The Wine Room at Afton Village Inc.

This is a great place to hang out and get some food and drinks. They have an extensive list of different wines, and their food is delicious. The service is top-notch, and they really look after you while you are there. They have indoor and outdoor seating. My sister and her husband go there every Friday night, and they have live entertainment.

First , the place isnt bad. Good food choices and liquor. Food was average at best. Not sure why there was only 1 person working the place. Especially on a Saturday lunch time. Little ridiculous. Management definitely needs to stick a help wanted sign on the window. The woman serving us was busting her hump and did what she could to provide a good experience. But still. Thats not right! Walking in and seeing no one , especially no one at the bar serving, is not a good look for customers. Id like to see actually plates being used in the bar area Instead of paper plates as well. Throw the paper plates in the trash and upgrade please. I cant say id recommend this place from what I seen. They definitely need to upgrade the plates, food, and service.

There were plenty seats on their patio or indoors, some people brought their own chairs to sit on. Service was very good as well, very friendly staff. I tried the cheesecake and it was delish, and had a glass of moscato. Definitely a great place to hang for girls night or a date.

This place is one of our favorites, we've been coming here for years and have yet to any disappointments. The food is great, I've had everything on the menu at least twice and would get everything again. There is plenty of shaded seating so that you could enjoy your vino in comfort. It's often busy but never too busy to stop in which is a great quality. This is my special place and the staff makes me feel like family. Becca checked in on us whenever we lifted our heads, she was fantastic!! And although we come here throughout the year, my favorite times are spring and autumn. Oh and Don't forget half-priced bottles in Monday which is perfect after a Monday at the office!!!

Must go to the wine tastings! Super yummy and always a treat. Staff is great! Food super yummy (I love the Flatbread).

Cozy spot with seating in or outside. Clean bathrooms. A cellar with bottle for purchase. Wine/beer/cocktail bar with yummy finger and meal foods. Entertainment like trivia occur. The ladies behind the bar are attentive and witty! Great place for first date or date night away from kids! But hey, this place is still kid friendly. And it’s local to our growing community! Five stars! Def recommend for some low-key fun in Concord!

Fun and friendly people. The house cabernet is lovely. The employees are very nice. There was live music while I was there. Great panini. Good charcuterie board. Will be back. May become a regular customer.

Fun! We really enjoyed our afternoon , we had ordered the wine flight. We enjoyed them all. The cheese and meat board was nice too, atmosphere is enjoyable and they have a great selection of wines. I will be back!

We went in in a rainy saturday afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves. Inside is very cozy and enjoyed the back room with a great display of bottles you could purchase. They also have a large patio area that is covered and opened, we'll definitely be back to enjoy that. We ordered two glasses of wine and both were great. We also did two flat breads & buffalo chicken dip. All fantastic, we can wait to go back! Highly recommend you check it out.

This place was a very welcomed breath of fresh air. We have had nothing but bad to mediocre experiences around the Concord/Kannapolis and Salisbury areas so we were pleasantly surprised to just come here on a random Friday night and were welcomed to an inviting atmosphere and a decent acoustic musician. Food here was decent but we really didn't come to eat but did grab a little something. Only thing we would recommend is that there be more available sides and apps. Great selection of wine and even beers. We will come back.

I had a little free time on my hand so I met with my girls at the Wine room in Afton Village. Along with our wine, came music by a very talented band called Comfortable Shirt. Food, wine, good music and great company make for the best relaxing Saturday evening at the Wine Room.

I dig the Wine Room-chill spot, great wine/beer selection, and everyone is very knowledgeable there if you have any questions...Nice selection of wine and wine related gifts to take home too!

This is actually a solid four. My sister and I meet up here a couple times of year. The inside is how shall I say rather quaint, but plenty of outdoor seating so I suggest coming when the weather is nice. We didn't get appetizers this time because we were just here for drinks and planned to eat close by. If they are busy the service could be a little slow but no worries it's still service with a smile. Be sure to check their website for the daily special. Pro tip: there is seating in front of the bar but that isn't owned by them. If you don't want to self-serve be sure to sheet patio seating.

