Looks like a dive bar from the outside but the food drink and service are the best we have had in the UP. The Black Garlic Steak and Chicken Sandwiches are awesome.

Google
First time in the Sue. This place opened at 11. The menu had lots of choices and it was funny. The signs quirky. Atmosphere was nice and you could tell they utilize the space they have to the full potential with the table set up. A little pricey but portions were nice and big. Friendly staff, quick, efficient, and helpful when picking out menu items. I ordered their pulled pork and BBQ with sweet potato tots and ranch (loved) on the side. I would have liked more bbq sauce on my sandwhich but it was good.My significant other ordered a cheeseburger and French fries. (I had to have one as they are thick cutt and they were amazing crispy on the edges and soft on the inside) We ordered an appetizer before that with a yummy dip, homade chips, and pretzel bites. The chips were a little overdone to me but he loved those and thought the pretzels were great too. I got a coke and It tasted old fashioned. That was very very good. Nice and ice cold. They refilled it without asking. Would go again.

Got the bean burger, it was 10/10. Nothing missing. Veggie options were available. Host was really kind and helpful. Spacious, but tight in the back end. Bathrooms inside. Would go again.

Google
A wonderful little bar located in Sault Saint Marie, MI! Offering a wide variety of adult drinks and some seriously tasty comfort food! Staff is quick and friendly and the food is hot, fresh and well prepared! Enjoy a drink at The Wicked Sister today!

Google
The food was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the cook needs to learn how cook when asked how you'd like your burger cooked. Other then that spot on. Drunks were killer atmosphere was awesome. Wait staff on point and extremely friendly. All the food was really good. Appetizer was delicious. We will be back to try other items.

This burger didn’t just feed me—it changed me. The patty was so juicy I’m convinced it was marinated in the tears of angels. That homemade BBQ sauce? It wasn’t sauce, it was liquid happiness that somehow escaped from heaven’s kitchen. I took one bite and immediately questioned every burger I’ve ever eaten before. The bun was doing its absolute best to hold the whole masterpiece together, but honestly, it deserved a standing ovation just for trying. By the time I was done, I needed a stack of napkins, a shower, and possibly a life coach to process what just happened. Would I eat it again? Absolutely. In fact, I’m already planning my next date with this burger. If you see me crying in the corner, just know they’re happy tears…and maybe a little leftover BBQ sauce.

Google
Enjoyed their seasonal special appetizer. Crab Rangoon dip with wonton chips. Enjoyed their great burger as well.

Google
Small, fun, eclectic atmosphere pub/restaurant that sells an array of gastro pub style food, craft beer, & mixed cocktails. Great for a quick appetizer or meal & libation, if your looking for something above average. Staff is attentive, engaging, & quickly moves food/beverages out with a smile. Excellent dining experience! Food, craft beer, & staff was terrific for us. Totally recommended!

Yelp
This is a small neighborhood bar with good food. The five-star rating is based on a comparison to other restaurants in Sault Ste. Marie, but anywhere else, I would still give it four stars. Remember, I said it is small. It is also popular, and it fills up quickly. The parking is primarily on the street, and it goes quickly. This time we were there for lunch and we just had sandwiches and salads, but everything was good. I particularly like their homemade potato chips. It's a nice, clean place. It's not too loud so you can have a conversation. The only downside is they have a lot of high-top seating. If you don't like that, make sure you get there early.

Yelp
So many items I wanted to try on the unique menu. My sister and I split the drunken cow burger and burnt ends Mac a cini. Very tasty. Wanted to note we are from Ohio and did not have the basic cheese burger.

Yelp
Quiet food spot with unique offerings. Top notch burger with many variations of toppings from beer cheese to more traditional. Special of the day was Korean Chicken sandwich with kimchi. Appetizers were awesome and were worth the trip alone. Service was personal and timely but we were there off hours and they were not overly busy. Overall great stop.

Yelp
Stopped for dinner after driving up from Detroit for the weekend. I started with the "Grand Ass" which is a grapefruit/citrus mule which was quite refreshing (and certainly could be dangerous if there were free refills.) We had the construction dip as an appetizer... it was everything they claim it to be - 10/10. I had the shrimp tacos and sweet potato tots they were very tasty and a little spicy (tacos). My husband also enjoyed his Teacher's Pet smash burger and tots du jour (bacon, cheddar, ranch) Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant and restrooms were clean and well appointed. If I were a local I would be a "regular ".

