Great atmosphere and energy! Wine was average and service was a tad slow, but the friendliness of the staff and other guests more than made up for anything!

Google
Fantastic winery with a delicious variety of wines for a range of palettes. The sparkling wine, Glitter, is a true crowd-pleaser, but you are sure to find something that appeals to you here. Some recent favorites are the viognier, people's blends (white and red), sweet sauvignon, and Sonoma pinot noir. Give them a shot, and you'll be well rewarded with delicious wines and a gorgeous view of the Bay Bridge. Wine club membership has been well worth the price.

Love this place! They have amazing wines and always have a great atmosphere for tasting. Try the Glitter. It was so good that I ordered multiple cases.

Google
I am a wedding coordinator who had a wedding here. This is a lovely place to have your wedding here. All of our guests enjoyed the winery atmosphere and the romantic night with our couples. Plus, the wine is tasty and food is amazing! Highly recommend!

Google
I'm a wedding planner and I've had the pleasure of coordinating multiple ceremonies and receptions here. The space is large and gorgeous! It's a bit industrial just outside the venue so it's meant to be more of an all in one space. The upstairs is perfect for transforming into a lounge. Downstairs sparkles if you invest in lighting and florals. I wouldn't recommend using their lowest tier catering package (black plastic plates) and would bring in an outside caterer if you are a foodie.

Gail Nott

Google
Great wine. You have a choice of two flights; one is $10, the other is $15 or get both for $20. The place is spacious, with seating outside and in. Plus, it's dog-friendly.

Google
Nice place but they shorted us a bottle of wine. We did not realize until we got home that we paid for three bottles but only received two.

What a treat. The owners are the nicest people and the wine is good. Beautiful views.

Yelp
Open during the pandemic y'all! I am beginning to feel like I am binge-dining-out now. I guess it's because like the rest of the world, I've been sheltering in place and finally feeling safe to get out while taking precautions. The reason why we came here is because of the 2-for-1 "wife appreciation" ad. Lol! I sent it to my husband as a joke and because he's my husband, he booked it. We invited another couple and drove out to Treasure Island for a good time. We were a bit confused when we got there because all four wineries in the area combined for outdoor seating at Vie Winery. They were busy so based on the sign, we thought we were at the wrong place. Walked to The Winery SF and got redirected here. I guess this review is for all four wineries, but since the ad was for this place, I'll keep it here. The service was great, despite a longer wait. I completely understand though because there were a lot of parties there with not too many staff. There were plenty of seating and the outdoor space is huge so everyone was pretty spaced out. There is only one outdoor restroom so be prepared to wait. We ended up enjoying our time so much, we all did a tasting and had four bottles of wine after that...among four people. We also ordered the charcuterie boxes. Yes, so that's how the story ended! It was a little chilly, but it was a perfect September weekend. All the staff were super nice. Thanks for a wonderful time! Wineries: The Winery SF, Vie, Sol, Sottomarino

Yelp
Who would have thought that a bomb ass winery would exist on Treasure Island? On Treasure Island of all places! But daaaamn, this little place just blew me away with the quickness! I purchased a wine tasting passport a few months ago and have been trying to put that sucker to use before the end of the year is up. I noticed that a couple of the wineries included on my passport were located right over the bridge in Treasure Island. We tasted at 4 different wineries on the Island with the Winery SF being our first stop. The Winery SF was hands down the BEST out of all of the ones we visited. I mean, they literally blew all of the rest of them out of the water. It had me wishing that they were the last stop instead of the first. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. Just an old converted warehouse with "The Winery" painted at the top of it. But inside... whoa! Super spacious with the most adorable damn vintage style decor ever! I wanted to steal every chair, every mirror, every wine glass, everyTHING in that place! This venue is often rented out for weddings and parties, and I can totally see why! It's just as cute as a button! Rachel helped us out that afternoon and she was absolutely fantastic! She was warm, knowledgeable, and just as bubbly at the wine that we were drinking. The tasting menu options here are crazy good! It's $10 for their 4 wine SF series tasting, $15 for their 4 wine signature tasting, or do both for $20 and you'll also get an additional pour of their glitter blend! That's 9 wine tastings for $20 y'all! After we tasted here, we almost didn't even feel like going to the other wineries. Instant tipsiness! And, did I mention that the pours were heavy? Yes GAWD! We spent 2 whole hours here tasting up a storm and it didn't even feel like we were there for that long. And their wines... goodness gracious! Or should I say, graciously GOOD! Their wines were delicious! I enjoyed the majority of them. Really good quality wines and such a great selection at a reasonable price! Totally enjoyed their delicious "Glitter" sparkling wine and I'm not even the sparkling wine type. Their white blend was super refreshing! I instantly fell in love with their Pinot Noir and their "People's Red Blend". Damn, it was all too scrumptious for me. When a place can make this many delicious wines, it's a problem! In a good and bad way... sorry wallet! To top it off, you can walk outside and enjoy the gorgeous view of the Bay Bridge. Trust me, it makes the perfect backdrop while tasting that wine! This place is awesome, awesoooome, AWESOME sauce! The best winery on Treasure Island by a landslide!

