Near the University of Rochester, The Wok offers a broad menu with a solid Cantonese and Chinese-American core—roasted duck, fried rice, and stir-fries—plus bubble tea. A neighborhood standby with steady delivery demand and late hours.

Our experience at The Wok was truly exceptional! The flavors of the steak beef pho, pad Thai, and wok-fried rice were absolutely outstanding. The authenticity of the dishes and the attention to taste were remarkable. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt, making our dining experience delightful. The Wok is a definite must-visit for anyone craving phenomenal Asian cuisine in Rochester. Highly recommended!

I ordered through Uber Eats. The shrimp & scallop Thai was horrible! Shrimp was so dried out I thought it was chicken & the few tiny pieces of scallop was so fishy I spit them out and threw away the food. This was the first & last time I will order from this place. Spring rolls were messy and fell apart & sauce was horrible- I threw them out too. Big waste of money- very poor quality food!

Google
Good Pho at good price. The soup is tasty and similar to the one in Vietnam. The rare beef and beef balls are nicely cooked and the broth is pure and balanced. Will come back!

Google
The sushi rolls were good but they didnt have a way on grubhub to order extra spicymayo on the side. I ordered the general tso chicken one time and it is great. I also ordered Panang that was alright but I had it better elsewhere. I loved the honeydew bubble tea and free slice of green tea cheesecake from a coupon on Grubhub!!! Give this place a try I think its worth a try.

Brisket buns were the highlight. Everything was really good 😊 I have not been disappointed yet.

The food's amazing, seriously top-notch stuff, and you can really tell it's made with love. Plus, everyone there is super friendly – it's just an awesome experience all around!

Food was really good! Affordable and filling. My favorite was Vietnamese coffee. Lunch menu has good options to choose from.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Even made sure I had everything that was ordered. Triple Checked. Beautiful inside. I am so looking forward to my next trip. Definitely will be going back!

Yelp
We used to live in the area and ordered from here occasionally. We've had good experiences in the past, which kept us coming back. Unfortunately, the last few times have been awful. I don't usually leave reviews, but I'm hoping this feedback is taken seriously. This most recent order will be our last. The food was not fresh--both the sesame chicken and egg rolls had a sour taste. My boyfriend had the fried rice and crab rangoon and now is sick with food poisoning. We're really disappointed with how the quality has declined. I hope the restaurant takes this as constructive feedback and makes changes, but we won't be ordering again!

Yelp
I am pretty much always in the mood for Asian cuisines, and I work near this restaurant so I decided to give it a try for lunch one afternoon. The menu here is HUGE! I went with sesame tofu as I order that as many Chinese/Asian fusion restaurants. The sauce on the sesame tofu was goopy and browner that I am used to at other restaurants. The taste wasn't spectacular. The white rice was fine, the crispy veggie spring rolls were delicious. The Vietnamese iced coffee was not very good, unfortunately. It tasted like stale drip coffee that had been sitting around a while and had ice cubes put in it. The Wok is large and has lots of seating (and many entrances). I took my food to go, but it appears clean and bright from what I observed. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and is fairly busy. If you are leaving on the Plymouth Avenue side, you can only turn right. Maybe this is a restaurant who tries to do too much (286 items are listed on the takeout menu) and would be better focusing on one type of cuisine or a couple of amazing specialties. I will consider The Wok again in the future, if only to get those spring rolls again.

Yelp
Food was horrific. First off, order totally wrong. Shrimp covered in layers of disgusting dough. Ordered 4 crab Rangoon's... Omg why? Full of cream cheese zero crab not even the juice. Don't waste your money. Thank God I was able to recover it from Dash quick shot out to door dash never ever again. It's a NO in big letters for me. See pictures. The white isn't shrimp let's be clear. The size is soaked in dough I ended up tossing it all out!!!! Disgusting for sure. Just bread and a baby shrimp. Smh the worst part... Wasn't what I ordered ugh. Never ever again. Never eat any place that don't cook food thoroughly. Health department may need to take a look to assure safety.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed in my recent take out order. I ordered take-out from The Wok a few times during the pandemic, and thought I'd found the best take-out Asian place in the city. Saturday they had a two for one Phat Thai, so I ordered it. Phat Thai is all about the noodles. They included big chucks of green peppers and onions....and those are NOT a part of Phat Thai! I just want excellent tasty noodles, plus the chicken and ground peanuts. There were no peanuts. I don't even know what I got. Hope they can get back their mojo, but I'm not sure if they want to.

