was not very clean after they left every day with the exception of our first day. We stayed here for a week and paid over $3K, so we expected a different service on that area. Metro stations for Copley and Back Bay are pretty much a block away from the hotel (see the photos). Finally, the Ingredients Cafeteria requires some urgent customer service improvement. I went there a few days for breakfast at 7:30 am and the cashier was always a bit rude to customers. The food at Ingredients is expensive for what you are getting (croissants, cookies, sandwiches), and definitely not very tasty. My options were basically spend my daily credit there or pay $1600 for breakfast for me and my family (2 adults, a 9 & 4 y/o kids) at the hotel restaurant for the week we stayed in this hotel and I found that a bit expensive for a 6 days breakfast fee.

Great hotel! So quiet, nothing makes me happier than a nice quiet room 😴 House keeping was amazing and kind to my wild boys. Elevators could get a little congested at times but we just used that as an opportunity to make new friends.

Used my Marriott points and upgraded to this hotel. Worth every penny! We luckily got a corner room and it was great! Room was clean, staff interactions were pleasant, rain shower was awesome. Would 1,000% stay here again. Location was spectacular

What a great place to stay. |Views are all amazing. Location, so close to Fenway, Newberry st,, subway- green line or orange ||Our favorite is breakfast at the Club (have to pay a little more but it’s nice) especially Irene Yeung! She is so fun and welcoming to see every trip

This place is a nightmare. The service is lazy and rude, the rooms are renovated — but in all of the wrong ways. They have new surfaces, but smell awful, damp and like someone has been smoking. There is one, tiny AC vent and it’s taken us two hours to lower the room 2 degrees. We booked a river view room for the 4th of July and were placed on the 19th floor staring at a building— no view. When we asked about changing rooms, the receptionist said yes but we would just have to wait a bit. He disappeared to talk to his manager. The manage must have declined our request, because suddenly nothing was available. I’ve been watching people check in on high floors all day. There is a massive dance competition going on in the hotel with children screaming and running around the halls. The hotel feels gross, and I’m really sad about the experience, particularly because it was so expensive. Avoid at all costs.

7/3/24 Bathroom was dirty at the time we get into the room, then my wife and I went back to the lobby to request a change of our room (room 2519), but front desk clerk unfortunately was not able to offer another room with a clean bathroom…FYI room service came to clean the room but my wife was already very disappointed to open our room and see that the bathroom was not well cleaned, also we felt that the front desk clerk didn’t show any concern and any desire to help us . We are very disappointed of the service and the room we received at The Westin Copley Place in Boston. 7/4/24 Thank you for your company protocol “ to Apologize”, here are more photos after room service came to take care of our room. We requested a same price upgrade with no response.

Yelp
I travel to Boston twice a year for personal business and until finding this hotel, stayed in several other hotels. Now it's my first choice because the rooms are always very clean, comfortably furnished including the wonderful beds and pillows, and the hotel staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. From check in to departure, every staff member really appreciates your business. The hotel is centrally located for my needs, and it's an easy walk to Fenway for Red Sox games, and it's also an easy walk to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts - a world class museum. Just across the street is the Boston Public Library and nearby a plenty of excellent restaurants. Another excellent feature of the hotel is the Westin Club Lounge where Irene and her staff provide superb service, great food (highly recommend breakfast) and an assortment of beverages.

Yelp
Since our son started college in Boston, we've stayed here over ten times, and we absolutely love it! The staff here has truly made this hotel feel like home. A special mention goes to Irene Yeung, the Executive Assistant and Westin Experience Specialist, who greets us each morning like old friends. Her warm presence makes the club lounge an inviting place to spend time, with its spacious areas and a coffee machine that can whip up any coffee drink. The whole team is super friendly and accommodating. The hotel rooms are spacious with beautiful views, and the room service menu is available all day--perfect when we feel like relaxing inside. Housekeeping is prompt and attentive, quickly providing any items we might need. The hotel's location is another highlight, as it's connected to Copley Place, an indoor shopping mall in Boston's Back Bay. This makes it easy to find great food and shop for anything we need. In winter, it's especially convenient; we can walk around the mall without even stepping outside, getting in some daily exercise along the way. I can't imagine visiting Boston without staying here. Many thanks to Irene Yeung and the entire team for making our stays in Boston so memorable

Yelp
The receptionist at checking was rude. When I presented my platinum membership card, she asked me to read the membership number on the card since she didn't want to read it herself. But the manner in which she told me to read the number was rude. The hotel bath towels felt like sand paper. Worst Westin experience in my 200 nights a year at Westin hotels worldwide.

