The resort has a great water play area with pools, slides, lazy river, and hot tub. Wish they had an adults only area - they don’t. Rooms are clean and cool. For us, the bed was just too hard to be comfortable. But it was good otherwise. Free self parking is also nice.

Service isn’t bad… def not great with how much they charge for everything. The cleaning staff is lovely and does a great job. Front desk has an attitude for some reason. Or maybe they don’t like working. The first night I called the front desk twice and no one answered. Walked down and they were just standing there. Hotel structure seems alright. The shower leaked into the floor every time I used it. Card stopped working the second night. Rooms too hot. It says 65 but it’s not. Would not pay this much again for this kind of place, specially if it’s Hilton brand. The golf course is quite nice.

We’ve done a few staycations at The Woodlands Resort now, and each time it gets better. This recent mid-week getaway as a family was exactly what we needed. The rooms were clean and cozy, the staff was welcoming, and the whole resort has such a peaceful, easygoing vibe. My teenagers always have a blast which They loved the lazy river, pool area, and just being able to explore the property. We enjoyed a nice dinner the service was great! As the owner of MaxResto, I don’t often get time to slow down, so finding a spot close to home that actually lets me unwind and enjoy time with my family is a gift. We always leave feeling recharged and ready to go. Highly recommend for any family looking for a quick, refreshing escape!

Everything was beautiful from daylight to the night. It was so peaceful exactly what we needed. We enjoyed our shuttle ride to our room, walking around holding hands looking at God's creations in the pond. Wonderful buffet breakfast the next morning. Friendly people walking by our room while we sit on our porch. We had a great time here. The pool was big and spacious. I do recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here multiple times over the years and have never had a bad experience. That being said, this visit fell short by all expectations. I opted to come here rather than go to San Luis in Galveston for mother’s day weekend because I love the pina colodas, pool side service and out door atmosphere. Pina coloda tasted like mostly whiskey, not just the shot floating on top. Probably because they weren’t really frozen. It took 30 minutes to get chips and queso. Music around the pool was so faint in the back ground it was barely audible. It was not a vibe like it has been in the past. Other guest stated they were told at the front desk that the volume of guests was not anticipated. It’s Mother’s Day weekend. Also we have been here when far more people were staying here and the service was so much better. I’m not sure if ownership changed or management, but I’m highly disappointed. This was my gift this year as I’m sure it was for other moms and it’s been super disappointing. Message was sent asking about stay so far when when I expressed these concerns the response was, “I am sorry.” That’s it. As much as I have loved this resort in the past, we probably won’t ever stay here again.

It was a very beautiful resort! Very clean, accommodating staff. Brook at the poolside was such a sweet heart! Thankful for a wonderful, Peaceful weekend

I don't know where to start, but if you come across this please read this morning to anyone and everyone that wants to stay here. First off the quality of the room was horrible it felt like I walked to a motel 6 or something on the bad side of town, it felt cheap. Second when I booked online I got a really good deal that was about $50 off, for a king single. When I went there they gave us a double without mentioning it we walked into the room we were quite surprised and Anno yed that we had such a small bed to share or we would have to sleep separately. The AC in the room did not work, it would stay stuck on to the point where it was 40° by the time we woke up at 3:00 in the morning. Third the bar overcharged dramatically maybe even three times the amount it was around $50 for two single regular drinks nothing special. When we got room service for a cheesecake they charge us almost $40 for a single cheesecake it was only $15 but the fees is where they got us. Fourth whenever we checked out they charged us the difference in the savings we did by booking it online claiming that it is mandatory for them to do because we booked online so they got their money anyways instead of us saving some money. This place is absolutely predatory, everything is extremely overpriced without reason, the quality is very low as far as drinks food and the room. I advise anybody that wants to stay somewhere nice to just go to a hotel for $40 a night down the road it will be way better than this. I will never come back and I will make sure that anybody that mentions this place avoids it like the plague.

Google
A top of the mark destination that lacks proper upkeep, friendly staff, and overall good management. We visit 4-5 weekends every year, and look forward to the improvements. However, the value drops despite the excellent potential. The staff /management really bring this place down. It has all of the makings of a great little hometown resort, but so many short comings due to budget or management. My guess, opinion, is that the staff is under paid, and their dismay shows.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the resort for 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful! Our room overlooked the golf course. The breakfast buffet at Harrison's was very good. There was something for everyone, including omelets, waffles, pancakes, pastries, grits, fruit, and yogurt. It's just very pricey (about $30 per person). We took advantage of the fitness center. It is very well equipped. It has free weights, smith machine, cable station, ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, etc. We had dinner at the Back Table. It was a great meal. I had short ribs and my husband ordered pork belly. Both very delicious. The restaurant itself was a little loud, but we didn't mind. The pool is beautiful! I didn't think it would be open at the end of October, so I regretted not bringing a swimsuit. We also took advantage of the free shuttle to the mall area. Our driver was very nice and drove us to our destination. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Was here for 3 nights/4 days for a business meeting. The rooms/beds are very comfortable and spacious. The walls are very thin. It's on nice grounds, allowing you to go for walks. Golf course next to the resort. For the most part during the day, the staff at the conference center was fantastic. Can't say that about all the stay. I checked in the night before on the app and chose my room. Even had an email confirmation. When I arrived, the lady blew me off and said oh well guess it didn't work so we start all over. No explanation of the grounds. Was also frustrated by the fact that they have a sticker that says unless you request housekeeping, you will not be disturbed. That was a lie. Some one texted me 3-4 times during me stay to check in. When I told her I didn't appreciate this she said oh sorry. That sticker shouldn't be there For our last night, we had an event on site. The dinner was horrible and the service was worse. One server in particular (Kristin) was asked why there were no knives out when you had a carving station with meat (which was dry and tough) . Her answer was I can't help you with that and walked away. Later she rudely interrupted conversation to take plates that had been sitting for less than 30 seconds. The whole thing was a mess. Lastly, there are hours during the day that there is no food available at the resort. We arrived after traveling all morning with no food Luckily we found one person who told us the golf course had a tavern with food. Right next to the resort. Walkable. Service and food there were great!

