"Filipino pop-up Mansueta’s has gained quite the following in recent months, as chef/owner Nikko Cagalanan has made his rounds throughout the Lowcountry at breweries and coffee shops like Charles Towne Fermentory and Second State Coffee. The Filipino-born chef, who named his pop-up in honor of his grandmother, has now found a more permanent location at Workshop." - Parker Milner

Google
Such a fun spot! It’s set up cafeteria style, you order your food at the counter, grab a number, and they bring it right to your table. The menu has something for everyone: pizzas, chicken and waffles, salads, sandwiches, tacos, tons of variety. They also have a full bar, and I love that they serve Syd’s Sodas (kind of like a dirty soda twist). Plenty of space inside, great for families or larger groups, and the staff was super friendly. We went on a Saturday and got to enjoy live music, which made the vibe even better. Definitely kid-friendly and a great place to hang out!

Google
A great place to go. Lots of variety of food and really nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating during the summer. Parking is pretty small and I fairly busy. Carpool if you can.

Google
What a great use of the old Libby's building. Ordering stations make it easy and the staff is very friendly. Great food and the gluten free pizza crust was a hit too. Loads of room & space for diners and drinkers. Definitely recommend.

Google
Our first visit here. It's kind of like a food court with a bar. There are several little counter order restaurants around a seating area where u can place an order and they will bring it to you. There is also a bar where u can order drinks to take to your table. We had a pizza from Reads which was good and had a dessert from Libby's which was excellent. We were there to see The Soul Train, a band that we like, and we had a good time.

Google
A quirky place. 5 restaurants and a bar and barbershop in 1 place. Food is delivered to your table, but you have to order it at 1 of the 5 counters, depending on what you want. A bit noisy by the bar, but conversation was still easy. Definitely a place to try out.

Awesome chicken sandwiches. Had the Nashville hot and Asian zing. Both great

We finally tried workshop food hall and bar. We went without our kids but plan to return for a family lunch or dinner. Our kids will love it. There are lots of options, from pizza to Mexican to BBQ and even desserts. Pick your restaurant and order and pay individually at each spot. They give you a number and bring all items out to your table. Good serving size for the price. There is also a full bar! It has a huge indoor seating area and outside seating as well. Staff was nice and helpful when we asked questions. I highly recommend the walleye tacos at Julio's Tacos.

Google
A huge thank you to Heather and the team for providing us with an awesome experience! We were in Rochester for a sports tournament and we brought a large crew to The Workshop Food Hall and they were able to accommodate our group so that we could all sit by each other! There were plenty of great food options, so there was something for everyone! Service was fast and accurate. Heather was also very helpful and available for any questions we had. We will definitely be back again for future events!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I really love their pizzas. they have great pizzas. I also love their other foods too.

J A.

Yelp
Good variety, but a pain to order from each individual restaurant. Especially with a family that wants different things. The booths are a little too small, tables are small. Foosball area gets loud with kids. Tacos and guacamole were really good. Sliders had a sauce that was too sweet and too much. Wings and cheese curds were good. The food came out quickly. Nice servers. Clean restrooms.

Mayra P.

Yelp
Customer service was bad, I was there and ask about update my combo the casher didn't respond, 2 times , just took my order ..

Yelp
Great spot for something a little different. A newer concept combining multiple food options in a "food hall" restaurant style that offers pizza, burgers, Mexican and sandwiches all under one roof. Great atmosphere and excellent service; this place is a fun spot with good energy and lots of options to meet the needs of a diverse group.

Yelp
I like the idea of Workshop Food Hall. While I only ate from Reid's Pizza, I liked the menus from all the vendors. It took me a couple passes of reading menus and a tense game of eeny-meanie to decide between chicken, burgers, tacos, or pizza. I am still thinking about the Meat Raffle Pizza a week later with the melty cheese and soft Detroit-style crust and crispy pepperoni cups. One pizza at $19.95 would feed 2 people, especially if you're getting food from other vendors. The bartender was friendly and helpful with suggestions, especially with local beers. Here's why it's only 3 stars for me: atmosphere. It's far too kid friendly. I often dine alone, but im not looking for silence or fine dining. But I'm also not looking for raucous tables of 14 year old boys out for their own pizza party. There is a Foosball table right in the dining room so after the food that table of boys plays and cheers with every tap of the ball. Dining alone, on a date, out with friends, I wouldn't return to the food hall on a Saturday afternoon. But Reids Pizza definitely deserves to be picked up and enjoyed at home.