Parag B.

Yelp
Located in a scenic area by the water. The breeze is chilly, but the view is great. The white wines were great for a sunny day. They were not too filling. My girl enjoyed the rose and the white. The red blend was not tasty. We ordered a zen. It was amazing. We enjoyed most of the wines. Try to avoid the red blend if you can.

Gerald H.

Yelp
The Winery SF is a old hangar turned into winery/tasting room on Treasure Island. The place is great for hosting special events. On other days when there is only wine tasting the place is huge! Go to the back for wine tasting and enjoy the view. The wines are good. I liked their red blends. The tasting fees are very reasonable and they are very hospitable. It's not really a cozy kind of wine tasting bar if that is what your looking. It's a no frills taste wine in a warehouse kind of experience but the views are of the city are great. If I had to choose wine tasting on Treasure Island I would opt for the other three across the parking area because they have three wineries clustered with a great outdoor lounge area but her is good too.

Kelly G.

Yelp
Such a cool spot! So close to the city, yet so secluded at the same time. Great view of downtown and of the bridge. Wine was tasty. Michael, our pourer was superb. He made sure our group always had wine and that we were having a great time. Will be back fo sho.

Yelp
There are things to do on Treasure Island SF...this includes sailing and going to the weekend flea market. Today I decided to try wine tasting on TI. The first stop was the The Winery. It was a nice venue. They have events/weddings. The Winery offers wine tasting for $10 a flight. I had some sips of someone's wine and it was typical. It's a nice place to hang out. It's a good weekend activity near SF to go wine tasting on TI. There are about 4 wineries I think.

Matthew O.

Yelp
Not the best experience at the Winery, definitely some highlights but also some things that put a damper on the experience. The pros: The space was very cool. All the way out on treasure island, great views all around, nice open warehouse space (although minimal seating, the majority of the space was just open floor for standing?), it is worth coming out to visit at least once to enjoy the area that a lot of people rarely visit. Good selection of wine as well. I'm really not a huge wine guy and truthfully it did not taste amazing but the fact that there were so many options was nice and I bought a full bottle of champagne because it was so tasty! The cons: See above ^ barely any seating... surprised there weren't more tables inside although there were a few extra benches outside why would we go out there if we were doing multiple tastings? The service was poor, the one lady working there when we got there when it was empty was very friendly and helpful. The thing is we went on a Saturday and while it filled up quickly she still seemed to be the only person working there. Not her fault but it was hard to get any help especially if you got a tasting. We also came for a birthday but all ordered separate and a smaller group of us all paid and left to go next door before the majority of the group. Someone else who worked there came out to us 30 minutes later telling us someone else in the larger group didn't pay. I understand that you don't want anyone dining and dashing but it's really not our job to keep track of every order or person in the party and it made me uncomfortable. The location itself deserves a visit thought and maybe the next experience will be better than the first.

Yelp
We discovered this little winery after going to the Treasure Island Flea Market and didn't want to get stuck in the long line of cars trying to leave all at once. We did.a tasting and it was all really good. The two guys that helped us were very nice and super informative and even gave us samples of wines we were debating between. This place looked like it was a great wedding venue; Bay right outside the door and a large open space loft with an outside dining/drinking area.

