Google
Friendly Spot with Flexible Whisky Pours The Whisky Bar was a nice stop—the bartender was super cool, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Prices were generally average, although a few of the pours leaned on the higher side. The real highlight here was their flexibility in offering smaller pours (0.5 oz and 0.25 oz), allowing whisky enthusiasts to taste interesting and niche bottles at just a fraction of the full-pour price, around 1/3 to 1/6 the cost. Their whisky selection was good, featuring some lesser-known and intriguing options that made exploring their menu enjoyable. The relaxed atmosphere and approachable staff added positively to the experience, making it a comfortable place to casually sample whiskies. If you're in the neighborhood, it's definitely a worthwhile spot to drop by and enjoy a dram or two without needing to commit to full pours.

Assistant manager at bar courtesy and enjoyed the recommendations and whiskey poured. Clean place, pleasant atmosphere. Bar area and tables clean well stocked place bathrooms back around the bar.

Google
They have a great selection for whiskeys amazing staff we had the soft pretzel and the coconut, shrimp prawns very good I had several taste of different whiskeys. They have a great whiskey selection. If you're looking for some good whiskeys, this would be your place.

Google
had some drinks and a bite after a day at pikes place. bartender was great and so was the food.

Google
Excellent doesn’t cut it - the selection is ridiculous, the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly, and the vibes we immaculate.

Google
Highly recommended. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Lauren & Jon are two of the best bartenders I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. They’re both attentive, knowledgeable about their staggering selection of whiskey, and have a keen palate for the quality of their skillfully mixed cocktails. We were just in town for a couple days and popped in for a nightcap on our way back to the hotel. Needless to say, “a nightcap” turned into two hour of scintillating conversation over flights of bourbon, cocktails and craft beer.

Google
Stopped here for a quick drink with some friends. They have a really nice whiskey collection with some nice cocktail selections as well. We took an old fashion with rye whiskey, Manhattan, whiskey sour and an amrutt scotch. I also took the cheese cake which was good. It was not very busy when we went but then again it was a Sunday afternoon. Overall a nice place and definitely worth checking out.

Google
Nice bar with great ambiance, the price is reasonable. The fish n’chips is pretty good here, crispy with great portion. The Old fashioned has a strong fragrance of citrus. Personally I think it is great but might not be ideal for heavy drinkers. The Smokey and the Bandit is a little sweet for me, but the scotch fragrance is pretty strong and blended pretty well. Overall, a recommended bar at downtown Seattle!

Yelp
Couple different whiskey flights Big selection, great vibe Plenty of seating Open air bar, good food Service is quick

Yelp
Very okay bar. Extensive whiskey selection, but kind of slow (in business and in service) even for a Friday night. Not a bad experience, but not necessarily in any hurry to return. My boyfriend's a big whiskey fan, which is why we popped in after dinner, but I'm not so I just got a glass of white wine and it was REALLY bad. Good thing this place isn't known for their wine!

Yelp
Never a bad time here! Their current take on an old fashioned is one of the best I've ever had. Brown butter washed, brown sugar syrup. Excellent as always.

Yelp
I made it in on an evening where it was pretty light, so there was only one other party sitting at the bar with us. Cocktails were really nice and balanced and their selection of whiskey is awesome. It's not super obvious, but there is a kitchen and you can order food! We didn't find the food menu until later when we were just navigating around the website.

Yelp
Tip: I recommend not opting for the Local Flight. I'm not a whiskey drinker, but the whiskey fans at my table found the Local Flight too strong. Not worth $30. Wish I had just ordered a whiskey-based cocktail or the Classic Flight which had better flight options. Ambiance and vibes are good for a chill get-together with friends with an air of some sophistication. No wait / line. Service was mediocre; our waiter was nice and came to our tables often. I wish they had refilled our water cups though. Would've been nice to have gotten more whiskey expertise / recommendations too. Actually, now that I think about it, for a whiskey-branded bar, I think it would have been a much better experience if the waiter had asked what sort of whiskeys/drinks I was into. I'm a beginner whiskey/scotch/bourbon drinker, so receiving tips and recommendations on what whiskey to order would have made more sense.

