"Whether you’re catching a show at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion or taking in the Woodlands’ up-and-coming dining scene, a visit to the Woodlands Resort’s Forest Oaks pool and family-friendly water park is a must. With a lagoon-style pool, water slides, waterfalls, and a lazy river to lounge in, take in the endless Texas summer sun with great food and cocktails. Expect a casual menu of bites, like cheeseburger egg rolls, wings, salads, and sandwiches, or dig into heartier dishes like the smoked pork rib platter. Adults can indulge in the resort’s selection of beer, wine, and its variety of tropical drinks, including the mojitos and rum coolers, which come in standard and large cup sizes for peak boozing." - Brittany Britto Garley

We had the absolute best day! We felt like the service was top notch! Tee was the man! He made everything fantastic. We arrived to an oasis away from the pools and fun. We were able to enjoy the fun in the sun and then also get out of the sun and enjoy some relaxation! It was th perfect day for our staycation.

Thank you so much for the wonderful people at The Woodlands Resort. Izzy has always been exceptional to deal with each year and always makes the experience fun. Aurora was someone we met this year. She did an excellent job with all of the activities. Looking forward to staying again next year. I’m giving a five star review because overall this is an excellent place with excellent people and excellent customer service. There was one unresolved issue concerning the arcade that was very unfortunate. After spending almost $50 in the machine to purchase game cards we find out that almost every game is broken. When we asked for some help, Giana didn’t seem to care. She told us to save our arcade cards for the next time we visit which would be a year away. Her lack of customer service was the only negative part of our stay. Definitely a five star hotel with five star service minus our one unresolved issue.

Stayed here for a long weekend in June. Our family had an amazing time. Kids loved the pool, lazy river, water slides, pool side ice cream(for cost), and free daily kids activities. It’s such a relaxing place for adults too and as diamond members we will definitely be back! Go early to get a chair in the shade. Great poolside food/drink service. Definitely bring water shoes though to protect your feet on the lazy river. We packed drinks and food but just note there is a mini fridge but no microwave. Hotel is pet friendly and there are walking paths all over as well as dog waste stations behind the hotel. My only negative is although the pool was open until 10pm, we got locked in the pool area and couldn’t leave at 9:45 one night. Us and several other families had to walk around and find an employee to unlock the gate so we could return to the hotel.

We stayed here last summer. It was so beautiful. Rooms were cozy . Food was good! Drinks was too good. Loved that they had a lazy river and hot tub. Wish they had a maybe a bigger kid splash zone. They do have a kids pool and slide. Also foam or bubble party. Service was great. Breakfast is charged to the room so do be careful. But the water at night is so pretty. This place is hidden off and not too many know about it which is crazy. Best resort or lodge around the Houston area.

We visited The Woodlands for our yearly family trip. Our family of 8 includes our young granddaughter who has some special needs which include mobility challenges, deafness, visual impairment and nonverbal autism. As a family with a disabled child, it’s difficult to find facilities that support you. Our visit was incredible thanks to Izzy choosing the best rooms for us. It was obvious the care that went into analyzing what would be best for our family. I am so appreciative of staff like her. The children’s area was perfect for our toddlers with plenty of shaded seating. They enjoyed both the splash pad and small pool area. Our server Peyton greeted us everyday and knew our chosen drinks and was very attentive. This was a wonderful family trip experience for us.

I had a great experience with Rae the front desk agent during my stay. From the moment I arrived, they were welcoming, professional, and efficient. Check-in was smooth and quick, and they took the time to answer all my questions about the hotel amenities and nearby attractions. What stood out most was their genuine friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond. Whether it was helping with restaurant recommendations or providing extra towels promptly, their service made a big difference in the quality of my stay. Highly recommend this hotel largely because of the excellent front desk service. Thank you for making my visit so pleasant!

I was surprised with a Mother’s Day stay here, and it was a nice experience. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool— it was clean, and had a great view. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Breakfast was delicious! It’s $20 per adult for the all-you-can-eat buffet, and it’s definitely worth it. They even have a hot omelet station, which was a nice touch. I forgot! Their bacon was thick and so good.. lolz .. I don’t even like bacon..