Yelp
Another night, another hotel and it was a good one! Here for a work trip, we were able to check in early and head to our rooms! The resort was very quiet as it was off season but very nice. Check in was fast and friendly- and on that note all the staff were exceptionally friendly! As we were leaving our Uber driver got confused and could not find the entrance so one of the staff members drove off to guide him towards us! The room was big, beautiful and very spacious as well as spotlessly clean! Loved the large balcony and large bathroom with plenty of counter space to get ready! The room was also quiet and very dark which made for a nice sleep! Beautiful grounds, well equipped gym! Great stay!

Yelp
This review is for the Mother's Day Brunch at Harrison's. Upon arrival, we were greeted and they gave us one complimentary mimosa for the mother. The hostesses seemed overwhelmed and not in good spirits, the whole seating process was chaotic and disorganized. We were seated at one table, then were asked to be moved to a different one, not much communication from the staff who showed us to the table either. Luckily, the waitress and waiter for our table saved our experience, they were friendly, attentive and warm. The Mother's Day Brunch is $95/per person, kids under 5 eat for free. It includes soft drinks, coffee, and tea, but alcoholic drinks are extra. The quality of food is excellent, and flavors are great! There was omelet station, carving station for prime ribs and ham, cheese wheel pasta, seafood station (limited options), salad, fruit, and other traditional hot breakfast options. We wish there were more meat options for the carving station though. They also have a kids section (Mac and cheese, fried mozzarella sticks, tator tots, chicken tenders etc.). Dessert station has gluten free section and regular dessert, in addition to the banana foster. Overall, it was a good experience, but nothing extraordinary for the food options. Given its Mother's Day brunch, I'd expect some special decorations in the restaurant. Unfortunately, there was no special decoration of any sort or even a sign on the table, it was a little disappointing. I knew in the past years, they gave out roses to moms, but this year, there's nothing, sad.

Yelp
Great for a staycation with young kids. The pool/waterpark is perfect size for younger kids. There is a small kids pool that is heated which was perfect for our 1.5 and 3.5 year old. Service by the pool was great. The only downside is that the room prices are pretty high all things considered. Don't know if it's worth $500+/night but def a nice hotel. Come on a weekday to avoid any crowds if you can! Kids got to feed ducks, turtles and fish by the golf course lake. You can get tokens to get the feed at the front desk! The animals were all very calm and not aggressive at all.

Yelp
So, just stayed over the 4th of July weekend, and I have to say that this place needs some serious work to be a "resort" worth making a destination spot. First thing that sticks out is the bed situation. Simply put, don't plan on getting a good nights rest when staying at this resort. Unless you like soft, mushy beds with no real support, you're not going to be happy. As one of our group put it, "it's like a 500 lb person has been sleeping in the bed for the past 3 years and they still choose not to replace it..." (actual comment that was made). Second, the food and amenities here are ok. The food is very overpriced and everything comes with the tip included. That's not so bad except when the wait staff try hiding the itemized receipts and claiming there is no tip included. The main building only has a bar and a fu fu bar at that. If you want any serious food other than pool side options, you have to go to the conference building which is a bit of a walk. Even there the prices are somewhat high, but the food does justify the expense mostly. I will note for the breakfast buffet, the pancakes, country fried steak, biscuits and gravy and even the coffee were great. The guy at the omelet bar doesn't seem to know how to make a traditional inlet, nor did he add seasoning (salt) so the omelet came out a bit bland. At $32, be ready to eat a fair bit as those going to a small breakfast won't justify the cost of this place. As for the pool/swimming situation, it is nice but again, I question the value for the cost. It was packed the entire time we were there and no lifeguards on duty whatsoever. The "lazy river" is so shallow that an adult can't float with feet through the tube without scrapping the hell out of feet or toes. The pools are also heated way too much when you consider how hot the days were. I just don't get why someone heats a pool when it is nearly 100 outside. All in all, not a place worth hitting up IMO. I was disappointed with the quality for cost breakdown of this place. Oh and for those who hit vending machines, several were not working and others had flat soda and stale snacks, so plan ahead. The golf here was real hood though also overpriced for rentals and the course fee IMO. Oh and what the heck happened in the elevators that they think they need it to smell like a French bordello where the scent bottle broke on the wall...? The elevators stink to high holy hell and are almost unusable due to the level of scent they use.