Yelp
ONE STAR FOR HORRIBLE PLANNERS. Absolutely the most horrible communication!! Long story short, it was great in the beginning but as soon as we hired a wedding planner the contract was not upheld and JUDY ignored our and the wedding planner's emails. We put a deposit but changed our mind and decided to do a civil ceremony instead and that's when they started throwing shade. In the end, it was obvious they were trying to keep our deposit because they never responded to our email. We filed a dispute with our bank and I'm 100% sure when they noticed that, that's when their event planner finally (2 weeks later) emailed back with a lame excuse. Now, they're trying to get part of our deposit back. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND! People were already telling us that this place has gone down and broke but still wanted to check it out... worst decision to start off our wedding planning.

Gail N.

Yelp
Great wine. You have a choice of two flights; one is $10, the other is $15 or get both for $20. Should your Treasure Fest ticket or bracelet for $5 off the tasting. I had the San Francisco flight, plus the sparkling wine, Glitter, and the Cabernet, which is supposed to be the best under $25 cab in California. My favorites were the Glitter and the Zinfandel was amazing. The place is spacious, with seating outside and in. It can be very windy outside, but the views are worth it. Expect loud 80's music inside and a young, hip crowd. Plus, it's dog-friendly. Great place to bring friends and visit the other wineries next door.

Sammi C.

Yelp
Craig was a great host here at the Winery SF. Made us feel very comfortable and really enjoyed our time here! Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends!

Yelp
My husband and I got married at the Winery SF on Treasure Island in October of 2013, we chose the venue because we love wine, we met and have lived in San Francisco for 10 years and wanted a venue to feature the city by the bay that we fell in love in! The views were perfect, and our wedding pictures are the evidence to support that. We also felt for the size wedding we were hosting it was perfect - we had 100 guests, we were married outside with the view of the harbor and Bay Bridge and then were upstairs in the reserve barrel rooms, two rooms that flow well, for our cocktail hour, dinner and then dancing/reception. We had great lighting brought in to add to ambiance and we had the string lighting that the venue offers that is perfect for the feel of the barrel rooms. We felt the space was just right, we weren't crowded and also weren't lost in the space. One tip I do have to say is make sure you are detail oriented in the planning with the venue planners. I have been an event planner for ten years and found that to be extremely helpful since the venue planner was responsive, but didn't always make note of every detail, make sure to focus on the details leading up to your event and make sure to have a meeting to review eveything with them, the event manager I worked with is no longer at the venue so can't speak to the current staff, but just make sure to stay on top of things! Oh, and if you happen to prefer other beers over the ones that come in their package they are accomodating in substituting, overall their staff was very nice, when we first toured and returned for our food tasting, they're catering was great and they allowed us to bring in cupcakes, they were very flexible with vendors which was also very helpful! Also: Note that if you have an event in the Reserve Barrel rooms there is no elevator, so if anyone attending can't make it up a medium flight of stairs it may be difficult. I recommend the Winery SF for weddings or an event in the reserve barrel rooms, the rooms can really be made into whatever you want them to be and for a price that isn't INSANE (as far as weddings go)!

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Beautiful events space... I even flipped through the photo books that the bartender gave me. Apparently they have lots of wedding receptions and corporate events. There is lots of room to be creative, though the energy is kinda dead and eerie without anything going on downstairs. I came here for a retreat with some colleagues, and we had a blast with the wine tasting. The wine itself was hit or miss, but it was a decent experience. The bartender was a little apathetic at first but gradually taught us many facts about The Winery. Maybe he was fazed by the fact that they are apparently shutting down at the end of 2015. How sad. Anyways, there is plenty of furniture to sit and chill on upstairs. Honestly this is more of an events space than somewhere that you can casually stroll into and drink wine like we did. Everything worked out though.

Julia G.

Yelp
NO STARS if I could. We decided to cancel the membership over 6 months ago, because the wine is horrible and I called no less than 10 times to do so and no one answered the phone or returned my phone calls. They have continued to charge our credit card and we had to cancel it and change the number to stop them and then file a dispute for the charges for wine we tried to cancel months ago Awful company!!!!

Brian K.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of tasting some wine at this place after visiting the Treasure Island Flea Market for my first time. The beauty of that, of course, is that the flea market ends at 4pm, and this place is open until 6pm...or so I thought. My girlfriend and I walked in at 5pm, thinking we had an hour to taste wine. Because these guys are so committed to customer service, they served us, even though they were already closed. When we learned this, we quickly closed out and left, but we still appreciated them letting us stay as long as they did. The space is very nice. It's no wonder they host so many weddings and parties there. The wine is also very good, and it's served by friendly, knowledgeable people. And if you can tolerate the wind, the view of San Francisco's skyline just outside their doors simply can't be beat. If you're on Treasure Island or even just in San Francisco for the weekend, I would recommend stopping in.

