"A smart way to visit Hoover Dam is to come from the opposite direction of most travelers; namely, the Las Vegas Valley’s other manmade wonder, Lake Las Vegas—a 320-acre artificial lake about 20 miles northwest of the dam. The Westin Lake Las Vegas is a kind of casbah-themed resort with some great features—like a new Aveda spa and a seriously good sushi restaurant (Marssa)—but most importantly, you won’t be battling afternoon traffic to get back to the Strip. If you need a day’s respite from the Strip, this is where the locals go." - Andrea Bennett

"How did it strike you on arrival? The Westin Lake Las Vegas is a kind of casbah-themed resort, all dusty, sand-colored, and surrounded by palm trees on a 3,600-acre estate. What’s the crowd like?A smart way to visit Hoover Dam is to approach it from the opposite direction of most travelers; namely, the Las Vegas Valley’s other manmade wonder, Lake Las Vegas—a 320-acre artificial lake that’s about 20 miles northwest of the dam. In-the-know travelers (and locals looking for an escape from The Strip) come here to get their nature fill. Anything stand out about other services and features?I loved the new Aveda spa and the sushi was seriously good at the new restaurant Marssa. Bottom line: Why are we staying at the Westin? The reason you book the Westin Lake Las Vegas is that you won’t be battling afternoon traffic to get back to The Strip. If you need a day’s respite from hustle and bustle, this is where the locals go." - Andrea Bennett

Yelp
Sydney at front desk was very helpful as bride & groom checked into king suite 1 bedroom unit. Adriana very helpful with block of rooms for wedding. King suite was spacious & helpful that it has 2 bathrooms. Only negative would be the elevators appear they need to be cleaned/polished, need deep cleaning inside elevators.

Yelp
You expect more for the price you pay and staying at budget hotel quality and service is better than this one. Staff: the right hand didn't know what the left hand is doing. Very unorganized. not skilled nor trained. Misinformed and lied to about suite upgrades. Front desk says restaurant closes at 11 pm. When you go, they closed at 10:30 pm and then they tell you the other restaurant closes at 1 am but then you get there and they close at 11:30 pm. Front desk tells you breakfast opens at 6:30 am when you get there it opens at 7 am. Property: Prior to check-in you have a sense of believing you could take a nice walk in the morning but nope. The nice walking areas are closed off to hotel guest and only open to members of the Country Club. This hotel makes it seems like you have access to these areas until you arrive. This hotel practically has the property closed in the morning time. so much for morning walk. Pools and access to walkways don't open until 10 or 11 am but come on it's hot summer here why open when it hits over 110 degrees This is a sad property. Very old and staff horrible. I see why Kansas City Chiefs couldn't wait to leave.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Westin Lake Las Vegas and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The service and overall culture at this property are severely lacking. It felt as though the employees were forced to work and were doing us a favor by serving us. This attitude was evident throughout our stay. The housekeeping was mediocre at best. Our room was not cleaned to the standards I would expect from a Westin property. Additionally, the food options were very limited--only three choices were available, and there was no food service between 3-5 pm. It felt like the hotel was operating on a very low budget with minimal staff. Given the high-end homes in the surrounding area, I expected excellent service. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Even the bar area was disappointing, as drinks were served in plastic cups. It was just sad to see such a lack of attention to detail and quality. I only write this review in hopes that Westin and Marriott can address these issues or at least be made aware of them. This property has a lot of potential, but significant improvements are needed to meet the standards expected of a Westin hotel.

Yelp
If I could give this hotel a bonus star I would! By far one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in and to stay for work it was incredible. I would love to go back for a peaceful getaway with my husband! This place is off the beaten path a bit (didn't realize that when booked) but well worth it, especially with how well it's priced! Incredible views and property, it has everything you could look for in a getaway hence for a work trip it's superb and I didn't really get to enjoy as I would have liked. Great food for order, front desk service and concierge, parking is plentiful and it's a very safe property. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back to enjoy on leisure!

Yelp
What a wonderful spot. We were touring around Nevada and the Hoover Dam was one of our stops. We planned an overnight at The Westin and were not disappointed at all. It is a huge, beautiful property on Lake Las Vegas. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. After we arrived, we enjoyed a few beverages at the bar (too small, need another bartender!) and sat outside on the lanai enjoying the beauty of the place and the lake. The next AM we enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet and we also had a nice relaxing walk around the property as well. I wish I added another day to our trip and stayed at The Westin for another night, it was that good!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and beautiful pool with a bar that is pool side. Valet service was perfect and super friendly. The whole staff accommodated perfectly

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful! From the moment our Uber pulled up to the very minute we left we were completely in awe. The views from the back patio are gorgeous, the staff is so kind, Faith behind the bar was super busy but she still was making sure to acknowledge and be kind regardless of how busy, I have been a bartender and when you're busy it's easy to get irritated but she was helpful and showed grace. The rooms are clean! No complaints! I recommend walking a short 25 min to the other side of the lake where the Hilton is. There is plenty of restaurants around and a convenience store, the walk is pretty and you can cut through the bridge.