L L.

Yelp
I have come here for many years...something is really off. Ordered take out...didn't know how much my order was messed up until got home. Ordered papaya salad...got a tossed salad with tofu? Ordered tom yum soup....was red...has never been red. Ordered spring rolls...didn't get peanut sauce---got some weird dark unappetizing sauce. Very disappointed. Also my main entree that I always get was just not right---nope.

Yelp
Today was a test run and they hit it out of the park. I ordered something I don't usually order which was the orange chicken, because I knew it would have a lot of flavor even if it wasn't the best. It was exceptional! There was more chicken than vegetables, in fact it is mostly chicken and just a few sprigs of broccoli. The chicken is generous and fresh with a delicious lightly spicy and tangy sauce. It came with white rice which is perfect and it was done perfectly. I wanted to test out some liquids so I went ahead and got milk bubble tea for the first time which I really liked and I got a large wonton soup so I could hydrate. This was my lunch and dinner and it fit the bill. This is easily enough food for two people and all you would need is a second rice. The soup is huge and it's going to hydrate me perfectly for the evening. The wontons are the biggest I have ever seen and I think this large wonton soup would have been enough of a meal for me. I kid you not The bubble tea is lightly sweet which is perfect and the mango shake is simple, light, icy and delicious. I will definitely order from here again and highly recommend them PS Delivery was very fast in fact it was estimated for 1557 PM and arrived at 1530 which was only about 25 minutes. They caught me offguard they delivered it in a nice box so everything was protected and nothing spilled. Not even greasy residue because there is no greasy residue on the food Orange chicken White rice Wonton soup "bubble" milk tea Mango smoothie

Yelp
Totally got my order wrong called 2 times and still diddnt get it right .... I might place A12 or review but I promise I won't ever order from here again .... When I spoke to the manager he was no help !!!! Now I gotta cook dinner at 8 pm when I placed the order at 6pm yeah not good :/

Yelp
The food is very good and the family that owns it is very friendly. My favorite is the sesame balls and the vegetarian fake chicken dish.

Yelp
You know what? Most places you order Orange Chicken it is a bland, too sweet sauce and terrifying chicken. NOT HERE. I'm a bit of a heat-seeker, I lived with a chef in college who made the most face-burning Szechuan food. I am not afraid of your heat. I didn't even -ask- and the Orange Chicken was nicely hot right at the baseline, not gringo-bland-tastes like cereal. This tells me that they are _not_ afraid to cook food properly and deliciously. I will be returning.

Jenny C.

Yelp
I don't understand the bad reviews. I love everything here and I order here all the time. Wonton noodle soup, Thai curry soup, decently priced Bahn mi. I love this place.

Yelp
The wok has seriously improved over the years!! We live nearby and get their food regularly. We're obsessed with the fresh spring rolls. But we'll order varying other entrees, too. Everything is always so fresh , tasty and the perfect temperature. Their sauces are always spot on. A neighborhood gem.

Yelp
Got the kung pao beef lunch special and the bánh cuốn. The kung pao was spicy with delicious crunchy veg and toasted peanuts. I had been craving bánh cuốn for a long time having lived New Orleans. It was just what I was looking for today. Crunchy veggies with the fish sauce and the silky rice rolls with minced meat.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel within walking distance for 4 days. Not much around this area within walking distance. So we wound up eating here 3 times. The seating area is open with lots of space. There is a counter that looks like it was once a bar. Sometimes a large tv is on with it being the news. We were greeted all 3 times by an older woman who appeared to be the owner. She came off kind of rough but as we got to know her she was kind and we talked about family. He also spoke to what seemed like her husband or older son. We had zero complaints about the food. The menu includes a wide range of Asian dishes from Chinese, to Thai, to Vietnamese. In total we had: Appetizers: crab Rangoon, shrimp, bbq pork Entrees: Singapore rice noodle dish, pad Thai, Tom yum soup, dumpling soup, and pad se ew. All really delicious. If we ever make it back to Rochester, we will stop in and dine again.

Yelp
We had a group of 8 for lunch a few days ago, made reservations and were seated promptly in a nice large table / area. Our server was Nicki, and she was very attentive, provided good suggestions and regularly checked back with us for possible needs. The variety of selections of food was more than adequate, was delivered promptly and was delicious! We would recommend Ricci's highly and plan on returning for future get-togethers.