Yelp
Honestly I'd be hard pressed to even give it a one star review. We walked in and my buddy asks through me for just a water instead of a drink and we get turned down entirely for being a liability. Even after asking for just the water for my friend we were turned down service. Now that's fine everyone reserves the right to refuse service I'm just saying they were wrong. Wasn't the owner it was just the bartender.

Yelp
From the outside the place doesn't appear very welcoming but once you get inside the staff is excellent. I got the Brussels Sprouts and let me tell you they were delicious! They had a nice smokey flavor with sweetness from the honey they cook them in. The burger had lots of flavor and the fries were crispy as well. They give you water in a nice and I'm guessing recycled whiskey bottle.

Yelp
I only go there on Mondays when Aubrey works Otherwise the other bartender is horrible horrible personality rude gave me a dirty glass

Jim M.

Yelp
Went here for a NYE event and the bartenders were dicks. They were very slow, condescending, short, and generally unpleasant. I asked one bartender for water or if they had a water station and he said "I'll get you water" and then went on to making other people's drinks. I didn't jump in while he was doing something - it was my turn to order. He said he'd get me water, and then chose to not do it. I literally had to go to the other bar to get water. Even when I was ordering food, the bartender was a dick about it. Based on this visit, I don't plan on going back.

Yelp
a surprisingly wonderful place!! i didn't have any particular misconceptions or negative expectations, but i also didn't have extremely high hopes for a whisky bar's food, and we were in the area searching mainly for snacks. in fact, we didn't even think this place served food, but happily, they do and they do it well! food: 8/10. far better than average bar food, but obviously not gourmet (designed for whisky aficionados, not foodies). we tried the chicken strips, mango habanero wet wings, brown sugar bourbon dry wings, a whisky burger, and the cheese curds. zero complaints about anything from anybody--it was all very tasty, filling, and appetizing. like i said, very pleasantly surprising in the best way. cocktails/drinks: 9/10. granted, we didn't try any of the extensive whisky list--unfortunate in that regard that we stumbled upon this spot, as i do enjoy a good whisky but i was driving for the evening. my companions tried two cocktails and a sour cider. they certainly didn't skimp on the alcohol or the flavor, according to them, and the sour was true to flavor as well. we definitely want to come back when we've planned a night out. atmosphere: 10/10. dim in an inviting way, cozy, warm, intimate! it was really a lovely spot for drinks and snacks with good friends. we got a booth and were quite comfortable whiling away some time together. service: 7/10. not terrible, but not great. right after we sat down, the bar was slammed with a random influx of customers. totally not their fault at all, but we were kind of left to our own devices until those folks left even though we'd gotten there first. the bartenders were all very friendly, apologetic about the wait, and as attentive as they could be when the bar got busy. i'm only detracting some points here because it could've been managed a bit better, but since i do have a background in the service industry i'd give everyone some grace. service did not detract whatsoever from a five-star experience and we'd happily come back and chat with the bartenders. overall, we plan to return to this excellent place!

Yelp
A place for the whiskey aficionados among us! Wall to wall of whiskey of all ages, from around the world. A little intimidating for folks who are new to whisky or unfamiliar with the whisky experience. Arrived around 7pm on a Friday and the place was buzzing. It has that damp divey historic bar kinda smell which isn't super enticing but you kinda get used to it. Groups and singles and pairs dotted the interior space. Menus are QR codes and it didn't seem like food was served. I opted for a flight because the menu was overwhelming. Bartenders were hustling and chatting amongst themselves so I didn't get the vibe there was a lot of guidance to be had. This is a place for folks who love whisky, know what they want, and know what to ask for. Not great for dates or intimate conversations! 3 stars for the prices being pretty reasonable and for the flight where I learned some preferences. Beer is also served and I believe I saw wine too. Oh and if you're a Billions fan, they have the Michter's you're likely after.

Yelp
The service was great. The bartender had a great personality and was really patient and helpful. I'm not a big beer guy but have been really into stouts and the oatmeal stout at 4.6 hit the spot with the wings I had ordered. The wings were wet, well sauced. Seems like the chef loves what he's doing and is proud of his work. Ranch and blue cheese were both fresh and good. I would definitely go again. I went at 9pm on a Monday night too in case some of y'all of too scared me to come out to the Seattle Belltown area. No issue with no homeless as I minded my business. Ambience was chill, layout of the place was nice and spacious with chill music playing in the background. Would definitely go again just because of the service.

