I was taken here by my relatives and, having never heard of it, was very pleasantly surprised. It's actually very well known and is definitely worth booking in advance: we just turned up on a weekday lunchtime and the place was nearly fully booked.
The staff are exceptionally polite and friendly, the inside is nice to sit in, but outside is nicer on a sunny afternoon. I had a lemonade which wasn't very Some of the starters can be ordered as main courses, but they're substantially sized as it is. I had the salmon main, which, like most good food, came out looking disappointingly small, but more than filled me up and was absolutely delicious. My auntie ordered the mezze platter of pitta and olives with some exotic dips, which the waitress explained. We had strawberry tart for putting, which I think was aimed at those with more sophisticated tastes than me: the sauce was balsamic vinegarthere's nothing wrong with chocolate or cream if you ask me!
The dishes are quite expensive (£13-£20 for a main), but worth the money. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced, so you can feel ethical as well! Food is served:
Tuesday - Saturday: 12-2:30pm and 7-9:30pm (nibbles available in the bar from 6pm)
Sunday: 12-4pm
