My parents in law came to visit from Arizona for my husband’s first birthday after being a dad. I booked this place because I know they are gonna love it. It’s casual but fine dining Frenchy style restaurant with a giant selection of wines, and of course they sell wines and offer wine tasting. The Wednesday wine tasting is only $15 per person with 4 different kinds of wines. I’m so jealous because I’m still breastfeeding I couldn’t drink yet. They chose a bottle of Chardonnay from the tasting menu and enjoyed it with the food. We did family sharing style for foods, breads with butter, bone marrow, duck salad, lamb dish and a chicken dish for entrees. All of them are very well made! The platings were beautiful and the meats cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. For desserts, we ordered a flan, they also gave us a free churro pudding dessert for birthday celebration. Both desserts are so delicious! I think the desserts were my favorites! Especially the churro pudding, the salted caramel is super yummy. The service was amazing, we felt very welcomed. I definitely super recommend this place!

I had such a wonderful time at The WineSellar & Brasserie!! 🥂✨ I started upstairs at the bar, where Lisa made me some of the best martinis I’ve ever had — crafted with fresh, vibrant ingredients. The Cucumber Martini, made with cucumber juice pressed fresh that morning, was so refreshing it felt healthy… even though I knew I was being a little bad. 😇🤣 In the background, you can actually see their vodkas infusing with real lemon and pineapple — such a gorgeous touch! The Lemon Drop tasted like the most perfectly ripe lemonade kissed with just the right amount of vodka. 🍋🍸 Afterwards, we sat down in the dining room for an amazing meal. The Lamb Shank literally fell off the bone, served with beautifully roasted root vegetables that were cooked to perfection. The Duck Two Ways was an elegant surprise — a melt-in-your-mouth confit alongside a leaner, juicy cut of the breast. And don’t even get me started on the scallops — absolutely decadent and impressively huge this season! From drinks to dishes to atmosphere, this place delivers on every level. Can’t wait to come back!

The owner Lisa and her staff were absolutely fantastic! My friend and I had dinner at the bar and had the best experience! Lisa made us her special seasonal cocktails and then we switched to wine with dinner. The wine selection is impressive! We shared several dishes and the food was delicious! 10/10 will definitely be back! Nice spot for a cozy dinner.

Google
It's kinda tucked away, so not a place you easily stumble across. But go out your way for the WineSellar. As the name suggests, they have an amazing wine selection, because they are also a wine store. But the food is absolutely exquisite. I would go as far as saying that it's among the best restaurants in San Diego. It's mostly French cuisine, but supplemented with some amazing other dishes. We love going there for the happy hour and hang out in the bar area, but it's also great for an evening of fine dining. The staff is fantastic. Very professional, but also very welcoming. We come here frequently, and will continue to do so!

Google
Incredible restaurant! It was our first time here and we loved it! Every dish was amazing and our server, Leslie, was incredibly attentive and gave great recommendations. We ended up having the tuna tartar, the escargot, lamb osso buco, and fish of the day (it was chilean seabass) and would highly recommend them all. At the end of our meal, the owner Lisa stopped by and said hello. Overall, the whole experience really made our birthday celebration so memorable. Thank you so much to everyone at WineSellar for a great night--we'll definitely be back!!

Google
Great food and service. Nice selection of wines. We enjoyed the beef carpaccio, escargot, duck two ways, and ribeye. Except quality and nice presentation.

Google
First time here and already making a reservation to come back. The food is incredible, they infuse their own vodkas and have different flavors like strawberry, peach and lemon. We loved our server Morro and manager Lisa! Can’t wait to come back!!!

Google
Excellent service. Extensive wine list, yet you can purchase a bottle at their store at retail price and drink it. Saving some money. Their corkage fee is also very reasonable. The cheese plate selection is not fantastic. The duck and lamb are very good. Incredibly, the potatoes and veggies were a miss. Very limited selection of digestives and dessert.

Yelp
Recently dined here with a friend and had a lovely experience. The food was good (especially the mushroom toast) and the service was excellent! Every single person who came to our table was friendly and helpful. Bonus, free and easy parking.