Yelp
I was here on business for the week and the service here is very good. From the airport, it's a 30 to 45 min depending upon the time and day. My flight was an evening flight (7:30pm) and I t took me 29min from the Airport and $45. If you plan to come here via your own means of transportation, there is Valet service available. However, if you are like many who are coming to attend the conference and staying on the property, there is a complimentary shuttle services into town, and when in town all local transportation is free (The benefits of being a Township.) Great service all round, from the friendly guest service staff at the front desk, to the servers at the Conference hall; All the resort personnel are very accommodating and professional. Going to the conference hall every morning, and being greeted with the smell of fresh hot coffee all throughout the building was amazing. Great spread of breakfast items and all done very well, with servers constantly refilling and refreshing the items. Additionally, There was no shortage of fresh coffee or water no matter where you went. Every morning there is Hot coffee in the Lobby and cold bottle water by the Valet post. (Just be friendly and ask the Valet attendant for a bottle and they will be more than happy to give you one). In the afternoon the lobby coffee is replaced with Iced Lemonade for you to enjoy. Currently the restaurants on the property are under renovation, with the exception of the, "Back Table Kitchen + Bar". There is another restaurant on the 2nd floor in the Conference Center called, "Tavern on the Trails" which has an amazing view of the the golf course and over looks the Driving Range. The service from both locations is outstanding, the staff are attentive, friendly, and well informed on the menu and the daily specials. (notice: Tavern on the Trails can not accept room charges. Be sure to bring your wallet.) Because of the great weather on the week I was there, I took advantage of eating the majority of my lunches at the "Back Table Kitchen + Bar". This location has seating outside with a great view of the pond and golf course. BONUS POINTS for the service. My server is a Red Sox fan and loves Big Papi. She took the time to ask where I was from and we got to talking. Additionally she remembered me, so everyday when I came in, she would know that I would want an Ice Tea to start with. The meals were very good. On my first day I had the Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich on Texas Toast (They are not joking when that say, "Things are bigger in Texas"). I actually had to think as to how I was going to eat this thing. It was delicious, the chicken was crispy and juicy and the house special sauce was a perfect zing, heat, and sweet. While having my meal, Chef Rick stopped by my table to introduce himself and ask how I was enjoying the meal. I'm very impressed with the consideration and his openness to feed back. The next meal I had here was the BBQ Brisket Sandwich which was also a great sandwich served on Texas Toast as well. The BBQ was sweet with a slight smoke and never over powered with mesquite. The brisket was so soft and broke apart easily. Unfortunately my third meal did not quite hit the mark. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles and I can say that the Waffle was very good. The pecans added a nice texture and sweetness to the dish. However, the chicken was not crispy. I was expecting something like the chicken I had in their sandwich, with a crunchy crust and juicy meat on the inside. Instead the skin felt soggy and didn't have that, crunch. Otherwise the Chicken was delicious, just not the texture I was expecting. The Pool area is currently under renovation. Additionally the pool restaurant and bar, "Cool Water Bar & Grill" is also closed for renovation. However, I saw some people restocking the bar and I asked when they would be open. The manager, Peyton informed me that they will be opening Next week (March, 10...This Friday) She told me that they have a new system they just installed this year, where guests will be able to order from their servers at their beach chairs via an ipad and the drinks and food will come straight out. Very excited to see this work and interested in coming back with the family to enjoy this pool. There is also renovations being done to the rooms and hallway areas. I was staying in the 5000s building and was having issues with slow internet. Many times I would have to go to the lobby to take my video meetings. Although this was some what inconvenient, it did get me out of my room and enjoy the fire place in the lobby and also the fire pits out along the pond. It was nice sitting in the large comfy lawn chairs by an open fire while working. All in all it was a good experience. I'm hoping I can find a chance to come back and experience this resort when all the renovations are done and it's fully operational.

Yelp
Beautiful property, awesome valet staff and good breakfast at Harrison's. Back Table an underwhelming restaurant, hotel needs maintenance/updating, manager on duty really underwhelming borderline customer service tone deaf, and way over priced given very low occupancy. I am a Hilton fan but will stay at Embassy Suites next time in area. Hoping they turn things around since the resort has such potential!

Bea B.

Yelp
Underwhelming Spring Break The advertising and website raved about the "spring break experience". We booked expecting to have options for countless activities. Most of the staff were confused when asked about the "passport", or location of activities, the cooking class was only one day of Spring break but not advised that way. The kid activities were lacking and there weren't alternative plans for rainy days. The cost of the resort did not measure up. We will not be returning.

Yelp
We came here for a quick boocation. Online the rooms look really big and nice and for the price I figured ok let's do it. Check in is at 4pm. We got there at 5on a Friday. Check in was fast. We got a king room with the balcony. This room was supposed to co.e woth a nice view but alot of trees were in the way For the price of the room it was definitely a disappointment when we walked in. The TV is super old fashion amd small. The night stands were very dusty No microwave in the rooms or anywhere on site to us. We ordered room service and it came with a $14 service fee and a $5 delivery fee. Now, I have never paid a delivery fee for room service. There are so many fees that after our 2 days stay was well over $1,300. Definitely could have done a better all inclusive for this price. Good things: Rebecca was a worker there and was super friendly amazing. She is the reason they are getting two stars. I give her 5 stars personally. The food was good. We did happy hours at back table and room service. Prices are high but taste is 7/10. Lazy river was fun. We also enjoyed the adult only pool. Alot of activities for kids but not as much for adults. In summary it is an over price resort with way too many fees. I won't reccomend this resort. Im sure a nice hotel with a good pool would be better than this for the price. This place had no value for the price. $400 a night all for a small.dusty room It's a NO!

azileretsis Y.

Yelp
Make sure your room isn't too close to the lobby. No quiet hours, loud guests until at least 11.30p. Not a room with a view, it is a room with a lot of noise. Hampton Inns had less noise. Hilton honor status not important. Status was wrong on the TV but you can double check at the front desk. Changing rooms, they were not helpful. You are responsible for switching rooms. Maybe additional training would be helpful. Breakfast is OK. It is not a five star hotel and the breakfast is fine if your expectations are low. 5000s rooms have a/c and noise problems. My husband is sleeping with earphones.

Sasha Z.

Yelp
Do not come here if you are a single couple with no kids. This place was crowded with kids running around everywhere. We don't mind the kids, but the walls in the resort rooms are paper thin. You can hear every word your neighbors are saying. Didn't help that both nights we stayed kids are yelling, screaming, and laughing next door until past 10pm. Room is ok, nothing super fancy. Your money will be better spent somewhere else. The pool area was cool but very very crowded. The hot tub was dirty and was not hot. More like a luke warm bath. The only good things I could say about this place is comfy bed, big tv in room, and the water pressure in the shower is like a super strong jet.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Amazing for families! My boys had a blast! Great options of activities as a country club - something for everyone. Golf, tennis, water park and the grounds are well maintained. The room was cozy and I enjoyed the balcony. The sheets were Uber soft and beds were cozy. The bathroom/shower was older and outdated. I really wanted a jacuzzi tub. I hope they update that. Great service that is prompt with the valet, room service was super fast.

