I recently stayed at The Westin Fort Lauderdale with my daughter before our cruise, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming but the highlight of our stay was definitely the pool bar area. Yolanda was absolutely wonderful! Her warm, caring attitude and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Yolanda, for making our stay so memorable! We’ll definitely be back.

The Westin Fort Lauderdale delivered everything I was looking for in a relaxing and upscale stay. From the moment I checked in, the staff made me feel welcome. The room was spacious, super clean, and had that signature Westin Heavenly Bed that lives up to its name. Woke up refreshed. The lakefront view from my window was a nice touch overall my stay was peaceful opt for a higher floor and your stay will be scenic also. The location is great . Just an easy drive to the beach, restaurants, and all the action in Fort Lauderdale without being stuck in the middle of the chaos. Highly recommend for anyone who wants comfort with class. whether it’s for business, a weekend getaway, or just recharging in style.

5 Stars – Outstanding Experience at The Westin Fort Lauderdale! We had an incredible stay at The Westin Fort Lauderdale while in town marshalling the Formula 1 race in Miami. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Special thanks to Matthew, Julio, and Doreen, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable – their hospitality truly stood out. The rooms were impeccably clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and after long days at the track, coming back to such a relaxing environment was a real treat. The bar staff were not only friendly and welcoming, but also very accommodating. We were especially impressed to find vegan food options available – a thoughtful touch that made a big difference. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend The Westin Fort Lauderdale to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic experience!

When it comes to hospitality, I have to be honest, this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable as you would expect but it was the people who made the experience come alive. Specifically, Jaylen, the front desk manager was available, personable, and very accommodating. His professionalism and his attention to details makes him a great leader. Michelle was also a bright spot in this experience. As I sat at the bar, she made sure I was attended to and made my daily visits very pleasant. She is also very interesting to talk to and engaged me in conversations. Again, all the qualities you want in the people who represent your company. Also, housekeeping was pleasant and attentive. Finally, I want to mention Fidel who gave me a late check out when I was running late! He was very pleasant and helpful as well. All in all l, thank you Jaylen and your team for a great experience and a wonderful stay!

Westin bar Eric bartending was amazing and efficient. There was great casual conversation and attentiveness. The Cesar salad was great with a nice dressing ratio. I enjoyed my expresso martini. The concierge was great even though I wasn’t offered a glass of champagne upon arrival, they assisted me promptly as well as sending maintenance up to get a lizard out of my room. The ice machine in the 4 th floor only worked one day. House keeping did a great job keeping clean towels in room.

Too close to i95 to much traffic noise. Management should walk around the pool area as other managers do at other hotels just to see how their guests is doing and if they do anything. The hot tub area looked like a homeless camp you had a small gathering of about six people who were over took hot tub area between the cooler of beer and chairs and towels all over the place no other quest could use it when we were leaving I told a woman in a white shirt that there was water on the floor by the elevator that someone is going to slip and fall she says ok to me walks out the front door and doesn't come back meanwhile ten minutes later floor by elevator still wet so I go to front desk tell a bunch working behind the counter about water on the floor it wasn't until I mentioned the potential of a lawsuit about to happen that something was done I'll never visit that hotel again.

Google
This hotel was truly disappointing. I am 6 months pregnant and booked this hotel while visiting friends in the area. We could have stayed with friends, but I wanted somewhere clean, quiet, and trustworthy to be able to rest. When we first checked in, we were given a room that was in severe need of a deep cleaning and renovation. We promptly switched rooms, but we noticed many broken things (toilet paper holder, phone, lamps) as well as stains on the carpets in walls. We lasted about 24 hours before moving again to a cleaner and newer room. However, even in our new room, the air conditioner would randomly shut off. We woke up drenched in sweat two of the nights. Throughout the rest of the stay, I was served old stale or hard food on multiple occasions (chips @ poolside, biscuits @ breakfast buffet). We had been comped free breakfast coupons, which was a lot less meaningful knowing the food was old. Our room was only cleaned once even though we stayed there 4 nights. The day that the room was cleaned, it wasn't cleaned until after 4:00pm - I know this for sure because I had to wait in the lobby until it was done. This is not a Westin as far as I'm concerned. I would have had the same experience at Motel 6 or similar. Don't waste your time or money.