Yelp
Unfortunately we have had continuous bad experiences here over the last six months or so and will no longer be giving the establishment our business. It started with several visits ordering wraps, special seasonal items like their $30 steak, or their BBQ. Each time became consistently worse to the point of being inedible. Wrong orders, cold, steak so undercooked that it couldn't be physically chewed. When we make the servers aware why we didn't eat any of it, we've gotten "oh our bad" and don't make any further effort. Last night we went out to celebrate a slew of big accomplishments amongst our party and had the worst time. I ordered a seasonal item of risotto and pork, the dish only had fat/gristle as the "meat", was cold and very bland. The risotto was partially undercooked. The pineapple juice in my drink was very old and chunky as well. I was able to switch my meal for something that was almost worst. I ordered a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and a garden salad. How can that go wrong? The soup was a bad, bland watered down Campbells with overcooked frozen broccoli mixed in. So bad that I had the whole table try it to understand and not even my garbage disposal fiancé could stomach it. The garden salad had four slices of tomato and a few slices of cucumber and that was it, most of the greens being bad, slimy and dark in color. I was charged almost $80 for this experience. The server tried to make it right the first time, but we left severely disappointed. The restaurant that used to be our favorite has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY in quality and it breaks my heart to say I think that was the last time I go in. I love supporting local, but everything is processed and frozen now and it shows majorly. I'd have to recommend Cozy Corners in Barbeau if you're looking for a good burger and a drink as an alternative since we've now lost the only great place in town for this type of cuisine. Absolutely heart broken over this decrease in quality and I hope management genuinely takes our continuous bad experiences and the feedback we give to the servers each time to heart, because I hate losing Wicked.

Yelp
Excellent and friendly service and tasty food! We'll come back when we're in the Soo.

Yelp
Solid choice for a dinner and drinks. Place was clean and the service was friendly. I enjoyed the meal and the menu had a nice selection of items although it could use more side options but overall I'd recommend this place if you're in the area

Yelp
Was recommended by a local who mentioned it wasn't typical greasy bar food. Very glad we stopped in. Has a dive bar feel to it as you walk in past the bar to the dark tables in the back. Server was friendly and attentive. We selected specials of Oscar steak and Cajun potato soup and all the food was wonderful. Wanted to try several other items as well. All was flavorful and cooked well.

Jill P.

Yelp
Food is fresh and they make creative burgers. the cheese curds are surprisingly different--blocks of garlic creaminess with a crunchy outer than breading. People with us loved the bourbon chicken sandwich. Drinks were too sweet and not so great--more like juice or the mixer. They do have an assortment of craft beers. The place itself is a little darker than I expected. I like to see my food more. Wait staff was friendly.

Yelp
Came in here for dinner. We ordered the burgers. It tastes great and came with a side of kettle chips. The bartender who took our order was very sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable and clean. It has a modern touch. Overall, it serves great burgers, it had a nice atmosphere and great customer service.

Yelp
Had the skinny bastard w some tots and it was it all delicious. The homemade ranch was excellent too. Service was friendly and great. Neat little place to grab a bite or a drink, or both.

Shirley M.

Yelp
Ordered BLT on flatbread, expecting an open face sandwich. The "bread" was pita shaped. Good fillings & construction sauce added a good flavor. Drunken burger was a bit bland with the sauce on the side (by choice). Overall food was good. Bathrooms clean. Blue Mango Margarita is worth another trip! Service was a bit slow as one individual was taking orders and processing food slips.

Yelp
Lots of places to choose from as we strolled to town, but we chose this place. I guess you could say that the name, atmosphere and food spoke to us. We sat at the bar order some drinks and delicious food. The bartender was super helpful on suggestions and overall pleasant and friendly. I had the Skinny Bastard burger and golly was it delicious. I'd definitely stop back

Yelp
If you're visiting the area, highly recommend getting here earlier rather than later. I don't blame them for their service due to how busy they were, but we ended up waiting 1 hour for our food to come out and I think our waitress forgot about us. The food was ok, the chips were terrible but everything else was fine. The drinks were fun to try and pretty tasty, and most drinks were local to Michigan breweries. BBQ pulled pork: tasty, but took an hour to arrive and my chips were stale and cold. Sun dried tomato chicken: very tasty, no complaints. Overall: it was very busy so get there early, and have some fun drinks here. Expect it to be busy during the summertime due to tourists!

Yelp
Menu is fun to read. Food is good but not exceptional. Service was good, staff was friendly. Just not what we expected.

Penny G.

Yelp
I had the Teacher's Pet burger. It was outstanding! Our group shared the Construction Dip. Creamy, cheesy and good!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved the vibe. Nice and chill and perfect for a group of coworkers to come and enjoy themselves with good food and drinks! Service was quick. We will be back.

Yelp
Probably the most interesting menu in the UP!! We loved the food; the vibe; the service. Get the construction dip - SOOOOO good!! I had the Baja bowl with chicken- my husband had the bbq pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato tots - all excellent. This is the only place I'll ever go in the future in the Soo!!
google avatar

Troy A.

Yelp
Interesting place. Kind of a dive bar atmosphere. Lots of interesting craft beer, lots of different alcohol to choose from. I had a cup of soup and a flat bread sandwich. Both were very tasty. I would go back. Their wait staff was very attentive as well.