Four of us stopped in for lunch on a weekday afternoon. Our server was very friendly and pleasant, and took great care of us! After we settled in, we got in our orders with some expert help from our server. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My wife had special ordered, and they fogot to adjust her entree, but our server took it back and got it quickly corrected. I got the Yadkin Valley Panini - the apple was a really nice touch, both in taste and texture. My wife got the chicken salad, but put it in a wrap instead of the croissant. She said it was very tasty and fresh! Another in our party got the Veggie Flatbread, but added spinach and balsamic to it - delicious! The final diner in our group got a wrap and added bacon, which he said was perfectly cooked and quite delicious. The chips were very good, and the fruit side was orange slices and grapes - unique, but my wife enjoyed it. Meals are served on styrofoam plates, so nothing fancy, but the food was quite tasty and the service was excellent. They have a good variety of wines, and of course there are many bottles in the store to choose from as well!

The cutest little wine bar that offers great live music in the summer. They have a huge selection of wine and if you're looking for something in particular they're super helpful in helping you find it. They do have a menu for light bites but it's not something I would recommend having "dinner" at. They have a bar so great if you're solo or table and chairs if you're with a group. I love their patio and will always be my go-to when the weather is nice. Great for date night, ladies night or self-care .

I've frequented the wine room over the years but hadn't really ordered food...hmmm...go figure. But last night was a celebration of sorts and we did order food along with some of our guest getting wine. I'm not a huge wine drinker but have no fear they also have well drinks. Basic ones, but nonetheless, a full bar. Service has always been good at The Wine Room. Someone on staff is always VERY knowledgeable on everything wine. Tonight was no different. A lovely server schooled us on some top shelf wines and coaxed my friends on a bottle or two or three. We ordered a charcuterie board to start, which everything on the board was excellent albeit a little skimpy (sadly didn't get a picture) I mean it was enough, but we could have eaten more if there was more. The group either ordered a wrap or flatbread. They seemed to take awhile to come out but we weren't in a hurry. Flatbreads look delicious and my friends loved them. My wrap was good, not exceptional. My other two friends finished their whole wraps so I guess they liked them. And honestly, they're not bad, just nothing special. We also ordered dessert and they were delicious. There's plenty of seating in the venue. Outside patio is large and inside there's bar seating. Tabletops. Tables and banquet. But there's also the "back room". That's where we sat. It's a U-shaped tall table with bar stools amongst shelves of wine. It's really nice for large parties celebrating something. It's intimate and has a good vibe. The Wine Room is a fun place to hang out and socialize.

We love the Wine Room. Their food is amazing, ambiance incredible, and service can't be beat. It's a nice place to go on date night.

The Wine room is a great place to just grab a drink with friends or have a meal with family. They offer a lot of great events each week as well. My favorites are the wine tasting and trivia night. Service is always great too. When it comes to food, some of my favorites are the spinach dip, the tomato soup and the flat breads.

Wine and dessert were wonderful. I would not go there to specifically eat though. Service was also great!

I went there a few years ago to quietly celebrate my birthday. I love everything about the place especially the live music. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is extremely calm. I will be going back again this year in a few weeks

VISIT DATE April 16, 2021 FOOD: I ordered the veggie flat bread and It was REALLY GOOD. I was there with my co-workers and they enjoyed their food as well. The food came to really quick. STAFF: Great service and our service always came to our table to check up on us. Even the other Customers were nice. INSIDE: it's so nice and very relaxing. I seen on the board where they even have bands there on some nights. In the back room there is a area where to buy wine bottle and hand made wine glass. If you are a Carolina Panthers fan (I'm not LOL) they even have a wine bottles. There's a patio outside. Nice place to hang with friends or even a date. Lots of room to park. SIDE NOTE: I was not a fan of the glass that they give customers to drink their wine from. I guess Im picky with my wine glass and when drinking out of them, especially from a Wine restaurant. Other then the wines glass... I will most definitely go back.