Google
I booked this hotel due to its proximity to an event I attended nearby and because of negative reviews for another hotel nearby. I read a number reviews before booking.||Also, I consider Westin to be aA higher end brand so felt I would be guaranteed a better space. I rate this facility as average though. Eric, the bar manager, was the best representation of quality. Two dinners eaten at the small/crowded bar/lounge were delicious. Why isn't the dining room open for dinner? and, why no room service?|| I didn't use many of the amenities or need direct service from staff.|The room on the 12th floor was worn and in need of refurbishment. The table next to the bed had a big chip in the surface veneer. The sheer curtains were stretched and droopy. The carpet had a couple of burn spots where the nap was absent. In one corner a large floor lamp was placed and probably should have had chair under it.||The digital door key didn't work but I don't mind the card key. The wifi was so spotty the third night of my stay that I finally gave up . . Yes, I called the front desk. Yes, I tried the toll free number for help but on hold for 10 minutes so I stopped that. ||I'm a Marriott member but not a regular. Staying at another Marriott will be determined depending on location in the future and availability of other brands with better reviews.

Yelp
Meh. The best thing about this Westin is the CVS vending machine in the lobby. Although I didn't buy anything from there, there was a huge selection of medicinal items that one may need. I wasn't very impressed with my room. I was placed in an ADA accessible room which is not very desirable as the beds are much lower, but luckily I am not disabled as the room was not ADA accessible at all. The doors are placed where they would easily block a wheelchair from getting in and out. Not only that, the furniture in the room was pretty run down. I did eat at the breakfast buffet but that was pretty awful.

Yelp
This hotel claims it's four stars. However, my experience here tells me otherwise. My expierence from start to finish was atrocious. The online booking process is deceptive. The website pictures the oceanfront Weston in Ft. Lauderdale and not this Weston. Upon checking in at the front desk, my friend and I jokingly mentioned this and the individual at the front desk remarked, "you'd be surprised how many people book this hotel thinking it's the other Weston." The above isn't why I sat down to write this review, but it begins to illustrate the ultimate downfall of this hotel: unfounded pompousness from staff and disrespect for their customers. The hotel is lovely appearance wise. It's clean which is my primary standard. However, upon checking in and investigation, the lack of amenities show. There are no robes, no slippers, no storage space, no luggage racks, no shower curtains, and no washcloths to name a few things. There is also absolutely no room service. This is referring to food, but the front desk also refused to even bring us up another blanket and towels. In fact, upon calling the front desk, I was met with an attitude for even having the request. Here my BIGGEST issue as if things couldn't get worse for this "four star" hotel. While my "do not disturb" sign was up and I left for dinner off property, staff entered my room. I know for a fact someone was in my room because they turned down the tv from 20 to 5 on the volume and moved around my items. My dog was also closed in the bathroom while I had let her free roam. The closet was also open which is where the safe is located. The bed was also turned over for the evening. The fact that staff did not respect the sign and from what appears to me, brazenly looked around my belongings, is a giant breach of privacy and further testifies to the lack of regard for their customers. From start to finish, this hotel made me feel like a nuisance, unheard, disrespected, and unwelcome. Nothing about this hotel reflects industry standards for hospitality. Externally, the hotel is clean and attractive. However, it is the staff, deceptive advertising on the website, and lack of amenities that make this "four star" hotel two stars for me. I thought about giving this place three stars, but quite frankly the customer experiences I've had at three stars hotels were better than here. TLDR: don't come here if you want to experience industry standards for an actual and legitimate four star hotel.

Yelp
The hotel and the staff are fabulous. The Cypress Creek Kitchen lounge just might have the worst two bartenders I've seen in years. Both were miserable. Complaining, not looking up for orders not the bill. You guys can do better than this!

Tanisha B.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed overnight at this hotel at was greeted upon arrival. The 2 ladies at the front desk were very friendly and polite. We were offered a glass of complimentary champagne. After settling in we decided to go downstairs to the lobby/bar lounge. The waiter (Eric) was a really nice guy. We ordered Wings, Blacken Salmon and Beef Short Ribs. It was all very tasty. I would suggest that they put an age requirement for the bar area because a couple brought their 2 children and they were crying and keeping up noise. The parents were sitting at the bar, while the children were sitting and playing at the table behind them. The last thing I wanted to hear while trying to enjoy a meal and drinks are noisy children! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Yelp
Due to all the hotels near the cruise ship area being fully booked, I decided to try the Westin based on my positive experiences with the brand, particularly in San Diego and Pasadena. Unfortunately, this location was a major disappointment. The lobby felt outdated, the room was in desperate need of renovation, the carpet was dirty, and the bathroom was far from clean. To make matters worse, the vanity top was broken, and the pipes were rusted. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Stephen L.