Yelp
Place was the best. Would recommend this place can't wait to come back. Much love From Arizona

Yelp
Not thrilled with this property. It was dated - my shower didn't work (drain) and it was mildew-y on the grout. Bedding was also worn as well as most of the fixtures, ceiling and carpet. Bed itself was comfortable. Staff was pleasant but not as quite helpful as I'd expect. When I checked in I had to ask where everything was while others got property maps. I'm used to more detail from more budget properties. The area around the hotel was nice though far from anything to walk to. Not sure I'd seek this spot out on purpose....

Yelp
This was a beautiful hotel spacious rooms great staff and gorgeous Lakeview. Our rooms were spacious and clean, the grounds were clean. The Starbucks was great but disappointingly only stay open till 12pm The pool bar was closed for the season and the fun pool with the slide was also not available. The restaurant Ricks was tasty but severely under staffed they tried their best but I felt so bad for the wait staff. There is also a foul smell that comes into part of the lobby not sure if it's from the Lake or not but it was not appealing. All in all wonderful stay here would definitely return.

Alex B.

Yelp
Very lovely property with amazing views of the lake, mountains and everything in between. See pix. We had a wonderful staycation here. The property has been well maintained and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the fastest response from maintenance ever - 5 minute wait to bring us a new tv remote. That's record breaking for any hotel, don't you think? Highly recommend a stay here but be warned, Lake Las Vegas is very quiet, almost can be described as sleepy, so if you're looking for relaxation and a very good night's sleep, this place is for you.

Yelp
Ahhhh now I get it. I didn't check the reviews before booking this hotel. Now I see.... First, 4:00 check in is a joke. Pretty soon hotels are going to say Check in is 7PM and Check out is 8AM. I get needing some time to turn a room but come on... 4:00?! We were supposed to have a lake view but still weren't allowed into our room at 3PM so we gave up and took a different room. Our view is of the roof and several pair of underwear, beer cans and other debris. They don't start serving lunch until 12:00. So if you fly in from another time zone you are waiting until very late for anything other than breakfast food. The work out room is a tiny space in the basement with no windows. The weight area is hard to walk through because the aisles through are so tiny. They have 5 treadmills but only 2 work. They have one recumbent bike that doesn't work, and one of the ellipticals also quit working midway through. They are so old they have iPod connections. The pool is pretty but the amenities suck. Many of the umbrellas are missing the pins needed to put them up. If you want to eat you have to sit in a certain area - they don't serve you at your chair, nor can you order to-go. We solved this issue by ordering Uber Eats the first day, and bringing our own libations the second day. Luckily they are not charging for the cabanas as it's off-season, so we are now camped out at one for free. They are normally $200! When we finally got into our room, we were serenaded by the cleaning crew yelling to each other for the next hour. This hotel clearly understaffs this facility. We made it a point to spend as little as possible while here based on the shitty situation from the get-go, but we did eat breakfast one day. Our server asked how our trip was and when I said "....eh" she told me to be sure to complain. The valet guys were amazing, as was our one experience in the restaurant. We made sure to tip them generously as it's not their fault that corporate is screwing them over.

Yelp
A peaceful getaway when looking to escape the holiday crowds! This area of Las Vegas is unknown to many as it's about 45 minutes for most in the valley. A man made lake with a couple of nice resorts, beautiful homes built around it, and a gorgeous golf course to add to the aesthetics! Westin Lake Las Vegas started construction during the economy downturn of the early 2,000's, and it looked dismal for a few years, but since it has turned the corner and began booming. Westin is absolutely stunning with it's views of the lake, gorgeous common areas to escape from your room, and a couple of restaurants onsite to avoid having to leave the property if you don't wish to do so. The rooms are large, perhaps in need of some updating now, but if you can get upgraded to a suite like this occassion, the rooms are stunning in size with picturesque views! Seemingly a world away from the Vegas Valley!

Yelp
We took the time after Christmas to go for a "stay-cation ". The hotel is lovely! We had a king size bed with a view of the lake! It was so quiet, even though the hotel was at high capacity! We got room service which was easy and yummy! Rick's Cafe was a nice place to eat breakfast! Lots of variety and a chef to make waffles and pancakes. My husband golfed at Reflection Bay. A course that you can golf on as a guest of the resort. He loved it! There is no gaming at this resort. I think it would be great for families with kids! If you are a local, it is close to being in another world. I enjoyed my massage and facial in the spa also! I felt so relaxed that I went to sleep after dinner and slept all night long! I can easily recommend the Westin Lake Las Vegas!!

Kyndall G.

Yelp
My credit card was charged twice. Never received our room service. Scorpion at the pool. Lifeguards are not paying attention. Almost no umbrellas for guests at the pool. Needs to be cleaned. Frustrated by still not in receipt of my duplicated money back to my card. I've called twice and still waiting on management to call me back. Frustrated by the cost vs the experience.