Yelp
First time ordering at The Wok after finding out that it's a quick stop on my commute home from work. I got the Beef Lo Mein and a mango milk bubble tea. I was somewhat disappointed with the Beef Lo Mein. The noodles and beef themselves were good, but there were more vegetables than I anticipated, including bean sprouts, which I usually omit from my orders. I did enjoy the bubble tea, which had a nice mango flavor and a decent amount of tapioca pearls. There weren't any choices for type of tea or lactose-free milk options. I will probably order again due to convenience and I'm hoping that my next order will be more satisfactory.

Edward L.

Yelp
I heard that you might like it there. However, I HAVE ALSO HEARD OTHER OPINIONS FROM THE PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE AT DIFFERENT TIMES ON OTHER DAYS. Food was good on all days. The service was variable, depending on who was working on the day that you would go. Ambiance was consistently good at all times and hours. All things considered, it was very good! **** 4 stars
google avatar

Yelp
Very heavy, doughy dumplings. The chicken was stringy with a mushy coating. The shrimp egg roll was bland and also had a thick, doughy coating.

Yelp
My company sent us an Uber eats credit, so it was a good opportunity to try some place new! I ordered orange chicken, panang with beef, crab Rangoon, and miso soup. Unfortunately this place left a lot to be desired. Otherwise then the crab Rangoon (delicious), everything else was just off. Orange chicken was too thickly breaded and couldn't tell it had any orange flavor. The panang was essentially inedible. Lacked flavor and beef was mealy. You wouldn't have been able to tell what either of these dishes were. Haven't tried the soup yet, but that seems hard to mess up. Unfortunately I wouldn't order from here again.

Dennis K.

Yelp
Went to the Wok for dinner last week. The food is very good and the manager was very nice and friendly.
google avatar

Marilyn S.

Yelp
Try their steamed duck buns! Pure heaven! Also loved their flavorful Cantonese duck. Don't expect crispy skin but the skin is tender, juicy and flavorful! The duck in both dishes was tender and moist. These dishes sold us on The Wok. Will definitely order from them again!

Mo S.

Yelp
I have never been disappointed when eating at The Wok. The menu is HUGE and there are options for everyone. My one friend is a vegetarian and is always overjoyed coming here, as there are so many options she can choose from. Highly recommend!

William K.

Yelp
This place is... OK. Not a lot to write about. Prices are pretty reasonable which is great, especially for University of Rochester students, but the quality, while acceptable, was definitely not like what you would find in other major cities like Toronto, New York, etc. Since I ordered from here off of Uber Eats, this review will not cover what it's like to eat in here. I ordered a beef with broccoli and a fried pork dumplings appetizer. While both were edible, I could taste more sauce than beef, and the dumplings were too chewy for my taste. I also found the bubble tea options to be rather limited. Not sure if I'd order from here again nor would I go out of my way to come here. I'd find another place in town...

Yelp
I'm gonna be completelyyyyy honest. I did not have high expectations of The Wok considering their unbelievably ginormous menu and my overall disappointment from other Chinese food places in the area. But I must admit that The Wok completely blew me away. We ordered through Grubhub and the order came very quickly, packaged safely in a big box and everything was accurate. Lately with Grubhub, that's been an issue. I ordered the Mock Chicken w/ Broccoli and was initially impressed. Chicken with Broccoli had always been my favorite Chinese food order, but since becoming vegetarian that's obviously not possible anymore. So this was a pleasant surprise on the menu! I'm still not 100% sure what the mock chicken was, but it wasn't quite seitan, tofu, or tempeh, but some sort of something similar. It had a decent taste and the only complaint I have is that I would have preferred a darker, thicker, and more flavorful sauce that would have made the "chicken" more flavorful. So after a while, it became a little monotonous. Overall though, it was a really nice meal. Ryan ordered the Evil Jungle Prince and was also really happy with it, though he did say it was spicier than he anticipated! Because we had an order that was over $20 through Grubhub, we got a free green tea cheesecake with our order! It was actually quite nice, considering it was free. The texture was a little bit softer than a cheesecake and the flavor was mild. Really happy with our experience overall and I will definitely return to The Wok when I'm feeling Chinese delivery!