Yelp
This hotel is okay. From the time I arrived the customer service was excellent! They were very accommodating my entire stay. Location is great because it's not too close and not too far from everything. Hotel food & beverages were good. Really enjoyed my visit & felt welcomed and safe my entire trip. Plenty of parking.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
The hotel should let customers know on their website that the pool is inundated with iguanas of all sizes. For people who are not used to having iguanas running around in the pool or up and down the pool deck and on and off chairs it is quite disturbing. The pool is beautiful, but unfortunately, it's a three out of five when you have to constantly have your head on a swivel to see if there is any iguana swimming next to you in the pool. Additionally, there is iguana poop all over the pool deck. The rooms are average size, the parking lot is more than adequate. There is a restaurant bar and a additional breakfast restaurant is open from 7 to 10 AM. The hallways are somewhat dark and there is no concierge floor.

Bruce J.

Yelp
Gym had broken and rusty equipment. Breakfast and dinner were fine but lunch served spoiled cheese on sandwich. Room keys did not work on multiple days. It as freezing outside and lobby was as cold inside as it was outside.

A H.

Yelp
This place is in serious need of renovation. I always thought of The Westin being a good hotel Since it's not cheap but this one really had a bad taste for me. The benches to wait outside the elevator is so old it made me uncomfortable to even sit on it. The beds are super old, the carpets are dirty. And the smoke detector was covered in plastic. The bathroom was left in a way that when I took a shower, it sprinkled inside and outside the shower, had to use on towel to mop the floor, Only to find out that the floor was dirty, the tissue papers were humid, if not wet. Total disaster, do not recommend.

Isaac E.

Yelp
This is a great hotel. It's clean, the service was great and it was exactly what my family needed when flying into Fort Lauderdale with a drive up to Orlando the next day. It has a solid price point and the amenities were nice. The only drawback is that I didn't find a lot one could do in the area that would draw me to it again unless we were doing the same itinerary up to Orlando again. It seems more of an events and conference hotel but it had a lot to offer. I would definitely stay here again given similar circumstances.

Yelp
Stayed here for a work trip over a Tuesday night. We got it a little late and check in was easy. I had a king corner room looking east. when I got into the room the air conditioning was on and loud, after it got to temperature and didn't run, it was quiet. The room was pretty large and included a pullout couch by the window. One side of the bed included an outlet and some usb charger, the other had a power strip on the floor to plug in any devices. I found it a little inconvenient to have to plug in things on the ground and if I needed to use the device while charging I would have needed a longer cord. The towels in the room are softer than other hotels I have stayed in. The shower valve was a little sticky and hard to open but after it was nice. The shower included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. After getting settled, sitting at the desk, I noticed a couple tiny bugs crawling around. Nothing to bad, but don't like staying in a hotel with any sort of bug. The lobby was pretty busy Tuesday night, with plenty of people hanging out in the bar, I found out later that a small convention was staying there. In the morning, I took a walk by the pool. The pool area was very large and right next to the water surrounded with palm trees. You also had to walk through the pool area to get to the fitness room, a little inconvenient if the weather doesn't cooperate. (but its Florida) I received an email after checking out thanking me for my patience and that they are in the process of renovating some of the guest rooms, lobby, bar, and restaurant.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night on a busy event weekend. I booked a few weeks out and was only able to get a room with one king, not two queens. I loved that even though the hotel was full, the parking was so easy in their huge lot. Check-in was a breeze and having the water (both in a container for dispensing and bottled) in the lobby was a nice touch. There were also two bottles in the room when we got there. The hotel is dated, but still feels decently modern. Our room had a huge TV and a couch with sleeper on the side wall with the main window behind it. We had a corner room so there was a set of small windows with small shutters on the side wall, where we could see the pool out of. The bathroom was nice and the shower had one of those guns along with the rain head above. The toiletries were in pumps on the wall. The robe and of course heavenly bed Westin is known for did not disappoint either. Outside, the pool area is modern and love that it is heated. The hot tub is tucked privately in the corner and a decent size. There is also a cabana, but not sure how to reserve or if it is first come, first served. There is a waterfall feature and it feels like a resort. There is a coffee shop serving Starbucks in the lobby which is convenient. The staff was super friendly.