Yelp
Great selection. Fish and chips one of the best I have had. Close to the hotels. Sketchy area. Ok service, 3 staff behind bar and had to ask for water...

Yelp
I went to Whisky Bar on a Friday night and it had an upscale and relaxed atmosphere. Not too noisy and great for a more chill evening To drink they have a few cocktail options, 10+ beers, some wine and lots of whisky obviously, including whisky flights. If you're not a fan of whisky you can still find something you'll enjoy For food the chicken tenders and French fries were very good. They were clearly not just frozen tenders thrown in the fryer My only complaint is related to the service, they served us quickly but then after we finished eating it took a long time for our waiter to ask if we wanted anything else or the check

Yelp
Great place in Belltown with good drinks and food. Stopped in here while on a walk to check it out and glad I did. The staff of friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. They are opened for sit down and it's nice to finally be out and about in the city again. If in the area, stop on by for a drink or so and a bite to eat! The bramble is one of my favorite drinks.

Yelp
Their Dublin on Fire cocktail is gold.... One of the best whiskey cocktails I've had. Jim and Jorge were awesome bartenders and super friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite pub in Seattle. No hot chicks or bros. Just a smart crowd in T-shirts drinking beer from a large array of local taps, drinking whiskies from all over the world, drinking great possibly overlooked cocktails and eating the best burger, fries, fish&chips around. The music is something to check out as well. Great indie shit from the 80s, 70s. The bartenders are experts at what they do. They can help you with whiskeys. Ask about half pours if you want to try something expensive for half the price. I'm not joking about the burgers. Big. Big flavor. Artisanal. Ask about doneness. They don't ask and cook them medium well. You can usually request whatever doneness you like.

Yelp
We didn't plan on coming here but we sure are glad we found it! This place was has nice soft lighting, a very relaxed feel, and wasn't too busy for a covid season Friday evening. I liked our bartender who was busy but still kindly gave us his recommendations. I'm actually not really a whiskey drinker so I asked for a lemon drop and I was pleasantly surprised when it came out in a cute sugar dipped cup with a lemon swirl! On a side note there was also a sweet old lady who popped in and sold us some flowers, she was cash only, but the bartenders were nice enough to give her cash and just add it to our tab! I'm not sure if she frequents this place or not but it was a fun little added bonus to the night

Yelp
The Classic flight - $40 Michters bourbon  (America)- this is more my style with the sweeter vanilla notes, significant burn though Hyde  No.6  Presidents cask (Ireland) - I really like this one, this is probably my favorite of these 4 Kura  (Japan) - not a fan, the peat is mild but it's not my preference regardless Caol Ila 12yr   (Scotland) - too smoky for my tastes It was an ok experience. The music wasn't too my taste (example- oh my darling don't cry by run the jewels) and the service was very slow. It was honestly a bit of a let down after the amazing time we had yesterday at bathtub gin & co. I'd recommend heading there instead. (Completely different vibes)

Yelp
In town and we tried a lot of different bars and eateries and this place was hands down the best service, best drinks and amazing eats! Joshua went above and beyond! I'd give them ten stars if I could.

Yelp
A fun place to stop by and try some cocktails and whiskey. My fiancé and I got to try the whisky flight which was fun. We got to try whiskey from all over the world which was a fun experience. Also, the service was great and everyone was chill and fun.

Yelp
Will the bartender was great. Pretty "entertaining" to say the least. Cocktails were awesome. I recommend trying something from there cocktail menu. I ordered the patty melt. Wasn't impressed at all. But that's what I get for ordering food in a bar. I will return though.
google avatar

Yelp
A great place to hang out and have a drink. The ambiance is pleasant and comfortable. I prefer it on a quiet Sunday or Monday night when it's quiet - apparently Friday and Saturdays is packed and loud but a quiet Sunday, rainy and cold outside - warm and friendly inside. The serve a lot more than whiskey, including Belgian beers - but their whiskey selection is impressive even for someone who can't stand the stuff. Sitting at the bar with the full view of their selection in front of you is highly recommended!