Yelp
There is literally zero reason to stay here. The prices are the same as if you stayed right on the Las Vegas strip, but you are stashing yourself in the middle of nowhere if you stay here. This hotel has long outlived its usefulness. Located 25 minutes from civilization, this hotel has no electric vehicle charging stations in the year 2023. In fact the nearest EV charging is about 12 mi away. There is zero excuse for this. If the hotel cannot be kept up with modern infrastructure, it should be closed. The consensus of reviews are very accurate. This hotel is out of date and should be put to rest. These are sad facts because the staff are generally pretty friendly.

Mia H.

Yelp
Booked this hotel while in Vegas to see Usher (11/2023). I booked with hesitation as it was far from the strip (about a little over a 20 minute drive) and we would have needed to rent a car. However we booked anyway. This gem was tucked away in a quiet area close to stores and places to eat. It was so quiet and serene, just what we needed. The views from the property are stunning, but driving up the outside looks a bit dated. When you first walk into the lobby it smells amazing! The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. We slept so peacefully!! There is a fridge in the room but no microwave. There are shops and a few restaurants on the property. We were given a free breakfast voucher. The breakfast was buffet style and wasn't really that good. We also ate lunch at the same place as breakfast and it was meh the quality was low and portions were small it was also way overpriced. We had dinner at the steak restaurant, the menu had limited choices and again overpriced. Room service was delicious, we ordered a burger and buffalo wings. The portions were generous so I was confused because I'm sure this food had to come from one of the restaurants on the property. I would stay here again.

Yelp
If your looking for something away from the hustle and bustle of the strip this is it. Away from everything no casino available. Perfect for a quick getaway and family friendly. Grounds could work on small repair but really that's the only small thing to worry about. Rooms were clean, service was perfect. They have pool side service. Cocktails available only downside ordering food from the bar cafe you can only eat up there in the dining patio. inside the hotel they have morning cafe from first thing in the morning til noon. They should keep it open during summer days longer. Til at least 3pm. So we order extra before closing and took the room to have for later. They had a weekend DJ was a great touch. They have a nice patio for the evenings with fireplace. Perfect to unwind at the end of the day. Netflix and YouTube available in the rooms. Having a great 4th of July stay!

Mika D.

Yelp
The property was beautiful. The rooms were spacious, and clean with a refrigerator, loveseat, table and chair. Try to get a room facing the lake or the pool for a cool view. The hallway on the 8th floor smelled like someone passed gas as soon as the elevator door opened, and it never went away. The hot tub was not hot. It was room temp, so people were complaining to the towel staff about it. The cafe manager, or the the main male hostess was not friendly at all. Definitely not a people person. He was snappy at the servers, and his demeanor was as if he was just unhappy with himself and job. The tall bartender on Saturday night around 630p, seemed to have a problem serving darker or brown complexion people. Everyone else was greeted with a hello and a smile. But a few people in our group he did not make eye contact with, did not greet, and put the drinks on the bar and walk away into the back room. It was not busy at all, so I guess it was his way of not having to be in the presence of us much longer. Mind you, we were at this hotel because we were having a celebrity golf course tournament with a bunch of Alumni NFL football players, and Alumni golfers to raise money for childhood asthma awareness. This was not a bunch of rowdy people, or participants. Marriot corporate, and hotel management really should have meetings, and training to discuss diversity, professionalism, and how to work with the public fairly. And those that can't or refuse to get with the times, should work from home. Out of all my travels, and reviews you guys have NEVER seen or heard me throw the racism card, but unfortunately after what I seen and experienced, something had to be said. Disappointing. Do better!

Mike L.

Yelp
Staycation Vegas getaway.. On a weekend that had the Life is Beautiful festival, Raiders home opener and the Vegas Aces playoff game plus so much more and we didn't see a drop of it at the Westin in Lake Las Vegas. After a crazy last couple of weeks we needed a little quiet weekend and we found just that at the Westin in Lake Las Vegas. We had a few set backs like rust in the tub which normally you might see in a broken down motel. We drank at Arabesque, had dinner at Marssa and a massage at the spa. It was a very relaxing and serene weekend. The Westin has a good size property and Lake Las Vegas has lots to do. They made up for the bath tub and I look forward to my next stay.

Eve C.