Great place excellent staff. Rotating art for sale, cute inside and they have a nice outdoor patio seating area too. The are very accommodating they allowed me to bring in balloons, birthday paper goods and a small cake to surprise a friend for her birthday when we were there this week.

Great ambience. Good food. Fairly intimate. Nice selection of wine. Knowledgeable staff with great service.

I absolutely have 100% loved every visit I've had here since moving to Concord last August. The service is always phenomenal and the wine choices are awesome and delicious. We visit here probably 3 times a month.

Loved this place! The bruschetta was great, along with the flatbread. Very chill and great for drinks with friends.

I love this place and would give them 5 stars, but it's December, only in the 50s, and they won't shut the door. I am sitting as far away from the door as possible and can't handle it so I have to leave and will make sure next time to only eat here in the winter when the door is closed.

Service absolutely horrible. After we finally ordered waitress never came back to the table. Went to the bar and got a drink and waitress stated everyone wanted her....that's why everyone was walking up to her...to order because she never comes back. Not a place I will return to

We met up with some friends at the Wine Room and was really looking forward to the experience. The wine and atmosphere were great. They had an acoustical guitarist outside and it was a perfect night. Unfortunately as many reviewers have commented, the food was sub par. Even to the fact that the food is served in cheap plastic plates and silverware. I wasn't expecting fine dining but their offerings were something that I could make myself at home (I could have done it better). Our entire party was disappointed in this and would make it really hard to return. It's ashame because I think that they have a lot to offer.

This is the best Wine spot on this side of town. They have a variety of wine options. The ladies are well versed in Wine talk. Erika is the best server!

5 stars, BUT, a few suggestions. I had the French Grilled panini with honey and fruit with house Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm not a wine expert, but what a perfect match for a hot southern day. The cab is a nice generous pour and dry with a bit of vanilla for only six bucks Two simple suggestions. Beer on tap and maybe a local honey to go with the French Panini. But so good overall. My wife had some kind of flat bread pizza, which she loved.

This place is quaint. I enjoyed the wine and being able to sit and talk. We went at a time that was not as busy. They have a menu which is good because some other places do not serve any food with their wine. They allow you to order and run a tab. This place is worth me visiting again. They also have gifts for the people who enjoy wine. Their restrooms are very clean.

I went to the wine room for my first time last night with a friend of mine. We did a wine tasting and ordered food. The wine was amazing, the food was delicious (I ordered the avocado turkey wrap and she got the bruschetta flatbread), and the service was excellent. We will be back for sure!

This place is too cute. The staff is super friendly. They have TONS of bottles for sale and the prices are on point. As another reviewer pointed out, as a wine snob, you will probably feel a little limited by the selection but the atmosphere made it up to me. It is such a great place to hang out with your friends for a relaxing night. They also have Lolita glasses for sale, which I love! And tons of other paraphernalia. Try the New Age, its a great summer/spring wine. Very light with lots of great floral tones to it.

This is a lovely neighborhood wine room. The staff is friendly and I enjoy the wine tastings on Tuesdays. If I can't make it on a Tuesday, I usually get a wine flight: three 2 oz. pours of your favorite whites or reds for only $8. What a great deal. Regarding the food, it's not fancy but its good. I like the sunshine salad and the quesadilla (which isn't on the new menu, but they'll still make it for you). Once, a waitress even created a special cheese appetizer for me: goat cheese drizzled with honey and serve with graham crackers. It was amazing! I never would have thought to combine these flavors, but I'm glad she did. Now, I offer it to my guest when I entertain. Also the wine expert on staff makes great recommendations on food and wine pairings.

Had a nice dinner, enjoyed a great wine tasting and got some early Christmas shopping done. I always enjoy the ambiance when I'm here. It's a great local place with fun events. Put this place on your list!

This is a GREAT place to hang out, have a glass of wine and listen to live music. We love the indoor and outdoor seating. Owner and staff are super friendly and attentive. They also have beer and "some" mixed drinks for those who want to hang out and don't drink wine. We haven't tried the food, as we typically come to hang with friends and have a drink.