Yelp
We first reserved this hotel via Amex The Hotel Collection to get some Amex card benefits. I was originally planning to stay here for two nights and then to find somewhere cheaper for the rest. After some researches, it turned out that the rate at this hotel wasn't that expensive among the hotels in the same area and even those AirBnB places. Therefore, I ended up reserving here for an entire week. The location of this hotel is very good. It's in the best area of Boston, Back Bay. There's an airport shuttle stop, just in the next block, which makes it easy to travel from or to the airport. There are commuting bridges from the hotel to the Prudential Center and the Copley Place so that you can just walk over if you need anything. When we were in Boston, it rained a lot, so we were able to use this access to shop or eat at the Prudential Center and the Copley Place. The people at front desk of the hotel are generally friendly, but sometimes they gave me conflicting information, which was very confusing. For example, as soon as I arrive at the hotel to check in, I was told that someone would deliver the breakfast vouchers to my room later. Someone did deliver a welcome gift to my room later but not breakfast vouchers, so I had to come down the next morning to ask for breakfast vouchers, which were actually in the drawers of the front desk. There's a $30 destination fee every day for this hotel, because I received $100 credit from Amex reservation that could apply to the fees, it was a bit confusing. I asked the front desk a few times, and everyone gave me different answers. Good thing is that they're still friendly and nice except the guy at the time of check out. Since it was confusing about the fees and credit, I asked more details at the time of check out, the guy at the front desk was so impatient that he actually showed some attitude to me. He didn't even say thank you during the check out. It was not a good feeling and it really ruined the positive feeling about this hotel. The housekeeping was quite interesting here. I normally left some money under the pillow as tip to the housekeepers. When we left the hotel the second morning, I left some money under my pillow. When we came back in the evening, the money was lined up on top of the pillow. I guess the housekeeper didn't want it, so for the rest of the days, I just skip tipping, which was fine for me. The housekeeper would come early like 8 am when we just woke up, and when she saw we're still in PJs, she complained that I didn't place the "do not disturb" sign. Okay! Since that, I just had to place that sign before going to bed. The cleaning work is generally good though. Will I be coming back again? Well, despite the attitude from that front desk guy, my experience was generally good here. I would love to come again to give it another chance!

Yelp
Stayed here for a week on a conference. The facility is overall well kept. Rooms are spacious. Also like the option of getting in room yoga gear for $5/day and in room massage gun for $5/day. Beds are comfortable and they do provide sleep aroma balm, which is a nice touch. The bar at lobby is nice. Location is excellent. Walking distance to the ball park. The facility does come with a lot of history. So not everything is working the way it is supposed to be. Some of the switches look very old (yellowish). Some power outlets are not working. It also took them a very long time to deliver in room yoga gear or pick them up. Wait time is over 30min and you need to be in the room. I had to leave and never saw the person who was supposed to pick it up after 40 min of wait. The in room yoga gear was nice. Comes with resistance bands, 2 lbs ankle weights, 2 curved yoga blocks, and a yoga mat. It does the job. They also provide 2 bottles of water per day. Overall, nice stay at Westin. Conference wide, rooms are a bit cold (normal). Food was just okay. I am surprised that they don't offer hot water often... was hoping to get more tea than I possibly could.

Liza V.

Yelp
I am attending an academic conference at the Westin Copley Place. I require physical accommodations and was very nervous about being able to sit through the long conference. Prior to attending, I spoke with the concierge Eilis, who was so respectful and had several great ideas to allow me to attend in person. She has been so easy to get in touch with and supportive. I truly appreciate her efforts and thinking outside the box which allowed me to attend the conference in person comfortably. I am very grateful!

Yelp
On the morning of November 29th, I brought a complaint to the attention of the valet manager. Despite being assured that I would receive a response within a reasonable timeframe, I had to follow up after waiting over 24 hours without any communication from him. When I called for an update, not only was the issue unresolved, but the valet manager's behavior during our interaction was both unprofessional and deeply disrespectful. When I expressed that the incident had hurt my feelings, he mocked me by repeating my words, saying, "Your feeling? (laugh)," which left me feeling insulted and belittled. This reaction was inappropriate and unacceptable, especially coming from someone in a leadership position. I am compelled to raise an even more serious concern: I cannot help but feel that his attitude toward me may have been influenced by my race. Such a possibility, if true, is profoundly disheartening and contrary to the values of respect and inclusivity I would expect from a hotel of your reputation. I am very disappointed by how this situation has been handled and by the lack of urgency or empathy shown in addressing my complaint.

Yelp
Carlos in customer service needs to be fired! I called the hotel last night (Nov. 26, 2024 at 10:30 PM) to be connected to the front desk. I spoke to Carlos. He said just call the number again and select the number zero. I told him I did that, but a restrictive recording continues to come on and I am passed to his department once again. He asked for my reservation number, and I gave it to him. He pulled up the date which was a future date a few days out from the current and he got mad and said that is not the correct number. I apologized and found the correct reservation number for the several night stay Nov. Nov. 24-27, 2024 vs. Nov. 29, 2024. He then reprimanded me and told me how could I expect him to call up the reservation if I did not have the correct number. I once again told him I had two reservations in the same week and gave him the correct number. Initially he indicated he would send my message to the front desk, but at this time he told me I would have to call the number again and select the number zero and ask for the front desk. I once gain explained to him that it was not possible with this restricted options I get when I call the main number and I needed him to get a message to the front desk. He indicated he would not do that and I asked him why considering he said he would upon our initial call and my difficulty getting to the front staff. He then got mad and said, well I was going to do you a favor, but now I'm not and you will need to call that number again. I think he needs to find another place to work for other people I have interacted with were all pleasant and helpful.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with a great location! This is my favorite place to stay in Boston. It's a central location that's close to the T and very close to some of my favorite places including Newbury Street. Service is friendly and I love the large spacious rooms. My family of four were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Meg N.

Yelp
Clean, safe and close to everything! Food was great at bar10 Rooms were clean and comfortable!