Yelp
I don't usually post as I enjoy lurking Yelp but felt the need to warn others of my experience. I went to the whiskey bar on a Thursday evening with a coworker of mine and we had to find seating ourselves. I would estimate the bar was 75% full. Thankfully, the restaurant had a QR code so we could look up the menu ourselves but oddly, there were no prices on any of the scotches. Even at this point, none of the servers greeted us or offered to take our orders so we had to go directly to the bartender. I ordered a round of the taliskar and lafraugh for the each of us which we enjoyed. My coworker offered to purchase the next round and requested whichever Japanese scotch was available. The bartender simply told us that they only had 21 year old aged hibiki. Not knowing what we were getting ourselves into, my coworker ordered us each a shot. Little did I know that each shot was a WHOPPING $250!!! I was shocked by my coworkers bill and offered to split but he insisted on paying. Nevertheless, it was one of the most embarrassing moments I ever had which could have been easily avoided if the bartender clarified the price of each drink before we ordered it! We went from the $15-20 shot range and spiked up to $250, with the bartender not notifying us of the price change. If we had known how much each shot, we would never have ordered something like this. I will never come back here again

Yelp
Every item had something wrong with it. From kraut added to the Reuben after I mentioned I was allergic. To extra sauces forgotten that were paid for. The food was cold, and it seems like if it would have been right and warm it would have been pretty good. Definitely not ordering from again.

Yelp
We decided to come over here for our first night in Seattle. This place has more whiskey than any place I have been to. The size of the bar and amount of whiskeys were staggering. My buddy is a whiskey guy and got a world flight. Places like India and Australia were featured. He loved it. They also had a fairly good selection of beer. I got a local Kolsch, well let's just say it was more than one. We had the cheese curds to start. They were good, served with a marinara sauce. It was a good start. All of us ended up getting the fish and chips. The fish was great, the fries were nice and crispy (naturally not coated). The place was great, we had a lot fun. Good place to meet up and enjoy.

Highly recommend. We enjoy this place. Parking was a little packed but is not a deal breaker.

Yelp
My bf and I came in around 8pm for a table for 2 on a Friday night. The music was pumping, the streets were quite busy and a lot of the local restaurants around the area also had a large crowd. It was a "seat yourself" situation and we were lucky enough to get the only leftover booth seating for the two of us. Their tables were a bit narrower than I was expecting, but nice high seats. The décor was cute and I liked how it was busy enough that you knew it was a good place, but not SO BUSY that it's impossible to get in. Loving the atmosphere already! Waiter/Bartender came over and handed us food/drink menus. I ordered a cocktail on the back and they said they didn't have the ingredients for it tonight, but they could make something else so I ordered a long island iced tea. My bf got an IPA and their beer list is extensive! I also love that they put it up on a long blackboard. For food, we got the corndogs, hummus and tapenade, and the salt/pepper wings. Drinks arrived fast and the food arrived within 30 mins too. My drink was strong (as is all long island iced tea) and the food was... average. I would say that the best thing was the corndogs (which everyone else recommends) but they were a bit burnt for my liking. Everything else was average and nothing shockingly great about the food. Where this place shines is very clearly the drinks and variety of beers. We also ordered a flight of whiskey to share between the two of us after our first drinks. I loved the international flight (got a bit from Taiwan, Japan and Ireland) and it definitely offered drinks I wouldn't normally get. Overall, we left paying about $110 before taxes and tip. A bit high for an average night out but we did get the $55 international whiskey flight and we also enjoyed the environment a lot. Loved the place; will definitely come back! My only knock for the 1 star is the lackluster food, but maybe I'll try something else next time.

