With all the great breweries in Atlanta people forget that Sweetwater is the OG (aside from Red brick ) and it's sometimes chastised as not having high quality craft options. Think whatever you want about that, but the Woodlands is clearly in the game to satisfy the palates of people wanting craftier beer and they're doing it well.
I came here near the beginning of 2017 pretty soon after they opened for one of the pre-purchased tours and was really impressed with the space. One of the perks of being attached to a large established brewery I suppose. It's nice, it's open, it's wood-y. I was getting married soon and I thought it would have been a cool place to have a small wedding or rehearsal dinner.
I like sours and I loved Through the Brambles, a blackberry sour, so much that we bought a bottle of it to take home. Sadly, when I returned recently they didn't have it anymore, but I did like Pit & Pendulum as well and they had it with apricot on my second visit.
It's too bad this place is only open on Saturdays for now! Between the Woodlands and regular Sweetwater I would think there is something for everyone on this block.