Yelp
Check in was easy, room was simple, but clean with all functioning equipment. We needed to request additional towels. We did not utilize room cleaning. Otherwise we had no major bumps. Valley parking staff is exceptional. However, we do travel quite a bit and the price for what is provided is exceedingly high. I understand that staying in the heart of Boston is expensive, but there's no pool, toiletries in the room are minimal - no shower cap, no mouthwash. You have to ask for add towels. Free internet is beyond basic and for close to $400/day there could have been higher speed internet included (the charge is btw $15-20/day for higher speed). Room service delivery surcharge is $10 lol - your breakfast oats will be glorious $28. Waiting for an elevator requires additional time allotting. For the next conf I'll consider staying elsewhere more reasonably priced and not overcrowded.

Yelp
We've enjoyed Westins in Phoenix and Singapore but this is one I would skip. The location is superb but the facilities are subpar and the resort fees are extraordinarily irritating. When we arrived, we were sent to a room that was clearly halfway though a cleaning. The staff was apologetic and professional and got us into a clean room. But the next day, we started our odyssey with the $30 Destination fee that is included in the daily room charge. If you spend $30 or more in locations on their property, the destination fee is waived. The problem was the effort to spend $30 on their property was limited to a few subpar locations and this resulted in an otherwise relaxed vacation become stressful. "We were there yesterday but I guess we have to go back." "Did we spend $30 yet?" "Why do we have to go here when there are hundreds of better places within walking distance?" And if Fogo de Chao was included among the options, I wish someone had told us. Even the staff admitted that the fees were irritating and difficult to deal with as a staff member. Our daughter is a Boston U student and we will be staying elsewhere in the future.

Lisa G.

Yelp
We arrived pretty late in Boston from California but there's a free shuttle from the airport that drops off around the corner just a few minute walk to the hotel. I originally booked the executive king suite but my daughter decided to meet us there so we asked to move to a room with two queens. They were fully booked so they only had a standard room. It was a little cramped for three adults but we were exhausted so we took it. The view was stunning and the hotel was walking distance to so many great restaurants and public transportation. The morning after our first night we realized that the AC in our room wasn't working. It wouldn't get cooler than 74°. It was pretty uncomfortable for three adults in a small room. Maintenance came up twice to try to fix it before they moved us into a Queen suite, which is the room we though we switched to when I found out my daughter was joining us. The room was spacious with even better views. We ordered room service a couple times. The first time the person that brought our food up specifically asked for a cash tip. That was odd. We stayed a total of three nights and would definitely stay here again.

Eric L.

Yelp
Nice location at the center of Boston. It's connected to the shopping plaza and the convention center. Although it does not have a swimming pool, it has a 24/7 fitness center. The fitness center has a couple of Peloton bikes and a recovery center. I was pretty impressed at the amenities provided.

Yelp
The Westin Copley Place advertises itself on Google Maps as a 4-star hotel and is rated as a 4-diamond hotel on AAA. The hotel is centrally located in the Back Bay area of downtown Boston, only 1 block from the Back Bay train station which makes it convenient if arriving/departing by train. The airport is just a 15-minute ride away. The hotel has a nice, modern lobby with a full-service restaurant/bar. During the day there is a helpful concierge desk for local area suggestions and a luggage assistance desk to store or help you with your luggage. The check-in process was quick. The hotel had no more suites to upgrade us to, but they did upgrade us to a room with a view on a high floor - thank you Westin Copley. The room (2911) was across from an ice machine, which is never ideal if you are a light sleeper but at this hour, we decided to just make the best of it. The room was clean and spacious, the furnishings were new and modern. The view from the room was amazing. The bathroom was bright and clean. We love that Marriott invests in a rain head, shower wand combination at most Marriott brands we stay at. It really improves the shower and is something you do not find at Hilton and other similar brands. Westin used to be known for their 'heavenly bed,' but this Westin had the 'bed from he**' (rhymes with bell). The poly-cotton sheets and bedding were not the quality of a heavenly bed at all. The pillows were pure evil unless you like overstuffed foam pillows. They were like sleeping on a balloon. We asked for feather pillows but none were available our first night. We found out the next day that this hotel hardly has any feather pillows. They use feather allergies as an excuse not to carry them. We finally scored two sad feather pillows. What 4-star/4-diamond hotel does not have feather pillows in the room or at least on request? We like the room on the colder side. The thermostat limits the temperature to 65 degrees, which would have been fine had it gotten to 65. The best we could achieve was 71 degrees. Even with the window open and the temperature outside in the mid-20s we could not get the room any colder than 71 degrees. We asked for a fan and received a fan that was loud and wobbly. On high, it would not even stay upright. After a few hours, the hotel did find us a fan that worked properly. With the combination of the fan and the feather pillows we were able to get a much better sleep the second night. We told Daymeyn at the concierge desk our issues. He was incredibly apologetic and when we returned from our dinner we arrived back to a chilled bottle of wine and some pastries - a nice touch. Thank you Daymeyn. There was a pizza box on the top of the trash can at the bank of elevators on floor 29. That pizza box and empty coffee cup was there nearly the entire time we were there. The room temperature and the bedding were two big issues for us. I would not stay at this hotel again. The hotel did try and make up for the issues we had but, in the end, the combination of an uncomfortable bed and the inability to cool the room to our liking was just too much. Based on our experience I will be rating this hotel as 3-stars, with the bedding/pillows being the biggest factor for this reduced rating.

