"Mr. White serves Southern food in a space that looks like the ground floor of a mansion in New Orleans. Along with a small bar up front, there’s a dining room with plush seats and a fireplace, and a raw bar in the back. The menu has some Cajun-Creole options like jambalaya and char-grilled oysters, as well some other entrees like smoked duck and beef brisket." - Matt Tervooren

Google
I was on a trip to New Orleans and, like with any trip, I was looking to record stores to visit. I knew about this place from a YouTube video and decided to visit it. Very cool store! It is not big, but the vibe is awesome! I found a couple of good records. In addition, the owner is very nice. It was very nice talking to her and when I asked her which other record stores I should visit before heading back home, she recommended me really good places. Because of her recommendations, I visited Domino Sound Record Shack... another amazing place! So, thanks to the lady at The White Roach, I ended up spending more money on my trip that I originally planned for, and I got back home later than expected. But it was totally worth it! I highly recommend visiting The White Roach, in New Orleans. Such a good experience!

Google
This shop is such a New Orleans gem. They have a great record selection and the owner is always willing to place an order for you if you can't find something that day. I also love that I can ask her questions about artists or for suggestions. It's laidback and not as stuffy as other record stores I've visited. Nice vibe. Def. check it out!

Very cool stop during our walk down Magazine. Love the vibe and really cool vintage clothing, vinyl, and cassettes. Really appreciated the books and jewelry too. Definitely stop in when you can!

Google
They don't sell rolling papers here. They do, however have a stellar selection of Vinyl. Found some gems here, which were in great condition! It may not be as large as Towers Records was, but their eclectic selection of quality records, vintage clothing, and inviting neighbourhood vibe makes up for it. Totally exceeded my expectations! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Google
Great selection of records. Well curated vintage clothing items are also for sale here. As far as price goes, this store does its research so prices are in line with what you can get online or at other knowledgeable record shops. Friendly customer service, as well. Highly recommended.

Google
Found a Miles Davis reissue for a darn good price. Interesting record shop, with a additional section of used clothes (vintage?) and accessories. Owner is very nice. Parking is impossible out here, but this shop has reserved parking for customers on the side of the shop. Worth a look.. also used CDs and local music for sale.

Google
Cool place. Nice owner. Great vinyl selection. Vintage clothes. Relaxing environment and easy to shop. Not all crammed up. I love this place. Uptown by lots of shopping. Park and there are a lot of places to go on foot near this cool store.

Google
Great experience at White Roach! It's not a huge store, but the perfect place to find treasure. The person helping us was very helpful and made the experience even better! Records are reasonably priced.

Yelp
It is safe to say I'm obsessed with The White Roach. The customer service is superior, like beyond. I always hit the owner with my random bizarre request for specific vinyl and she always come through to get it for me. I always trust she will fulfill all my musical needs. Its also such a cute store, she has a great collection of different genres of vinyl for you to look through. Always a wow factor somewhere in the store. Also, on the other side if the store is a vintage clothing and some cool earrings and other items. It's an eclectic store and worth a visit. Mask are of course required as well as only so many individuals in the store at one time. There are a couple stores on the side of the business, but also ample street parking in the area

Yelp
While the name is unappealing, the shop itself is delightful. Like Katie, I was drawn into this shop by the $2 record bin. Surprisingly, there were a lot of good picks here. I'm not a record collector (I have my mom's old records, but alas no player), but I have quite a few friends who are. Along with a nifty selection of $2 records, inside there is a whole box dedicated to New Orleans artists. I found some goodies from Pete Fountain, Allen Toussaint and others. They also have a nice selection of cassette tapes. They carry a few pieces of clothing- there are some vintage concert and band shirts for sale, but the clothing is more of an afterthought to the record collection.

Yelp
Yay! First to review. I stopped in here because of the box of 2$ records out front... Then ventured in because I saw vintage clothing and more records. They have a very small selection of vintage clothing and shoes. I scored some super awesome vintage leather boots. They also have some small trinkets and Jewelry. Theres a great record selection for such a small space-- organized by genre. I found some really sweet prince, Fleetwood Mac, and Leon Russell's in the mix. My minus one star is for the prices, which I think are a bit high. Also, I would love to see more of a selection of clothing! Otherwise, cool atmosphere with records playing and a great addition to Magazine st!

Yelp
Here on Magazine Street at The White Roach Record Store and Vintage Clothing Boutique. As you may know, this is a small business with a big heart! Danielle, the shop owner is the happiest entrepreneur I may have ever met. She's picking albums, playing songs, simply digging her life. So nice to be here and wow, super deep catalog stuff and really fair pricing too. Today's actually "Record Store Day," yes, that's a thing! She has yummy sandwiches, beers and super cool vibes going off. You must come her and feel the love!

Yelp
The owner has curated a great inventory and I've never left without something new and exciting to listen to. She's also helpful and kind as can be! I've especially found some gems in the world, country, and rnb sections. As much as I love spending and entire afternoon crate digging, this is a small shop so there isn't a bunch a junk to sort through. You can tell some care has been put in to what's on the shelf and what isn't. It's one of the best record shops in town. Cute clothes too!

Shannon W.

Yelp
I always leave the shop with a good purchase! The white roach always has a vinyl I'm looking for and if they don't, they'll order it for you! This is definitely my go-to for records!

Yelp
This is a super cute neighborhood shop! The owner has a good eye for cool vintage clothes and has a great selection of excellent vinyl! Great store, great vibe!