Jadelann J.

Yelp
I was looking into different places to check out for 4th of July and I happened to stumble upon this place! Located in Treasure Island. It is definitely not hard to find! As soon as you start driving into Treasure Island you'll see the big building that says "Winery." For $20 we were able to taste a few different wines. I love the location of this place, but I'm not a big fan of their wine. I think $20 is over priced for the wine that they offer. If you wanted to try more wine after the 4 already provided it cost another $11 a glass. Anyways, we tried their Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Pinot Noir, People's Blend, Zinfandel and their Cabernet Sauvignon. Out of all 6 - I enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Cabernet Sauvignon. Aside from their tastings - they also provided free peanut butter tastings (which were pretty tasty. I ended up buying a couple jars) and also sold different types of food like pizza and bbq. Overall - I enjoyed the location and their decor. But I'm not sure if I would come back to do their tastings. Although it is a good location if you want to host an event.

Yelp
We had the happiest wedding day here, could not have been more perfect! The outside space for our ceremony near the water was breath-taking; beautiful views of the Bay Bridge. The inside space was totally transformed for our dinner and party, complete with colored lights, wine barrels, and farm tables. We ended up with about 95 people total, and the space was just the right size; big enough for everyone, but still felt intimate. The bartenders were fantastic, and made sure everyone got their drinks quickly. Another bonus would be how flexible the owners were, in terms of food and drink and timing; we got to hire our own caterer (a taco truck), choose the beer we liked, and party as late as we wanted. Most other venues we looked at were way more restrictive (and obviously didn't have the amazing views.) Thank you SF Winery for a perfect day!

Hannah H.

Yelp
This winery is so cute- I love the outdoor ambiance and the view. Both the servers were really nice and down to earth. We ended up splitting a tasting of all the wines they had for $15 (we had a $5 off coupon). Wow what a great deal, I think it's the most affordable winery on the island. Our favorite pour was the people's red blend. We will be back.

Sam B.

Yelp
What a nice place to do wine tasting! It's located on Treasure Island in an industrial-looking area. The design in the tasting room is beautiful. All they need is a nice little campfire in the middle to warm up the place. They have a small bar area. They had two people working the bar who were very knowledgeable about their wines. The great thing about this place is it's not crowded like Napa. They have a popcorn machine and toppings on the top to add it to your popcorn. The three of us decided to do the $20 flight of wine which included all items on the tasting menu, which meant we tasted 10 different wines. I bought 2 bottles of wine to take home which meant one of the tastings were comped, so I spent about $123 on three tastings and two bottles of wine. Nice service and nice wine.

Jessica B.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place for events or just a good time with friends. The staff is knowledgeable and professional, friendly and always helpful whether you're a wino or not. Great food, atmosphere and selection!!

Silvia M.

Yelp
The space itself is beautiful and the wine flights are very reasonably priced -- I got their Signature flight, 4 wines for $15. However, the service was sort of disappointing. I was with a group of friends for a birthday celebration and the celebrant had made reservations ahead of time. When we arrived he asked about his reservation and no table had actually been set aside for us, we were just told we could sit wherever. The bartender also wasn't particularly attentive.

Nique F.

Yelp
Start your day of Treasure Island wine tasting here! The Winery SF is hard to miss, with it's huge sign painted on top of an old naval hangar (I'm guessing). The downstairs is their barrel room / event space, and the upstairs is where the tasting & lounging happens. It has a sparse, sunny, urban loft feel to it...very spacious and inviting! Apparently they are dog-friendly too (as are most of the island's wineries). They don't do free tastings, but you can purchase a tasting flight of 4 wines for $10. If you buy 3 bottles, your tasting fee is waived. Naturally, we'd rather spend $50 on 3 bottles than $20 on 8 tastes, so the purchasing incentive worked for us. Plus, the wines are mostly great. They make a sparkling, chardonnay, viognier, sauv blanc, rose, pinot noir, grenache, and a bunch of red blends. Even if you just pay $10 to taste, the pours are pretty large (about 2 oz), so you end up drinking about a glass & a half in the end. In fact, you can order wines by the glass if you want to stay and relax on the white leather couches, and relish the feeling of being 'away from it all'. The tasting bar was full when we arrived, but the staff offered to bring our pours to us, while we sat in the lounge area. The vibe is mellow and unpretentious, with no pressure to buy. It made for a very luxurious start to our tasting day! We will definitely come back, especially when we have friends in town. The view of the bay, with both bridges in plain sight is one of the most unique settings in the Bay Area. You'll be snapping pics all over the place. They also host events, so if you want a "wine country" wedding but can't afford Napa, Winery SF is definitely worth a tour.