Yelp
This is one of favorite hotels in one of our favorite cities in the United States of America. (out top favorite location is Maui) We have stayed here 10-15 different times over the past 10+ years. Central location with access to all of Boston, especially via the T (Boston Subway is awesome - Green, Orange or Blue lines! wish we had something close to this in Texas) Near Fenway, Back bay, Newberry, Beacon Hill, North end, etc. A person that really has made is special over the years is Irene Yeung. She knows us on site, by name, and just fun to work with! Every person is so helpful -from check in, check out, concierge -Frank!. and the views !

Yelp
Service. Upgraded room. Location is terrific. Close to green line and the many restaurants to Newberry street.

Yelp
We wanted to express our  gratitude to Irene Yeung and the staff at the Westin Copley Place in Boston for taking such good care of us during this past year of medical treatment. The room was impeccable and every detail was taken care of, allowing us to focus on recovery. Each and every request was met with a smile and fulfilled immediately. The location was also ideal for anything we needed in Boston. Thank you for making our stay a comfortable and positive experience. You went above and beyond to accommodate our special needs and preferences. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view of the city. The amenities were superb, we particularly enjoyed the concierge lounge breakfasts and evening snacks. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. They always greeted us and made us feel at home. The hotel was also conveniently located near the hospital, the subway, and many restaurants and shops. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during this challenging time. We are truly grateful for your hospitality and kindness. You made a difference in our lives and we will always remember you. We hope to visit you again under happier circumstances. Thank you Irene and team for everything.

Yelp
Overall. A lovely stay I had at this Westin. Great and accommodating services received from start to end. Without hesitation, I'd book a room here again. Gorgeous view. Smells great. Spacious. Arrived to specified feather-free bed. Plenty of drawers and outlets. Nice bathroom with narrow shower space. Great location. Easy walks to Copley Square, Newbury Street, and, Boston Public Gardens. A short drive to MFA, BSO, North End, & Cambridge. Annoying Issues. Long waits to retrieve my car from the valets. A surcharge each day to be used only at the hotel's bar or room service - or it'll be forfeited. CHEERS!

Yelp
The room: Room was very cold. Heating was turned into maximum but still did not heat up after 1-2 hour (it says on the screen room temperature was still very far from ideal temperature) so I attempted to use the phone and call. the phone, AGAIN, was BROKEN. I had to find the number of the hotel online and called with my own phone. So shocking I wanted to cry because it was already midnight. I called and someone came by and tried to fix it and said: after an hour, it might get warm. EXCUSE ME? It was already 12am. You want me to wait for another hour? I complained to Afie, the hotel manager, in the morning next day, she apologized but did not offer anything else. The breakfast restaurant: I was forced to go to breakfast because upon check-in your staff told me I am charged extra 30 dollars for hotel use and if I dont use it it would go to waste, OK, then I go in to have breakfast your waitress told me "I am not your waitress, I AM NOT" - I asked her nicely if we can order after waiting for 5 minutes, the least she can say is "can you wait as I get someone for you". Then I turned to the hostess ALEJANDRA who was again so shockingly rude - without hello, hi, I will get you someone in a minute, she said straight: "JUST WAIT. YOU JUST GOT HERE" - as if I was so unreasonable trying to approach her just trying to find out what's the rule here and to check if she has noticed us and would get someone for us. I then complained to the manager and she said again and again "YOU JUST GOT HERE YOU JUST GOT HERE" - so, does that mean you cannot say hello to me? does that mean you can treat humans like they are nothing? She then said "do you want to order now?" are you joking - now you want me to order because I complained? And I want to stress - she NEVER APOLOGIZED. I demand an apology. I demand my money back from this HELL hotel. I have stayed in Sheraton and Hilton nearby and chose Westin this time because it's ranked higher. I am so disappointed and disgusted that this is the level of room and service you get. Being sloppy, discriminatory, rude, and unprofessional is not going to get you anywhere.

Andrea G.

Yelp
We liked the location as, from Fenway to the North End, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We also liked the great city view from our room and the size of our room which was a corner (though the bathroom was tiny as were the very few towels provided each day). The rest of the experience was meh. The hotel is large and has a Vegas convention-style feel (long waits for the elevator, noise in the hallways and between rooms, no in-room amenities, etc.) and no one from the check-in desk people to the bell desk people made us feel like a valued guest but rather just another family on the assembly line of people checking in and out. Also, we were told at check in that $30/day would be added to our room no matter what...that $30 can be applied to food/beverage in the hotel but that is not cool. I wanted to go somewhere local for coffee/breakfast each morning but, because of the charge, felt compelled to use their limited grab and go cafe instead and that definitely had a negative impact on my satisfaction with the hotel. There are so many hotels in Boston to choose from so, while I might stay there again for a basic room in a good location, I will most likely choose a different hotel that provides a higher-end overall experience.

