"Reopening Wednesday, September 16 after a short revamp, The Wise Ox Butcher & Eatery—now under the Trust Restaurant Group umbrella and replacing The Heart & Trotter on El Cajon Boulevard—will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The shop stocks a full range of meats, from prime beef to heritage pork and free-range chicken, and will feature marinated cuts, fresh sausages, and a monthly butcher box option (over 10 pounds of meat from a rotating selection) available at a lower membership rate. Gourmet market goods and prepared foods include bottles of wine and beer, fresh pasta and sauce, chicken salad, housemade bread and butter pickles, and the popular chicken liver mousse off the Trust menu.