Natalie C.

Yelp
I want to start off by saying, I was highly disappointed. I stayed in the past and had a wonderful experience. Now, everything was either broken or being renovated. It's funny though because on the website, all the spa packages are still listed as if the spa is actually open. I brought my daughter here for her 23rd birthday and I didn't hold back on the room. I got us an executive suite that was spacious but extremely outdated. The table had terrible water damage and we found large tree roaches in our room. Only one restaurant was open or you could get room service. The fees for room service were absurd on top of the long wait for our food. My daughter and I walked outside to catch a ride to dinner with the golf cart shuttle, the driver just looked at us and walked away and didn't come back. We waited for a while thinking he was coming right back....nope. We ended up having to walk. After dinner we wanted to relax in the hot tub....the water was cold, the life guard was on TikTok and didn't speak a word of English. I had to call the resort from the pool to find out if there was something wrong. The lady at the desk said she would find out and call me back. The call back confirmed that the hot tub was in fact broken. I informed the manager that I was not happy with my stay so far. My daughter and I had planned to get pedicures and massages. Sorry can't do that either. The whole trip was a disaster. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the food was alright and the bed was kinda comfortable. Definitely not worth all the money I wasted there. Won't be going back.

Yelp
We booked one night at the woodlands resort the weekend of our one year wedding anniversary in January. We heard good things about the resort so I was excited to go especially because it's so close to houston where we live. Since we only had maybe a day to do everything we tried to do as much as we could. They also upgraded us to a really nice room! The view was great with it being the golf course and the fountain in the middle. The room we got also included a lounge. We ate lunch at the back table restaurant behind the resort- which was okay, wasn't amazing for vegetarian options We rented bikes for $15 I think it was supposed to be $15 for two hours but we came back within an hour and they told us we could come back and use the bikes with no extra cost whenever we wanted to. The bike route was really nice- I wished they had some signs because we got lost a few times but the bike trails can go forever- it takes you out of the resort and into streets, neighborhoods. We ended up getting a bit lost and using our google maps to get back which took us through the gold course. A staff member stoped us and directed us to the right area. Had a great time! We asked about the tennis courts- we were told the tennis courts rentals are owned by the woodlands golf and tennis recreation center so it's separate the resort but they do give a discount to resort guest. We called and they had an opening at 3pm we walked over and they gave us all the equipment and we paid $12 for an hour of tennis together- not bad at all. We walked around and explored a bit the water park area was closed because it was winter which was disappointing, they did have a hot tub but it was just too cold to be out in a bathing suit. There was a lot of construction too inside the resort hallways and the only restaurant open was the back table one since the others were down for renovations. I'd recommend anyone coming to come during the summer time. The water park includes a lazy river tubing and slides which seem really nice! I had a good time but definitely want to come back when they have the other restaurants open, construction is done, and it's summer so we can enjoy the water.

Nessa R.

Yelp
Omg! You have to come enjoy the pool. The beds! What is not to love.!. Indulge! Definitely love this place. Wish it was closer to the areas I have to be in while in Houston. Would recommend and would come back! Spend the money, worth it!

Thu N.

Yelp
I've read a handful of negative reviews about this place and am glad we still gave it a shot. We stayed for only one night but enjoyed our short time there. Our bathroom and carpet in our room were very clean. All the staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful. The pool, pool service, children's activities and valet were great. If you haven't been here, you should really check it out for yourselves. I hope your experience will be as memorable as ours.

Lucy C.

Yelp
Well I'd have to say when I first saw the reviews I thought about canceling then as I read through them I thought what exactly are people complaining about? We stayed over the 4th of July weekend and had an amazing time, even when we got there and the check in line was long they were handing out cupcakes to everyone and the line moved fast, the only thing they don't mention is just cause check in is at 4 your room may not be ready by then, which was fine for us we wanted to immediately go to the pool. The mattress were extremely comfortable the rooms felt more like at home than just a hotel stay the grounds are beautiful and the staff at the pool area even with how extremely busy they were always had a smile on their faces and were so nice and helpful, everything from check in and check out is or can be digital and you don't have to carry your wallet with you around they'll let you charge it to the room which was nice. The food portion at the pool and food pricing was extremely fair alcohol drink prices were a little high but we paid them of course. I'll say two things stuck out, the pool when it was busy was hard to find somewhere to get lounge chairs but no biggie we got a table and waited for lounge chairs to be open, the second thing is when I called while at the pool to see if our room was ready the man at the front desk who answered the phone was argumentative about how I paid in full in advance and how I need to get my ID and card on file which I had already done and told me I needed to do again when the lady I checked in with said my digital card would be available once my room was ready and he asked who she was when I went in what room I had being extremely rude! Besides him everything and everyone was really great! We'll definitely be back!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Restaurant overpriced for the quality received. Stood at the bar for 15 mins without being acknowledged. Finally someone said I'll be there in a minute, but then did not come back. Finally just walked away. Frustrating for a place that talks about caring for guests.

Wendell S.

Yelp
This is my second time coming to the Woodlands Resort and I was not disappointed. I hope to come again soon one day.

Samettria B.