Yelp
A quick glance on the outside, the facility is well designed with nice decors and furnishings. Yes, it looks great on a postcard. After a few hours in our 1 bedroom suite, we saw the minor details up close and its age truly came through in the bath tub, patio door lock, carpet, and just overall, not merit of the price point. We had a "Lake View" suite but it turned out that we were looking at the end of the lake that was collecting rubbish. Until the second day, they had a team remove the rubbish in the lake that it made sitting in the patio remotely enjoyable. The staff were surprisingly not talkative or warm for being in the hospitality industry. Staff we saw throughout the hotel definitely are not happy campers, not once did any staff said good morning or greeted us. They just walked pass us with a poker face. The large patio with several fireplaces is perfect for watching sunsets, we were able to see stars quite clearly later in the evening. Overall the hotel is quite and relaxing, and it's still a good option if you don't care to stay near the Strip.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Absolutely loved staying here. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and had an updated feel. The resort is gorgeous, from the minute you start driving in, you are surrounded by palm trees. There are immaculate views of the lake. To top it off they have a beautiful pool and jacuzzi with cabanas and lounge chairs. Just wish the pool stayed open later.

Stacie M.

Yelp
We stay here each summer as a staycation as we are Las Vegas Locals. The views, location, and rooms are well maintained. The property is not. Period. Since 2020 this property has consistently declined in appearance and maintenance. The lower pool, cabanas, waterslide, pool deck, pool filter, pool chairs, pool umbrellas, cleanliness of common areas, general landscaping, bird poop is everywhere. The outdoor water features are empty and not functioning. I would not recommend this cabana for $325.00 The furniture old, the curtains are ripped and dirty. Customer service is still in point, the cabana reservations remain shaky.

Nathalie R.

Yelp
i used to come here every year. this place was our favorite gate away place. last time we stayed here in 2021 we had a great time as always. we recently stayed here but this place has changed a lot. first they are no longer has water activity which is no rental kayaking or paddle boat if you want to do water activity we have to go to other side near the Hilton hotel. which is you need to drive to get there. you can walk but you don't want to walk with kids in this heat. second they have star bucks inside hotel but they weren't open. ( we went to monday at noon) they seems like temporary closed. third they have beach and it's beautiful view but now they only open for weekend over all this place needs many things to upgrade. i am sad this place is not great place anymore like used to be..

FridaYeo E.

Yelp
I really like this place. No casino, clean air! Love the lobby with the view to the lake and nicely decorated. I love my room because I could see the lake from the window. Love the color palette. It was a nice relaxing week end

Okapi C.

Yelp
We would not recommend going to this hotel. We checked in at 4 pm and ended up leaving by 8 pm to go elsewhere because the room was just too dirty that we felt uncomfortable staying here. You could tell the facility overall was falling apart--in fact, the person that checked us in openly admitted that this hotel should probably be closed down because it is not well kept and gross! When your own employee is telling guests that...you know that you have an issue! Rooms - our room did not look vacuumed or swept because there were dust mites everywhere and hair from the previous guest. We also found tissues and a water bottle in the room. The bathroom also didn't look cleaned because there was toothpaste in the sink. The outside patio was so dirty we didn't even want to go outside on it. The sheets had stains on it--it looked like they did not change them. The sheets were also off-white vs the regular white that was the color of the bedsheet, which made us cringe a bit because it was obvious the sheets were not supposed to be a different color--maybe they were just THAT dirty? The chair also had leftover food stains on it. The shower cover thing had fallen off so they just put it on the sink for us to fix, but it exposed all the rusted parts of the shower. Part of the shower soap had been ripped off the wall and the shower was dirty with stains. Looked like it hadn't been rinsed. Overall, it was just yucky. And we had kids who get into everything so for us, it was safer just to take the loss and leave to stay elsewhere--that's how sad it was. Service - But to be fair, when we saw the room, we thought that maybe this was just one room that cleaning might have overlooked. We went to the front desk to ask to be moved. They said that they were fully booked and could not move us. The manager then gave us 4 free drink tickets. We already had 2 free drink tickets so now they gave us 6 drink tickets and neither me nor my husband drink. So that was pretty useless. To make matters worse, there was another lady with kids complaining about her room also being dirty and...you don't believe it...THEY MOVED HER. I don't know why they moved her and not us, we were super nice about it and not rude. So we were a little upset that they were picking and choosing who they could move in their "fully booked" hotel. But we didn't say anything, we just decided to leave. We also heard a couple of other people complaining about the plumbing. Apparently, there was no hot water in the guest rooms! And there was a leak in the lobby--water was leaking from the ceilings because of a plumbing issue so they had to rope off a seating area in the entrance. Staff - I saw maintenance people walking around and just hanging out, but no one doing much to actually fix these issues. I also saw cleaning people near our room in the hallway and I heard them talking mad crap about the hotel and didn't look like they were super concerned about doing their job to a certain standard. This gave me the feeling that the staff are pretty unhappy here. Even the front desk person told us we shouldn't stay here and should go somewhere else. That made us REALLY worried so we decided to just follow the staff's advice. Pool - we planned to go to the pool, which is all my kid cared about, but after seeing how dirty everything else was, we decided to skip it. I'm sure they don't maintain the pool well, such as safer and chlorine levels, etc.. if they aren't even cleaning rooms and doing basics. He was really sad. It was sad. BUT, the water slide and lower pool looked really nice when it was emptied out and no people were in it. We just didn't trust it at that point. Lake - the view of the lake was pretty nice, we will admit that. But we were so unsorted after everything, we forgot to even take a picture!!! More sadness Parking - free self parking. The bell hop and parking guys were really great through for check-in and check-out. No complaints! But when we left, one of the parking guys asked us why, he had also checked us in, and when we told him it was dirty, he kind of just looked at us--like he already knew that this happens to many other guests. To summarize, I wouldn't stay here for all the reasons above. An old hotel is okay, we can do that. But dirty at this level is a bit too much for us esp because this is Westin so we were expecting a bit more than a bad motel 6 or something.

