This little family restaurant is quite the place, great food, very friendly service, and people that actually enjoy their job! If you are looking for a place that serves fried chicken, as well as many other delectable choices, I highly suggest that this be a place that you stop! Family owned 30+ years, I was blown away by how friendly they were!

I am not even done with my meal and i love this place so much. From the homey and warm welcome in to the exemplary service and food, this is a MUST. You cannot live up here and not go. I delayed too long and regret it. This place is such a gem. The breading on the fried pickles, the chicken. All of it. Top notch. The service, is so friendly and cozy. I am grateful!

Came here for lunch after some locals were insistent on the fried chicken. It's an old fashioned diner that's been around the 60's so I was a little hesitant. It was peak lunch time and busy, but there were some open tables. Server was friendly and helpful. She asked if it was anyone's first time so could make some recommendations. She recommended the fried chicken just like my local counterparts. Too everyone's advice and ordered a combo plate of fried chicken and fried shrimp. After about 10 minutes, I learned they were absolutely correct. Fried chicken is a common dish, but they perfected it. Very crispy on the outside, yet very juicy on the outside and flavorful throughout. The gravy that comes with it was perfect for dunking. It was 3 generous portions that came with a choice of potatoes and a starter garden salad. Finished the meal with a small cup of pineapple coconut ice cream. Old school diner serving up amazing food. I know why it's highly recommended and has been around for over 60 years.

Everyone we interacted with at this restaurant was very friendly and super kind. I got the all dark 4 peice and enjoyed it a lot! My guest ordered the Philly which was also very delicious.

So refreshing to escape the gerbil wheel of franchise restaurants and find a reliable place to eat where the people are pleasant, the food is delicious, and the prices are ultra reasonable. I think it was worth trading a couple of sticky spots on the table for a place that's family-friendly, while still supporting a small family-owned single location business. I had a delicious turkey dinner with all the fixin's and a cup of split pea soup with big pieces of incredibly tender and delicious ham. Highly recommend!!!

Nice open well lighted dinning place. Old fashion dinning experience with good fried chickens and fries. Nothing fancy but the seasoning is nicely cut back to preserve the natural tastes unlike the majority of modern eatery's over salt, over sugared and over-everything seasoning. It's extremely hard to find restaurant that is stay true to right seasoning. Friday special BBQ pork ribs and their usual fried chicken were quit good. Some Texas toasts were a bit over cooked too burnt, some were just right. Big parking lot with extra long parking spot meant you extended length vehicle comfortably occupies just a single spot!! Dedicated takeout order parking with windows nearby show how often takeout order been served plus the normal dine in customers.

The dining experience was old-fashioned and delicious, with options like fried chicken, fish and steak every meal comes with two sides. The service was outstanding, thanks to our friendly and helpful waitress.

The fried chicken was good but did not meet the expectations that had built up. It was solid just not the same as in the south. Everyone we encountered was friendly, fun and efficient! Our server did a great job without being over bearing. My only real complaint was the smell of the frying grease, it was as if the hoods were not being used. I do not enjoy leaving a restaurant smelling like the food. I absolutely will try again as this was the first visit. I usually give a restaurant 2 or 3 tries if not content with the first visit.

We enjoy eating at Wishbone Family Restaurant, because of the fact that there's so many different varieties of plates that we can order. The food always comes out hot. There's plenty of food on the plates to enjoy even a salad is amazing at wishbone. Service is always amazing. The ladies know exactly what they're doing and I appreciate them And we love that it's just so quiet and comfortable in there when we go to enjoy our dinners they take very good care of us and we appreciate that bathrooms are clean easy entrance for handicap. Wishbone Family Restaurant has the best Chicken Salad Sandwich that I have ever had. It is thick and extremely delicious. Loved the Hostess. Very Helpful.

Not fine dining but a well-established venue that cooks its menu well. Enjoyable. Staff is good as well.

Good chicken and good prices. We like getting the family meal deals. It's always nice to have a great little local family restaurant nearby for when you feel like getting take out!

My husband and I love visiting wishbone for their comfort food, esp fried chicken - yes. It's really really good. Wishbone has very homey, family run diner style feels and service too which adds a nice touch

Food has declined. Gravy was flavorless like it's been watered down. Chicken seemed to lack flavor too. French fries were ok. It's not the same wishbone from years ago. I understand things cost more now a days too, but with how cheap the meal tastes not worth price points.

