First off, this place is a wee bit expensive @ $225-$275 a night(if it's not a holiday, +$200-300 during holiday) it makes it a luxury I really cannot afford.
Luckily though, they have the capability to do parties and events which is what allowed me to step foot in this beautiful hotel. I didn't get to stay in a room though I did go into one and was able to see the decadence. The rooms are spacious and very modern chic. With, of course, modern devices in the room to make your stay more convenient.
The staff I interacted with were very friendly and accommodating with my questions to which I had a lot. I always like to learn about a place when I visit it for the first time. I've had mixed type of responses with my questions sometimes they get snippy because I'm wasting their time and other times they are very supportive and love to tell me about the business.
Now, before I go on, I have read some of the reviews complaining about "rudeness" or what they perceived as "rudeness". If you come in and complain about it being "at capacity" because you didn't have the foresight to check before arriving if rooms were available. Don't get upset when the clerk tells you there are no rooms available, that isn't the clerk being rude, that is you not thinking ahead of time. Don't blame a poor hotel clerk for doing their job where you did not do yours.
I attended a Corporate Christmas party in 2018 complete with a dance floor, door prizes, and poker all night long. They kept the food freshly stocked and it also tasted good. The only negative I would say was they gave us these tiny appetizer plates that were not big enough for what they were serving. So what we did was each grabbed two plates and hit a different serving table until we had several plates each of everything. I suppose the thought was to use a different plate at each station, but I'm more conservative than that so in my mind just give us one plate and we load up.
As far as the food goes, there was kebabs, dressed mashed potatoes, salad, prime rib, and a chocolatey mousse for dessert. Now that I think about it the prime rib did have a larger plate, still small, but bigger than the other. However, prime rib, for fancy folk is served practically raw and I don't do raw. I also didn't want any of my other food contaminated by the raw, bloody, meat. Which is why we did it the way we did. I have pictures of all of the lovely food service and the ballroom we ate and danced in.
**The Dressed Mashed Potatoes were the star of the show, they served them in a martini glass, it was so CUTE!
The theme was gambling and they had plenty of Texas Hold'em, Roulette, and craps tables set up. I got stuck with a very depressed dealer though who kept giving my wins to other people. There was on instance where I had a full house, I went all in and it was a big pot, the smug guy across from me only had a 3 of a kind and the dealer slid my pot over to this guy who laughed and left to go cash in and get in on the raffle for the 50" TV and trip to places I've never heard of. As I was walking away other tables were laughing and having a great time with their dealer. I got super jipped at my depressing table and I didn't win any door prizes that night either.
Sadly I did not make it to the rooftop, which I hear is spectacular. The views must be amazing up there. I imagine you can see all of downtown Nashville up there. But alas, we were too caught up in the action on the main floor to make it up there.
Last but not least, they had free valet parking on this night, which blows my mind, I feel like a princess and they're bringing me my chariot.
I have pics attached of this amazing hotel.