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Believe the negative reviews.....the wifi was crappy. I was unable to connect during my stay. The room is also dark due to the lack of lighting in the room. The reading light on the bed did not work. The flooring in the bathroom is old and could use an update. The beds were the only comfortable part of this stay.

Matt E.

Yelp
Well the hotel was nice except for the fact that I was charged for a room that was already paid for, they were made aware while I was there then charged me again. Then I spoke with them the next day and told them that I keep getting charges on my card that was to be held for incidentals, then they charged me again the next day. Literally have no idea what's going on with the people working there. Oh yeah! Also they charged me for a bar tab when I never even went to the bar. They told me they'd cancel the charges.... It's been a week and still hasn't happened. Hopefully something gets fixed with the humans there because the hotel is actually pretty nice and comfortable. Maybe go somewhere else.

Samantha K.

Yelp
I love the location--it is close to the highway and not far from Boca Raton! The lobby was lovely, and I appreciated the cookies and champagne. The room itself was large but in need of a facelift. The bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed the lavender essential oil on the nightstand. The staff I engaged with were friendly. It is the perfect place for a one--night or two-night stay! There's also free parking and a CVS vending machine if you forgot to pack any essentials.

Yelp
Stayed at this Westin Hotel on Corporate Center Dr. prior to boarding a cruise. I am loyal to Westin hotels (even though I do not rack up a lot of nights a year), as they are usually a classier brand than others at this price point. This Westin was no exception, but in a large part due to General Manager Taylor (unfortunately did not catch his last name). Major shout out to Taylor, he is the consummate professional, polite, honest, welcoming and approachable. The hotel was completely sold out on the night I was recently there due to a 3 day Taylor Swift concert being in town, which of course creates a little bit of chaos when a hotel is completely sold out. I had a minor 'issue' with something and Taylor handled it immediately and professionally. A lot of other hotel managers would have not even come out to personally address my concern, and due to the sold out status that night it would have been very easy for Taylor to just be dismissive since I do not have any kind of platinum or other status level with Westin. I was honestly blown away about how the whole thing was handled, and appreciate the quick handling of the minor complaint. The rest of my stay exceeded my expectations in every way. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again when in the area. It is immaculately clean, in a safe, Corporate center neighborhood, and the beds were supremely comfortable. Not to mention on-site food and beverages available aaaand free Wi-Fi and parking. Thank you, Taylor, for your courtesy and professionalism. It did not go unnoticed!

Christine R.

Yelp
So I am sitting in hell. The room is supposed to have a coastal view but it does not. The room is so loud that I have to wear earplugs to try and sleep. I have only been on the property for one hour and they have charged my card for the full three days instead of waiting at checkout. I talked to the manager and he said that if I leave tonight and go to another hotel, he will charge me 314 dollars just for being here one hour as an early departure fee.

Blake T.

Yelp
Hotels a bit rundown carpet, Horne out in the rooms. Some of the staff is excellent and some of the staff is lazy as hell the food is the same every day and they don't start until 7 AM and they have a Nazi running the door 7 AM really mean 701 according to Apple time or 703, but absolutely do not recommend this hotel. It is nowhere near the price I spent $239 a night for some of the worst service and I prepaid so it makes it hard to leave. I will never stay here again one of the worst weeks I've ever spent in the hotel. I'm raising this from a one star to a three star because the manager stepped in and the time Nazi is no longer keeping you out until five minutes after seven why he gets his Starbucks coffee he must come into work earlier now poor guy

Laura P.

Yelp
Ok so the room was huge and they were responsive at front desk but overall they whole place needs an update and is not representative of Westin or Marriott. Affordable but ehh

Denise K.