Yelp
So we made reservations at Harrison's dining for the Mothers Day Brunch. When I tell you they didn't disappoint. I made reservations for 15 and it was absolutely wonderful! This buffet was the BEST by far and I have gone to several Mothers Day brunches. So many carving stations and so many selections from seafood with sushi and fresh oysters to fresh pastas and traditional breakfast choices. There was an awesome dessert display with a chef making bananas foster served over ice cream! They even had a little station for the kids to fix there own food of course with adults assistance. It was so thoughtful to include all ages. The managers were constantly walking around making sure all guest were comfortable and enjoying the food. I'm not sure about the stay but the dinning is on point. I believe this was their first time offering the Mothers day Brunch and they all did a great job! They gave every mom who walked in a beautiful rose and a mimosa. My mom really enjoyed herself. I hope they offer it again next year because we will be back and would love to make this a family tradition. If you are wondering why not 5 stars. Just simply structure. Since I am familiar with the resort it was not hard for me to find the dinning area but my guest were a little agitated over finding the building. Construction is going on therefore I believe a few signs directing guest to the proper location on the premises would have helped. But the food and service helped my guest get over that part real quick. Great job everyone!

Hunter O.

Yelp
Unfortunate. We were looking forward to such a good experience here! Love the area but won't stay here again. The facilities are okay..except the rooms...even the most expensive of them are beat up and look straight out of the 60's. Staff is unapologetically rude and abrasive. Hospitality is poor. In my opinion, management can't handle any conflicts well.

Bec B.

Yelp
Okay, I didn't actually stay overnight in a room, we were only here for anime texas and we were only going on Saturday + we live close enough we didnt need to stay overnight, anyway, onto the actual review of the hotel! It's super nice inside, super spacious, employees are super sweet!! if you were there for anime texas on 10/29/2022 and saw an angel devil cosplayer from chainsaw man and was walking around with a todoroki from my hero academia and tohru from fruits basket that was me, my sisters friend and my sister!!

Amber F.

Yelp
Beautiful place on a golf course and mini water park for the kids, nestled in the Woodlands, close to restaurants and shopping!

Tom H.

Yelp
If you just want to play golf, this is a perfectly fine place to stay. If you actually want a nice hotel, maybe not. I'm here for three days--two hangers in the closet and the shelves were filthy. I probably ruined a washcloth wiping them down. No access to a room service menu. I called the desk and they told me to visit the website. The market is only open from 10am - 6pm. The bar is literally 10 feet from the check-in desk and was so loud I had to practically yell to be heard. Nothing about this place creates a high-end experience. Very disappointing.

Yelp
I drive for Uber. I was dropping off a customer here at this resort. After arriving at their drop off location I pulled off in the parking lot to see where my next destination would be. Not even a total of 5 minutes there was a security guard at my car window asking how may we help you. After telling him I drive for Uber & just dropped off a client staying here he said this is private property & that he'll be calling the police. Extremely unprofessional security patrolling the parking lot. He then proceeded to get behind my bmw to take my license plate so he can report me to the police. I left & laughed it off as I was doing nothing wrong but looking on my GPS to see where I'd be headed next. I can assure you I won't be picking up or driving anymore customers to that resort. I actually live in the woodlands & I've never had this issue. Security is unprofessional at this location.

Yelp
Check- in was fast and easy - we were in our room within 8 minutes of arrival. The staff was courteous and helpful at all times. The views from the rooms and restaurants were beautiful! Our room was very comfortable and clean. People wore masks where appropriate. The food was delicious and best of all were the pools. Their pool areas are a perfect playground for children in one area. There is a slightly quieter pool nearby and a lovely lazy river last. They also have a little jacuzzi tucked away near the quieter pool. (If you need time completely away from children, they have another large pool and jacuzzi near the convention area that is adults only). Everything was taken care of beautifully!

Yelp
Better to stay at the Marriott on the Waterway! Poor service. Not flexible. Do not recommend.

Yelp
Gorgeous resort! The pool area is very similar to the JW Marriot in San Antonio, but a LOT less people. It's very relaxing.

Yelp
What a GREAT resort for a nice 'staycation' for my daughters 11th birthday celebration! I didn't exactly know what to expect and worried this resort may be too much geared towards adults, I am so glad I was wrong. I highly recommend bringing KIDS with you here, my 11 & 4 year old daughters loved being here and so did I! The pool areas were amazing and LOVED the water slides and lazy river!! I love the layout of this place and just how beautiful everything is in general. So much fun for the summer! Breakfast buffet = a bit pricey but delicious with SO many fresh options and kids 5 and under eat free! The service was exactly what a nice resort should be and I appreciated it very much. We left stuffed and happy. Hotel room= nice basic room with a balcony facing the pool areas. Bed wasn't the most comfortable but we were so tired at the end of the day it didn't even matter. I highly recommend bringing a white noise machine to block out hallway noise. Alright now let's talk why I removed the 5th star. Three words: Cool Water Cafe. What a horribly ran, unbelievable tacky, horrible service addition to this great resort. DO NOT expect high class from this group for a second, and also the food definitely seems like it came from a bag in the freezer. This group can almost wreck your entire experience at the resort if you let them. So if you do order food or drinks from here due to the convenience as being pool side, understand what you'll get. They seem to really think they are too cool for customers, very slow, forgetful, unorganized and just rude and unhappy in general. My servers main concern and question was always "you want to close your tab now? Or leave it open?" Got asked this many times while sitting at the dining tables, but never really was ever concerned about actually bringing us out our meals. Resort management needs to re-hire and teach their staff how to represent their company with some manners and class. This was possibly the worst service I've ever experienced but I just can't let this resort down more stars because of this group. Overall this place was such a fun time and I would love to come back sometime in the future with my family!