Saksit C.

Yelp
Fun, fun, fun. Great food with great wine pairings. If you like to drink and enjoy a fantastic dinner with a restaurant full of your newest friends, this is it!
google avatar

Yelp
Service is impeccable. If you have a wine locker, your first bottle of wine from your locker is free from corkage fee. Food is amazing. We brought a 1995 Chardonnay and the waitress opened it flawlessly. Will be back again.

Yelp
We had a perfect meal here. Everything was amazing Service was great! The Chilean Sea Bass was fantastic! The fish skin was crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. Highly recommend!

Kay C.

Yelp
Great food and attentive service with a great wine list as well. A hidden gem in the Sorrento Valley area.

Carol B.

Yelp
Delicious food and top-notch service. It is a place to go for a special night out celebration.

Yelp
One of San Diego's hidden wine and food gems. My wife came here with a group of friends and I tagged along. Absolutely fell in love with the wine, food, and amazing service. So much so that I joined their wine club, something that keeps paying off each month. They have many fun members nights, a great happy hour and did I mention amazing food and wine!! I highly recommend seeking this hidden gem out when you have a chance.

Yelp
Recently had dinner there at a private birthday function in their private dining room. Wine service was excellent, appetizers and meals were impressive, and everything was perfect! We met Gary Parker (the owner) who is a really nice guy! We will be back!

Yelp
Best wine and food pairing events! One of the only place in San Diego with wine and food pairing, like it should belong in Sonoma. We went to the staffs pick and got a 4 course food pairing with 7 wines. It was super good because we got 3 proteins! Started with an amuse bouche, then to a pan seared halibut, seared duck breast, 4oz filet, and ended with apple tartlet dessert. The proteins were excellent, it was like surf, fly and turf. The wines with the food was impeccable. Especially the Pinot with the duck. Amazing. And then the filet was cooked perfeeeeectly! Like perfectly medium rare and no gray meat. The chimichurri on it was amazing. The whole food experience was excellent. We love it and will be coming for their monthly wine and food pairing. They do such a great job.
google avatar

Anida M.

Yelp
I love this place for happy hour, but they also have awesome dinner dishes (although a lot pricier than it used to be)! My go to is their mushroom toast, which is super rich and flavorful! I went recently for dinner and had their fish special of the day, which was a Chilean sea bass with a lemon caper sauce.. AMAZING! I wish my stomach could fit more food! I was also able to taste their ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and had a really yummy sauce. To end, we went a little crazy and ordered three desserts! The creme brûlée was delicious, flourless chocolate cake was rich and super yum, and the profiteroles were just okay. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Deliciousness!! Especially during Happy Hour. Great friendly service sitting at the bar watching the kitchen and their gorgeous presentations come out.

Yelp
A hidden gem with delicious food. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. Excellent wine selection. I will definitely be back on special occasions.

Yelp
It's been forever since I've eaten at the WineSellar but it's always been incredible and it such an unexpected location. Always a treat to take someone who has never been.

Yelp
Found this place through their downstairs Wineseller. Came back for their French cuisine and it was the most tender duck I've ever had! My girlfriend had ribeye and it was equally delicious. We also had tiramisu and wine afterwards. Would come again for fine dining experience! This place definitely seems to be for older crowds though. I think me and my friend were the only people of color there

Yelp
Lovely evening, superb service, wine that was absolutely a treat, and delicious food. We really need to enjoy this restaurant more often.., Our only complaint was that the overhead lights were too bright; the ambience could have been enhanced with more candlelight and less LED ceiling light.