Yelp
We have stayed a Westin several times over the years. This Westin on 400 Corporate Dr was a disappointment. The first room were given had soaking wet carpet, no soap, and fuzzy hair balls in the toilet upon our arrival. the second room had other problems. Mold in the grout of the shower tiles. Dirty floor tiles in the bathroom and stained carpet throughout. The show was a trickle and was broken at the wall attachment. The body wash was watered down. There were wine glasses (literal glass) in the bathroom as well as the coffee station area. The staff was polite, but not friendly. The price we paid for the room was not reflected considering the lack of attention to quality and detail. Marriot needs to make an anonymous visit to stay here. This site is not what they would want their hotel to reflect!

Isaac B.

Yelp
Make sure you're parked by 9:00pm, the preferred parking lot (in front of hotel) fills up quick. They do have a big lot on the side for parking as well albeit less lit. Staff is extremely friendly! Amenities- I didn't use any this time. People seemed to love the pool. Bar in Lobby- Two ladies bust their ass and do a great job, strong drinks. Personable! Room- Eh felt old. Carpet and couch had "stains"...looks like the carpet and headboard was pulled from the Brady Bunch or F is for Family... The thermostat couldn't be turned off (maybe user error lol) but I swear I tried. Settled for having the fan on low. Bathroom- looks to be remodeled. Adequate. Rainfall water head. Provides body wash, shampoo and conditioner from dispenser on shower wall. Had multiple pieces of hair on the ceiling. This trip was for business, so it sufficed. I would not book for vacation.

Janette B.

Yelp
Stayed here on our last night in Florida. Wanted to stay around the corporate side of Ft Lauderdale and away from the beaches and busy-ness that is, spring break. We will definitely be coming back to this Westin location on our next trip. They have complimentary nightly cocktails, free parking (and finding a close spot was easy peasy). The location was quiet, and the Staff were welcoming, warm and friendly. Every single Staff we interacted from the Front desk, to the wait service at the bar, the room service for breakfast, and housekeeping has amazing customer service!

Sybille D.

Yelp
Very sweet staff, clean hotel, great location & such good music playing in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again

Xoa P.

Yelp
The workers are very nice and polite, however, I do not believe they handle issues with guest appropriately. I had an unfortunate situation where the resolution they offered did not align with the level of the situation I experienced. There was a used condom in the pool and they were not very hasty in getting it removed, they apologized and offered me points. Why would I stay at that location ever again? I do believe a full refund should be issued, but since I booked through a 3rd party, they claim they weren't able to issue a refund. Fair enough, but they didn't even care that other people were still SWIMMING in the pool that had a USED CONDOM IN THE POOL. I believe the pool should have been complete evacuated and thoroughly cleaned. There were children swimming in that pool. absolutely disgusting and clearly shows that the health of their patrons is last priority to this hotel. There was no urgency in their response to the issue, which is a horrible reflection on management. I am beyond disappointed in how this was handled, not just for me but for ALL THE other people who may not have been aware and just in the water swimming with the bodily fluids of others, that could have possibly been infected. I believe a lawsuit will be in place very soon. additionally, the shower was clogged my entire stay. they again just said sorry. I contacted the third party and they told the third party that since they offered me points, that I cannot be issued a refund, so it seems that on top of not addressing the issue appropriately, they also lie to their guests. the rooms don't look like the pictures online either, the only thing that looked like the pictures was the pool area, but that has a USED condom in it. What a disgusting hotel. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Joshua P.

Yelp
I would not book here again. It's further away than I wanted to be from the beach. The rooms were outdated and my toilet was peeling and eroded. My air wasn't working properly. The only reason I'm giving this hotel a 3 is because the staff was so nice. Will not stay here again.

Sanita M.

Yelp
Not very clean and great hotel. We had dirty bed sheets, I noticed they are not changing them (when you stay a week or more) just turning around. They often ask skipped the room, didn't do the service. They spray something stinky in the room every day. When we specifically told the front desk that we do not want housekeeping to spray their thing in the room, they still did. In the morning at breakfast they ask, "How do you want your poached eggs - runny, medium or hard boiled?" Really. When we just asked for normal, standard poached eggs (egg white harder, yolk runny) they were still hard boiled. I guess they just have to watch a YouTube video or something because even I know how to make a poached egg and I'm not a chef.

Susan N.