Yelp
When we are paying close to $700/night to stay at a hotel for a standard room, because you are there for a pharmaceutical conference and the hotel is the venue, . . . . . . . you might expect something spectacular but my experience at this landmark hotel was less than memorable and I am not planning to return. Yes, the rooms are large and in general, well appointed, but there is no desk and what I learned after speaking with some of my conference attendees is the round table next to the dresser is supposed to have a desk chair, so I had to call for a desk chair to be placed in my room? Why the housekeeping didn't know that there was no desk chair in my room, . . . . .? Also, while the bathroom was beautiful renovated, the glass hanging door on the shower was installed at an angel so while showering, the glass door continued to slide open, . . . . .so, my showering was best described as a one-armed shower because the other arm had to keep the sliding glass door from opening and spilling water all over the bathroom floor. Unbelievable! I told housekeeping about the problem and it never got fixed?!?!?! In the bar downstairs, . . . . .getting someone's attention can be a challenge even if you are sitting at the bar?!?!?!?!? This hotel is NOT worth the price based on the services.

Yelp
Pros: the view from our room on the 16th floor was amazing, room was clean and large for the most part (we had a studio suite), and the location was great. Gym was nice as well. Cons: the toilet was battered and had issues flushing throughout our stay, check in wasn't great due to a very unfriendly associate, the $25 resort fee was just so strange and unnecessary. We stayed for two nights at $550 for the first night and $770 for the second which is pretty outrageous for this hotel but I guess those are the going rates during the marathon (we were in town for different reasons). We might stay here again but definitely not at these prices.

Yelp
I stayed at the Westin Coppley place for three nights while attending a conference and found the room comfortable and clean, with well-appointed amenities. There are lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance, many via the attached mall.

Yelp
The fantastic location and wonderful staff made for an excellent stay here! Located in the Back Bay Area, Westin is situated near my new favorite shopping and eating area, Newbury Street. It's central to many locations: 5-minute walk to the Prudential Center close to many restaurants, across the street from the Boston Public Library and also within walking distance to the Boston Common. What we enjoyed most though was the friendly service from all the staff we encountered. We checked in late around 5ish and our room wasn't ready because housekeeping hadn't yet finished cleaning the spilled wine on the floor, courtesy of previous guests. We booked a room with 2 queen beds but because of the anime convention, they were fully booked on this room type, so they offered us a king suite with a sofa bed. Never one to be surly to anyone in the service industry, especially one who tried their best to make things right for us, I accepted the substitution without complaint. They were apologetic and gave us vouchers for a free breakfast the following morning. I love a good service recovery gesture! At breakfast, we met warm and friendly Ezra who gave us recommendations for the Seaport district and chatted with us about his family, his native Barbados and his 6'1" teenage son. Then we met Freddy and Irene at the Club Lounge and again, super friendly and welcoming! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Yelp
Pro-tip: Ask for a high floor with a view of the river Location: 4* Service: 5* Ambience: 4* Comfort: 4* Lounge: 5* The lounge was great, large and offered great options during the weekdays. Breakfast and some snacks for the evening. My room was large, bright and airy. The bed was heavenly. Railhead shower was nice to enjoy and wake you up in the morning. Fully functional. You have access to the mall and the Marriott which is nice dying most times of the year (hot and muggy or cold and snowy).

Yelp
Good location, clean, and enjoyed the hotel gym. I was happy with my stay here and would come again.

Yelp
I did a lot of research before our first trip to Boston and wanted to stay in a central place, where we had access to great food, shopping history and culture, entertainment, bars... And since we were traveling with two kids who like to feel spoiled once in a while, and so prefer hotels over Airbnb's I also wanted the hotel location to be safe, kid friendly, and fun. I also really wanted the family to stay somewhere near the infamous brownstone homes on the streets, lined with beautiful magnolia trees, as a personal bonus. After reading a bunch of blogs, I chose a Westin Copley place in Back Bay, and thankfully husband and kids thanked me! We couldn't be more happier. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was that for Boston newcomers, its location is central and prime. Subway and train access are just a block away. It is right across the street from the historical Boston Public library. It is diagonally across from Copely Square and Trinity Church. It was within a few blocks walking distance from Newberry and Marlborough brownstone building streets. Here can do some great shopping and light walking while people watching along the street park, and you can also find lots of monuments/statues along the way, or eat at the local restaurants/have a drink at the local bar. It is a short drive (you can also take a scenic route walk) to Fenway Park. A short 10 minute drive across a Charles River you'll get to MIT and Harvard. Another short 12 minute drive up north you'll find yourself in the North End, and around that area also the start of the freedom trail. 40 minute drive without traffic you can take a day trip up further north to Salem, Gloucester, Manchester by the Sea, and Rockport. We didn't make it to Seaport or South Boston but they aren't too far away either. Now onto the actual hotel. Checking in was easy. The entire staff (from valet to door to reception area to concierge and housekeeping) were super friendly and hospitable and were throughout our stay as we went in an out of the hotel. I was able to use mobile key access via my Marriott, Bonvoy app, and all the little amenities like extra pillows, etc. were in our room as requested. There is a $25 per day destination fee, but it is treated as credit so just use $25 per day at the gift shop, restaurant or bar/ café, and/or room service and charge it to your room. Disclaimer: it is not accumulated so use this daily. Rooms are clean spacious. We were on a high (30th) floor and we had an amazing view of the river and city. Nighttime views are beautiful as well. The Hotel has the famous Brazilian Fogo de Chão and a cool hotel bar with live music, in addition to walk with that connects to Copley Place Mall, and the shops at a Prudential Center! A very, very special, thank you to the hotel manager Irene Y. who we met during our time at the Weston club. As members we are allowed access to the hotels 5th floor, which is a designated Westin Club floor. Here there is a 24 hour hotel gym and a spacious area to relax, work/ read, watching TV. On certain days the Westin Club serves breakfasts - I'm talking bagels, fresh oatmeal, eggs, cereals, fruit, etc., and an even better early evening appetizer item, selection like hotdog, dumplings. During one of our breakfasts Irene came to our table. She kindly introduced herself, made sure we were being taken cared of, and gave us some great touring tips. Her customer service... which included her professionalism, friendly demeanor, extensive traveling knowledge, and natural ability to help make my kids feel like VIPs is one of the main reasons why we will more than likely stay at Westin Copley again when we return to Boston! Even though there is a hefty daily parking fee, we didn't have a problem in that department as we were able to find ample metered parking - on a holiday weekend! Obviously we will be back.