Elke M.

Yelp
Worst Customer Service EVER. I joined the wine club beginning of Sept. after doing a tasting. They forgot to give me a bottle of wine that I had paid for, and also forgot to refund my $10 tasting fee. To date, I have had 6 phone calls to this establishment, with a promise each time that they would credit me back the $10. It has never happened in the 3 weeks time since I joined. Needless to say I am cancelling my wine club membership immediately because dealing with such incompetence and the time I have wasted over a measly $10, is annoying to say the least!!

Mary S.

Yelp
I recently just had my wedding at this venue and it was everything I imagined it would be. We were looking for a modern venue with a rustic feel and this place was perfect. I had a few contacts when I first started wedding planning but Kara was the person who I ended up working with. She was good with answering all my questions and worked with me on my ideas...especially with having a circular shape for our ceremony versus the traditional 2 aisle. We loved that everything was in one location. We had our ceremony outside overlooking the harbor, the cocktail reception was in the loft area and the reception was on the crush floor (main barrel room). The Winery also had a great package which included most of everything you needed. We didn't order a dance floor and didn't need one. The Winery floor worked great with barrels outlining the dance floor. Having an open bar was affordable and we had a buffet instead of a plated meal. I definitely recommend having your wedding on a Sat (since I don't think there's a difference in cost to have it on a Fri). The traffic on the bridge on Fri was a bit chaotic so getting to our rehearsal was a little difficult. I recommend leaving for the venue early. Traffic on Sat for the wedding wasn't too bad. Overall the Winery helped us throw a GREAT party and everyone had a blast. I wish I could do it all over again :).

Yelp
Looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon on a lovely day? Well, you really can't beat strolling around the TI Flea Market and then walking a touch inland to relax with a bit of wine tasting at The Winery SF. Our little party of 4 and 1/2 (we had a tiny adult with us), walked into the enormous hangar-like tasting room after receiving BOGO coupons at the Treasure Island Flea Market. We had a great time chatting with the folks pouring, sitting at a little picnic table amidst all the wine barrels, and watching our littlest party member check out wine barrels outside. The wine was delicious and reasonably priced....what more can you ask for? For a great laid-back wine tasting experience, with cool diggs, great service, and on a super cool island, Yay! I'm a fan! Yelp 100 Challenge: 48/100

Yelp
Came here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Their tasting patio features a gorgeous view of the Bay. Sadly, however, their wine didn't do the rest of the experience justice. We tried the $10 tasting menu which featured two whites and two reds. I'm not a wine snob by any means, I can get down with a bottle to Two Buck Chuck, but two of these wines were very off putting (the sauvignon blanc and their "People's Blend" red). I was able to finish them (I mean it's alcohol, right?), but did not enjoy them. The other two wines were better, but not by much. A $10 tasting is still a really good deal regardless. I wouldn't recommend making The Winery your primary destination, but also wouldn't tell you to avoid it entirely if you're wandering around the island.

Pablo O.

Yelp
What to expect... heading out to hang out in the city with the view and a fine glass of wine. Customer service was poor ask for glasses got ignore also an hour goes by return for a second order with additional attitude. Food was alright nothing special. Would rather go somewhere else where my money is more valued and service is better.

Manuel D.

Yelp
Wow! Who would of thought this place was here. We came up here to walk through a little festival and with a little walk to set up a Uber pick up we came across this little place. Nice little intimate hang out with friend customers and friendly people that run this place. They were very attentive with everyone considering it was a little crowded. The wine was okay but it was the atmosphere they really made up for it...plus not sure who's playlist that was but the music was perfect. Thank you guys for a great time and can't wait to go back

Ally W.