Tara B.

Yelp
This place is definitely showing its age. The location is nice if you are looking for a very slow paced, calm, quiet trip. This is the main reason I book my birthday vacation here every year. I don't mind the limited options for food, even though more places have popped up there are still ok options at the hotel itself. The rooms are just getting to the point of being gross. Mainly the bathrooms. My shower showed mildew in all the caulking areas, 2/3 of the in shower soap and conditioner were empty. The way the shower is it's impossible not to have water get out of the tub, soaking the floor. The sink drain didn't work and also took extremely long to drain. The flip lock on the door also had been broken off so you only had the deadbolt lock working. Probably won't return until they do some updating.

Michael G.

Yelp
During our stay we were given a room filled with dust that covered the entire room as if it wasn't cleaned in 6 months. After reporting it to the front desk it took 5 hours before someone came to deep clean the room. The outside temp was 103, no AC was on when we got to our room and I'm sure our room was almost as hot. During our first night the guests across the hall argued from 12:30am -1:30am. Apparently the husband/boyfriend was intentionally locked out of the room and banged on the door for almost an hour trying to be let back in until we called the front desk to inform them of what was going on. Security did show up within 5 minutes and had a talk with them. That finally resolved the problem. The Bathroom sink does not drain and there is the smell of sewage when you get off the 6th floor elevator. Although Breakfast was included with our room the buffet style food was no where worth the price of $60/2 people. We had a peek a boo view of a small section of the lake for what was to be a lake view room. We won't ever come back.

Judith M.

Yelp
We were invited to a wedding here for a very close family friend and we're excited because the ceremony and the reception would take place in the same area- so no extra driving involved! The ceremony was beautiful and happened at a very relaxed pace. I'm not sure if the planning includes where the bride and groom walk out of, but it was a long walk and allowed us to enjoy seeing the wedding party walking towards the little cabana area. There is a good view of the lake while the ceremony went on, so it was very nice to be able to experience enjoying the view of the Westin and having the cocktail hour outside. The reception area was spacious, the bar was big with one bartender being able to take care of all of us, and there was enough space for the DJ. They did a good job with the dessert table too! One thing I would maybe suggest and I'm not sure if this is up to the Westin, or up to the event holders is a little more decoration would have given the place a lot more life than it had. The table where the gifts were was just a plain table with nothing on it. The bathroom was also in a hallway where you had to leave the reception area which I thought was nice because it had a lot of stalls and a lot of sinks to be able to retouch yourself up if needed. The food that was offered was also very tasty! We had no complaints on the food or the service, the entire staff did amazing. They were prompt with clean up, refills and water also. It was an epic night and if you're looking to have an event, give Westin a call!

Yelp
This was one of the most disappointing hotels stays i ever had and when I was young I had some hostels. But when you go into an hostel you know what to expect. When you Check-in to a westin, one of Marriott high end brands you expect a certain standard. I'll put it mildly this hotel has seen his better days. And it needs a few million US$ update. Yes of course it is a beautiful location on the lake but everything else was almost a rip off. We came in late and booked an package where we should get a $50 food voucher. This needed to be used until check out. When we checked in we asked for a late check out which due to some Marriot frequent stayer should be at 2 pm of course it's or a guarantee and when the hotel is busy they can't allow it. That was the case with us. We ended not getting the chance to eat at the hotel due to a late information that we do not get the late checkout. The message that we can use the food credit came literally one minute before the checkout. So we rather checked out as being billed another night. In the room the amenities where empty (only conditioner was available) and the shower curtain was dirty as was the wall. As said it was almost midnight when we checked in from a very exhausting business meeting and have been only looking forward to take a shower and go to bed. So we didn't wanted to bother with housekeeping at that time. Adding to that the shower selector between head and hand held shower wasn't working so this bathroom urgently need some repairs and honestly we surely have not been the first to report all of that! The next day mentioning it to the front desk did not brought any surprises they didn't really care the hotel seem to be booked out and they just wanted to get rid of guest as fast as possible (hence no late check out). We got a "sorry we will tell house keeping". We will not come back to this location at least not this hotel brand since the lake is a really great escape form Las Vegas but there are so many other brands around. We even now - when we came back to Las Vegas - looking at the Las Vegas westin close to the strip "if that Westin is as bad as the lake Las Vegas one"? Not a good advertisement - as said it's ok when rooms and hotels get old (you can see it all over that hotel that it need updates from the flooring to the monitor frames that are broken up to broken windows. But it's how they react to complains that makes the souls of a brand. Westin at least in this location has no souls it seems it died a couple years ago which is really a shame.