Yelp
I recently attended a conference held here and while I didn't stay here I had an unforgettable experience with their staff. It was the last day of my conference so I had to lug my luggage into the hotel, check it in, attend the last day of the conference, change into my airport clothing, grab my luggage again and finally get into my Uber to the airport and while it's a long list the staff allowed me to relax and took care of everything with a smile. I was not expecting them to take such good care of me since I was not a guest but they went above and beyond to offer their help every step of the way. Many times without me even asking. Bravo to the staff working the morning shift at the car drop off entrance on 3/20. Your smiles and assistance made my trip unforgettable. Thank you!

Yelp
When we checked in, the only words that were uttered by the attendant were "ID, credit card, you're in room 3024". He did not tell us about any amenities or even point us in the direction of the elevator. I asked him what restaurants were in the hotel and he told me to go ask the concierge. From what I gathered, there were only two. I don't know why he couldn't tell me that. I assumed there would be a book in the room with wifi instructions, a map of the property, a list of amenities and restaurants, etc. There was not. When I tried to log in to wifi, there was a message that said the cost was $15.95/day. I have no idea what the destination fee is for since the hotel wants to charge for wifi. Since there is no "front desk" button on the phone, I ended up going downstairs and asking the concierge about the wifi. He told me to just log in because it is free for members and I was a member. Why isn't it free for everyone??? What I did find in my room was a dirty qtip on the floor by a trash can, a dirty glass in the bathroom, old drab bath robes and a rusty can opener in the refrigerator. Clearly, housekeeping is not very thorough and I did not see any modern appointments except for maybe the bathroom door. And don't expect any extras like slippers, vanity kits or shower caps. The only thing you find in your room is soap. Don't expect anything special by being a member. I have been a member for many years and I was stuck next to the housekeeping closet. Perhaps these should be reserved for people booking through third parties and not long time members. I would stay far away from Ingredients unless you don't mind that the cashier rubs his bald head with his hand and then handles your food. There are nicer hotels than this in Boston that charge less. When I answered the survey that the hotel sent me, the only response I received was the canned response of We're sorry we didn't meet your expectations. We hope you give us another try. Why would I subject myself to another terrible stay?

Yelp
The location is near to many shops in the area. All restaurants, and clothing shops amongst other things are all in walking distance. Came here for a convention. The staff are cool. Answered all my questions. The room was spacious, bathroom was clean and the view of the river from my room was mad cool, especially at night!! The room attendant did a great job, always made sure I had what I needed to make the stay comfortable! The hotel has a Starbucks in it, a Brazilian steakhouse (Fago De Chao), a bar/restaurant called Bar 10. A nice little food spot called Ingredients. There's also a Hot Pot restaurant too. So you can get a little bit of something here and there. The Boston Library is right across the street. There's a nice park adjacent to the Trinity Church too.

Yelp
My daughter & I stood here for 4 days on Fourth of July week the staff was extremely rude this hotel advertises a pool on their website there was no pool everything was extra fees they wanted to charge me $10.00 to heat up food ! Also I paided $72.00 a night for valet parking also they where trying to use my credit card on file for parking but usually you pay that at the end they slipped a note under my door they tryed to run my card it did not work my credit card company wanted to make sure it was not fraud I told them I would pay cash for my parking bill at the end of my stay not to use my card but they did anyway & they also took cash from me for the total amount of my parking bill plus charged my credit card beware of all your charges ! Yelp
Great location. A perk was that from Logan airport, the free bus dropped us off a few blocks from hotel. Easy to find. This hotel assesses $30 daily fee that can be offset with meals or drinks. Boston is completely walkable from this hotel: the freedom trail, Fenway park, to Harvard, all within 2 miles in any direction. Also very close to T underground. Would recommend

Yelp
We stayed for 5 days and we were really pleased with this Westin. It's connected to the prudential center and just a short walk away from the public transit stops. The room was nice and service was quick. The fitness center was amazing.