Yelp
At first, I thought it was super-cool to attend a party here. Well, it was super-cool, but in the temperature sense. All the women were wearing dresses and freezing. The men were wearing jackets and pants and were cold too. Even in the bathroom, they did not have warm running water! The venue is a barrel room, so they must keep the temperature cold for all the wines in storage. Even with a warming fan, the staff pointed it toward one poor woman at the table next to ours, and her hair was flying everywhere throughout the night. During dinner, the food was sparse and came out cold, likely due to the cold room. The staff was inattentive -- it took then over an hour to refill our waters. When we asked for more bread, the venue ran out of bread. A woman at my table started eatting the butter because was no food left! Later in the evening, the venue ran out of hard liqueur. How can a winery run out of alcohol?! It seems like this is a common recurrence (see review from Yelper Nina Y.) Thankfully, the party itself was a lot of fun because of the great people, but I would not recommend using this venue for any party. 1 star off: no heat 1 star off: no warm running water 1 star off: no bread 1 star off: no alcohol ...kinda like the North Pole. Except the North Pole probably has more alcohol.

Yelp
Went to the Treasure Island Flea Market and got a good deal from Pinchit to check this place out +++DELICIOUS SYRAH. Love it. Spent $15 on their 8 flight tasting. YUM. ++ Employees are fun, friendly, and knowledgeable! + I never knew there were wineries here on T.I. Def comin' back again! + Great place for weddings I hear? + Layout is cool, I wanna come back at night! If you see a deal on Pinchit, GET IT!!!

Yi Z.

Yelp
I suspect the reason that The Winery always received such glowing reviews was due to the event space and ambiance because the wines are ok at best. As of a month ago, The Winery had to move out of their huge beautiful space to a much smaller shack next to the other wineries on California. This is a drastic downsize and the pizzazz is gone. Stripped of its signature venue, the question is - can The Winery truly flourish on the merits of its wines? There were two tasting choices, $10 and $15, depending on the combination of whites and reds and the quality. We both opted for the signature ($15), which came with one white wine and three red wines. They will waive the tasting fee if you buy 3 bottles. Instead of Chardonnay, I was thankful that we were offered Viognier as a substitution. The three reds tasted fine but none of them stood out to me. For better and cheaper wines, head over to Treasure Island Wines.

Yelp
The Winery SF is a really cool place. It's located on Treasure Island sharing a property with two other wine makers. The site includes bocce courts and an outdoor seating area with views of the City. Good place to bring a group. Regarding the wines, I was very happy with my Signature wine flight. Seemed like the wines were overall a good value. I'm a fan.

Rob M.

Yelp
Nice space. Good place for an event. Wine is sourced from different wineries, but still tastes good. Only one employee on a holiday weekend which was a little annoying but we managed to be taken care of just fine. :)

Ming C.

Yelp
Finally came here for a tasting while out at Opening Day event at the Treasure Island Sailing Center. The place is nice on a nice day, but because of where they are located, when conditions are bad it is strongly recommended that one avoid coming here. We were given the option of $10 for 4 tasting or $15 for all 8 tastings. We checked in with Foursquare and used their buy one tasting get one free. The wines were nice and crisp, just thought of it pricey from what we normally buy and their flavors didn't have a significant impression upon us.

Yelp
I love how easy it is to get to this place from the city. What a great way to relax for a bit in the afternoon on the weekends. This place and Vie are my favorites on Treasure Island. The Winery has great customer service and two different tasting menus to choose from.

Yelp
The location and atmosphere of these tasting rooms on Treasure Island is just fantastic. It's almost a hidden gem, but its slowly starting to be discovered. I came here last year on a holiday weekend and we were the only patrons, this year we were one of many - but still nothing compared to the typical SF crowds. You can tell this place would be a great event venue, and their music is always on point. There are 2 other wineries right next door, so its a solid way to spend a weekend. The wine here wasn't quite as good as the wineries next door, in my opinion, but the bottles are also slightly less expensive - so take your pick.