Yelp
Was looking for a quality restaurant to celebrate birthdays with my best friend, who was born a week before I was. I wanted to find a place that would take a reservation for lunch, that was in between his home in Rancho Bernardo and my home in La Jolla, and where we could enjoy some really good food in a relaxed setting. The WineSellar & Brasserie was my choice, and it turned out to be perfect in every way. First, let me say that I'm really glad these guys are still in business -- the last time I had dinner here was maybe 30 years ago, when my company treated the executive team to a special dinner. I waited way too long to return. We each ordered a glass of red wine -- a Bordeaux for my friend and a Burgundy for me -- and the server brought out some very tasty (and warm) bread with butter. I ordered the lobster bisque (excellent!) and the sea bass entree (also excellent!), and my friend ordered foie gras and the same sea bass entree. The food was top notch -- truly excellent -- and a good value for the high quality. We took our time -- we had lots of catching up to do -- and our server never rushed us. Service was perfect. My only regret is that my last meal here was 30 years ago. I'll be back again MUCH sooner next time. An easy 5 stars.

Nic C.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food here but the service was really lacking. The waiter ignored us for about 20 minutes before taking our order and then for a party of 6 slapped a mandatory 20% gratuity after doing a pretty half assed job as a waiter. The other dishonest thing is the wine store below. You're paying a markup for buying their wine and then you get hit with a $15 corkage fee and then on top of that 20% gratuity gets added on top of corkage, tax, and price of the bottle. Let's face it nobody is buying wine here to go.

Steve C.

Yelp
Had a nice meal a while back. French-style menu seems simple and classic, but executed excellently. Great service and experience

Yelp
This was one of the best meals I have had in San Diego. If you're in the UTC, Mira Mesa area and want an excellent meal, I highly recommend The WineSellar. Everything was absolutely delicious from the appetizer to the dessert. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
We were lucky enough to get a table for the Steve Clifton wine dinner at WineSellar. Every bit of our evening was outstanding! We got there fairly early and had a glass of wine and cocktail at the bar. It's so nice to have a selection for non-wine drinkers. We moved to our table for the dinner. We started with an introduction from the winemaker and a walk through of the wines we would be tasting. Every single course was paired with perfection! Everyone was so nice and we felt very welcomed by the whole staff. Can't wait for the next one!
google avatar

Yelp
In my opinion, the WineSellar is one of the best restaurants in San Diego. It's in a bit of an odd spot (on a business park), so your first thought may not be that you'd find a phenomenal restaurant there, but don't be discouraged by the location, it's a must-visit! It's mostly French inspired cuisine at a very high quality. I'm European and a bit of a snob, so I'd like to think that means something, haha. Since it's also a wine store, they have an exceptional wine list. The staff is very professional and approachable, so every time I've been there, it has been a top-notch dinner experience.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in a nondescript business center. Incredible wine selection. My OldFashion was one of the best I've had. The caperese salad was spot on. The duck was fabulous the scallops fantastic. The crème brûlée simply delicious. Good service. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Alexandra D.

Yelp
The restaurant is tucked away in a business complex, not visible from the main street and they get packed so there's definitely a lot of word of mouth business, which is also how I found it. The food and service were outstanding. They do not let your water glass go empty! The bread served tasted like it was right out of the oven and the rest of the food to follow was very delicious. So much so that I returned the following week for the short rib because the first time I couldn't decide between that and the rib eye steak. Both were good but I preferred the steak. It was cooked perfectly and included potato and vegetables. The short rib came with mashed potato and vegetables. I usually always have dessert but didn't here because I was too full both times.