Yelp
Had a recent stay at the Westin Copley Place in Boston. I had 2 reservations, one booked by work and an extension stay I booked with points. I requested SNA for both but only received it for my personal reservation. When I checked in, I (politely) asked for an upgrade to the same room for my work reservation so I didn't have to check out and move rooms. I was willing to downgrade to my SNA if needed to avoid the move. They graciously upgraded my work reservation and thanked me for my loyalty. The hotel was lovely. The food in the bar, Westin lounge and for the conference I attended was delicious. The location was convenient. The only bummer was that the Hertz on property were out of cars but we reserved one from an Avis 2 blocks away for the day we needed a car. Irene, the Assistant GM was friendly and I felt like she was always around. I had seen her at 8 in the morning at the lounge and after 8 pm that night in the lobby. She puts in some serious hours and it shows. Would stay there again.

Yelp
It was an acceptable stay. Hotel seemed nice and in good condition. Expected more for the price. Room was nice and seemed clean until saw a pill and used eye drop container on a table from the last guest. Setting temp all the way down finally cooled the room if we kept curtains closed during the day. Had breakfast two days. Buffet was the standard hotel offering. Scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, fruit, pastry and cereals. $30 per person was the usual high prices you get in these situations, would have thought omelette station or expanded offerings for the price. Service was terrible at restaurant. Both days waited for drinks, 20 minutes the second day. Front desk was efficient, but very busy.

Yelp
Great experience with customer service at this hotel. Location is central and close to a lot of shops, restaurants, and bars. Staff from the valet, check-in, as well as housekeeping has been exceptional throughout stay. Maintenance came to adjust thermostat immediately and overall customer service has exceeded expectations. There is a coffee bar along with a great restaurant and spacious bar for drinks. The hotel is also very welcoming, and especially provided VIP attention for the Elite members. Upon check-in and gift along with surprises in the room. We're very impressive. Overall the state has been a five star experience and the beds are expected in terms of comfort, cleanliness and space! Highly recommend this hotel for business, family and pleasure.

Yelp
Excellent Westin Hotel in Backbay, Boston. The room is beautifully decorated and well maintained. Room service food is the same kitchen as the restaurant downstairs Bar 10. This is at a great location where we can catch the metro or walk everywhere.

Yelp
The location is great. It's about a block and a half, or five minute walk from the Trinity Church and the main library. There's close access to a ton of great restaurants, mostly located on Newberry Ave. And if you like Brazilian steak houses, then the fact that you're located right next door to Fogo de Chão should be a plus. Nevertheless, beyond those few basic features this hotel is really trading on nothing more than a fancy name... and certainly NOT on fancy service. As i said, it's a nice hotel but considering the fact that I stayed in a King size bed suite, the accommodations were quite lackluster with the only features qualifying the room as a "suite" being the smaller, but very dysfunctional outer room and the fact that my room was located on the corner of the building with windows on two walls. - Great views from the 28th floor! (See photos.) When I first entered the suite, and because I checked in after dark, I couldn't find a light switch for the, what I think can only be described as the "living room." I had to stumble blindly through the dark and eventually turned on the light in the bathroom just to find my way into the bedroom. It wasn't until the next morning that I saw that the one and only light in the living room was a floor switch for the lamp in the corner located behind the couch. Why wasn't the room prepped for me? Lights turned on, bed turned down etc., especially given the fact that I called ahead and told them I would be checking in late. Why isn't there illumination for the living room that is powered by a wall switch that is easily accessible as you enter the room? Why should any guest have to search in the dark for the switch to turn on the light? And what quality hotel uses a power cord-based foot switch for the primary source of light in the main entry space? None of these are representative of first-class service or accommodations! I ordered room service one night and the women who brought my food to the room insisted that I give her a cash tip as opposed to writing the tip on the bill. Seriously!? Who does that? Tips are earned, not deserved. The house keeping service and staff were the bright point of the services. They were very good, thorough and very friendly. When I checked out there was no one at the front desk. There was one person who, seemingly accidentally stepped out from the back office, who then immediately ducked back in to get someone else to come the front desk and check me out. The concierge service was lacking too. They were clearly understaffed. There was no effort to organize the coming and going of traffic. There was only one person on duty most times, and he seemed to be struggling with the volume of people coming and going. And when I left, which was admittedly early in the morning, there was literally no one at the front door. It was completely unstaffed. If nothing else, for basic security reasons there should have been at least one person there. Otherwise anyone off the street could have entered the hotel at will. As it was, I needed a cab, yet there was no one I could turn to, to hail a cab and there were no cabs available either, so I had to rely on Lyft to get to the airport. - DON"T DO IT!!! Not unless you feel the need to walk a mile to get to the terminal and check a bag. I should have had been able to rely on assistance from a doorman or the concierge service, regardless of the time of day. In Las Vegas, for example there is ALWAYS someone at the front door 24/7/365. Although the same can be said for other high-end hotels I've stayed at around the world, even in small out of the way locations like the Ritz Carlton in Halfmoon Bay, California. The quality and care that the staff provides to guests should be reflective of the quality of services to be expected from the hotel, and thereby reflected of the overall quality of the hotel. For example, a decent concierge service would have known when I was checking out and contacted me the day before to see if I needed a cab or transportation after I checked out. Honestly, considering my experience, I would strongly suggest sacking the entire staff and starting over again. If the team there is going to work and behave like they work at a Holiday Inn in Wichita, Kansas or Canton, Ohio, then that is exactly how they will be regarded, referred, and recommended, as nothing more than a very tall Holiday Inn trying to build a business with a fancy name.

Yelp
10/10. Clean, friendly and luxurious. Our first time in Boston was a great experience and this hotel was the cherry on top. Worth every penny.