Yelp
Nothing but positive things to say!! I had also read some negative reviews about the staff, specifically since Hilton took over. I'm glad we went. Regarding staff -- Rae, who checked us in, and Amber and Rachel(?), the nice bartenders who took care of us, were outstanding. They were friendly and seemed to want to help us have a great time. The lazy river had plenty of inner tubes for us to use; the lazy river, pool, and hot tub were clean and well-maintained. Love the towel service that made it easy to exchange towels when they got wet. Room accommodations were fine -- we had a King bed with the white Hilton bedcovers, our TV was 4K, the shower was large and clean, etc., etc. The four of us agree that this would make a great annual vacation for us.

Yelp
Facility is really nice but wifi sucks. Valet is almost $30/day Guest parking is far and during summer you have to walk in the heat. Hotel rooms are normal just like Hampton Inn or Double Tree.

Yelp
This was my first time at The woodlands Resort, my husband and I decided on a staycation. First I would like to applaud the entire staff for a job well done. The property was spotless and there was always someone cleaning something our entire stay. We booked a suite and it was great, almost 709 sq feet of bliss. This establishment is really geared towards families with small children, there are numerous pools and an amazing lazy river. There are water slides, splash pads and several different types of pools to choose from. The pool cafe was nice and it didn't take too long to get food or drinks. As an adult with no kids I knew going in that there were probably going to be a lot of kids as this has a small water park. However the chaos that reigned at the last river was insanity. Small children were left unattended by parents who were too busy partying and doing their own thing, kids were literally climbing the walls and jumping off the top into the 3 ft lazy river on the back wall where there waves were coming out, floats were left blocking up the whole lazy river and the kids were causing such a raucous and disturbance that you could hardly relax without being jumped on or splashed. My concern was not for my comfort but for the safety of the kids. These kids were acting so reckless I was afraid I was going to be floating by and seeing one face down at some point. I really believe that they need to make the lazy river only accessible to children under adult supervision since the parents were so negligent to leave their kids unsupervised. For the almost $1200 I spent on 2 days that was supposed to be relaxing and fun it was a waste. Inside it was just as mush chaos, you had crying and screaming kids in the hall and the rooms next door, I was woken up multiple times by someone one throwing a temper tantrum at 2 in the morning not to mention the kids running down the halls acting like complete lunatics. I have raised 3 children and I can tell you that if mine would have ever acted the way I witnessed these kids act there would have been major consequences. I can say for the most part our suite was nice, there was no housekeeping available but you could ask for extra towels if needed and leave the dirty ones outside your door for pick up. The TV in the bedroom did not work but the one in the living room did. There was a mini fridge which was nice to store drinks and snacks in. The couch was comfy and there was also a half bath as well as a full bath with walk in shower and wall to wall counter tops. The living room also had a nice dinning table if you wanted to have dinner in your room as well as kuerig coffee maker. Although this property has the potential of being nice, the lack of relaxation an chaos would definitely detour me from returning. Management really needs to evaluate their policies or enforce them.

Yelp
Just finished up staying here for a work conference & have to say there were good things & some not so good things Good: the grounds are very pretty. The food was better than expected, although very heavy on meaty dishes.....but hey, it's TX. Each night the kitchen made special meals for the 3 veggies in the group. Beds were comfy. WiFi was strong. A/C was awesome Bad: there was a hole in my sheets.....and they were never changed The towels were like sandpaper. My toiletries were never replenishes. There was rust all over the bathtub (gross) as well as long black hairs all over the bathroom floor The worst: they don't recycle! No bins anywhere & this is a huge facility. Boo for that! The conference facilities were nice. The chairs were comfy enough to sit all day w/ no back pains. Outside the rooms was a never ending supply of fruit, coffee, sodas, cookies & candies So all in all, after weighing all the niceties & not so niceties have to say this was Meh, OK

Yelp
I've stayed at The Woodlands Resort over 20 times in the last 10 years and I've noticed such a downgrade in the food. It's so disappointing. The breakfast buffet is probably half the size it used to be. About the same as what you would get staying at the holiday inn express. No waffle station, no omelette station, and no cold cereal! The food that they did serve however was not bad, except for the runny eggs. Cool water café, wow. NOTHING like how it used to be! No more wraps, no chicken strip platter, no more nachos (which was my favorite thing to order) and no fun drinks! I used to get the piña colada in the yard souvenir cup. But the most annoying thing is that this cafe is only open on the weekends. We were there on a Monday and it was so hot outside and there was nowhere for us to get water! I hate to leave such a bad review but I am so disappointed. This used to be my favorite resort but the "resort" experience is gone. They need to step it up!

Yelp
Spent a relaxing and enjoyable weekend here at the woodlands resort. Although we go there earlier than our room was ready, we were given wristbands providing access to the resort pool and lazy river area. Tons of shaded seating and various sized cabanas. Some were shaded in cushion beds and others were open room cabanas with tv, lounge chairs, fridge boxes and fans. The front entrance pool seemed more family friendly and had many kid friendly activities throughout the day including karaoke. The back area pool closer to the cabanas and lazy river felt more adult friendly which is where we hung out. There a hideaway hot tub which was also nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We selected a room that provided a gorgeous view of the golf course. The lobby and hotel itself was Gorgeous. We woke up before the sun and took a gift cart ride around the grounds then take a relaxing walk along the goft course. In the evening you can buy s'more packs at the lobby and mingle with guests at the fire pits. They offer bike rentals, paddle boarding and kayak rentals as well. We can't wait to stay here again.

Yelp
I absolutely love The Woodlands Resort. My family has been going here for years. The Oreo shake is positively exceptional. Slides are awesome. Lazy river is so relaxing(and fun). I cannot describe the joy even imagining this place brings me. I am in love. Please visit.