Yelp
Overall, experience was fine. The DJ on Halloween was good. The place was packed and the bartenders still moved pretty fast. Also, taco truck was immaculate. However...the bathroom situation????!!!!!!???!!!! I don't have words. I wouldn't go back based on that experience alone. I was in line for 32 minutes. Insanity.

Yelp
Cool, low key vibe. The set up: A few "kitchens" to pick from. Basically 4 walk up registers where you can order food: tacos, burgers, hot dogs, chicken + waffles, and pizza. The servers bring the food to you. There is a bar to get alcoholic drinks. Plenty of seating. The food: as above- 4 different types of food to order. I had the Chicago dog- almost like home. Only downside was the bun was a little hard. Though they did remember to add the sport pepper (most others claiming to be Chicago style miss this!). Hubby enjoyed the tacos. Chips and queso were great too. The loaded fries were ok- a little soggy, but that was likely due to the toppings. The small size is huge! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
What an awesome spot to gather with friends in Rochester! It's so awesome to see cool stuff like food halls making its way into the city. A group of us gathered here earlier this week, and our experience was exceptional. SPACE: This unique building has been around since the 30s and used to be the workshop for the old Seneca food processing plant across the street. It's got a cool industrial look with the buildings story written on the front entrance wall and relics like the Seneca sign throughout! SEATING: There is SO much seating here, you can easily bring a group and find a spot inside or outside. We opted for the patio with a view of the famous Corn Cob water tower and sunset. The patio is dog friendly too! They do have live music inside often for folks sitting inside. FOOD: There are 3-4 food stalls running which provides several food options to please everyone in the group! I didn't personally eat during this visit, but the salads folks in our group got were massive and looked delish. DRINK: They have an awesome signature cocktail menu at a really affordable price! Many of the cocktails were $10, which is a huge perk coming from the Twin Cities. They have draft and can options as well, plus mocktail offerings. SERVICE: This was truly a highlight - our service was exceptional. The bartender went out of his way to chat with me, help me pick a cocktail, and make me feel welcome. The owner, Kari, also made sure to check in with our group and see if we needed anything. The staff working at each food stall were smiling and welcoming. This is what really sets Workshop apart! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. A great space for date night, with a furry friend, or to bring a group!

Yelp
Here attending my first community @Yelp event! The place is unique in that it has basically four restaurants in one. Mexican, Burgers, Chicken and Pizza are the selections. Plenty of seating inside and out. We elected to enjoy the beautiful evening. Not much of a view but not bad either. The iconic corn cob water tower is across the street. The ordering was via 4 different counters. No lines today so service was fast. The table service was lightning fast! Our cheese curds were out about as fast as it took to find a table. Nothing special here and are compatible to A&W curds. The special dipping sauce wasn't bad. Still have not isolated the flavor but has consistency of ranch. We ordered from two different counters to see the timing. Amazingly the came out about the same time. The burger was good sized for the price but certainly no deal. Bacon was crispy and added to the flavor of of the sandwich. The fresh cut fries brought it home for this meal and worth the up charge. My wife had the fish tacos and the walleye was a good choice for the taco. Overall a neat place to spend the evening. Live music most nights add to the enjoyment. I will be back.

Yelp
We walked 20 min to the Workshop Food Hall here in Rochester, MN. I know it's a trend in restaurant world, perhaps a way for food truck folks to make a first step into a permanent location? With the added benefit to customers of multiple cuisines plus a bar and parking. Sadly, this one has only items of pizza, fried chicken, and Midwest Mexican. And ice cream. It's a nice space with cheerful young help. But we were not impressed, even if portions are as big as your head. Pre-made pizza dough, jarred sauce, salad mix from a bag. Blah

Carla F.