Yelp
I stayed at the Westin in Fort Lauderdale for a week, from December 28 to January 4. I was looking forward to the stay because I had gotten a good price and every other Westin that I've seen has been lovely. For years I have stayed at the Marriott across the highway, and I was always very happy with the accomodations. The prices at the Marriott were much less expensive. I couldn't stay there this year because their swimming pool has been under renovation. I'm not going to South Florida from Chicago in December to stay at a hotel without a pool. When I got to the room at the Westin, it might as well have been a Days Inn. It was a small room. The headboard was peeling, the bathroom had the shower in the bathtub, no shower stall, and it did not have a balcony. They said that only three rooms in the whole hotel have a balcony, but they can't be used! The bed was comfortable. The room was not made up every day. When I told the front desk about my dissatisfaction with the hotel, they told me that I could move to another hotel and not have a penalty charge. I am 78 years old, and the idea of packing up and moving was even less appealing than the hotel. My friends from the Florida Panhandle came down to stay for two nights also. We had breakfast in the dining room one morning, and it was good. The front desk kept confusing the bills for my friends' room and mine. The pool area was very nice, but several times they ran out of towels for several hours. Most of the time there was no attendant at the pool. I would have given the hotel an extra star rating, but I have tried to call the manager four times in the past two weeks, and I have left a voice message each time. I wanted to tell the manager directly about my experience rather than leaving a negative review. Nobody has bothered to call me back. In retrospect, I hope that leaving the review will prevent someone from having the negative experience that I had. I will not go back.

Lisa W.

Yelp
The room we had must not have been used for months as the furniture and floor were covered with a thick layer of dust. My husband walked on the floor with his black socks on and the bottom of his socks were white with lint!

Torey P.

Yelp
This is a 3 star hotel; it needs an upgrade in a lot of places. The staff is super nice which saves this place.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Had a reward night that was about to expire so I decided to have a little staycation here. Just spent 1 night. But they gave me a 2:00 late check-out, which was nice. I chose this hotel because the pool looked really nice, and the parking was free. And the pool was very nice, extra large, perfect temperature, a pretty waterfall in the background, a lake on the other side, lots of chairs and umbrellas and plenty of towels. Also bathrooms available. Only issue I had was it was a very deep pool. Like pretty much no shallow area at all. As soon as you walk off the steps, it goes to 5'6", and then deeper. So it's not a very relaxing pool. Also there were a ton of kids running around and jumping in and splashing without a lot of adult supervision. But it was a weekend. I'd guess weekdays are quieter. The room was a nice size, nice bathroom and shower. Bed not very comfy. They had a nice restaurant for a breakfast buffet for $21, but I didn't go. There was a pseudo Starbucks in the lobby. It had a couple of basic Starbucks coffees. The food items were from someplace definitely not Starbucks. But the hotel is on a main road. There's plenty of stuff within a 5 minute drive. Overall, it was a nice place for a little overnight getaway. You could do worse.

Erin S.

Yelp
The lobby is really nice. I always love the white tea scent that Westin hotels pump into their air. Compared to how nice the lobby was, I was a little surprised getting off the elevator. They're in the middle of renovations, which is good because the room and area off of the elevator were ugly, dark, and outdated. We ordered food from the restaurant, Agave Blu, at the bar. You go up to the bar to order. It took about 25 minutes for us to get our food. The burger ($15) was good. The quesadilla ($14) was a normal quesadilla. But the size of the quesadilla was smaller than typical quesadillas. They list the quesadilla as a starter, make it the size of a starter, but price it as an entree. The tacos ($16) were too fishy for my taste. There were only 2 tacos, plus fries. We got 50% off food because we're Platinum members. Had it not been for the 50% discount, it would not have been worth it. We forgot a toothbrush, so my husband went down to ask about getting one. The person at the desk said that they didn't have any. But when they found out that he was a Platinum member, they said they would ask housekeeping. We never ended up getting a toothbrush, but the fact that they would only offer to check with housekeeping just because of status is sad. The beds were comfortable. However, the sheets were hard and starchy. The hotel itself is not that close to the airport or Port Everglades. We most likely won't be back.

Yelp
Nice hotel overall ! Definitely needs a couple of upgrades in the room . Food in lounge was good and service was decent . Just didn't feel like 100-% Marriott . Pool area was nice just not well kept .