Yelp
Enjoyed the pool area, there's both heated and non heated. Water slide and basketball in the pool that's great for kids. The restaurant is overpriced and food not too good. The bar area is also overpriced, Cleaning staff is friendly, but limited in English. Will stay here again in near future mainly to enjoy the pool and hot tub.

Yelp
It is a beautiful property and for the most part, it was nice and we had a great stay but there are some things that frustrated me, and they have some room for improvement, especially for the price. I was expecting to come and not have to worry about a thing! My biggest frustration was the food and beverage service availability and with two kids who eat at random times, this was hard especially becasue I didn't plan to bring snacks since we were going to a RESORT. -There is no food or beverage service past 10pm. And that's IF they don't decide to close early, on a whim which happened on night so it stopped at 9pm. -There is no sundries area for late night snack purchase you are at the mercy of the vending machine and the drink vending is cash or change only, which is not something I carry, ever. -In room dining takes a break FROM 2pm-5pm so you have no late lunch into dinner service and with 2 little kids that need a pool break in the middle of the day, that was extremely disheartening and to not be prepared left us at the mercy of the lack luster vending machine. The food was actually really good, so that was great! And the portions are large. We came during spring break and the pool was heated which was awesome. Especially since temps were 40 degrees. The hot tub was hit and miss hot. The pool area upkeep from beverages and snacks was dirty. The staff was very friendly, however. Our room was clean but there was an old coffee pod in the machine and jeans left in the drawer which is not terrible, but also makes you think what else did they miss cleaning. I believe they are renovating so hopefully the new plans have a common area for snacks and purchases after hours. But for the prices, I was really expecting a little more on the amenities list. I didn't want to have to pack a cooler to come to the resort.

Yelp
Waited 2 hours for room to be ready and finally make the long trek to the room and then the key card doesn't work!! Great start to a stay here!! Womp womp!!! Update: the famous firecracker drinks we looked forward to having were already sold out before the weekend!! One of the main reasons we chose this resort over a competitor!!

Yelp
Let me first start off with the one complaint. There were VERY limited dining options. I found myself leaving the resort multiple times to grab dinner do my family. I understand this is a weird time for businesses, but I leave reviews for potential customers and it's definitely something to be noted! Time for the good! We booked two rooms, one "pool walk out" room and one regular hotel room. Without asking, they booked the two right across the hall from each other, it was a really small detail that I appreciated. All of the staff and the pool restaurant waitresses were beyond amazing. There was not one person that we felt like we had a less than nice encounter with. The age range of my kids are 9-12. They really enjoyed themselves and I liked that I was able to lay out by the pool and they were able to do so much where I could still see them. They loved the lazy river and the slides! All in all, it was a fantastic get away but next time I hope there's more dining options!!!

Yelp
What a complete waste of an experience. When we got here the front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. Gave us our room key, that was it. Had to go back and ask about pool, towels, a map off the property. After that i just stopped asking, never got a friendly or helpful person. As for the concierge level, what's the point. As it was explained to me, the summer is over so there are no amenities. So you sell the aviator level as different level of experience, it's not. Don't waste your money. Rooms are nice enough, book a regular room, don't try anything special. It might be the wrong day. Looking for a cup of coffee after 1130 in the morning meant driving to Starbucks, not a single cup of coffee on property after 11 am. By the way, this tray of dirty dishes sat here for two days

Yelp
There's so much to love about this resort, but during the weekend this love affair ends. If you're looking for an adult weekend getaway, this isn't the place for you. By Friday afternoon it's absolutely overrun with screaming kids. There's nowhere to escape the running and yelling. The pool is open till 10PM and the kids were there till 10 screaming at shouting. If you have a pool facing room, you're gonna hear it all. There are beautiful rooms facing the greenery, but on Friday and Saturday they play kid movies on a Jumbotron with a huge speaker. So there goes that serenity. The s'mores fire pit is absolutely amazing, until dozens of kids lay out their sticky marshmallows and chocolates on the chair cushions and you sit in it. (Speaking from personal experience.) Long story short, there's no reprieve from the kids and the noise on the weekends. During the week the resort is a gem. The walls though are paper thin and you'll hear doors slamming, people talking, showers, etc. the valet is very accommodating and hospitable. The front desk is absolutely clueless as to where things are on the property. They'll give you a map and you figure it out. If you want your room cleaned you have to call and request it, same with fresh towels and toiletries. Our room was a hike away from everything...most rooms are. We had a balcony room but the pool was so noisy, we didn't spend any time there. The rooms are huge. Tall ceilings, beautiful views. They do have a shuttle but it doesn't run to their sister property, it takes you to the mall or shops at Market Street.

Yelp
We visited this place for the second time... was very disappointed! On Wednesday afternoon we headed to the pool and noticed a lady in her mid 40's sitting in the shallow part of the pool and was peeing... there was a LARGE YELLOW ring around her... it was very gross and disgusting... That a grown woman can't even get up and go to the restroom to do her business! On the Friday.. note.. we had requested a poolside room!!! They looked all the gates to the pool except the main entrance... now for the MONEY that we had paid to stay at the so called Resort.. I would have thought they could have handled or some how taken care of the security for the entrances ... I don't think we will ever be back!!!