Yelp
This is a fun, sports-like environment that has something for everyone! There are 4 choices of restaurants, 1 dessert place, and a bar. There are also several big-screen TV's. There are lots of staff ready to help and answer your questions! My husband got pizza and he loved it! Definitely recommend!!

Michelle A.

Yelp
First time here and probably won't return. I ordered pickle fries happy hour special for $3. The batter fell off while eating. OK, needs regular ranch instead. Fail #1 is the nasty MN meat raffle pizza. This was half off for happy hour too. The pepperoni were cooked hard and crispy, pizza overcooked, bland, tasteless. Reminded me of a frozen cheap quality pizza. I returned it for a refund. Then I ordered a Chicago dog. It had a ton of relish on it. Compared to Portillos, it missed the mark on taste. The housemade chips were OK. I asked about the burgers and were informed they are frozen. The concept is cool, but food very underwhelming.

Tracee T.

Yelp
I love the fancier food court idea but the food for me ranged from food court quality to some items being very good and others being potentially good. Sometimes I feel I'm too judgemental because I visit so many different eateries so I'm always comparing past experiences. We all have different tastes and what I think is ok - you might love and vice versa. So even though I comment on certain things, remember that's just my own taste buds talking. This place has a nice size parking lot and would be a great place for groups, families, and businesses luncheons. They serve alcohol too.

Megan W.

Yelp
Pretty good food, huge selection, but the parking is really bad, unless you come at really dead times.

Amy F.

Yelp
Had a pit stop in Rochester for lunch on our way to la crosse for the weekend. We thought it was brand new come to find out it's been open over a year. Huge selling point is that it had a covered patio that was also dog friendly. We ordered our pup on bone marrow dog bone that he is still chewing on today 5/5. They have 4 stations in which you order grab a number and a table somewhere and they come to serve you. This is good comfort/drinking food. Our fave and surprising option was the friend elote! Will def stop back again when in the area

Yelp
Definitely what rochester needs more of . This place is great to go on a date or bring a group of people . You can get a haircut or grab a drink. From walleye street tacos to fried chicken . You can even wash it all down with local beers . Both my wife and myself have eaten here about 5 times . We always enjoy trying something new which we've yet to be disappointed. My kids love the pan style pizza which has a amazing crust . I've enjoyed the Nashville spicy chicken and even the steak and walleye taco salad . This place is fun when music is being preformed and the patio a relatively large . Give this place a try!!

Abbey A.

Yelp
It was pretty good pizza but it took too long to get it yesterday. The place is huge, that surprised me.

Kelly R.

Yelp
Such a fun place! We ordered lots of different foods and shared them at the table. We got Detroit style Mexican corn pizza, Mac and cheese bites, sandwich, fries, burger, root beer float, and a dessert platter. The beer selection was great as well. I'll definitely hit this place up again! Loved the ambiance and the service was friendly and quick!

Patrick A.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and delicious food. The patio is fantastic when it's nice out and the weekly music and fun events are always a good reason to stop by.

Abbey W.

Yelp
Came here Friday for drinks and pizza, the place is huge, lots of variety. I would recommend for casual dining only, it got pretty loud with lots of younger patrons. I think there had to be at least two birthday parties.

Doug C.

Yelp
Atmosphere is great. They have done a very good job bringing a cool new concept to Rochester. Unfortunately the food is not good. Many of the items seem to be frozen and hastily reheated. Have tried many items on the menu and have yet to be impressed. Prices are also fairly high. The point of sale devices automatically request large tip percentages when there is really no table service. Overall neat concept, just the execution on the food is poor.

Gaby M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the workshop food hall - they had a variety of restaurants to choose from that all had good options. There were gourmet hot dogs and burgers, tacos, and pizza. They also have a full bar with great friendly bartenders and delicious drinks. I had the 'Bacon Blue' hot dog from Murdoch's which is served kn a poppy seed bun with a side of chips and it was delicious. They even have a burger just for you dog!! They have a great dog-friendly outdoor seating area, parking and lots of indoor seating as well (with AC).

R W.

Yelp
If your looking for variety, this would be a good choice. Mexican, pizza, burgers, and booze. Fun place and big. Parking can be a bit tight however

Alexa C.