Yelp
The fact that this restaurant was located in an office park was always odd, but I do lament not having made my way out to this establishment sooner. Covid-19 dining for happy hour on a Friday presented us with a makeshift set up for their Casual Side Bar in the form of bar tables and chairs against the windows just outside their main doors. The white-clothed tables were otherwise reserved for normal dinner service only. For three people, we did need to combine two tables to create a space capable of handling the multitude of food items and drinks our ravenous bellies had plans on devouring. HH is Tuesday through Friday from 4-7pm, but all night on Friday. So, Friday's special was BOGO for any martini listed on the menu. In addition to that, it was $2 off the tapas menu and $1 off any cocktail or beer. Following our festival of gluttony, I can declare the two most recommended food items as the *Short Rib Sliders* (3 for $8) and the *House-made Gnocchi* ($13). The three sliders -- which initially appeared "small-ish" -- on their own are a meal for one. The beef was dripping with flavor, literally; our hands were coated in that delectable juice. The gnocchi with the vegetables brunois, parmigiano-reggiano, and bordelaise were tantalizingly rich. The soft dough dumplings were playfully chewy and the swirl of funky cheese and sweet red wine glace were heavenly. The *Artisanal Cheese Platter* was also relished in earnest however, I wish the server were more apt about naming off our cheeses. She took wild -- but with an educated effort -- guesses when we inquired about their true identities. As for the drinks, their Margarita was refreshing; perfect for these hotter summer days. As for the martinis, they have all kinds, but I always forget why I don't like them much until I have one again. Most people seem to enjoy the martinis here, but they are otherwise, personally, not my jam. If ever there were a restaurant where one could wine and dine in a sophisticated setting, but have the option for a casual Friday after-work sip and savor session, the Winesellar could serve as ones ideal respite.

Yelp
A little gem that is kind of hidden in Miramesa. A special occasion type of restaurant. The prices are good.. Service attentive

Josh ..

Yelp
The food is beyond excellent. We got the sea bass and the lamb chops. Both tasted heavenly. I highly recommend this restaurant as a classy date spot for anyone in town. I can't wait to go again

Yelp
Cozy ambiance and gourmet snacks. Wide selection and variety of wines with knowledgeable staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Stellar service and amazing cuisine. Great night overall. Thought I was just going to have dinner but ended up buying a bunch of wine based on what I sampled during dinner - definitely the way to buy wine versus just picking from a random pretty label.
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
Deliciously old-fashioned, the exact opposite of trendiness, which is a welcome change. The location of the restaurant in an office park makes for an adventure, especially if you visit on a Saturday when the entire business park area is one vast ghost-town. I have dined at The WineSeller Brasserie three times, and somehow the wine list, which is very good, now seems smaller and less comprehensive than when I first visited. I suggest you order a grand Bordeaux or Burgundy, as the prices of these wines are relatively reasonable and they are often not available at other restaurants. In the early part of the evening, service can be good. However, as more diners arrive, it becomes evident the staff is spread too thin.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
Talk about your hidden gems! A very good friend invited me for a glass of wine. Like everyone has written, it's in a business area so you wouldn't just notice it passing by. There is quite a bit of parking but if you are driving anything bigger than a Prius, it's going to be tight. I arrived a little early so I could check out their wines. The downstairs is the wine store and the other half is a wine bar. They seem to have quite a few events as the wine bar was full that night and the people seem to be having a great time. I'm going to have to come back for one of these events. They had a modest selection of wines of which later I would find are excellent wines. The upstairs is the dining area which is very nice! Very comfortable tables, nice linens, tableware and wine glasses. We were seated and the sommelier, Morro, came by and made some wine suggestions to get us started. I was given a glass of the Hope & Grace Cabernet and can only say I've found my new favorite Cab. The cuisine is French and we started off with an appetizer of Mushroom Toast which is a thick piece of bread like French toast and it's smothered in a cream sauce with mushrooms and thyme. HIGHLY recommend this treat. We also started off with the Strawberry Salad, topped with strawberries, goat cheese toasted pistachios and a champagne vinaigrette. Very fresh and also quite delicious. For the main course, I had the NY Steak (medium) which came with a side of bone marrow and topped with herb potatoes, carrots and a demi glaze. The meat was extremely tender and cooked to perfection. My friend had the Scallops and I am certain I will order them on my next trip back here. I was so impressed by the Hope & Grace Cab, I had that with my meal as well. There is no way I'm going to pass up dessert in such a fine place and rarely do I do a dessert wine, but Morro's recommendation's were flawless. My friend had the fresh ice cream and I had the apple pie. Morro suggested two wines for the dessert and while both were delicious, there was one that was a bit richer and was a perfect pair with the apple pie. The fragrance alone from the wine was intoxicating! I love going to a place where I don't have to figure out which wine will go best with what I'm having. My only regret is not having found this place sooner. If you enjoy incredible food served in the perfect ambiance by people who really care about what they do, I HIGHLY recommend this place. Also, check out their events. I haven't been to any of them... yet. But I plant to go to one soon since they are so close to where I live. I can't recommend this place enough.
google avatar

Ronald T.