Yelp
It might not be the cheapest or rarest whisky around, but where they are heads above the competition is dedication. Everyone at this bar LOVES whisky and just wants to help you love it too or help you along in your journey. It feels like a proper whisky bar but not dirty, lively and divey without being off-putting or scummy. These are just real people who really love whisky and want to enjoy the craft. They know us whisky lovers drag our non-whisky friends here so they provide a great tap list of beers and cocktails as you try and convince everyone in your life that whisky is actually a miracle elixir for everyone (okay maybe not everyone, but we'll convert as many as we can). The place usually sits around 400-600 whiskies at a time and offer flights of anything, so this really is a great place to explore and learn. Highly recommend coming on a quiet night like Monday/Tuesday and really absorbing everything you can from the bartenders. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Ran into the whiskey bar, bar hopping with my wife on our anniversary, the variety of whiskey and food was amazing, there wasn't one waiter who passed our table without asking if we have been attended yet. Best bar me and my wife have been to by far; 10/10 recomended.

Yelp
Love the spot in Belltown! The staff is extremely accommodating and the drinks are well-made!! We came in for the first time on New Year's Eve for a pre-funk and the place was very festive with lots of holiday decorations!! Bartender made excellent old-fashions. Their prices were good too! I know we will be back soon!!

Yelp
Great beer selection but don't sleep on the Whiskey program!! Perfect place for happy hour, drinks with friends or family. Here on a Tuesday 4p dope 80's tunes and great drinks
google avatar

Yelp
A great evening out with friends, good conversations, and delicious grub! It was a crowded night, but we made it in before happy hour ended and snagged a table for the four of us. The cocktails and beers tasted great and the pub grub was tasty! The table shared a plate of poutine and I enjoyed the southwest chicken salad. We all had a blast being together; will return again...

Yelp
Whiskey themed bar inside the Regency and attached to Daniel's Broiler. Beverage program management is excellent with some very nice selections but not everything is listed on the menu since it reopened post COVID so if you need help choosing a scotch or a bourbon just inquire with the staff and they will help you find one to your tastes.

Yelp
Holy Crud ! After such great recommendations by our server we will definitely return. We had an autumn sweater and earl old fashioned . such great quality and deep flavorful drinks honestly the best . The wings were great as well with the tater tots . I will forever remember this place in Seattle . Maximum respect to all who created and continue with great food and service
google avatar

Yelp
Ducked in here for a quick drink before dinner and was happy with our last minute choice. The bartender was friendly and accommodating. Our drinks ended up being $8 each which was a great deal. I don't remember the last time I was able to get a Manhattan for $8.

Yelp
Jeff is gone. He bought his own bar in Fremont called the Barrel Thief. He was a professional, engaging, and concerned barkeep, and the best thing about the Whiskey Bar. I walked in and sat at the mostly empty bar on a Friday evening about 6:00 PM. Three bartenders were enjoying themselves, yacking it up, trying to look cool. I literally had to wave my hand to get their attention. One dude, guess he could be labeled a bartender, took my martini order absently. He didn't know what vodkas were local, nor did he care. He was more interested in the table of women he was eyeing behind the bar. He poured me a lousy martini, and I had to remind him to take my credit card in order to run a tab. He mixed me another weak vodka and soda, I tried to engage the bartenders in conversation, but they were to taken with themselves. I live a block away, but the Whiskey Bar isn't for locals. They don't care about the patrons. It isn't about you. It's all about them. I will cross the street and have a cocktail at Provisions. Or, I'll take an Uber to Fremont and let Jeff pour me a drink at the Barrel Thief.

Yelp
My husband and I visited here twice on a trip to Seattle last month. WOW! Each time we had a great bartender, eager to please. Both had great knowledge of the local beers and the whisky selection. On the first visit, we "toured" through all the beers and the bartender was happy to come around the bar and serve us at the table during the day. On the second visit, we "toured" some whiskies, and the bartender gave us SO MUCH information on the areas the whiskies came from, the flavors, backstories, etc. He helped us choose some really good ones to try, and gave us some food for thought to consider the next time we're at a whisky bar and want to try something new. We enjoyed the food, too! I wish more bars had friendly staff like this place. If we ever make it back to Seattle - we're DEFINITELY coming back to Whisky Bar.

Yelp
Happy hour martinis. Got the job done. Very friendly bartenders and plenty of ice water.