Wishbone is my go to whenever I am craving Fried Chicken. They fried chicken is so crispy and the meat inside is yet so juicy. They won't tell me their secret, but whatever it is...it's working! This is a popular spot for the locals...young and old. Great pricing, prompt service, and delicious consistent food! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and just has a great ambiance overall.

Some of the best fried chicken(juicy) around town. Everything was good. Enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy. Corn stuffing was pretty good (some of it a bit dry though). Probably pass on the zucchini sticks next time. Prefer the zucchini to a be little thicker and less watery. It was still pretty good though. Good ranch dressing that came with it. Tastes more home made. Creamy rice chicken soup is excellent. Definitely get some of that to go! Good service.

I was so excited to try wishbone bc it had so many good reviews but honestly I was disappointed. The food was average, not bad, but not as good as I hoped. The chicken was bland but the sides were tasty. The service was great even though we did take out. When we went to get our food it was clean and everyone was helpful. Seemed like a good family place!

Wishbone is fabulous. With so many chicken places everywhere, what makes Wishbone stand out is fantastic fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the chicken gravy is its own food group! I don't even live in Colorado, but when I visit, I eat at Wishbone! Family friendly, great service, clean, food is so good, prices are like everywhere-costs are up. But you won't be sad you chose Wishbone's!!

I have to say this was a lovely experience. I grew up around here and the last time I was in was probably 25 years ago. My mom loves fried chicken and really wanted to go in but it was going to be 20 minutes before they closed so I wanted to call to make sure we wouldn't be rude. The nicest gentleman answered and said, " Of course not, darlin' come on in". The service was excellent; they were so sweet to my mom who just had hip replacement surgery. They sat us in a booth convenient for her. They didn't rush us. I am a salad person and the dressings were homemade and delicious! They use buttermilk in their ranch dressing and the blue cheese has nice chunks of blue cheese. The shrimp were huge and I should have just gotten three. They were delicious. Both gravies were very flavorful despite other reviews. The mashed potatoes seemed riced to me not boxed. My boyfriend liked his chicken fried steak and mom loved her chicken. The food and service were lovely and we will be back for sure!

Maybe it's past its prime here. The staff is really friendly however the dust on all of the decor, sticky tables was not as appetizing. My biggest thing was the food tasted extremely blend. The mash potatoes were definitely instant potatoes. The yellow gravy is not everyone's cup of tea so I won't be going into details of it. (Since I haven't had that before in my life. I don't know what it's supposed to taste like) Back to the food though; you get better quality of chicken at Popeyes. If you do end up here go for the coconut shrimp.

Food is consistently good. The restaurant was packed today and service was still not bad. We come here about once a month. They have a very large menu. Chicken is definitely their strong suit!

First time eating dinner here! Wow the food was delicious. I order the #25 Shrimp & chicken w/ salad , gravy , bake potato , texas toast & ice tea. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. I will definitely be back as a regular customer. This makes my top 10 list of all of the restaurants I enjoy eating around Colorado.

I love every single thing about this place. The service is great. The chicken is exactly as it should be. Everyone is so nice. You just feel like you're home.

I had not been to this establishment in a few years. I happened to be in the neighborhood and just had to pay a visit. The friendly atmosphere is very inviting. I had the pleasure of meeting the granddaughter of the original owners and she was very engaging. I must say I was a little disappointed in the taste of the chicken as it wasn't seasoned and when I asked if the mashed potatoes had gravy I was told no but they had gravy for sale in which I bought a small tub to my dismay after opening the mashed potatoes there was gravy on it. These are not a turn off mind you. They also give military discounts.

Our family has been coming here for over 50 years, we love that there recipes have not changed and they've added to their menu over the years in a positive way, always friendly staff. The owner is always a delight, walks around greeting and remembers our names which is always a plus! they have the best chicken in Colorado hands down. We also tried the fish and chips for the first time this time around, my mom loved them. She'll definitely be back for those again, you have to try dipping your fries in their gravy. They have the best chicken gravy to go with the best breading on their chicken, we always leave in a food coma! This is the best family friendly establishment.

Very friendly place. Waitstaff is very attentive. Eating a meal here gives you that home cookin feeling. Ordered the chicken fried chicken and i was not disappointed. I devoured it. Plenty of food in this order. Comes with veggie, salad or soup and choice of potato. Side of gravy and honey mustard sauce. Restaurant was very busy and louder than expected but could have been due to location being right in center of room. Bathrooms were clean but had a funky odor to it (no not trying to be funny). Still a good restaurant to go to. I will be back.