Yelp
My work held their annual holiday party here in the Reserve Barrel Room. This is a classy venue for a cocktail party! Big lofty rooms with wine barrels as decorations...can you say rustic chic? This room was big enough to hold about 100 people. Since the room naturally split into two smaller areas, the front room was used as a dining area with about 12 tables. Our dinner was a buffet and the caterers set up the buffet table right along the wine barrels. We had one table at a time go up to get food and it didn't create a terrible backlog. In the back room, there was enough space for a makeshift mini bar, karaoke machine, and a small area for a dance floor. There were many couches and small tables for people to lounge around with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Bathrooms were small (two stalls each for men and women) but it was clean and had plentiful toilet paper. I just wish it wasn't so drafty inside. Navigation can be a bit tricky at nighttime with construction on Treasure Island and a few detours. Keep these directions in mind: 1. Take the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island exit (the exit for Treasure Island will be on your left whether you're coming from SF or East Bay) 2. When you come down the hill toward the island, you will see The Winery in front of you (a 50 foot sign painted in dark lettering on the side of the building) 3. Continue straight past the security gate. 4. Make a right on California Avenue (the first street) 5. Go 500 ft. and make a right at the first driveway and park, there should be a sign pointing toward The Winery 6. The Winery is in the building on your left A couple additional things to note if you're planning a big event here: - It gets chilly! Their heating system didn't really work so they brought out some space heaters. We stayed in our coats for about half the party. - Staff wasn't really accommodating with the technical equipment...the cords for the heaters, microphones, and sound equipment were strewn down the hallway and floor making it a tripping hazard. - Thin walls meant we could hear another party's bass bumping through the floor from downstairs. Other than a couple hiccups, I really enjoyed my company party here and will come back to check The Winery out in the daytime. Maybe in summer during one of the Treasure Island Flea Market days?

Yelp
Nice location, could be beautiful. We drove by during Christmas week unfortunately it is closed.

Yelp
I came here on Saturday before attending a party on Treasure Island. I had their wine tasting and thought the flight was reasonably priced compared with Napa, but none of the wines were memorable. They have some interesting blends, but I was not impressed by their Cabernet Sauvignon. The location is really cool and I would love to throw a private party here. Unfortunately, the Winery doesn't serve any food. Their wines are reasonably priced and they will waive the cost of the tasting if you buy three bottles. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. I would recommend stopping by if you are ever on Treasure Island or want to get out of traffic on the Bay Bridge.

Yelp
4 solid stars! (1 extra star for being dog friendly!!) Originally, we decided to go to TI for the flea market. We got there a little too late and the vendors were cleaning up. We just decided to go wine tasting unplanned. We walked around and stumbled upon this hidden gem. I would definitely come back and enjoy TI and Wine. What a great combo! Winery Sf is such a cute place!

Yelp
My first time on Treasure Island...ever... and the first place we go to is The Winery, for the Spring Bazaar. It's a nice place, and you could hold all kinds of events and galas here. I like the upstairs chill spot where you could overlook the venue from above, plus the ambient lighting is perfect upstairs. Anyway, I didn't get to try their wines... Boo for me.

Yelp
Rude, and unaccomodating staff! Everything on Treasure Island is managed by SF Event Venues. I had set up an appointment to see SF Winery and Casa de la Vista in January last year. They were great at email communication and also followed up with a phone call prior to our visit. Treasure Island is a great place to have a wedding due to the views, and it does feel secluded, yet SF is in an arms length. We got a taste of the wine when we were waiting for their Event Coordinator...it's awful first off. Most people have their wedding in the Crush Room which was below the waiting area. We were told that wasn't an option for us due to our smaller size guest count (60 people). So, we went upstairs to see the Reserve Barrel Room. It was very plain and looked old. They also didn't offer the bride separate changing quarters. Just a small area behind the bathroom door with a partition..so pretty much anytime any woman wants to go to the bathroom, they would see the bride. GHETTO! The bathrooms were very old and a little dirty too. The plus with The Winery SF or any of their options on Treasure Island is their vendor list. We would be able to do our food truck theme that we wanted to do, since Off the Grid was listed as one vendor option. I also reminded her (the coordinator April) per our discussion that I wanted to see Casa de la Vista. She said she didn't have the keys and that our party was too small too as the minimum is like 100-150 people. WTF? What if we still wanted to pay for it? San Francisco Event Ventures, you guys need to learn manners and get some class. I wouldn't advise anyone to get married at any of their properties with their snobby stupid attitudes and AWFUL wine, no matter how pretty the views are. So glad we ended up not signing on with them.

Yelp
Checked it out for a holiday party. Nice arty non winery looking space and an enormous, cavernous space in the hangar with the barrels. At the end of the tour the guide (super nice, btw) indicated he was the winemaker! So, had to try the wine. I'm not a white wine drinker but his Marsanne was good. Petite sirah, very good. Cab, good. Rose', meh. Syrah, meh. They've got three labels so it's a bit confusing. Quality depends on your taste and which label you are trying. The police cars mentioned by the other writer are due to the fact that the treasure island police dept is across the street. So, get buzzed at your own risk.

