I'm in the process of eating the best everything bagel sandwich I've ever had in my life. Breakfast sandwich with ham, cheese, fried egg. I was worried it wasn't going to taste as good as it could have cuz I forgot to get mayonnaise, but this thing is over the top delicious!! Their deli case of breakfast sandwiches is beautiful. Also got a tasty small drip coffee for under $3. That's rare these days. Hands down my favorite pop in on the island after catching that free morning beach parking ;)

Google
Killer breakfast… As you see by my photos, the food is excellent. If I would’ve known it was that delicious I would’ve ordered a few more options to go… located in between Wrightsville and Wilmington. It’s a great location with parking. they also have tables with umbrellas outside to enjoy the morning air and have a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Google
A FIVE STAR 'walk to' breakfast and lunch spot on the beautiful island of Wrightsville Beach off North Carolina's coast. The Workshop offers delicious breakfast and lunchtime meals, sandwiches, fruits, sides, coffees (expresso and cappuccino), smoothies, and more (see menu). The Workshop shares the passions of local SCUBA divers and coffee lovers by showcasing Megalodon teeth, shark teeth jewelry (see photos). My favorite breakfast: bacon, egg, cheese croissont and expresso topped with whole milk foam. Yum!

Google
First time coming to this coffee place and I had to come back 3 times before my small getaway ended. It’s that good! Andre was amazing, she made me one of the best ice matcha with lavender that I ever had plus I order an avocado toast with two fried eggs on top which I recommend 100%🔥 the taste was just perfect. Definitely worth the try.🙌🏼

Grace

Google
The best coffee in Wrightsville is at The Workshop. We love this place for the coffee, smoothies, and atmosphere. Our kids enjoy checking out the megalodon teeth on display. There are food items, but it doesn’t appear that any are gluten-free, so sadly we can’t eat them. There’s limited indoor seating with more seating outdoors. The staff have always been helpful and friendly.

Google
Interesting little place near the beach. They were very accommodating and changed up a sandwich to fit my taste. The megalodon.teeth displays were great, and lots of craftwork to consider.

Anna Hawkins-Ross

Google
very busy when we went but worth the wait! we got smoothies that were great. they have shark teeth jewelry for sale. staff were working quickly to get everyone taken care of.

Google
The entrance seemed a little confusing I've never been before. The ambiance was a different vibe than most coffee shops but it was nice overall. The coffee really wasn't that great, especially not for the price I paid for it and it was so hot I could barely hold the cup! And to top it off, the barista was just rude. I love supporting local and small shops but idk if I'll be back.

Bret B.

Yelp
Very unique little cafe with good drip coffee ($3.50 large), friendly service & breakfast and lunch sandwiches. What makes this cafe so unique is the display of sharks teeth and some very large megalodon teeth. You can also buy sharks tooth necklaces. Surf videos and cool jazz are the vibe. Limited indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
A great spot to get a cold drink for the beach! The shop was super crowded when we went on a Sunday morning, which made the ordering and pick up situation a bit chaotic, but we still got our drink promptly. We got the Mangodon Smoothie, which was solid -- fruity and nice that it comes with protein! The drink was understandably pricey given the location of the shop, but we'd still recommend stopping by for a refreshing treat during the summer.

Courtney S.

Yelp
Such a great little Wrightsville cafe. They have delicious coffee, smoothies, and sandwiches. They also have shark tooth souvenirs and jewelry if you're a collector. The avocado toast was great and so were the lattes.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Great black coffee! It can be difficult to find a place that serves a great cup of black coffee, but The Workshop has one. Not too bitter, not too dark -- the drip coffee is just right. The Workshop is located just steps from the beach, and it is a great place to visit on a lazy morning to grab a coffee (which is exactly what I did). It's also a great place to grab a nourishing smoothie (which is also what I did). I recommend the Boneyard, which includes banana, spinach, dates, almonds and almond milk. It's all of the good things you need in the morning to nourish your old bones. This coffee shop is owned and operated by local SCUBA divers who have collected fossils and shark teeth during their underwater adventures. They have their collections on display, and have even turned some of them into jewelry that you can purchase. It's an interesting coffee shop slash jewelry shop. There isn't much space to sit and enjoy your coffee indoors. There are a few barstools around, but they seem mostly for transient visitors who are there to pick up their food and beverage to go. There are more spaces to sit and luxuriate outside, where there are a few umbrella'd tables on the patio.