Yelp
Weird inside, but decent food overall. Wouldn't mind coming back!---------------------------------------

Yelp
While on the road I was pleased with the freshness and portions of my order. Honestly, it made 2 1/2 meals. Loved the egg rolls and crab rangoon. My next visit will include their won ton soup----a great treat on a cold night. Entry for pick up is on the back-side parking lot. You will be greeted warmly and they really appreciate your business. I love supporting local foodie joints.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
WORST FOOD EVER To say the food wasn't up to par would be an understatement. How about the food looked like a child's science experiment. There is no sauce on the food, even though the business has the nerve to describe the items as having sauce. They don't even provide you with any condiments which you would need for their dried out food. I would not feed this food to a sewer rat.

Yelp
We've been trying to find a decent Chinese place since The Wokery (Gates) closed. It's been difficult. The ones by us are ok, but just that - ok. We found The Wok on Grubhub (but unfortunately are outside their delivery area for Grubhub) and decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised. The food is good and portions are generous. I had my Chicken and Broccoli for 2 dinners and a lunch :) Worth a try if you're looking for Chinese on the west side. Located on Genesee Street - newly renovated area so outside of buildings are nice! Inside ambiance is so so. Concrete floors, but plenty of seating.

Yelp
Ordered the pad thai with chicken. Took quite a while to get my order. Spaghetti noodles in pad thai? Yea, no thanks. The supposed white meat chicken was very bland. Huge pieces of green peppers and mushrooms??? I'm all set. Last point... the customer service was lacking.

Yelp
3.8/5 I did takeout. Chicken Lo Mein with a side of crab rangoon. The Lo Mein was better than the average. The noodles they use in the dish are high quality, and taste exceptional. The veggies were fresh and crisp which was nicely done. However, the chicken and the dishes sauce were about as average you can get. The portion size was generous, about the same as most Chinese restaurants. maybe slightly larger. NOW, the Crab Rangoon was probably the best I've ever had. Superb is the best word I can think of. I wouldn't call myself a Chinese Restaurant connoisseur, but I'm confident these were top notch. The perfect amount of filling (FULL), just the right temperature, a slight crisp on the outside, with a nice touch of soy dipping sauce... I will definitely be back for those.. $16 for the entree and the side. Call me crazy, but it seems slightly high for a strip mall Chinese Restaurant.
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
Let me just start off by saying they have amazing food!! I had the order of pad thai with beef and it was just so delicious. I don't believe it's traditional but the sweetness to it was spot-on. The crab rangoon was delicious and this is coming from a person that doesn't really eat crab... I've also tried the steamed buns and it's like no other! this place is definitely a must go if you havnt already gone.
google avatar

Leellani C.

Yelp
More like 4.25 stars for me, had the Thai fried rice with shrimp yummy, bubble tea---good but different than what I get in Rockville more milky like taste not my preference when ordering fruit based bubbly....but I like will keep going back when I am in the area for school:) So much better than what I'm used to back in the DMV, good portions not greasy, totally clean and nice service. One of the few restaurants I'll actually sit and eat in while here in the Roch. Like Arnold says in the movie " I'll Be Back"
google avatar

Marissa N.

Yelp
The pork lo mein had a great amount of veggies, pork and flavor. Hot and sour soup was good, not quite hot enough for my tastes. The garlic eggplant were large fried cubes with a thick sauce. Fried rice consisted of rice and a bit of egg. The beef bun was by far the star of the lunch. There was ample tender sauced meat in a really soft bun, garnished with green onion.