Family Diner goodness!! Wife and I found this gem recently and are we glad we did! Everything was cooked perfectly, even the grilled ham and cheese, and the service was extraordinary. Both attentive and kind. Great place!

Came here with my mother in law as she heard it was good. I ordered the pork chops and they were dry and very hard to cut. The green beans seemed like they were out of the can. My mother in law had the trout and she said it was dry and not very tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful, but because of the food I wouldn't go back.

This place is awesome. Good home cooking for a good price. I love they don't serve alcohol and bring drinks out in hard plastic Big Gulp cups. Everything is good! Ambiance is not great but hey keep prices low and I don't care what it looks like. Also their Togo soups are great. Mondays Chicken & Rice is life changing, seriously!

My nana loves this place I can't seem to understand why. I ordered over the phone and they seemed rude and impatient. I came in to pay and grab my food after 30 minutes, they told me the food would be ready in 20. I asked about how much longer politely, but when the girl at the front desk seemed a bit irritated by my question I told her not to worry about it. When I was paying for my food I tried to tap and the girl snatched the card out of my hand and said it didn't tap and inserted the chip. The decor in the restaurant was a bit tacky in my opinion. Maybe I don't get the decor scheme but either way I'm not a fan. As far as food goes I wouldn't know how it tasted because they left out part of my order. Breasts cost more than any other piece of chicken. We ordered a breast, 6 legs, and 12 wings. They gave us 12 wings and 7 legs. After driving 30 minutes home in traffic I discovered the missing breast and called them. I asked for a refund because they told me they "owed me a breast" whatever that means. I told them i was not driving half an hour for a missing piece of chicken and just asked for a refund. They said they couldn't do that. The guy said he would give me a call back because he had a line out the door. He never did that. My nana bought chicken for herself, me, and my aunt that lives near this restaurant. My aunt went up there and they gave here two free breasts but I still had to find something else to eat because my food was messed up. Terrible service, food, and experience!

Best food in Colorado hands down, their fried pickles and mushrooms are exquisite along with the fried chicken. The service has always been Top tier and they're very polite.

Humble and homespun in the best way. Outstanding fried chicken, generous portions, but could use more seasoning. Great service. Stepping in is like being inside a time machine, but doesn't feel dated and adds to the experience. Restrooms need work. Consistently very good.

We were passing through in our travels and looking for some good comfort food, Wishbone had great reviews so we stopped in and they did not disappoint. Peaceful welcoming atmosphere, our server was fabulous (younger blonde lady with a ponytail, can't recall her name!), the food was SO good! We were very pleased with this whole experience! Thank you so much Wishbone for the great good and delightful hospitality!

All of it is just a true feeling at home when you walk into wishbone it feels as if you are walking into your grandmothers house and you feel a sense of joy as the staff is just the sweetest from the owners who work there with the normal staff and the waitress and oh my lord dude the art on the walls are beautiful just a stunning 3d works if art.

Gosh, I'm bummed I haven't been back in forever. I remember the fried chicken was amazing and every time I thought about coming by it was crazy busy. Finally stopped by again last night to bring brother to come try their stuff. We had the appetizer platter - liver/gizzard, onion rings, mushrooms and coconut shrimp. A couple fried chicken meals and I had the spaghetti and meat sauce. Everything was delicious and I was surprised with their pasta, so thick and yummy. I will definitely be back again now that I was reminded of how great their gravy is, and also, they have some really yummy stuff with livers, gizzards, liver/onions... and their soup is really amazing too. Obviously, you gotta try the fried chicken. Lastly, Nicole, you are an amazing hostess, thanks so much for waiting on us and provide amazing energy towards the end of your shift. :)

Love this family owned business. Our family has enjoyed Wishbone Family dining for many years. The home style fried chicken, baked potatoes and Texas toast are my favorite but the shrimp and fries are a close second. The service is quick and they treat you like family. The ambiance is welcoming and they also have quick and friendly takeout if you're in a hurry.

No frills, old timers place to go for fried fish, shrimp and of course chicken... Great service, friendly staff and reasonable prices.. A family joint!

Family style restaurant. Nothing fancy. Was our first time to the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and polite. Pretty busy early on a Friday evening. Got seated right away. We were four adults and all had some combination of the fried chicken. Excellent, hot, tasty and not greasy at all. We will be back.