Yelp
If I was a coffee drinker...this place is fast...energetic and down right hip and cool...with great music and funky jewelry of sharks teeth... But...ordering a tea was a bad idea...no less than 15 coffee drinkers received there orders whip I wait for the tea...which they forgot...steeping way over 5 minutes made it bitter and I also asked for sugar with it...which they forgot to add...as added it myself...they kindly offered a spoon only for me to dine out they were stirring coffee drinks with it...making the tea taste like coffee. My advice....just drop the tea off the menu as they are not equipped to handle it at multiple levels. The only bright spot was the apple fritter....excellent. And I'll leave you with this...They have a sign on the wall that reads..."friends don't let friends drink Starbucks "....I'd scratch under that...."unless it is Tea...then Starbucks is definitely better.

Ty A.

Yelp
Decent coffee and food, but a bit pricey for the quantity. $3 for one hour parking in front of the business.

Kristen D.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings with this place. The food was really good. I got the chicken bacon ranch with bbq sauce. They panini press their sandwiches so it was so tasty and pretty large. The coffee was average. And what bothers me is the menu isn't correct on pricing. My iced caramel macchiato should have been $5. However, as you can see by the receipt it was $6.75...and an additional .75 cents for ice. To be fair the ice is frozen coffee. But I wasn't informed of the upcharge. So my $5 coffee turned into an almost $8 really quickly. And without my knowledge. So be aware of the price differential before ordering. The barista was really nice. I would go back if I was over this way but due to price and average taste of the coffee I wouldn't go out of my way to go here.

Nicole B.

Yelp
This place has the absolute best breakfast croissant I've ever had! Wow! I'm back now for a sandwich for lunch looking forward to it! The lines can be long in the morning but the staff is super fast and efficient. It's pretty small inside but they play relaxing music and have bar style seats to sit inside and there are tables with umbrellas right outside as well. I highly recommend coming here!

Lauren M.

Yelp
Stopped in on a cold January morning. We got there just in time before there was quite a line. It seemed like the staff member taking our order and making our drinks was very new and was getting a little assistance at she was finishing up our drinks. We honestly weren't sure if our drinks were made how they normally would do them. I had a vanilla latte but it was wasn't very flavorful and my husband had a peppermint mocha latte which also was pretty light on the flavor. Hopefully, they get that staff member trained up! I had the avocado toast and added an egg to it, it was soooo good! Like maybe the best avocado toast I've ever had! Will definitely try them out again next time we are in the area visiting. They also have some really cool shark teeth, shark teeth jewelry, and some apparel for sale.

Jim K.

Yelp
Love this little coffee shop/smoothie/sandwich cafe in the heart of Wrightsville Beach. Terrific, friendly customer service awaits you. We had two of their panini style sandwiches which were great and enjoyed sitting outside. Most customers seemed to come for the coffee and smoothies. Definitely a place to check out.

Dee D.

Yelp
The espresso was excellent; however, the server was walking to another customer while preparing the drinks. They don't sell/serve brewed decaf which was okay, so we ordered 2 medium Americanos instead. The reason for the drop in this rating is because the server did not make the drinks as requested and she had to be corrected twice. The server also charged us for 2 large coffees despite the fact that we asked for 2 medium drinks!! We paid for the larger beverages although we asked for a medium because we didn't have time to wait. Otherwise, the place was cute and trendy and had a comfortable seating area outside. They should give each customer their full attention. I would try them again when in the area. Hopefully, my order will be heard and done correctly.

Rick D.

Yelp
First time, I work for the Deaf and Hard of hearing division and stats say 40% of the adult population has a hearing deficiency, they tell you they will call your name when ready but the music is so loud, you may not hear it, if you walk up they get testy. So plan on a long confusing wait, as they put drinks up and my wife's drink under Rick, never called my name, it just sat there and got cold. Terrible system, it's broken. Go to tower 7

Marc A.

Yelp
Incredible coffee, smoothies, and food. It's a very small and busy place, so be prepared for that. Wish I could have this every morning!

Kat S.

Yelp
My husband & I were visiting WB for a long weekend and ended up coming back to Workshop multiple times because yes, it's THAT good! The drink selection is fantastic, including the variety of specialty lattes (I highly recommend the "mermaid latte"!) Fast, friendly service and such an inviting cafe atmosphere, definitely a must-try!