Yelp
The pizza are chicago style ane it's very filling... if you want a thick pizza their a good choice BUT they are not cheap and they are in the small size as well. The tacos as delicious we prefer the corn tortilla overt flour tho. The pork are amazing. I really really like corn dogs and their fries! But their shakes as very good.

Ginny D.

Yelp
The place is huge, very casual, good for groups or family get togethers. Its good for families because they have every type of food, pizza, Mexican, etc. The only problem is limited parking space around the building.

Shay H.

Yelp
I love the workshop. They often have great music here. There are a lot of food options for everyone. This is a great place for a big group or just two friends wanting to sit and have a burger and a beer. The patio is pet friendly. And you can get your haircut at the barbershop.

Joseph C.

Yelp
If you're thinking of a place to go with great drinks, group friendly, Karaoke Party kinda night - Workshop is the place to be! The workshop consists of 4 food stops set up from a strip mall and they are all delicious! Friday night is karaoke night! The food service closes at 9:30pm but the bar and karaoke are going strong till midnight!

Vicki S.

Yelp
Its a big place, had fun group gathering last night, pizza was cold however and takes a bit to get served.

Michael H.

Yelp
Brand new food hall! Think of it as an upscale food court. There's a pizza restaurant, burgers & hotdogs, and a taco joint, so something for everyone. Really nice atmosphere and good service. Lots of seating, good music and a really nice bar area. It's a great addition to the food choices in Rochester, and I look forward to going back!

Jas C.

Yelp
What a fantastic place! We went on Thursday for the first time - and we were amazed. We shared pork tacos, an aloha dog and a Chicago dog, and all three were exceptional. Ordering was easy, the place was sparkling clean, the food was delicious and perfectly presented, and everyone working there was very friendly! Good enough that we grabbed family and friends and went back yesterday and everyone raved about the experience! Chicken and waffles this time, chips and guac, more tacos, more dogs - and again, everything was delicious! It's our new favorite place to go!

Cameron T.

Yelp
Great place with awesome food and plenty of options to choose from. Will definitely return in the future.

Jessica W.

Yelp
We went to workshop dining hall on a Saturday evening. It is self-seating and there were seats available. There are four different food places to order from currently: chicken, pizza, tacos, burgers. We got cheese curds with the dining hall sauce and ranch. We also got the chicken tenders meal and popcorn chicken tossed in the asian heat sauce. The food came quickly and it was so nice with a wait staff from the bar going around asking for orders as well. I love the dining hall concept and the food was well-priced too. One of Rochester's best fried chicken places for sure! The bathrooms are also very accessible with family friendly and gender inclusive bathrooms. There was also a stage up in front and I think there was karaoke going on at the same time. This place gives a very homey atmosphere with wooden pillars and bars. It's a very nice date spot or hangout with friends spot.

Solomon B.

Yelp
The Nacho Grande was fantastic. But today was a NFL playoff game and it's not playing through the speakers?...Maybe will return for just lunch, definitely not sport friendly place, beware. But kudos to the bartenders for trying to get CC on the television so we could at least read it.

Val C.

Yelp
Great concept but a little too loud and expensive for ala crate style eating. Great place to eat if you have kids (we don't), because you wouldn't have to worry about them being noisy and they could all have what they want for dinner. My husband says the corn dogs are huge and very tasty.

Brianna M.

Yelp
Love this spot! Amazing food, great atmosphere, and fun patio! We loved the Walleye Tacos!! Check out this spot in Rochester, definitely our new favorite spot!

Carl A.

Yelp
My second trip to the Workshop Food Hall was as good as the first, excellent food full of flavor and well executed. The first time I had the the Thai Shrimp Detroit Style Pizza which was unlike anything I had ever eaten before, but absolutely delicious. Today after a haircut at the Workshop Barbers I tried the "Flaming Hot Nashville chicken Sandwich and it, like the Thai Shrimp pizza had amazing flavor but with just the right amount of heat! I plan to return again and again and work my way through the menus at all the at all the shops!!

Bonnie D.

