The Wharf – Great Location, But Missing Character
The Wharf in Fort Lauderdale is in a prime location—right on the river with beautiful views of the Intracoastal. On paper, it has all the elements to be something magical. But in reality, it feels like your typical American bar, and unfortunately, it lacks character.
The space is huge—almost too big for its own good. Even on busy days, it somehow feels empty and a bit impersonal. The drinks are just okay, and the food trucks, while convenient, don’t offer anything particularly memorable.
That said, the view alone makes it worth a visit, especially for out-of-towners. I live in the area and just go for a stop
And go drink. It’s a fun stop for a casual drink, but don’t expect anything intimate or unique.
