Great selection of milk tea , fruit teas and other drinks. There are savoury and sweet pastries also that are fresh and delicious. Nice vibe and friendly staff.

A cute little bubble tea and bakery spot. I had the milk tea and it was really good. The place is nicely decorated and has a cozy vibe. Would visit again

Deliveroo order. Feb 2025. Taro milk tea with boba. 50% sweet, less ice. Add egg pudding. A few issues for me here. First, I didn’t realize the taro milk tea had fresh taro which ends up making the boba gritty and starchy. Not a texture I want in my boba. Second, the egg pudding is not good. It doesn’t have the perfectly slippery, sweet, melt in your mouth flavor or texture that good egg pudding is supposed to have, it was almost grainy, so that was a waste. Third, I prefer light/less boba and there is no way to select that on the app. However, one thing whale tea does right is the boba. It’s perfectly chewy and fresh. Fourth, I was a bit disappointed in the taro flavor. Maybe bc they use natural taro the flavor is less pronounced? Or bc I got 50% sweet? I’m not sure. It was also over £11 with fees. Sadly I will not be ordering taro milk tea from here again.

Fantastic Oriental Bakery and tea shop. Such reasonable prices for such huge portions. Have tried many items and all absolutely delicious. My favourite is the honey toast so far! Available for delivery too. Long opening hours. Just fantastic and what we were missing from the area.

The waitress is very rude. The tea is way too sweat. I asked no sugar. She also asked us to speak English to her only. But her English is too bad to understand

Great spot for some refreshments when in Bayswater. We had the sour dark plum jelly drink which was lovely and also the milk tea boba which was nice. You can order from the screens or at the till if not too busy.

I recently tried the spring onion chicken roll at The Whale Tea, and it was incredibly delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the chicken was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Plus, knowing that it's 100% Halal adds to the satisfaction. While I've always been a fan of their milk bubble teas, this new launch of savouries and pastries has definitely won me over. I can't wait to go back and try more of their pastries soon!

I came all the way to specifically try the brown sugar bubble tea, but they ran out of tapioca balls and said they weren't able to make more as the shop will close in an hour. I had the milk tea with blue jelly and the volcanic one. I didn't really enjoy it. The jelly has a horrible texture and I threw half my drink away. I wouldn't get it again. It's a shame they couldn't make more tapioca as it doesn't take long to make - I would have waited.