It was a really nice facility but it needs attention. Here are the positives:: - There are two 18 hole golf courses onsite. - At least 9 tennis courts. - A path that you can get your steps in or miles. - A water park with lazy river, splash pads, two pools and water slides. - An arcade with a couple of games and claws. - There is a beautiful venue for weddings and meetings (you just have to see it to truly enjoy it). - Our room was nice, comfy bed, toasty shower. - Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, but there is always someone on the edge. The negative:: The focus may have been on Easter because there were a lot of things neglected. - Flowers in clear vases were almost empty with water stains and murky water at the bottom. - Need to power wash dirt dobber nest on balconies. - A few neglected fire pits with broken or loose stones. - The age of the facility is showing on the room ceilings. You can see lines where the sheet rock meet fairly easily. - **Let’s talk about the onsite restaurant… Oil lamp on the dining tables were burned out. Random critters like geckos and snakes find their way inside the restaurant. Also the service was really slow. It took almost an hour for three items to arrive. Brisket Mac and cheese, burnt ends (which was a starter item) and cornbread muffins (50 mins..!?). There were people that sat after us with larger parties get their food before us. It was not worth the $80 spent. Oh, and there needs to be a dress code of some sort because someone came in smelling like the back of a garbage truck. They sat near our table and totally messed up our meal. Needless to say we left shortly afterwards. Final verdict:: Despite the downsides, we are willing to try again at a later date with our children to see if it was an issue with the holiday weekend or if this is what can be expected regardless.

Yelp
I can't say much on all the amenities they have. Wife and I checked in late and left early so didn't take advantage of anything but the room. Very nice and comfortable. A/C worked great.

Yelp
Absolutely Terrible. Thought we'd go here for Easter lunch today. It had been years and previously enjoyed it. Today was another matter. The food was good except for the oysters on the half shell. They were quite fishy and more than one of us tried them. The room was a large banquet room with no windows or decor. Previous years, they had used the restaurant that at least had ambiance and views. A much nicer experience. The wait staff was sporadic and unorganized. For the money, $100.00 a person, go elsewhere as there's too many places that have great food, ambiance for a great family lunch and service that is so much better. When they add the gratuity automatically, any size party, and you have to get your own water because servers weren't around, you may want to go somewhere else. Greatly disappointed as they were out to serve as many as possible with the least effort, no decor, & almost non existent service. We'll stick to better places.

Yelp
witnessed staff blocking handicapped persons from using handicapped spot behind valet barricades, then physically intimidating them when they (and I) asked why. answers: so hotel staff could use the "convenient" spot for their service carts, paraphrasing "if they let the handicapped persons park their car there, they'd likely run their cars into other expensive cars in the valet area" I can't remember a time that I've been more appalled by hotel staff behavior. Please take this into account before giving them any of your business. video: https://www.flickr.com/gp/jeff-hughes/82eN27 this was from just after I asked This gentleman followed me and my kids back to my car and further berated me for my inquiry.

Yelp
Totally disappointed in this resort which came highly recommended. No flavored creamer for coffee A.C. wasn't working in room & host David was rude when informed. At 10:30 at night (shouldn't have mattered what time but this made it even that much worse) he asked if I wanted to come get new room key or did I want someone to bring it to me. Da'ah, bring it to me. At night, the pool was dark, several lights were out or whatever. Unacceptable. In the area of the sauna was pitch black. NOT SAFE Totally didn't meet expectations $24 PP Breakfast was good which was given to us due to horrible hospitality. Don't waste your money

Yelp
The resort was at 98% capacity yet they continued to allow the purchase of day passes. The pools were totally overcrowded and filled with people who may or may not have purchased a day pass anyway. After reporting an incident, the manager informed me they had no security on site. It was obvious many of the people in the pool area simply walked in without anyone verifying whether they stayed at the resort or at least purchased a day pass. This is an unsafe and overcrowded resort.