Yelp
Stayed for corporate event. Room had loose pile carpet everywhere, including under the sink which seems like a poor design / unhygienic choice. Room furnishing seemed mismatched because half of it was outdated like the couch. Lots of evidence of water damage throughout the property. Food was buffet for the event and was unappealing and the fruit was downright rotten. The bed was clean and comfortable in their defense.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and clean rooms. The gym was also very nice and had a great variety of equipment. We had breakfast one morning and it was pretty good. Would stay here again.

Yelp
I booked this hotel by mistake. It was far from everything I had planned. I'm glad I stayed. The clerk that checked us in was very nice and generous. I appreciate the hospitality. The pool is refreshing and I was able to get a nice workout in at the fitness center. Property is a bit dated but still well kept.

Yelp
Well. I don't have too many complaints about this hotel. It was clean but the pool is kind of a free for all, there is nobody monitoring anything. You're not supposed to bring in food or coolers ect. But people do and make huge messes this one family dropped a bag of popcorn on the floor and nobody cared enough to pick up the bag, they're all just kicking it around like it isn't there ... then the pool is super dangerous bc there's kids whipping footballs from one end to another so you're risking getting hit in the face from the wild throws. On top of that it's hard to find a chair because the old people come down at 4:30 am (jk) and put towels on the chairs and don't even come to the pool for several hours, and end up finding a chair in the shade. It's not very resort feel in that aspect. It's kind of like a while public neighborhood pool. Food sucks bad here. That is alll

Yelp
Dried blood on sheets... refrigerator full of someone else's food and drinks... headboard torn up... this was the worst hotel I could have ever stayed in... the room is nasty... a complete filthy mess

Yelp
Privacy/Security Issue: We stayed here one night from June 10 to 11, 2022. As an Ambassador member, I have the option of a 4PM late checkout, which was confirmed by the front desk at check in. I was traveling with my wife, two kids and a small yorkie, of who I registered and paid the pet fee for. For the purpose of demonstrating how rare what I am about to type is, I want to point out that to qualify for Ambassador status, you just stay 100 nights per year in a Marriott-brand hotel. We keep the Do Not Disturb sign on the door the entire time due to having the dog. Between the hours of 11am and 1pm, we had 3 different housekeeps walk into the room. The first and third one knocked prior to opening the door and the second one just opened it. After the second housekeeper (Gabriel) walked in, I went downstairs and spoke to the Director of Housekeeping. I explained to him that my plan was to leave the dog in the room for an hour and a half while I went to my son's soccer game and I was worried about this trend of people entering my room with the DND sign on the door, with a dog inside. He reassured me it would be taken care of. Less than 15 minutes later the third housekeeper, Javier, did the same thing. If we had already left, who would have know if my small yorkie would have gotten loose. I see other reviews of this hotel talking about stolen goods. I personally didn't have anything stolen, but with multiple employees simply walking into hotel rooms, I am starting to give those reviews more credit. The hotel itself is nice and comfortable, which is why I gave this hotel a second star in the review. However, due to the lack of privacy/security and lack of control of the housekeeping staff, I will never trust this property again.

Yelp
The lock on my door was malfunctioning at 11pm when I stepped out to get some ice from the machine. Waited two hours for an 'engineer' to show up and fix it. Not one single word of remorse was said to me. I left my number at the front desk to be contacted when the door was fixed because they rescinded an offer to provide me with a room for the night at least. No one ever contacted me. Hours later I went back up and spoke to someone new who then decided to inform me that it was fixed. Booked with a corporate account, present for a business trip at this nightmare of a hotel. Also reporting the incident to my company. There is no difference between this westin and a motel 6.

Yelp
Spent the day at the pool. Jessica the bartender by the pool was awesome!! Quick service with a smile. Hope she is here on our next trip.

Yelp
Was filthy, stay away. My partner and I booked a suite thinking we'd have a relaxing end to our vacation. I stress we were treated to a gallery of horrors - dirty floors, stained furniture, construction noises throughout the stay, construction they don't mention until you arrive. We complained to the desk but they weren't able to do anything, luckily it was only one night. The room even failed to stock shampoo. I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment.

Yelp
We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past and really enjoyed it. This time, everything seemed a bit off. My husband was briefly caught in the elevator and when he brought it to the attention of the front desk, they said, "oh yeah, we had the repair guy in." The elevator was not shut down and no warning signs were put up. Two days later we saw a repair man. The breakfast buffet still has great fresh fruit, but the rest was just okay. This would be fine, but the only option is the buffet. I think an a la carte menu was available the last time. The hotel bar used to be a bustling place for a casual meal, but for the 5 days we stayed I didn't see anyone eating. The pool is big enough for laps and is secluded from the street, so that's a definite plus. But, everything just seemed a bit run down. This hotel was a solid 4 four years ago, when we were here last.