Yelp
When you are comfortable enough to go dining, go here! They have a nice outdoor area and their indoor bar area is very spacious. Customer service from the bar is great! Very friendly and accommodating to recommendations. Okay, truth be told, the dining area is too expensive to come once or twice a month. However, the bar area has spectacular foooooood for the often visits. 5 stars all the way from the: 1. Cocktails 2. Drinks 3. Food 4. Service 5. Atmosphere See the pics for the quality food. Not one thing on the menu was sub par. ALL items we have tried was great!

Joe I.

Yelp
We have eaten there over 4 times and just became wine club members after driving by this location for years. You can see the sign off of Mira Mesa Blvd. and finally ventured down to the restaurant and wine store. SHHH! It's the best kept secret.
google avatar

Carol B.

Yelp
Outstanding dinner for my group. The ambiance was well received after a long day of meetings. Staff was attentive and informative. Everyone enjoyed their meals and were stuffed before the option to have dessert! My group wants to come back again soon! Staff was very conscientious about Covid and made everyone feel welcome.

Yelp
Came here for Valentine's Day with our reservation at 7:15p! Wow, this place is BOOKED. Downstairs is a wine shop and bar, while upstairs is the actual restaurant. The ambiance is pretty romantic, fancy, lavish. There's also plenty of parking, so there's no possibility of a ruined date (unless you didn't make a reservation). The only weird thing about this place is that it's in a corporate building. I gotta say, their complimentary bread is amazing. It's warm and fluffy with the right amount of moistness. They even gave each of us a pretty big chunk (I don't think it's small enough to be called a slice) with soft butter, and we ate it all. For appetizers, we shared the MUSHROOM TOAST. We actually had second thoughts on ordering this when we received the complimentary bread, but had no regrets when eating this. The mushroom toast was amazing. Think garlic bread but extra garlicky and buttery without feeling the gross effects. On top of that there was a was a creamy mushroom sauce. We made sure we scrubbed the entire plate clean with our toast, which, by the way, was thick and crunchy enough that it doesn't get soggy. For shared entrees, we first got the MUSHROOM RISOTTO. Strangely, I am obsessed with risotto after watching 10+ seasons of Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen (and can't make it myself). This risotto was really creamy yet the grains had that al dente texture. The mushroom flavor was good, but I guess it could've been stronger. Perhaps pancetta would've been a good addition if the plate wasn't Vegetarian (haha we actually tried adding pancetta from our scallop dish but the flavors clashed). Our second entree was the DIVER SCALLOPS, and those were some mighty delicious scallops. They were seared really well, and my initial reaction was, "Woah." It came with 4 medium-sized scallops, so we each ate 2. The stuff that complemented the scallops were a good balance, but they always put the seafood in the spotlight. Nice.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Somewhere between hearty and sophisticated, the cuisine fills you up and delights the palate. The pricing reflects that sophistication; a meal for two ran me $80. I got the tuna tartare, two-way duck, and gnocchi. I liked the duck best, but all three were tasty and well prepared. I got a to-go order (pandemic style) and immediately tucked in in my car. The gnocchi, which I recommend even though it was softer than I like (note please that I like my gnocchi chewier than is considered correct), was so fresh and hot that I stripped off my shirt so I could keep eating through the sweat. I think I was parked far enough away from any wandering eyes, but if not...... they're welcome. The duck was well paired with a madeira sauce and creamy sweet potato purée. I especially appreciated the crisp skin on the duck. I don't know what else to say; just get it. The tartare was less my favorite, but I really only bought it for my parents because tartare isn't something I tend to like anyway. The downstairs ambiance was endearingly disjointed. The whole store feels like the some college student with an extreme passion broke down all but the load-bearing walls in a dorm (or more probably here, in an office) and put as many wine racks as possible in the space. Part of the floor area is occupied by a motley crew of comfortable but entirely unmatched seats. I love it. It really exudes this sense that what matters to the purveyors is the product, not its wrappings. However, the food still has beautiful presentation, even in the to-go containers, and I didn't go upstairs, so I can't comment on the dining area: it may be more cohesive.