Yelp
Great food! A+ Drinks and A++ service by Emily. In town to see the Soo Locks. Visiting from Florida.
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Food was disappointing. Hamburger bun was soggy on the bottom. Construction dip was nothing great, at most average. Service was great!!! Nope, not returning. And they took a Reuben off the menu. It was very good in the past, as was the mushroom soup. Not sure what's going on.

Pete H.

Yelp
Stopped on a Tuesday around one o'clock with a party at six place was very busy, we were seated fairly quickly. Was told an issue with the walk-in beer cooler so the beer selection was very limited (after we had ordered) For appetizers we had cheddar cheese bites and tots both were good. We all had burgers, drunken cow , dirty uncle, and cheeseburgers , all were good. It's definitely a hometown bar.

Yelp
It was my first time to Wicked Sister a few weeks ago. The wait staff was amazing taking time with my party. The food was way beyond what I was expecting.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
We are visiting the area and the reviews looked great here so we decided to take the .7 mile walk to it. We didn't know what to expect when we first looked at the outside. Is it a dive bar or a bar and restaurant. It's a bar and restaurant and they were welcoming to me, my wife and kids, oh and food is great! The menu is fun to read because the descriptions are funny. I've loaded a couple my 13 year old thought were hilarious. Seriously though, they have good food and nice people serving it. We'd go back. 07/24/23

Yelp
Had their burger special and tater tot special (jalapeno and corn). YUM. Burger cooked perfectly and juicy. Writing this review so if I'm back in the area I can go again!

Yelp
We were visiting the Soo to take care of our ailing father and tried The Wicked Sister for lunch. The first day I had the Ope Burger and it was delicious! They have great beers on tap. It was so good we had to go back!! The food and the service are great!

Yelp
upon entering we were promptly seated at one of the last few tables. Our server took our drink orders and described the specials. She was quick to return to take our orders and was knowledgeable about the menu choices and very friendly In assisting us! our food arrived in quick order, if their German potato soup is available, I highly recommend it. our entire evening was enjoyable a great stop if your in the area!

Linda S.

Yelp
An absolute must do when your in Sault Saint Marie, MI. Started with "Construction Dip" served with soft pretzels and homemade chips and the "Garlic Cheese Cubes". The chips were very well seasoned and the cheese cubes were lightly coated and fried to perfection. DELICIOUS My entrée was a pulled pork sandwich with the most amazing Blackberry BBQ sauce on it. I had the sweet potato tots as my side. Cute little puffs of yummyness. Our waitress EMILEY was the best I've ever seen. Refills were delivered before you even thought of it. Take the time to read the story of there beginning. Can't wait for our next trip to the UP.

Yelp
Good service! Waitress knew exactly what we needed! Tasty selections ! Try this one out for a unique experience.

Amanda W.

Yelp
It was busy and clearly short staffed. However our waitress was wonderful and the food was so good. The dessert, was not a highlight, and I could do without but overall, I would absolutely go back to eat!

Yelp
One of the best places to eat/drink in the Soo. I love the creative menu and the setup. Staff are very helpful and nice.

Yelp
Overall - I wouldn't go back because of the sneaky billing and sketchy service, We came in just after the lunch rush, I ordered the a cup of soup, fries and the dirty uncle, my sister-in-law had the slim with their tots of the day and my grandchildren had the kids grilled cheese. The food was good, the bourbon sauce made the two burgers and was excellent, it had that sweet heat that everyone is in love with right now. The fries were nothing special just a good, well cooked thick cut fry. She said the tots were ok. The service is why the 3 stars. My granddaughters both wanted the grilled cheese, 5.00 each, they do not like French fries, the waitress asked if they would like something different and gave examples of items they could have, salad being one, which they both picked. When we finally received the food (much longer than average wait) the girls were brought their grilled cheese with fries. I received coleslaw, no fries and still no soup. My sister-in-law's was correct! I explained the girls had ordered salads, not fries and that I had ordered soup and fries not coleslaw. They brought out the correct sides very rapidly, The girls side salads were a bread plate with a layer of salad, perfect for a kids side and they enjoyed them. I tasted the soup, it was good but now I had to choose did I want my burger to be hot or my soup, I went for the burger so I didn't end up eating the soup, We saw our waitress a lot but she worked very hard to ignore us so when I was finally able to ask her for the check we had been done eating for a while. She bought the check which only had seat cost, not broken out by item. The girls meals somehow added up to just under 18.00, my sister in laws (slim with tots) just under 18 and mine was just under 22. When I was able to get her attention again, I asked her for an itemized bill, she said, oh everything is on there and bought me another copy of the same bill and jetted off, we waited and waited, she finally came back and I explained the kids pricing wasn't correct, she said - well their meals came with fries, the salads were extra and immediately took off again. apparently 4.00 per salad almost doubling and he cost of their meals... nice that she suggested them and never mentioned that when the girls said they didn't want fries. Ironically, if she would have told me ahead of time about the doubling of the cost, I would have still let them get the salads, I just didn't like the sneaky way everything was handled. We waited and waited for her to stop by and collect the card for payment, she never came back. As we were all sick of sitting there and were being ignored, we resorted to paying cash and got out of there.