Yelp
Stayed here for business, while it was a comfortable stay, I wouldn't personally choose the hotel while on vacation! It was conveniently located, only a mile down the street from my office. However, the constant noisy water flow coming from my bathroom, the fact that the hole on my room door was covered by some sort of plaster, the gigantic open crease under my room door so I can hear everyone passing by was NOT so comfortable! It was hard to sleep with those thin walls and the incessant noise from sun up to sun down. The view made it worth it from the 8th floor being able to see miami to ft lauderdale. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the bed was comfortable in a somewhat renovated room. The pool was in a nice setting located next to the gym, even though it was right next to some sort of swamp. For work purposes, this place is perfect...not for a vacation!

Yelp
My god. To start, DO NOT BOOK THIS LOCATION AND BE SURE TO CHECK THAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE CORRECT LOCATION. we walked in to drunken people fighting and yelling throughout the lobby and no staff or security doing a thing, lasted for about 5-6 minutes before it died down. Oh and did we mention the lovely used tampon we ran into in the elevator on the way up? We checked into our room and the heater didn't work, the shower didn't drain. We expressed the concern to the front desk manager who said she was sorry and that she'd have it taken care of. It never was. Then we ordered food from the hotel restaurant due to us getting in late from our work conference, only to wake up to cockroaches which only led us to believe that they were more than likely in the food we voiced all issues to the manager who in person said she was sorry then when she called us over the phone told us to pretty much find somewhere else to stay since were not enjoying our stay. We expressed we couldn't afford to book a room last minute for $400+ a night and she alluded to the fact we should be grateful for their hotel. This hotel damn near ruined our stay and entire experience of Florida. We weren't issued our refund AT ALL like we we're told we would. This hotel deserves to be shut down and I will be contacting the OSHA and Florida health board!

Yelp
terrible. no staff. no room service. restaurant. not open. they only have bar open with some food. front desk says they just laid off 70% off staf and it shows. this is not representative of Westin. clearly a poorly operated franchise hotel. do not stay here.

Christopher K.

Yelp
I expected more for a Westin property. It was run down for a franchise like the Westin properties and definitely is in need of some remodeling and updates. The location of the hotel is bit off the main roads and isolated from restaurants which give it an ability to let you have a quiet nights sleep which is great. You just have to grab a 15-20 minute Uber to get to the places you want to be. Not bad but I suppose it depends what you want to do. If you want to be able to walk to amenities, you won't have that luxury here. I'm sure most people are here for the beach, and this hotel isn't too close to the beach. The old state of the quality of the rooms and the distance to the beaches lead to this level of rating.

Yelp
Thankfully, I only booked this hotel for one night. This Westin can definitely use some updates. The elevators are very slow and there were issues with opening and closing the room and bathroom door. There was also a loud fan plugged in pretty much right outside of the door. For some reason the water in shower was running out of the faucet and the shower head simultaneously, what a waste. However, I found it very odd that the water had a greenish tint to it. As a Floridian I've been in SoFlo several times and I have never noticed such a thing but the representative at the front desk promised that it was normal. LOL. To top it off, woke up in the morning to find that the ceiling had been leaking in the bathroom, which was disgusting. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the breakfast. The chefs and the servers were very kind and welcoming.

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel a couple of nights. The hotel itself was very nice, although nothing is in walking distances. I already paid through a third party website. The hotel charge me for two additional nights totaling almost $400.00 in extra charges. It's been over two weeks and the charges have not been removed. I'm extremely annoyed and no one is doing anything.

Yelp
We purchased two nights for the King Suite and arrived to a room where the phone did not work AND the hotel door didn't lock! I asked for a new room and they said the hotel was fully booked but they could send an engineer up to fix the door. The engineer never came. This is during spring break in South Florida when murders and rapes have been reported. They tried to refuse to give me a refund for our very expensive suite. After 40 minutes of arguing, being put on hold with corporate and reminding them that this is going to be reported the FTC, I finally got a refund for a very expensive two nights stay.
