The Westin Josun Seoul

Very late to give a review (Stayed during July) Excellent hotel with beautiful buffet of diverse cuisine choices, best services, rooms, and location. Facilities were amazing, offering comfortable hot springs and massage chairs. Very memorable and potentially one of the best hotels I’ve gone to so far, thank you.

Outstanding service and comfort at The Westin JosunI was extremely pleased with my 7 night stay at The Westin Josun Seoul. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. My mum and I were pushing three suitcases up the slope to the entrance after what we thought would be a simple 8 minute walk from City Hall station. It turned into a much longer walk with luggage and an incline, but the doorman noticed us, rushed down, helped with our bags and brought us straight to the front desk. Check in was smooth, warm and exactly what I expect from the Marriott Bonvoy program. My expectations are high and The Westin truly delivered. Walter, the check in manager, greeted me by my last name, spoke fluent English and told me that the hotel had prepared everything I requested, including extra feather pillows and bottled water. He also explained my executive lounge access and arranged for two staff members to bring our luggage up after hearing my mum say she needed a short rest. Our bags arrived just minutes after we entered the room. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. They even left nut free macarons for us, which I appreciated due to my allergy. We slept well throughout the week, though the pillows were softer than we preferred. The location was also very convenient. It is a short walk to Myeongdong, close to Lotte Department Store, about ten minutes from City Hall station and near several bus stops. I liked that the hotel has two entrances. The main lobby is ideal for check in, while the lower lobby provides easy access to shopping areas without walking up the slope. Breakfast at the executive lounge was enjoyable every morning. The spread was not large but had a good mix of soup, pastries, kimchi, eggs and cold cuts. The staff often reserved our preferred seat for us, except on busier weekends. We did not manage to try the evening lounge since we were usually out. On checkout day, I called for help with our luggage and Zelda arrived within ten minutes. She was friendly, warm and efficient. She brought all our bags down, looked out for our car and helped load everything before sending us off. Her kindness really made our morning. Housekeeping was also excellent and consistent. They placed towels under my hair tools, removed stray hair from my comb and always replenished my preferred tea and bottled water. Overall, my experience at The Westin Josun Seoul was outstanding and exceeded expectations. I already know where I will stay on my next visit.

Wonderful luxury hotel, with fantastic service. Room was superb, with all modern amenities, very comfortable bedding. Booked executive king, with Westin club access, which is a recommended for daily breakfast (western and Asian options) afternoon tea and snacks and the light dinner fare that is themed with various cuisines (Korea, Japan, India, Italian, etc), with wine liquor and beer. Gym, with pool and sauna , is very very well equipped. Five or six restaurants at the property ( I tried the Italian Rubrica which was fantastic, and the Lobby bar and lounge, which had a comprehensive Scotch and Whisky selection, wines and a few draft beers. Food was very good…especially the Japanese Beef Curry and the burgers. Stylish, casual setting was perfect. Location is central Seoul, next to City Hall station and the property includes a temple and other historical sites.

I had an amazing experience at The Westin Josun in the heart of Seoul. The room was clean, modern, and located on the 14th floor, offering beautiful views of Palsangjeon and Seoul Plaza. What truly set this stay apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, fluent in English, and always eager to assist. A special highlight was the Club Lounge, where David, Blair, and Leen went above and beyond to make our cocktail hour reservations memorable. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made all the difference. Highly recommend this hotel for both its comfort and outstanding service.

This hotel is rated 5 stars everywhere online and after staying here you will see how they’ve earned and maintained that rating. I travel a lot for work (and all over the world). The service here is unmatched. They go above and beyond to make guests feel at home and the facility is spotless. Location is great, amenities are great, food is great, but their customer service is truly exemplary. I have booked events with the sales manager, Jun, over the past few years and we’ve had seamless events every time. Again, can’t overstate how great this team and property is. Will always recommend this property to anyone visiting Seoul.

The whole staff was extremely welcoming, we felt like we came to visit family. |Woody was specially attentive to our needs since we are 3 people in our stay, he managed to include all of us in the amenities which made enjoy our stay fully. |Even found some goodies in our room. Overall we are very pleased with the hotel and its staff. We will come back again for sure!

At first I was a little hesitant to book a Westin. The brand is ok in the US but can be hit or miss. After reading all the glowing reviews I decided to take a leap of faith. |The hotel location is perfect for tourist. |The hotel is not exactly new, the room is ok but they all make it up with service quality and food. |room service and breakfast in the lounge were excellent. They make Marriott members feel valued. |This is not ultra luxury, but it's a great hotel in the city for tourists.

The room felt slightly outdated and lacked much of a view, but we were impressed by the impeccable service, cleanliness, and attentiveness of the staff. The overall condition of the room was excellent, and we truly loved staying there. The bathroom, while functional, felt a little old and somewhat awkward in design. Particularly the high wall around the bathtub required stepping over, and it caused me to bump my knee. What stood out most was the outstanding staff. They were extremely attentive and eager to assist whenever we needed help. This made our stay feel warm, welcoming, and truly memorable in Seoul.