Yelp
Enjoyed my stay! First time here at this hidden gem in Henderson. Close enough to the strip if you want some excitement but far enough away to feel relaxed & secluded! Lots to do, kayaking, paddle boarding, boat rentals, shopping & dining at the Village. They offer shuttle service to & from the Village. Beautiful property wasn't very crowded which was a plus! We booked a champagne cruise with Las Las Vegas Watersport that got cancelled because of "maintenance" no refunds.. be aware if you don't visit this area often they will keep your money and not provide a service!! I wouldn't recommend doing business with them but the hotel was a hit & I will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is one of the most beautiful hotels. Every view is spectacular. We showed up spontaneously Saturday after visiting the Hoover Dam. The hotel was playing Indiana Jones at the pool. We had a great time on the water slide. Bathing suits are roughly $30 a piece at the gift shop.

Yelp
I am currently here on day 3 of 5 days. The first two days were fine. On Day 3 here we go with the nonsense. I left about 1030 am and returned at 430 pm and prior to leaving I asked that my room be serviced. It hadn't been serviced since I arrived. This is what I walked in to. (Attached is the photo). Definitely not acceptable. It took 25 min for the housekeeping manager to show up and she was just as baffled. Prior to this I returned to the hotel at 430 pm and the room keys didn't work. Back to the front desk to rekey and after multiple calls the engineer shows up to fix it. It is the battery in the lock. They let me in the room but they didn't have the batteries. Allegedly it would take 10 minutes to get batteries and fix it. Now 30 minutes later no one has returned to replace batteries. Definitely unacceptable and this is Westin not super 8. .

Yelp
Bad experience. Room was warmer than normal, eventually had to change rooms at 4am cause I couldn't handle the heat. Had to call the front desk several times because no one was answering. Finally picked up and said to pack all my things to move or I'll be locked out. Grabbed all my stuff had to go to the front to find no one in the front desk. Had to yell hello a couple times after waiting several minutes in the lobby, in my pj's looking crazy, thinking someone might be in the back office.. finally someone came out to give me my new room keys. No apologies, nothing.. Very frustrating. I don't know if I'll stay here again.

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful, but my vacation is being ruined by poor pool maintenance. We planned a 4 night stay and hoped to spend a lot of relaxing time at the pool. On the second day, both the pool and the hot tub looked dirty, and the hot tub heater was not working. About an hour after I finished swimming, I started having eye pain. We had tickets for a show, and my eyes burned the whole time with pain getting worse. I then spent a few hours at the emergency room, where the doctor determined I had eye pain due to the poor water quality. Management was nonresponsive, telling me my eye problems must have been something else. But why did the pool water look murky with a brown tinge? I know I shouldn't have swam, but that was what I wanted to do on my vacation. So the next day we had to skip our trip to Zion because we were up so late from the hospital visit and my eyes were still recovering, with two prescribed medications.

Yelp
Go to hilton. Front desk was awful in servicing me. Went to the pool, shoutout to the pool supervisors, such cool people. The lifeguards were so sweet too they were really good with the my kid when he was going down the slide. He had a blast with them. However I've stayed at both and while the customer service was spot on at the pool, front desk was a pain. Gotta go with Hilton.

Yelp
A Night of Guilty Pleasures at The Westin! 8/10 As former Vegas residents for three years, my spouse and I decided to venture out to a new part of town we'd never explored before. The Westin caught our eye, and we eagerly booked a one-night getaway. With our trio of kiddos tucked away at grandma's, we were ready for a night of junk food and Netflix bingeing! First off, the Westin is a delightful retreat from the bustling city - a real hidden gem! The quiet atmosphere provided a much-needed escape from our usual chaos. The room itself was a breath of fresh air; not too small, but still cozy enough for a romantic evening. We came armed with a Fire Stick, ready to dive into the latest season of our favorite show. Alas, we couldn't connect it to the TV. But fear not, fellow binge-watchers! The TV had Netflix built-in, saving our night of mindless entertainment. Now, let me tell you about the toilet. It had a mind of its own, making water draining noises after flushing. A minor inconvenience, but it did leave us feeling a bit perplexed. The price was a steal, though! We spent a total of $264, including all taxes and fees. Talk about bang for your buck! As a former personal trainer, I couldn't resist sneaking a peek at the gym. It was surprisingly well-equipped, albeit a bit dated. The cable machine and TRX were a pleasant surprise, along with plenty of treadmills. However, the gym had a strange smell. Bleach? Alien sweat? Who knows? ‍ The beds were, well, just okay. They weren't the most luxurious we've experienced, but they did the trick for our mini escape. So there you have it! I give The Westin an 8 out of 10. Sure, it had its quirks, but we genuinely enjoyed our time here. We'd definitely return for another night of indulgence and relaxation! After we checked out we went to Ricks Cafe for coffee and chat. Didn't feel like eating much, but prices were steep as to be expected with a hotel restaurant.

