The Westin Pazhou Hotel

The last time I was here was almost 10 years ago. The room looks dated but still luxurious, clean and very spacious. I love the huge open bathroom, with a good space for luggage, open wardrobe, separate bathtub, standing shower and toilet. Got a lovely room on 23rd floor that gave a lovely view of the city skyline and for the first time a room number that coincides with my birthday. Bed and pillow are a little soft for my liking but comfortable nonetheless. Shower pressure is good. The room doors are oddly heavy and particularly loud where one can hear the neighbouring rooms when it shuts. The swimming pool on 4th floor is an indoor one that's temperature controlled. Swim caps are a must. Level 3 of the hotel connects directly to Area C of the exhibition centre. But otherwise not much for tourists that's within short walking distance of the hotel. The nearest metro station is a good 8 mins walk away. But overall a luxurious stay and excellent service from front desk to housekeeping to the bell desk. Will still be my choice hotel when attending events at the exhibition centre nearby.

Although I did not stay overnight at The Westin Pazhou, I had the chance to attend events there during my recent trip. Both The Westin and the nearby Courtyard by Marriott are part of the Marriott Bonvoy group, which adds to the sense of consistency and quality in the area. Our company hosted a cocktail party at the 3rd floor grand ballroom, and the setup was excellent. The ballroom was elegant, spacious, and well-prepared for the occasion. Service staff were attentive, and everything from the lighting to the food presentation was handled with professionalism. The following day, we had a full-day workshop in one of the conference rooms on the same level. The space was well-equipped for business functions, with comfortable seating, good sound systems, and smooth technical support. Catering during breaks was also of good quality and kept participants energized throughout the sessions. Based on my experience, The Westin Pazhou delivers a strong standard for meetings and events. If their guest accommodations match the quality of their function spaces and service, I would not hesitate to consider staying here in the future.

I just spent 2 nights theres on business (at the convention center) and extended one to visit Guanzhou. Impeccabe hotel ! great amenities ( fitness) . Friendly and efficient service ... Food is plentiful and good both Chinese and Western. Walking distance to the Guanzhou metro . I will choose again shall the opportunity arise

Amazing hotel near Canton fair just 4 mins or less. Very clean good poolnand sauna. Breakfast has very good variations and good fruits and coffee.

We have faced with surprisingly negative experience, when today morning we asked a waiter on the 1st floor to call for a taxi to an airport. The waiter (with glasses) said, the payment will be counted by meters. We had no options but to agree. Then he called a taxi (number ACT7800) and then we got there. According to google the way takes 42-45 min. We have driven 1,5 hours. The meters counted 205 yuans, but a driver started meaningly demanded 80 yuans more for high-speed road. We could not argue with him, so we paid. And 285 yuans for 1,5 hours to an airport - this is NOT a hotel expertise we would like to rely on!

Good value for money, very large and comfortable rooms, luxury hotel. The personnel doesn't speak English. The position is good for the fair area.

One of the best hotel experiences ever. I have stayed here for Canton Fair several times in the past few years. The location is super convenient, as you can just walk out the back door and directly into hall 16. Being able to take a break amid the chaos of the fair and relax is priceless.||Beyond the perfect location, the hotel itself is spectacular. Everything looks brand new and polished. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are luxurious and welcoming. The fitness center is well maintained and has everything you need. The lobby even has a refreshing smell. ||On top of everything, the staff is top notch. From check-in to the club lounge staff, the service is impeccable. I will be back again and again.

Everything about the hotel is great, however the service is what saves its flaws. The hotel can improve with updated tech for the phone charger, energy output of refrigerator, and charging capability of USB ports (amenities/facilities). The reception is aware of this, and helped accommodate need. The staff has strong bilingual skills for those more novice with translation devices. Much appreciated. I would say the check-in/check-out staff as well as concierge and restaurant staff carry the needs more so than other hotels. However, the hotel need not have prices so high compared to nearby hotels considering location amenities limited in the Expo/Poly area. I feel the Marriot Bonvoy umbrella can ensure Westin implements better rates. I give a 5 on the location as it relates to the reason of my visit for a conference. I did not leave the island with the exception of Canton Tower buffet, as there is enough to do for a short weekend (beer park, metro museum, ancient port). The room service menu choice was perfection, and way better food options than the revolving restaurant at Canton Tower (compare price).