S P.

Yelp
First time back dining in since the pandemic. We picked up and brought food home during the pandemic but it wasn't the same. I am happy to report that this restaurant and the evening was wonderful! Thank you all for taking such good care of us for our birthday meal. The mushroom toast is a treat for the tastebuds - so decadent! The dry aged rib-eye was so delicious. And dessert was perfect. The wine that was suggested by our waiter was perfect! The entire meal was like dining in a restaurant in France. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to dine out again in such an elegant atmosphere - even in the outside tent. The attention to detail made for a lovely evening. The food and wine were wonderful. It was also nice to see the same servers and familiar faces in the shop. We will be coming back again!

Suzanna L.

Yelp
The ambiance is super romantico but there are groups of diners as well as couples. There is also a range in attire- from sharply dressed to T-shirts (perhaps of the free variety). The escargot was pretty good, you can't go wrong with dunking anything in a ton of melted butter. They weren't served in those fake snail shells, which didn't bother me at all. The server made sure that I was aware that the duck is served medium rare, but, honestly, I was a bit alarmed at the amount of pink I saw in the meat. I'm not used to eating it medium rare, I guess. It was quite chewy actually and was the worst part of the meal. Do not order the duck (but it might be less chewy if they cooked it more, I think). The creme brulee was nicely bruleed. The food was more of a 3.5 but service was nice. I don't know anything about wine, so I couldn't even tell you what I drank and what notes of what fruit it had the essence of.

Yelp
I went here for lunch with some colleagues .. first, WineSellar is so underrated, i literally work a block from this place and I finally went because of a vendor lunch. OMG it was AMAZING!!!! I had the fish lunch and it was sooooo gooooooood. I can't even explain how great this place is. The server was tentative they gave us free bread. I didn't have a chance to drink wine but trust me.. if i did, i am sure they would have paired my meal perfectly. Seriously, this place is so underrated. Their restaurant is something i would find in little Italy and yet it's in the commercial area of Sorrento Valley.
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
This restaurant is excellent. My wife and I have been to Europe many times, and the food here is just as good or even better than a French restaurant in Paris The wine and the escargot we're outstanding, but beyond anything I have ever had in Paris, the mushroom toast was sensational.
google avatar

Jeff M.

Yelp
Excellent, excellent meal. In a very weird location that's not easy to find without GPS but the food is outstanding. One of the best pieces of chicken I've ever tasted. Also like how they set up the outdoor dining. It in no way shape or form felt like we were eating in a parking lot. Service was spectacular, right along with the food. We had escargot which my Mom thought was the best she'd ever had. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This restaurant continues to amaze and impress us with their excellently prepared food, beautiful ambiance, great service, their attention to detail and their fair prices. We've been coming here for years and ordered off their regular menu, enjoyed their wine pairings dinners, as well as their 3- course pre-fixed dinners and they never disappoint. We went for their 3-course dinner last night. My husband had their gazpacho soup done two ways and I had their heirloom tomato salad with burrata cheese for their first course and both were delicious. Then we had the beef tenderloin which was very tender and served with a wonderful sauce and assorted vegetables and then finished off our meal with a decadently delicious chocolate dessert. A perfect meal! Plus, we love they give you the option of choosing a bottle of wine in their wine store downstairs and only charge a $15 corkage fee. So if you're looking for a classy sophisticated restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place should be more busy on a Friday night. I don't know if it's because of the location in a business building but when you walk upstairs into the dining area you will be very impressed. It's a cute intimate French restaurant. They use quality ingredients and everything I've had had been flavorful and cooked well. The plus side it's close to home. Come check it out if you haven't done so. You will be pleasantly happy and your belly will thank you.