Yelp
Let's start by saying the only reason this place got 2 stars was because of the extremely nice staff at the cool water cafe by the pool and the fact that the water slide was actually fun! Aside from that i could have done without coming here or STAYING HERE! So i booked the walkout pool room which was 562 a night & i still can't figure out why. Literally NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THESE ROOMS. There was hair in the tub which was gross and i should have complained a lot more than i did but the staff would have gotten misdirected anger. So about 2 nights before our arrival i was thinking i should book for one more night because 2 nights just didn't seem like long enough but it was late so i decided to go online. I go to add the room and the same room i paid 562 for was now 335 a night! I was livid but kept my cool and called the next morning to see what could be done! These people basically refused to speak to me because well i was within the 72hr non cancellation period and they didn't have to because they were getting my money either way! The black MANAGER that i spoke with was the rudest person ever and I'm a black woman myself so DO BETTER! I was honestly prepared for terrible customer service just based on that experience alone but the staff especially the pool staff was awesome! I appreciate them for making the stay that i couldn't get out of a lot better. Then upon my arrival i was basically already checked in but the lady at the front desk put an extra hold on my account so instead of 75$ a night hold it was 150$ a night hold smh i mean couldn't be worse than paying 200$ more for a room right. The worse part is the Same rude manager said she would give me a call about the additional charge the next day but i still haven't received that call lol. Good thing i wasn't waiting for it. Overall i am writing this review in hopes that someone does better than me so book within 72 hrs of your arrival, the rooms are way cheaper. Or get a day pass and stay at a much cheaper hotel nearby if you live too far. I think the day passes are 55 and my son is 5 so he would have gotten in free! MUCH CHEAPER! The drinks and the food from the cool water cafe was worth it for convenience as well! The pool is nice, everyone from staff to guest are friendly, bring your own float for the lazy river. I was so happy i did because they didn't have enough smh! You would think with the outrageous prices they would have everything you needed. There were lights missing all over and just looked like maybe they were understaffed and that could be due to piss poor management. If you order from the cafe the bourbon blast was amazing, the French fries are good, and those nachos took the cake. Now for back table! Our waiter was awesome and they had live music which was nice as well but the food was blah! We had the patty melt , a kids burger , & the duck fat fries and none of that was good. I ordered the icebox butter lettuce with tomatoes salad and deviled eggs which i really liked. The drinks are a waste as well! I feel like we should have stayed by the pool and ate dinner there! The price would have been the same, the food would have been good, and more time by the pool. Overall would i come back? Sure if i could bypass the front desk a spend the day the pool sure. Otherwise splashtown, typhoon Texas, great wolf lodge are all much better options. Just to name a few. I'll check reviews in a few years to see if it's gotten better because i know that manager won't last that long!

Yelp
Stayed at The Woodlands Resort for a work conference. It's a beautiful location and a good venue for conferences. The hospitality and food for the conference was quite good and very generous! The hotel room was comfortable (bed and pillows) and spacious. I ordered some delicious chocolate cake for a late night treat from the Back Table - oh my, so so good! Though I did not get to utilize it, the pool area looked amazing!!! I would definitely bring my family here! The only reason for my 4 stars was because a challenge with check in even though confirmation was previously done, my room missing a coffee maker, and had no information about hotel amenities as one would normally have on the desk or nightstand.

Yelp
Management is a disgrace We booked two rooms for the weekend. About 4-5 hours in while spending time at the pool a couple of very drunk guest flipped off my 13 year old daughter and called her an asshole. Took the high road and went to a lifeguard to let them know. Lifeguard actually witness and confirmed my daughter did not instigate and that they actually saw the whole thing. And concurred the that that the other guest was in the wrong and called security. While being escorted out said guest walked past my wife and kids and told them he was going to come back and shoot my wife and kids in the face Mind you the lifeguard and security as well as several guest that came forward as witnesses. I went to mgmt and ask they call the cops as I do not take threatening to shoot my family in the face lightly. Now it gets interesting and is where mgmt being disgrace comes into play 1). Resort refused to call the cops. Said not their issue. So we called the b Cops 2) What does hotel mgmt do? Sends an asst mgr to come tell us WE HAVE TO LEAVE. ( did kick the other party out too). But Mr Mgr in Jeans was to scared to come talk to us himself. 3) This again despite us having a parade of witnesses that came forward and willingly gave a statement. To include their own security and lifeguards. 4)While leaving Mr Asst mgr told us we wete only being asked to leave bc Mr Jeans Mgr saw people talking about posting about the incident and did not want the press Hey Mr Jeans with the bad Mustache. You cant cover up what all your guest saw and were shocked at how you handled the situation. Fyi. The word disgraceful is the word used by the guest and your own staff as to how you handled this

Yelp
Parking is a bit of a walk from the resort or you can valet for $15-25. The checkin desk and restaurants are in one building. Guests stay in 3 separate buildings. Building 3000 is the front lawn. Building 4000&5000 is the pool. They're not far from each other so it's not a big deal. However the wall from your room to restaurants is a walk. We had building 3000 with balcony view of the lake and front lawn. Gorgeous view. Rooms are ok. Keurig coffee machines and ipad for room service that may not respond. Elevators are fast. Pools are super nice and fun games. There's chair food service, bar, & ice cream plus games. You can charge everything to the room. Chairs can be hard to nab when it's packed. Everything is expensive with fees here & there. Food is good but menu is limited. The woodlands dining room has a set dinner menu. It's all you can eat but you get an entree , side, and salad bar.not exactly a buffet. $22 / per person plus fees. The bistro is good but limited menu. Same menu lunch & dinner. There's a bar inside. Restaurants were pretty empty during Memorial Day weekend. We didn't check out the steakhouse Robards. $5 s'mores 7-8 pm every night. Movies by the pool at 8:15pm. Plenty of activities for kids. Unfortunately there's no coffee shop or souvenir shop on site. No place to just get a snack or coffee. Very limited food options. There's a pizza place you can only order via room service. There's kayaking and paddle boarding and paddle boating. We did paddle boating $25. No time limit but lake was tiny.

Yelp
It's a nice place but definitely lacks luxury and cleanliness. The pools were fine, golf course is nice too. The food is ok. Definitely the business center buildings need a remo ASAP. If you have $1,000 to spend here for the weekend; I strongly suggest to go somewhere else worth your money.