Tonya C.

Yelp
Wow!!!! This is the cutest little coffee shop! I found it on trip advisor. THANK YOU!!! We were headed out of Wrightsville Beach area and needed breakfast. We decided to give this place a go based on all the coffee options (for my husband), and the croissant sandwich for me. All of the sandwiches are pre made, displayed in the refrigerated case. They will customize it how you want it though. I ordered the bacon egg cheese croissant with crispy bacon and light cheese. My husband ordered the plain bagel with ham, egg, & cheese. All sandwiches are warmed on a panini-style press. MAN WERE THEY GOOD!!! My husband truly enjoyed his iced coffee as well - and he's pretty funny about it. ( it was so good he didn't need to stop at a Cuban spot on the way home - - that says a lot!) We will become forever customers each visit to Wrightsville Beach!

Karisa G.

Yelp
This is more than a coffee shop. The workshop has a great vibe, friendly staff, and a good menu. I loved the shark teeth theme they incorporated too. We got sandwiches, coffee, and smoothies on our visit. The smoothies were the surprise hit. They were super fresh and delicious. Great stop before (or during) a day at Wrightsville beach.

Cayla M.

Yelp
This place gets busy but it's delicious and a great beach vibe. I got a latte and a bagel sandwich. Would def go back!

Jennifer V.

Yelp
Coffee is spot on! Great vibe inside. Had to bring home two of their logo ball caps. Perfect fit!

Grace S.

Yelp
It's good.. not amazing, but good. Nothing extremely spectacular or anything that blew me out of the water coffee-wise. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato. I thought I was going to be paying $5 since the menu told me so, but I was charged 85¢ extra. It was good, but again, nothing that blew my socks off. Just be cautious when going in, because after reading some reviews, looks like prices are more than what they say. Oh well. If I come back, I'll probably skip the coffee and just get a breakfast sandwich. Staff are extremely friendly so that's a plus!

Rob H.

Yelp
This is fast becoming one of my favorite places on Wrightsville Beach! The Mangodon smoothie is absolutely amazing. Packed full of Mango, Peach, banana and strawberry goodness. We stop here every time we are on WB. Sunrise fat tire ride and a smoothie is a great start to the day. The other half of the business is a handmade shark tooth jewelry! They have a ton of Meg shark tooth fossils for sale!

Ashley L.

Yelp
Great coffee shop near Wrightsville beach. It was very busy when I went mid morning and a bit pricey but super cool atmosphere with the shark teeth

Katherine C.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever!!! Super rude lady taking orders and screaming at customers at 9am. If you're not patient or kind don't work in the service industry. Racist comments made asking customer to wait outside for no reason. Do not support business like this.

Hanna S.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop that was an easy walk from the Blockade Runner. Service was quick and efficient. The girls working were super sweet and friendly. I ordered the lavender and honey latte and subbed out whole milk for oat milk and it was the perfect beach coffee.

Iwona A.

Yelp
The service is not that great. Because they're so busy, the person taking the order is absentminded. They have a new cold brew with coconut water but ran out so I got coconut milk, it was ok. I also ordered the Tower with spinach added and it was so diluted and lacked flavor. They took a while to make the smoothie. They'll bring any food and sandwiches you order to you but you need to wait for the drinks inside. Located close to Wrightsville Beach so if you can't find parking in their parking lot, which is quite small, find beach parking on the side and walk over. Beach access 33 is close by so take your drink to the beach and enjoy it by the waters!

Nicole N.

Yelp
Been coming here for years! Great spot at the beach. I loved their iced chai lattes! Bagels are great addition too. Hardworking staff- always busy! Cool interior with lots of shark teeth. Bar top table seating inside and some seating outside. Wish they were open later in the day!

Stacie H.

Yelp
Excellent coffee. Had the almond butter toast which was good. Need a better, more streamlined system for processing orders. Would definitely come back, though. Best coffee I had while at WB.

Siu Siu P.

Yelp
We love supporting local businesses, however, this business gets 2 stars for dishonesty. They charged more than they advertised on their menu board. The board says $5.25 for an Iced Honey Lavender Latte, but we were charged $6.25 plus $.75 cents for ice, so it was $7.00 for an Iced honey Lavender Latte instead of $5.25. There are many other great local coffee shops around.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with great panini sandwiches! We stopped by on a hot beach day for a sandwich for lunch. The sandwiches are made ahead and stored in the food case and they pop them in the panini press as ordered. It's a short walk from the main entrance to Wrightsville beach. Take your sandwich and have a picnic on the beach! They had a great coffee selection so I will have to go back to try the coffee.