Yelp
I've always been curious about the WineSeller after working in the area. It's nestled in an industrial park in Sorrento Valley. I finally got an opportunity and joined my girlfriend at Happy Hour for her birthday. We met for drinks in the bar just past the wine shop. They had a nice variety of wines available by the glass and also several different local craft beers. The server was friendly and recommended a few whites before I chose their house Chardonnay, buttery and fruity. I enjoyed it very much. I also ordered bread w butter and short rib slider tapas. The sliders we good, but small. But what do you expect for $5. At Happy Hour the tapas are $2 off and all drinks are $1 off. There was a huge variety of wines for purchase in the shop, as well as wine paraphernalia. I will have to return to try the restaurant. Having been around almost 30 years they must be good!

Yelp
Excellent place , buy your wine at their store and have with your meal . Prices fair and their quality is above most restaurants in San Diego , not a fancy location but it isn't bad . Parking is easy , my top 5 places in San Diego definitely. Service is great too

Yelp
Absolutely best wine bar/store/restaurant in town with the friendliest staff that always treats you like family. Come often, let them learn about your preferences and they will always recommend the right bottle or glass for you. The special events, like today's Blind Cabernet tasting, are always a treat. Thank you all for being amazing! Oh, I should also mention that they are doing a great job with COVID-19 safety. I trust very view restaurants and retail establishments right now but Winesellar is doing it right!

Yelp
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with friends here and the 1st and 2nd courses were fabulous. The pear salad and butternut squash soup did not disappoint. The Chilean Sea Bass and the venison were delicious and the sides were up to their supporting roles. Deserts were a total disappointment. The white chocolate mousse was tasteless and could have come from any store bought pudding. All that for $75 plus drinks. Nah. I would pass on this three course meal and go elsewhere for this kind of tab.

Yelp
Alas the heyday of this once great brasserie has come and gone. It's time for this relic to close its doors. The food has gone downhill very fast since the pandemic, staff is just insufferable and it seems like the owner just has no clue what's going on in the marketplace and how to make it work. Take a pass on this and almost everything in Sorrento Mesa. That whole area needs to reinvent itself and from what I hear it's coming this spring and summer.

Yelp
While this was our first visit and we could only sit outside on the temporary patio, we absolutely loved this restaurant and look forward to returning! We chose to do the 5 course Chef's Mercy with the optional wine pairing. The chef accommodated our request for a gluten free pescatarian offering and completely amazed us. The food was incredible! The wine pairings were perfect, too. Our server Tom made the entire evening perfect. He let us guess each wine pairing, giving us hints along the way. We enjoyed his knowledge of wine and general conversation immensely! We hope to come back for a visit to the wine shop too... the wine selection was fabulous!

Yelp
Completely unassuming bland location with outstanding food! When my friend said let's meet for dinner in Sorrento Valley I (like many) said hmmm ok? This place is tucked away in a business park. Signs make it easy to find. At first you see a wine shop and next door a casual bar area...I thought this was the restaurant at first. Then my friend led me upstairs to a lovely elegant dining room. What a pleasant surprise! Food was amazing! I ordered the lamb chops and my friend got the salmon. Both cooked to perfection served on a bed of cooked mushrooms and barley. The flavors were out of this world. We also enjoyed some appetizers...the Foie Gras, carrot soup and citrus salad. Finished our meal with this chocolate peanut butter torte with delicate lavendar flavors! Totally impressed by this place. Service was great they did a great job pairing wine with our meals. We had the perfect seat in the house a corner booth I would definitely request this table again! Great place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or for a date night! Great atmosphere, quiet, sophisticated and great lighting! ps- ladies use the restroom downstairs before going up to the dining room.

Yelp
Came here from North County. The wine flight Wednesday was a good deal. Their happy hour menu is small but all taste great. Hamachi Cudro salad and mushroom toast are best. Their main dish was a little too salty and pricey.