Lovely atmosphere and good wine, however we were not impressed by the food. I posted a picture of the sampler platter-it was so small! And the spinach dip was pretty much less than a serving for one person. All in all we enjoyed our time at the Wine Room, but I would just recommend going there for wine and not food!

Dear Wine Room, I really REALLY wanted to be able to give you 5 stars. I will keep visiting you to hopefully one day revise this review. Positives: I love the setup of the Wine Room. Very quiet atmosphere, outdoor seating, lots of art, and wine related trinkets to look at. Negatives: I am a nerd and love trivia nights. The trivia night on Wednesday at 8:00 was rather disappointing. I arrived at 8:04 to be told that we could not join in because they already started (even though there weren't that many people playing) I have faith that trivia night can be fun!! Get a speaker who is loud and excited. Maybe offer a free glass of wine or beer to the winning team...? Service was excellent, and prices were standard. I love coming here to meet up with family or friends, for a few drinks, an app or two, or even for a hearty meal. You can sit outside on the patio year-round, which is really nice in the fall! The chicken jalapeño flatbread and the sunshine salad are my faves!

This is an amazing gem for all of your gathering needs! We had a "couples" baby shower here, and everyone raved about the delicious food, the over-the-top service, and the welcoming atmosphere. They took care of every detail from the first call until everyone left! It was fabulous, and the service was above and beyond superb! I would highly recommend gathering here for any special occasion or just a night out for anyone!

I am in love this place, they have delicious wine choices... and some tasty beer options for nights that aren't wine nights. The service is great and the scenery is even better particularly when they have a band. It's an awesome place to just relax and have a few drinks with friends! (Or to celebrate your moms 50th bday)

Service has went downhill recently. One girl responsible for taking care of the entire restaurant, kitchen is backed up making the wait for food close to an hour. Don't waste your time unless you have a good 3 hours to spare.

Relaxed atmosphere. Great wine. Friendly staff. Our "go to" place mid-week for a light dinner or snack or just to enjoy a nice bottle of wine. Always something going on - especially enjoy the entertainment on the weekend.

Incredibly disappointing. Service was awful. Mixed drinks were not drinkable. In the end, we didn't get the food we ordered and the waitress spent most of her evening gabbing to people two tables down from us completely unphased that we had been left without our orders ever arriving. 10 minutes before closing time she eventually brought half of our order (after waiting nearly 1 hr!) Overpriced and managed by a couple of kids this evening. Not a manager in sight. Would definitely not recommend.

We went as a group after work and the service took forever! We also got the sampler platter, the other review about such a small portion is very true! We had 8 people there and got it for everyone, we each had a bite. We finished our drinks and went across the street to finish out our night.

Had such a great time with my girlfriends here on a Friday night. Loved the quaint atmosphere, the simple but tasty little food menu and the selection of wine. The live musician was fantastic and it was clean with a lively staff. Great for date night as well!!!

Great atmosphere, nice patio, good food and friendly service. Tried the new seasonal appetizer ( goat cheese and peach crostini) and it was excellent! Tried a red wine the owner recommended and I loved it. Music on the weekends and wine tastings on Tuesday's. Also I believe they do karaoke as well on occasion. A great date night, or night out with the girls. We will be going back soon!

First of all it is a wine room. So that said, the wine I have had there has always been good.. The atmosphere is a welcome change from the other restaurants in the area. It is laid back, relaxing and very welcoming. The patio is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. However, the food is a huge disappointment. We ordered the " international cheese plate". Easy right? Wine and cheese. The cheese was served stone cold from the refrigerator! How can you serve a cheese plate and not know that cheese, especially Brie, needs to be served at room temperature? That is basic cheese knowledge. Our sandwiches were fair, the bread they used was blah sandwich bread -could have been bought from the bread isle at a local grocery store. Same with the roast beef- grocery store lunch meat. I love simple food. Great ingredients, simple preparations equal wonderful food. This place is not that. The food tasted like I was having lunch at a friend's house back when I was 8. Ok, but definitely not what should be paired with wine for evening out. Small changes could really make the place a stand out in Afton Village.