Yelp
The Westin Copley is centrally located in Back Bay, right along the green line. It was also a convenient spot to get picked up and dropped off by ride share companies. I found the lobby check-in area to be slightly confusing since there isn't an obvious line and people can start queuing on either side. The rooms are quite spacious for being in the middle of the city, and the views of the Charles River...though the rooms and views don't come cheap. There are likely better hotel deals in the city. There is a lounge for elite members, and I was pretty impressed by the size and the offering. The lounge was relatively roomy, and the breakfast offering consisted of vegetarian egg quiches, bacon and a coffee bar. They have heavy snacks and drinks (for a fee) in the evenings, but the hours of operation were a little disappointing - they were only open Monday - Friday mornings and evenings and Sunday evening. There is a restaurant/bar in the hotel which is open starting at breakfast and through to closing time at 1 am. They also offer room service which was the first time I've had room service since the Covid pandemic started. I would advise you to look at your folio closely. I was charged $195 for parking even though I didn't even have a car so make sure to check your folio. Weeks later, I'm still working on having the charge reversed.

Yelp
Day 1 Beautiful when you walk in - great location Enter the room- cold- put up the heat up but not working Go to use the bathroom and the seat is covered in dried urine. (Photo available) I then notice small black hairs on the bathroom counter. I pull back the covers on the well made bed-- same small black hairs in the sheets- small tan stain on the pillow case (look like some kind of food dropped on it). I call housekeeping to report all of it, strip bed and leave to go to my workshops. I return 6 hours later exhausted - room has been cleaned but still cold. Call again--- motor is blown I have to move rooms. Management simply offers assistance to move my belongings. When I tell him of my experience he is generally apathetic and dismissive. Tells me he will talk to his staff to verify my story when I asked for some kind of compensation for the 1 night of my 2 night stay. He talks to me like Im being a nuisance. All that glitters is not gold. Will update when I get a call back.

Yelp
* STAYED HERE IN DECEMBER 2021 * Beautiful lobby, attentive valets, generously sized rooms, fantastic location in the middle of all the action in Back Bay - what's not to like about the Westin Copley Place? Probably the $$$ rates. Oh, but I have to grudgingly agree, the price tag is worth it. My husband has Ambassador Elite status with Marriott and he gets perks such as dedicated concierge, guaranteed room upgrade, 4 PM checkout, breakfast vouchers. For our stay, we were given a $50 credit at the Bar 10 restaurant at the lobby level, which didn't really give us a lot of mileage because the food was also $$$. I should also share that I booked a separate room for my brother and used our AAA discount. Be forewarned, the front desk agent does ask for the valid ID. Do not get wise and try to use a corporate or AAA discount and then show up with no proof. This hotel is linked to the convention center via the skybridge and is a hop and skip away from landmarks such as Boston Public Library, Trinity Church, Copley Mall and Prudential Center. Our 29th floor room had a view of the river from afar. Parking is expensive at $65/night. When making a reservation, try to include the parking in your package to save on cost. One odd thing I noticed - this hotel did not have any qualms of having a 13th floor. This is the first hotel that I have encountered in the US that has a 13th floor but no 6th floor. When I wondered aloud, the girl riding the elevator with us remarked that it's because 6 is the devil's number. Right after she said that, the elevator door opened and the girl thought it was her floor but it was not so she went back in but the elevator refused to move. We waited a few more minutes but the elevator just stopped functioning so all 5 of us piled out and transferred to another. This episode spooked me! Nevertheless, I enjoyed our time at this hotel and would gladly come back. The city of Boston is so lovely, it deserves to be visited again and again.

Yelp
I attended a conference at this hotel and the atmosphere is nice. Upon arrival I encountered a bellhop in the breezeway. He was super nice and patiently and politely explained to me the pricing of hotel parking and the availability of public parking a block down. However, the gentleman inside checking me in as a guest, was an arrogant schmuck. The guest rooms are clean, the public restrooms are clean, and the staff working the restaurant/bar were great to interact with.

Yelp
Fly into Boston for one night for a day outing before heading out for Lake Winnepesaukee. Fabulous hotel, great service at desk and valet, easy access to get car in, truth be told had to go around twice as we were talking and missed the entrance. Lobby and Bar1 are well appointed and setup for meeting people well. Family splurged on corner suite with a view to die for. Comfortable Beds cap off a great experience. Ask for room 2719.

Yelp
Location wise, this is probably the best you can get, it is close to pretty much everything your heart can desire: food, subway, public trans, library, coffee/drinks/bar. Everything else, personally for me, I had a shit experience. Ever heard about hospitality? This place is hostile. Everyone is so damn mad all the time for whatever reason (?). You are struggled to get the staff's attention whether it's at a bar or breakfast. They won't even pretend to give two crap about you. I expected more from a 4 stars hotel. When you do have a legit question such as "how do I use the $25 room (they will tell you about this when you check in) credit, and where can i use it as", they look at you and roll their eye like you're completely insane. Let's talk about the room. The room have two night-stand lights that have the effectiveness less than two sap candle in a cabin in the wood. I can probably light the room with my Iphone's flash and it would have been brighter. No functional desk for working. No toothbrushes. The TV's is so old that all the nits has burned out and good luck trying to watch ANYTHING on it.