Yelp
I was expecting a juicy wet Bubble Tea drink. Instead I got a fancy, elaborate, crazy thick Mango dessert. It was surprising. Can you imagine "The Shok?" I've been to the Wok twice, but the first time it was closed for remodeling. So this is the story of my second trip. I came here *just* for the famous Bubble Tea, so this is a review of that. You can find the Geeks in here, the Cheerleaders, and of course, "The Jok." Decor: Their new decor is great. It's a huge place, they really expanded it. It still smells like a building site, though. Star Wars characters eat here. Not so much Kirk but you may see "The Spok." Menu: It's full of Viet, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes. All over the map. Usually that kind of menu means that everything is okay but nothing is great. I have no idea. There's a secret way to get in. They won't open the door and let you in unless you know "The Nok." Service: Not so great. She recommended the Mango Bubble Tea and I appreciated that. But I specifically asked for the shaken, not the smoothie type. And I definitely got the smoothie, because like others said it was more like a dessert. I still liked it though. And also she didn't seem too thrilled to have me in her place or with the fact that I dropped my change. And a chef was sitting outside the whole time, smoking. Right near the doors. Not my fave thing to see on my way in and out of a place. Don't wear your normal dress to this place. Wear "The Frok." Bubble Tea: Well it's complicated. The good and bad, listed below. The good: a) I really liked it. I'm not sure why, since there were so many issues with it. b) It was different to any other Bubble Tea I've had. c) The size was really large and I appreciated that, it offset the cost. d) The bizarre chalky milky flavour with a hint of mango is strangely addictive. Maybe it's crack. Oh wow, is that the time? I need to get on with the bad list. I just noticed "The Clok." The bad: a) The bubbles in it were chalky, old, inedible. b) The whole thing had a chalky flavour and consistency and while it was addictive, you may not like it. c) There's only a tiny hint of mango flavour so if you want it to be very mango, you'll be disappointed. d) It's well over $3 so it's not really cheap. And don't leave your car open in the parking lot. Make sure you use "The Lok." So come here and try a Bubble Tea and see for yourself. They're like no other Bubble Tea you'll ever have. It's like a fancy dessert. And if you're in the mood for some action, then just text me and ask for "The C*k."

Yelp
Very pleased that they have replaced the California Rollin. We got our food to go but would certainly eat here sometime as well. Bubble tea in several flavors was delish. We ordered Round Steak Pho, a few lunch specials, and shrimp dumplings. Everything was delicious. The shrimp dumplings weren't quite what I expected. They were good and full of shrimp so maybe that's why it was $3 for 4 of them. The menu offers Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese dishes. We look forward to returning again soon.

Yelp
Food was delivered on time, but quality of food was not good at all. All four of us that ordered food were not happy with the cook or taste of our dishes. The sesame chicken and brown sauce were way too sweet. They don't seem to actually know what panang is, as it was extremely soupy with the most faint taste of curry and I've never seen string beans in panang before - just a very confused dish. The BBQ pork isn't what you'd get elsewhere, which was disappointing. Just overall not good, even the wonton soup was lackluster. So disappointing. We will not be ordering from here again.

Yelp
Here's an example of one of the great things Yelp can do. In a Yelp review of The Wok, someone mentioned that the owner of the now defunct Wok With You had opened this place. As we had always enjoyed that place, trying The Wok was a must. Finding The Wok was like finding an old friend you hadn't seen for years. We were greeted by a lady who was also our server. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered a couple of our favorite dishes, Spicy Kung Po Chicken for me, Roast Duck Noodle Soup for my wife. Just as it was at the other place, the food was delicious. We finished our meal by sharing a piece of Green Tea Cheesecake. It too was wonderful. We had a chance to speak with the owner, Wayne, who explained that this new place was a better opportunity for him. It may not share the same high-end atmosphere, but it's comfortable, clean and best of all, the food is terrific. The Wok is located near the U of R campus, convenient for any students who may be craving Asian cuisine. The menu has something for every Asian taste, so I suggest you stop by The Wok.

Yelp
Well it's not often that Yelp fails me in a food crisis.... but none of the reviews I read are even remotely close to what I'm experiencing. First the delivery took longer than quoted, but I'm ok with long wait times if the food is fresh, hot, and tasty....... and there's the problem. It is none of these. If I wasn't in a location where I wasn't familiar and starving, I'd complain and ask for a refund. The food was lukewarm, and isn't very tasty in my opinion. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, and if this is what I ordered, it's different from ANY other Kung Pao I've ever had ...... IN LIFE. The rice was less than warm, and the cheese wontons a little soggy. I'm going to eat it, but only because my mother always told me never waste food.

Yelp
This is my new go to Chinese place! I used to go to another place closer to me but was continually getting sick. I order the sweet & sour chicken & fried rice every time and haven't been disappointed! Flavored well, cooked thoroughly, and prompt when I do online ordering through door dash. 02/05 update: i ordered $50 worth of chinese through yelp last week and half of the order was fine, but my rice came with all vegetables I had never seen in my rice before (I've ordered from them multiple times) and I ended up not eating it. What I did eat, though, I got very sick from. Will never order here again.

JM G.