Yelp
It's a great location if you want to get away from the strip. The view is beautiful, the lobby and grounds are clean and modern, smells good. The only thing I didn't like was the room was disappointing shower was not clean or it was stained. But otherwise, it was a good night's sleep and a great stay. Staff-friendly lots of parking. Also a spa and other things.

Yelp
I recently attended a business conference at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and was very impressed with the customer service from the staff. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and they offer a variety of food and beverage options. Kudos to the head chef and Paula in the food and beverage department for always greeting me with a warm welcome and smile every morning.

Yelp
This was our redo stay as our previous stay was not as expected. We reserved a king suite with a balcony/view originally. They put us in a standard room instead. This time they put us in the correct room. Both times the showers didn't drain very quickly and pooled up with our shower water and soap. They really need to renovate the rooms as the flooring and walls look dingy. This seems to be a common thing mentioned in other reviews on Yelp. It's also very dirty here and it doesn't look like they clean up very often. I noticed another yelper mentioned this and it is something I experienced as well. The whole highlight of our stay was supposed to be relaxing at the pool, but instead security kept harassing me and my friend. They came up to us and said that might reusable bag looks like a cooler bag and those are not allowed, but I see plenty other people with similar bags and they're all being unbothered. Security kept watching us the entire time we were at the pool which made us feel very uncomfortable. I would say the highlight of the pool is the slide. If you are a adult wearing swim trunks you're probably not going to go down very fast and you will get stuck. I'm a small girl and was able to go down pretty fast and it was fun for me. They said the pool is supposed to be heated, but it doesn't feel like it's heated so just be warned that it might be a little chilly. There was one point my girlfriend decided to go on a walk by herself to look around and a male security guard followed her which made her feel very unsafe. She felt unsafe because she was the only one being followed. When she confronted the security guard he made up some excuse on why he was over there which was not to check in on her. Once I found out she was being followed I walked over to her to check on her. It's just kind of girl code that you're supposed to go with someone for these reasons exactly and I didn't know she was going so that made me feel really bad and awkward. The restaurants here are overpriced and they just don't put out good quality food. You can get better food at a school's cafeteria to be honest. At that sushi restaurant they wanted $17 for a California roll. It just seems way too overpriced for what you get. We ended up leaving to go get dinner and then came back after we ate because the prices and the quality are just not what I expect from a resort like this one. The pool is over ran by children. The adult pool is just full of kids screaming their heads off. The hot tub is supposed to be for anyone above 12 years old but it's just full of kids with hardly any parents around. There's far better hotels to stay at than this one. Next time we're just going to stay at like the Circa or something. Because we definitely didn't feel welcome here.

Yelp
Location is awful. It's a lie on the Marriott app that it's a $35 one way trip from the airport. It is in fact more like $100 American. On top of that I accidentally left my medication there and was told to contact a third party company to find out if it was found. Still have yet to find out. The rooms are also overpriced for what it goes for. The resort was remodelled well over 30 years and it shows. EDIT: THIS HOTEL IS NOT 15 MINUTES FROM THE STRIP. IT WAS AT LEAST A 30 MIN DRIVE ($100 taxi) FROM THE AIRPORT. IF YOU WANT A CLOSER RESORT OR HOTEL, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE

Yelp
Stayed here for leisure and been up all night because 3 guest decides to drink and talk loud all night. Everyone with rooms facing the main court yard has to hear this all night long. At 2:30am called the front desk asked if they can advise the people to tone it down just a bit. No luck. 5am now we have music playing in addition to the loud talking they keep calling someone's name. We don't even know if they are actual guest of the hotel. Called the desk which took 15 minutes to get through. The desk person said I told them already and ask me again what's the location. Same location I told you before and no luck. She hung up on us stated she is the only person working nites. Police was called so if we go down stairs with a boom box and drink all night we are definitely getting called on. Called the police station and they stated it was the first they had heard. Officer green told us to call the corporate office which we will. The receptionist knew that Henderson police station is closed. Security arrives at 6:15 am to tell them to leave which should have happened before I told her I had video, posting to Yelp, and calling the police myself. Such a waste of a night. Have a good time but be respectful of others in the hotel. I even told her tell them to go to the lobby. The guest wouldn't here the noise. Very bad attitude and not customer service driven with the night front desk person. Also, if you have an emergency in this hotel you are out of luck no one is answering the phone. Call 911 from your mobile for assistance.