Yelp
We stopped in here last night for what else, Whisky and Whiskey. Fair to say the server had little knowledge of the selection to start off with. Despite the place being almost empty, it took a long time for the server to pour and deliver our first flight of drinks. I have no idea what took so long. We could see him fidgeting with the bottles and again, the place was not busy. We finally got our drinks and now a few more folks walked in. Thinking about our second round, we decided to go someplace else. We knew with the couple more people that just came in we would be probably hours before we got our next order. To top it off once we got our checks, we had to track down our server just to pay and he was a little rude about us coming up to the bar and not waiting for him to come to us. There was a table that left just before we did. They stopped by our table to ask how our service was. Seems we all had the same experience here. Not a good way to get customers to want to return.
google avatar

Erika W.

Yelp
Great service. When you walk in and see the huge wall of whisky it can feel intimidating but the bartenders were friendly and very approachable. They answered my questions and treated me with respect. Very enjoyable experience and my drink was delicious.
google avatar

Jeanette R.

Yelp
Pretty disappointing- I've been here a few times and had a good time with decent service and drinks. Nothing over the top, but, reasonable. Something feels different here and I don't know what it is. When the menu includes $18 drinks that are good, but, come with pretty terrible service and bartenders that ignore you and/or act flippant, it makes for a night where we close the bill at one drink and move on. There's plenty of places that make excellent drinks and have happy people serving them in Belltown for waaaaaay less than this joint. It's funny, because we've gone to five star establishments in Seattle where the craft cocktails come with beautiful clear ice cubes and top shelf ingredients for under $15 a drink. This place likes to feel like a dive bar, but, it really feels like a tourist trap amid a bunch of grumpy employees on a street with tons more options. Keep walking - you'll find Bathtub Gin, much better choice!
google avatar

Nicole Y.

Yelp
While exploring Belltown, we stumbled upon this gem. This bar offers a vast selection of liquor and beers, as well as a food menu. So many whiskey and bourbons and so little time ! I decided to order an old fashioned while my mister ordered a local whisky on the rocks. Both drinks were great ! We weren't too hungry hence no food to review. The options on the dinner menu did look tasty though! Prompt service and great whisky selection.. I'm definitely a fan!

G B.

Yelp
Awesome selection and service . Will revisit soon. Prices are in line with others. Keep going

Yelp
The Whisky Bar lives up to its name- don't expect to find other spirits here. It was busy on a Tuesday evening at the start of Phase 3 this week. They have a good number of booths and I was lucky to snag the last one before 7pm. They have more seating at the bar but I don't think I saw anyone using it. The bartender was helpful and non-pretentious in helping to suggest a drink based on a type of whisky (the highball with Japanese whisky was delicious!). A cool place to go if you're a whisky aficionado or just like any whisky! Saving a star since we didn't try any food.
google avatar

Edward S.

Yelp
I am not a huge whisky drinker, but if you are this is the place to go. They have an incredible selection of whisky, scotch, and bourbon and a very nice bar to drink it at. I asked the bartender for something kind of sweet and smooth. He recommended an excellent scotch. I like that they also provided some water because the drink had a high alcohol content. The glass was perfect for the whisky and I like the fact that it had a single, large ice cube--that perfectly complemented the drink. I would definitely go back the next time I am in a whisky mood.
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to coming here because whiskey is my preferred hard liquor of choice and I wanted to see their large selection of whiskeys from around the world. For some reason when I got here I didn't think to try a flight of different whiskeys. When I got their menu I went straight for their cocktails menu out of habit. I ordered the Black Barrel Rum Old Fashioned and my girlfriend got a Black Widow. Our bartender made my drink already but messed up on the other drink and she took some time to make it right. This caused some of the ice in my drink to melt so it was diluted (it wasn't one giant ice cube but a couple smaller ones). I understand you want to serve both drinks at the same time but I was a bit disappointed in the taste. I ordered the Whisky Smash next and it was a bit too sour for me; the lemon was too overpowering. My girlfriend seemed to like both of her drinks so I'm pretty sure it's just what I ordered. If I ever go back to Seattle again I'll want to come back here and try some of their flights. One thing I observed while sitting at the bar: I overheard some of the workers saying they didn't have milk (not entirely sure if that was it). The person sitting next to me offered to go to the store to buy them some cartons since they were really busy. I don't know if she knew the workers or if she was a local or not. The worker was thankful for her kind gesture and offered her next drink on the house. I thought it was a really cool gesture on both sides.
