The Wholesome Loaf

I highly recommend the breads that The Wholesome Loaf has to offer. The new demi-baguettes that she has have a nice crispy crust and an inside with the "bubbles" that you want. The challah this week was delicious, and the buttermilk sandwich bread was perfect for grilled cheese. The European-style breads have the wonderful crispy, crunchy outer crust that bakers here usually don't/can't?/won't? replicate. Katie has nailed it!!!

Picked up my first order and everything was amazing! The crusty italian bread was deliciously crusty on the outside and perfect texture on the inside. Also had the cranberry apple bread which was also very good. I love to support local businesses and will definitely be ordering again.

We ordered a whole bunch of pizza dough for a pizza party, as well as some eggs. You could tell the dough was super fresh, and it tasted great. The organic eggs are a fantastic deal, and also very fresh. Very happy with the experience!

My family and I absolutely devour everything we've tried from Wholesome Loaf! The bread, pastries, and granola are all high quality and Kate is delightful. The online checkout process is super simple and local delivery makes it incredibly convenient to get your order.

My first loaf of organic fruit bread is beautifully tasteful. It was gifted to me. And I thank them very much for introducing me to your company. So kind of you, Kate, to infuse your heart into your bread. I can taste it. It’s lovely. Thank you! Update: About a week or so later. Just tasting the Crusty Italian bread. It is perfect. I didn’t want to cut into it because it was so artistic. But, but I did and it is beautiful. The crust is just right not too hard that I can’t bite into it (I wear dentures). It’s perfect. As for the Blueberry Morning Glory scone? PERFECT!

One quick look at the menu and I was thinking about bread in a way that I never have before. I figured I had to give the local shop a shot, and I could not be happier that I did. The aged cheddar and apple focaccia was unlike anything I've ever eaten, and the granola feels like the most wholesome and healthy thing I may have ever consumed. I am not one to usually venture out of my comfort zone, but I'm happy to have found this treasure. Lastly, but most importantly, the people who run this place are *genuinely* GOOD people. The customer service is top tier, you can tell that they are a very, very family oriented company, and I just could not feel any better supporting this local gem. Give them a try, and don't look back!

The breads made remind me of when I use to get fresh bread in Germany. The quality is exceptional. A true gem.

Wonderful baker with selection of breads focaccia, sourdough, Demi baguette, multi grain and weekly scone special. My favorite is the crusty Italian. The homemade honey granola is excellent. Order on line before Friday. If you live in Carlisle borough you can get a free delivery on Saturday morning.

This was my first purchase (sourdough and crusty Italian). I have only sampled the sourdough which is excellent. I am on my own so it will take a bit to finish these, but I feel certain I will be a regular customer. So far above store-bought bread!