Dave K.

Yelp
this place is awesome. I've been in burger bars from north to south of the US and this one at the far north is one of the best! The burger was out of control awesome and the tots are to die for! No place I've ever been is better and I've been a lot of places in 62 years. either Eat here or be sad the rest of your days.

Yelp
Great breakfast lunch meals. Very tasty and home made. View of the Lochs to watch the boats.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
Food was creative and delicious. We had a Brunch cider and a blueberry mule. French onion stuffed mushrooms and construction dip appetizers were lovely. BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich was amazing! Tots du jour were a creative and fun side. Service was top-notch. Emily was great!!!
google avatar

Madison O.

Yelp
Our waitress was really nice and was very helpful. We went close to closing and considering that, it didn't feel like we were rushed at all. The food came out quick and was really good. The fries seemed like they were made fresh in house and were tasty. Both of the sandwiches we got were good and not dry. The salad was decent too.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
This place was pretty cool. The food, drinks, service were all spot on. You should check it out!

Cassie W.

Yelp
Burned chips. No one checked on us - had to flag down waitress. Other than poor service- to be fair they were busy but no real effort to address an inedible part of the meal. Disappointing.

MJ F.

Yelp
Had crab Rangoon dipping sauce with chips, boneless buffalo wings with blue cheese & shrimp tacos. Shared lunch for two.
google avatar

Bob A.

Yelp
The service was great! Everyone we encountered was super friendly and very efficient and effective at their job. I really liked the ambiance as well. There is a bar tight there as you come in with dining seating in the rear. This building and bar have been here for a while, but it has a bit of a college hangout vibe going on. The food was a bit underwhelming. I was craving a burger and the seasonal places in town are closed for winter so I came here. The tots du jour (jalapeño popper tots) were great, but the burger wasn't good - the beef seemed like something you'd get at the grocery store prepared in advance and cooked in a George Foreman. The toppings were good - and were what made the burger a little sloppy - but the burger meat left too much to be desired. I want to go back for some of their other menu items and I will. Several good craft beers as well.

Scott S.

Yelp
Had a very good burger with some cheesy tots. Tots were different as they were more of a small puff than a tator tot with cheese added. As I was really in the mod for tatter tots, they were a disappointment to me. Place was nothing fancy from decor perspective, small town pub vibe. Service was prompt and friendly.

Amy D.

Yelp
Delicious burgers! Black bean burger is heavenly! Fries are outstanding! Service was awesome- Olivia is the sweetest! Take a chance - can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Blue burger with broccoli slaw was amazing!! Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for a better lunch spot.

Yelp
Yum! Great food. Their signature dip is excellent! I love that they have daily and weekly specials. The ultimate BLT is also really good and you can't go wrong with one of their burgers. Great beer selection too!

Randy W.

Yelp
Spouse and I both had salads. Everything was fresh and hot the spot after a long day of driving.

Paul N.

Yelp
The food was really great, the service was super good, Emily was so friendly. Great place to come, we loved it!

Yelp
Good bar food and draft list. The specials are always very good. Food is timely and staff is very friendly.

Yelp
I was getting ready to leave town, but wanted to see what this restaurant had to offer. I heard so many good things. I got there as soon as they opened at 11AM. The bartender/server was friendly. I explained my situation and he helped me place a to-go order. I got the Macaroni Burger with chips. The burger was awesome. It had macaroni, bacon, and a special sauce that was out of this world. I was not a fan of the chips, they did not have much taste to them. The food, however, was ready pretty quick and I had time to spare before my flight out. The bar is pretty spacious and has a nice atmosphere/vibe. I wish I had time to eat my meal there. They also have daily lunch specials. My mind was set on the Macaroni Burger though. It was an excellent choice I may say.

Yelp
I'm in town for work and I went on back to back days with different guys for lunch. The first day I went with one guy and we both ordered the burger special. It was a jalapeño popper burger. Basically a beef patty with a cheese, cream cheese jalapeño topping. I thought it was pretty good. The house made chips the burger came with were nothing special. The next day I went with two guys from work. The jalapeño popper burger was still on special but I decided to go with the Drunken Cow. There was quite a bit of cheese on this burger. It was kind of nice because it made the chips more tolerable. The caramelized onions were more like pedals than straws so that was a little different. I like the Drunken Cow more than the Popper special. I'd recommend getting a side other than the chips.