Yelp
My sister and I had lunch here on 8/21, and we're going back - frequently! My sister noticed that despite the openness and background music, it wasn't too loud to have a conversation. We grew up in the Golden Hill neighborhood and loved the nostalgic decor. There were 3 "kitchens" open so we had our choice of pizza, burgers/dogs, or tacos. We ordered the Thai Shrimp pizza, and OMG, I'd never had anything like it before! We both took a piece home for later. More kitchens coming soon. Another reviewer referenced "food court" concept with better food options. The individual kitchens made me think of gourmet food truck menus, but something for everyone, every age. The full bar (not just beer/wine) was separated by a half wall from the rest of the dining space. The chairs were comfortable, and tables for 4 could easily be pushed together for bigger parties. And there were games - foosball, table shuffle board, and card/board games. A must for all!

Greg N.

Yelp
Love all of the food choices. The staff is great. DJ Bingo was a family hit. One of our new favorite places.

Ross R.

Yelp
Great place to eat and see live music. The bar drinks leave a bit to be desired compared to their competition. Not sure why. The prices of both the bar drinks and food are overpriced (considering there is no table service) for the quality, hence only 4 stars.

Clint L.

Yelp
Ordered the Nashville Chicken from Birdies. Absolutely do not recommend. They overspiced it so hot (and I like spicy food) that it was uneatable. Ate about 1/4 of the meal and tossed the rest. I'll go to this place again to try something else such as the pizza place but no more Birdies

Glenn S.

Yelp
Very nice concept place! A nice size dining area both inside and out. You have 5 choices for food and drinks. Choose from Mexican, Burgers, chicken place, and Detroit pizza(they do offer a thin crust), all with several pop options. Then they have a separate bar with many options. The steak tacos w/corn tortillas are very good! Queso dip is great also, not to spicy hot with good flavor. Chicken place has the best tenders I have ever eaten by far! Minimal breading but crunchy, the absolute moistest meat I have ever had in a tender or otherwise for that matter! If you like juicy chicken breast, this is your go to! The Detroit pizza is spot on! Crunchy crust both on the bottom and the sides are caramelized perfectly. They do offer a "thin" crust which they described as hand tossed style. Didn't try the thin. Didn't try the burger place but they looked good coming out of the kitchen. You order, find a seat and they bring the food out to you. No wait staff except for food delivery. Need a drink? Go get one! Need a go box, go get one! Definitely worth the trip.

Kari A.

Yelp
Great spot! Minnesota walleye tacos and Detroit style pizza can't be beat! Give it a try and youll love it!

Kara M.

Yelp
Beautiful venue! What a great food addition to Rochester. Honestly we weren't expecting much in terms of the food but we were pleasantly surprised! Everything had incredible flavor and quality.

Matthew F.

Yelp
Heard about this place from a couple people at work. They highly recommend it. So we finally tried it. We were not disappointed. My wife got chicken tocos ( only thing she wishes they had shrimp). But really liked it. I had a workshop burger. Very good special sauce really adds flavor. We will be back

Sean K.

Yelp
Great haircuts, food, and drinks! We had the chips and guac, queso, and salsa. I followed that up with the Nashville hot sliders. Everything was amazing!

Kate R.

Yelp
We loved Workshop! It has such a fun atmosphere and is a great place to gather with friends or to eat out with the family. We tried a variety of items and were really impressed with everything. I highly recommend the walleye tacos and the chicken and waffles. Workshop nailed it and we are already planning for when we can go back.

Yousef A.

Yelp
The drinks and service were great. I liked the lounge atmosphere and felt that even when it was busy Sam the bartender was on point. I would highly recommend stopping in for at least one drink.

Wandaroo Z.

Yelp
Mixed drinks are very high priced for what the place is. You have to walk over to the bar and get your own drink then they charge $10. They do not wait on you. You have to walk to a counter. You also have to get your own soda. Food is pretty good but a little high priced for no waiter service. They also do not have a phone number listed anywhere that I can find. Loved the comedy night but now that is gone. Would love Karoke on early sometime--before 830. Also should have live bands.I love the back room!!

Samuel M.

Yelp
Fun place with a good vibe. Bartenders are always friendly and attentive and happy to make recommendations. If you want to try something different sit at the bar to get the best view and awesome service. Cheese curds are excellent and so is the Chicago hot dogs. Pizza looks good so we will try the next time.