Yelp
I stumbled into The Winery SF since I was already at the Treasure Island Flea Market and it's just a hop and a skip behind the hall. It was a beautiful day and what could be better than drinking a glass or wine in the sun?! My friend and I wandered over to the tasting bar and prices were decent for tastings ($10/$15) or just a glass ($5-$9). The bar is small and they were totally understaffed so it took quite a while to even get someones attention. The girls working weren't experts on customer service but doing the best they could. Once we ordered two glasses of wine it still took awhile for them to be poured. The wine itself was just OK. The Winery SF has a great space (my favorite part of going here)! It's a big warehouse/hanger building with barels lining the walls. Holding an event here would be really cool.

Yelp
Wonderful winery tucked amongst breathtaking scenery on Treasure Island. The wines are delicious and an outstanding value. (They're $17-45 a bottle with most falling in the $20-$25 range.) Their 2009 Cabernet is one of the best I've had. The team is friendly, knowlegeable, and generous with their pours! Ask them about the wine club- it's $50, 4 times a year, and you get 2-3 bottles each shipment at a discounted rate. I signed up on my first visit and have enjoyed free tastings, events, and discounts since then. To sum up: gorgeous backdrop, great staff, and lovely, low priced wine. What's not to love?

Yelp
The wines here were okay, but the venue was what really took it away. There was a large area inside stacked with barrels that really gave a nice feel to the place. There was also a smoker of sorts that blew artificially smoke to make the place smell like a campfire. It was actually pretty neat. There was outside seating as well. There was one flight for $10 or a premium flight for $15. You can also do both flights for $20. I did the $10 flight, and the wines were okay. The scenery of the bridge to Treasure Island and watching the sailboats right off the coast sail around added to an already pretty nice vibe at this place.

Yelp
First time at the Winery SF. Great location, Plenty of parking, had a blast! Thanks to Carlos for recommending the champagne add to the tasting! Will be back again!

Yelp
I have been a member of Winery SF for many years. Their sparkling wine, Glitter, is one of my favorites. Their other wines range from average to very good. And their customer service is usually exceptional. Today however I was met with possibly the rudest service I have ever received at any winery. My husband and I arrived at 12:15 on a sunny Sunday afternoon and walked into the newly redecorated tasting room. All the doors were open, the lights were on, music was blaring LOUDLY , but not a soul around. No sign on the counter saying "be right back" - just empty. After a couple of minutes and there was still no one around, I started looking to see if maybe there was someone working outside or upstairs. After calling upstairs for help, a blonde woman walks up from the back restroom area and greets me with an abrupt "do you have a problem?" No "sorry I'm here alone", or "sorry I was in the bathroom" or even "can I help you" - and no name tag to indicate she even worked there! Still not realizing she worked there I said I was there to pick up my wine club. She slipped behind the counter said she was in the bathroom and again asked if I had a problem. I explained I was looking for someone since there was no sign on the counter, she asked "why are you in a hurry?" Until that moment I did not have a problem nor was I in a hurry. In spite of this initial rudeness and terrible customer service, I opted to taste since I was already there. However her attitude continued to be abrupt so after 3 quick tastes, I got my 3 club wines, a few more of my favorite wines and left. One of the advantages of living in the Bay Area is that there are HUNDREDS of wineries within a one hour drive. After this TERRIBLE experience at The Winery SF, I am seriously considering cancelling my membership and joining another club where members are treated with respect and are appreciated for their loyalty and return business.

Yelp
Had a great time here yesterday. Parking was convenient. Stumbled upon a members' event by accident but was welcomed by the staff to join in nonetheless. Great group of people hanging out. Really happy that the place was dog-friendly! The wine tasting flight we did was a great value at just $15. Bottle prices range from about $20-$30. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Wine tastings are amazing here as a break from the Treasure Island Flea. For $21 you can try all their wines including their sparkling Chardonnay, Glitter. Not a huge white wine fan but I will say the Glitter is pretty great. Their reds are really great and their Zinfandel is off the charts, especially for the cost. Also, their pours are super generous so you can more than split a wine tasting between 2 people. Also, buy three bottles and the tasting is free.