Wishbone is a cute hidden gem that serves up some awesome fried chicken plates. The place has a country vibe and is pretty plain. Definitely a restaurant geared towards older folks and a well backed community and regulars. The service was great and the food came out fast. For those who like take-out, they've also got a separate space for that as well. Saw a couple folks use it and it looked like a well used space. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced for the hefty portion sizes. The only thing I would say could've been better was the chicken gravy. It wasn't as flavorful as I would've liked. Also, ordered a basket of fried pickles and they had a sourer taste than normal, but were still enjoyable and lightly fried. The chicken was perfect and the two piece chicken thigh meal was the perfect size. If you're a fried chicken lover, I would make your way on over and test it out for yourself.

Family owned and family friendly, Wishbone is known as one of the best fried chicken spots in town. We've eaten there for decades and never had a bad meal. All the way down to the Texas toast and honey, pickles and that great yellow gravy, one of our family's favorite spots to eat, anytime!

So glad I found this place. Tired of chain restaurants my travels. Food, service, everything was excellent. Owner was out front running the show. Waitress was excellent and food so good. Only downside was not making it back while I was in town.

Tried their fried chicken dinner. You could tell it was made fresh. Service was good. Nothing outstanding, but better than other sit down restaurants in the area. The place was clean. Had an old time fell to the place.

This fried chicken is so crispy, juicy and cooked to perfection every time. Their shrimp is amazing as well! I love their gravy and Texas toast, which I dip in the gravy and I do that with the chicken and fries too! I've been dining here since the 1990's, and back then my two sons often requested Wishbone chicken and shrimp! They are all grown up and away from home now, but we still talk about eating chicken from Wishbone and how much they both miss this amazing chicken and shrimp! I most definitely give Wishbone five stars and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys a crispy, juicy piping hot piece of chicken with all of the extras served with every meal! Absolutely delicious, and now I'm hungry for a piece of that chicken, my favorite is the breast!! Save your money. First time there, heard about the chicken. Had fried zucchini app, $11 for frozen watery zucchini and the ranch was the worst we have had. it had no taste and was so watered down it did not stick to the breading. Chicken had no seasoning but was decent. not any better than anywhere else. huge disappointment. Then we saw the charge for two iced tea's, $7.70. Server was very nice and prompt.

Best fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and Texas toast you will get from a family owned restaurant that's been around for years. Don't come here expecting fancy, heart healthy or anything even close to that but you can expect good comfort food that hits the spot. We always order take out and we will forever call it 'Chicken Bone' because that's what my daughter has called it since she was 3. Thanks Chicken Bone for always being a family favorite.

I like this place. I have to eat my meals early. I think we were finished with dinner at past three thirty. This place is spotless. The service is friendly. The windows are wide. The food is reasonably priced and nothing is cheaply made. I had chicken fried chicken. I've lived here for over forty years and I have never heard of this place. Of course I live far away from it. But I can easily see myself returning. A word about five star ratings, as an individual concerned about inflation, to me, a four star rating is the top recommendation for my experience. But the five star, it will come. Please understand.

Went here based on Yelp reviews , Yelp info, and desire for fried chicken. The service was great, but the first thing that surprised me was when I opened the menu and all of the prices are 30-40% higher than listed in the Yelp info or the photos of the menu. Then comes the actual food, and all I can say is "Bland". The chicken was tough, and even the coating on the fried chicken had essentially no flavor. The meal comes with a tub of gravy, and I'm glad it did, as that was the only way there was any flavor. Just wasn't the down-home fried chicken I had in mind.

Clean. Simple food. Enjoyable. Not my favorite fair but many people love it. They do a nice job for what they do.

Wishbone is worth every penny. We save our takeout texas toast for egg sandwiches... Wish bone is one heck of a place. They have it down to a science.

We had yummy coconut shrimp and two piece chicken and fries and great service. I loved the pickles too. It's was crowded but the cashier was the host and cashier and had a great attitude and also joking. Fun night.

Service was fabulous despite being busy. We tried the poppers and deep fried mushrooms and they were good with really good crunch...and HOT out of the fryer!! We had the 2 piece white chicken plate and the chicken fried chicken plate. The bread coating again was great and crunchy, but there was no real flavor to the chicken. I'm sure it was not brined or seasoned prior to being fried so it was bland. The mashed potatoes are fine, but the gravy is like the jarred chicken gravy that needs a lot more seasoning and less stabilizer whether it was flour or cornstarch the vegetables are the frozen mixed vegetables, that also were limited in flavor. Maybe some of the other items would be better, not sure if we will try it again unless we just go for our deep fried fix

Dont think I'll go back. The salad was old and wilted and brown. the chicken and gravy not that good. The man at the checkout was very touchy and I felt very uncomfortable when he passed behind me and his hand brushed my rear end.