Yelp
Great view.... Staff could care less to be there. Facilities are old and falling apart. Questionable fire alarm. It has gone of 3/5 times I've stayed here. Hot tub left me slimy. Hallways have the smell of rotten eggs. Chorizo breakfast burrito is definitely gonna fall apart and ooze grease if you order it. Valets are the coolest guys on the property shout out to them. You want a relatively cheap place to stay in Vegas this is the place. You get what you pay for I suppose.

Yelp
My family and I stayed here for a dance convention for 4 days & 3 nights. The lobby is big with lounging areas and a nice view of the lake. My daughter and I arrived late night due to our flight being delayed and the lady who checked us in was really pleasant and made check in easy. THE ROOM: 1 bedroom King suite w/ sofa bed Pros: The room had a lot of space, equipped with 1.5 bathrooms, a mini bar, with a mini fridge. The room had a patio that overlooked the lake. Cons: The room was dated, did not have a dresser for clothes and only had 8 hangers in the closet. The comforter on the bed had a stain, there were no locks on the bathroom doors or the bedroom door and one of the bathroom door knobs had gum on it. One of the light switches was broken. Also, one of the strings to open the curtain was broken. The patio door and furniture had bird droppings all over them. Our patio was also not a private patio, anyone can access the patio. There were many people who walked by and looked into our room, that was very uncomfortable. THE RESORT: I didn't get to really walk around because I was so busy with my daughter's dance convention but my family got to go to the pool and the beach part where you can rent paddle boards & kayaks. They said the beach was not regular sand, it was like rocky dirt and was not comfortable to walk on barefoot. The beach furniture also had a whole bunch of bird droppings all over them as well. This place can be great, it just needs some love.

Yelp
The resort looks great online, but was a major let down. We booked the nicer lake view room and received a pool view room instead. Beds were nice and firm. Pillows were soft. Room was clean, but the bathrooms were a mess. Showers were tiny and there was no barrier so water wouldn't drain right so whole bathroom floor got wet every time we showered. I don't know what was going on, but the 8th floor and lobby had a terrible sewage smell by the elevator throughout our entire stay. Staff was nice, and the property is beautiful, but it really doesn't seem like they know what they're doing. We visited family in Henderson and wanted something nice, but we should have just booked a room in Vegas and dealt with the drive. Really disappointing.

Yelp
Wish I could give this resort 5 stars, but the place is outdated. We got a room facing the lake which was the highlight of our stay. Beautiful place which I feel can improve. We went when it was windy so was kind of hard to enjoy the pool. Everything was collapsing and blowing everywhere. Not the hotel fault, but wish we could experience the pool longer. They had inflatable water playground which was really cool. Staff were friendly upon check in. The bar there is great with nice staff. I would go back for another stay.

Yelp
We came for a Mother Daughter Weekend and when we initially drove into the parking lot we immediately thought it was Beautiful! The view of the lake phenomenal. Although, we checked into our room and we're there we're ANTS!!! They were all over our "desk, Entry way counter (where the coffee machine is). All over our bags! We IMMEDIATELY called Concierge and they (MOD) had to first come and inspect the room to approve us to switch rooms. . Then we we're placed on-the same floor as the previous room. If you have the ability to view this property it's a great sight. But to stay again... it would take some strong convincing. For the inconvenience the manager on duty provided us with a free Breakfast ( yucky!!) We are currently looking into changing hotels all together. **Updates to come after meeting with the manager tomorrow morning. **

Yelp
Is the Westin not a good hotel anymore? The property itself looks like it hasn't been updated in years. We checked in. Since we have a dog we like to take the stairs. He doesn't like the elevator much. On our way down the stairs, we get to the 4th floor before exiting the staircase... it looks like it's used for storage AND the door had wood across it so you can't open it! A serious fire hazard. Then our dog threw up- we needed another blanket, they gave us a little one. The next day we asked for maid service - they said they would be in no need to let them know as they would come in. We left early and came back in the afternoon- no one went in.

Yelp
Great place to stay if you like peace and tranquility. Tucked in Lake Las Vegas away from traffic and noise.

Yelp
Thank goodness for Free Marriott Award Certificates because I would not have paid to have stayed here if I had known how inconvenient it is to stay away from The Strip. I initially debated between Westin Lake Las Vegas or the J.W Marriott Resort nearby; ultimately chose this location. When I searched online at the properties photos, everything seemed so serene and beautiful at this location. Once we arrived, it was serene for sure but definitely not beautiful. The area leading up to the resort is still being developed and everything is at least 20 minutes away. The lake didn't look nice at all despite it being a man-made lake to please the wealthy folks in the area. Due to the lake, you should be aware that there will be bugs flying around so unless you don't care about bug bites, keep your time outdoors limited. The staff here are either too relaxed or don't care that much. One evening, the fire alarm went off and announced that every guest should evacuate the buildings. Since we were already on our way out to dinner, we didn't hear a single employee tell anyone to follow the directions and evacuate. Employees themselves didn't even bother with the alarm and continued with their business. So yeah, don't trust the employees to evacuate you in case of an emergency because they won't take it serious.