Yelp
Ordered food from this location, did not get part of my order, the rest of the order was extremely slapdash, the general Tso was mostly breading and gristle, while also being mostly soggy. Overall a bad experience. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Zaal Z.

Yelp
The crab Rangoon was pretty good and the only problem I had was that it came with soy sauce and had I not looked in the bag I would have not come back in and asked for fuck sause. But the food was good

Yelp
Got the Thai basil fried rice for delivery. Delivery was within the estimated time but slow (took 45 minutes). The food was nothing to write home about. The rice was overcooked and had no flavor. I didn't come by any basil and needed to add salt to get it to be edible. Unfortunately I had to eat it cause the driver already left and I was starving. A waste of $20.40. I would not recommend this place.
google avatar

Paige S.

Yelp
This has quickly become one of my favorite places to order take out from. The food is always delicious and the Crab Rangoon are my favorite in town! I've ordered several different dishes and I have yet to have something that's less than amazing.

Yelp
More like 3.25 Ordered delivery for dinner last night. Good vegetarian options, but the Pad See Ew that I ordered was over the top greasy. Perhaps that's how it is traditionally made, but it isn't what I was expecting. On the other hand, the sides I ordered (steamed broccoli & crispy tofu) were excellent. I also appreciate that they fulfilled my request for lots of spicy sauce! Over all, if and when I'm in the area again, I'd reorder. Delivery was prompt and the delivery driver was very friendly.

Yelp
By now, most of us probably know the background story on, "The Wok..." But in-case you don't, according to the RocWiki it was opened by the same owner, Wayne Luong, of the former Wok With You. The Wok has been open about a year now and in that timeframe I have ordered there a handful of times. The dining room is nice and I'm looking forward to eating-in, sometime in the near future. The Wok is a welcome addition to the Brooks Landing neighborhood. It never seems overly busy in the restaurant, but we have seen nice crowds on a couple of occasions. The food is average. I did not like their shrimp pad thai. I'm not sure if it was a precursor to the Thai category on the menu or if I just got a really bad batch? The customer service is good and very friendly. As noted by a fellow Yelper, they were closed for about a month prior to July 5th. I'm not sure if this is going to be an annual thing or not, but when I spoke to the kind lady at the front desk, she explained that she was on vacation in Vietnam. As for the rating, I'll have to take the classic line, "this is really closer 3 1/2 stars." Will be sure to update if anything changes.

Yelp
On my first visit I went here for a meeting and was distracted from the experience by some intense conversation. This is what I can vouch for...its a great place to meet. The food was good (phat thai) and it was a place that wasn't too overwhelming to have a good meeting or conversation. I certainly plan to return an explore the menu a bit more. .......... Back again...for lunch Lunch prices are very good Food is good, above average Chinese We had rainbow beef and schezuan chicken. The hot sour soup is excellent. Wanted to get some pictures posted on this place. .......... Back again :-) 2 recommendations Wonton soup - homemade wontons and peppery broth. Turnip cakes - unique and delicious

Yelp
Only those who have access to Apple Pay can order online. So I guess they don't want my business. Take my $70 order elsewhere.

Yelp
Terrible just got our order 20 minutes ago and it was WRONG first because I'd ordered general Tso and received orange chicken I presume with no side of rice which we later found to be the noodles for the pho (unlabeled to know what it was). The fried dumplings were in an egg roll bag and lacked any flavor and were hard. The pho broth lacked seasoning. We received no condiments like soy sauce or duck sauce or a dumpling sauce. Miso soup taste like boiled tofu and with a hint of seaweed. Overall awful. Never ordering from here again. If anything I'd suggest trying them out as a dine in possibly but I'm not going to risk it. Nothing in the meal gave me hope for this place.

For some reason, I always assumed this was a take-out only place with mediocre food (I tend to be skeptical of places that claim to do Chinese! Thai! Sushi! Everything!) , and was pleasantly surprised when I finally visited for lunch. They have an awesome selection of bubble teas, and you can ask to have it more or less sweet depending on your personal taste! I tried the mango (this was recommended to me by the server), and it was delicious. Kind of like a ice cream sherbet / smoothie at the top, so I can't wait to come back on a hot summer's day to get another. I had the Thai Basil Pork, and it was solid. Not the best ever, but definitely solid. Super good value for the price -- $7.95 for lunch and I had leftovers. Fast service and friendly staff.