Randall D.

Yelp
The best smoothies on the planet. The sandwiches and croissants are delicious as well. They are only open from 6 am to 2 pm, so you better hurry.

Jessika H.

Yelp
I love all there is to explore at The Workshop. Not only can you find coffee here, but there are also beautiful shark tooth necklaces, sandwiches, and even espresso served with vanilla ice cream. I got a lavender iced latte with oat milk, and my partner got a peppermint mocha with oat milk. All of these were very light in flavor and refreshing. Especially after a long morning at the beach in classic Wilmington summer heat, this is the perfect stop for hydrating drinks. The apple fritter was my favorite--not too sweet or heavy. This is just the way I like my dessert (unless it is chocolate haha.) The Workshop also has a good amount of outdoor seating, and I love the wooden exteriors inside. This café really belongs close to the shore.

Hayley A.

Yelp
I highly recommend checking out The Workshop! They offer a variety of coffees (iced, hot, frozen), smoothies and breakfast sandwiches! I had the tower and was able to add a shot of espresso! I loved that I had the option to add espresso to my smoothie. I wanted a smoothie and coffee and this gave me the option for both without having two drinks. The service was amazing. The owner was super friendly and moved at a fast pace to keep wait times down. They worked as a team and kept drinks and food moving. To help with social distancing, they would have you wait outside and bring your food and smoothies to you. If you are visiting the Wilmington area you should definitely check this place out! I will be back!

Brandon S.

Yelp
Food was great!!! The almond butter toast was amazing. Great start to the day after a sunrise at the beach

Remy P.

Yelp
The prices rang up $2 more each than the menu on the wall and there was a FINGERNAIL in my iced latte

Carolyn J.

Yelp
Really fresh and flavorful. Avocado toast was stupendous. Get there early or the line is out the door. Most of the staff is friendly.

Teagan D.

Yelp
Very cute shop in Wrightsville! Very pricey, about $2 more than I would pay at Starbucks but I do recognize it is a local shop. Inside they have very cool decor with shark teeth! The baristas were very friendly and quick when handling the rush. Overall I did not really like the taste of their coffee, especially for the price it was, so I do not think i'll come back very often. It is a very small shop with not much inside seating. The music was very loud so I would not recommend it for someone looking for a quiet spot.

Cabo N.

Yelp
As a barista, I'll give it 3 stars. The staff was super nice but the coffee itself wasn't what was expected. The latte they made seemed like they refrothed the milk and also made it so hot it burnt my tongue. With that said the milk tasted a bit burnt. To top it off - lol- they didn't fill the latte up all the way. The latte was poured an inch less from the rim, which is a lot when it comes to a 12oz cup. They got drinks out fast but it wasn't worth the rush. I'd rather wait 10 more minutes and be happy than leave in 5 minutes sad I wasted $6. Cool vibes tho. Shark bait hoohaha.

Michael M.

Yelp
Although the menu selection is pretty good, I was not impressed with the friendliness of the team members. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast croissant and the great selection of morning beverages. I will not return.

Edith B.

Yelp
super good but be aware they charge for ice!!!!! 1.20$ is crazy for frozen water...... on top of the 7 dollar small coffee

Alex W.

Yelp
Not a fan. First off, the drinks we got just simply didn't taste good. Second, both things we ordered costed $1 and $2 more than listed on the menu. If you're in town just go to SUNdays, lower prices, waaaay better coffee, better staff, and it's less than five minutes away.

April L.

Yelp
Fancy little coffee shop at the beach! Lots of cool shark teeth on display and some unique smoothies and coffee options. Prices were higher but my lavender and honey latte was very delicious. They had good looking sandwiches in the case but I only got the latte. The place was really busy and staff was working hard getting orders out.

MJ C.

Yelp
Terrible. I've never had a croissant sandwich this bad. Crappy salty deli meat, rubbery egg, and gross fake craft cheese! And the mocha is weak and bland! So disappointed....2 croissant sandwiches and 2 mochas -$22 WASTE of money! Go to Drift coffee, they know what their doing!

Ashley S.

Yelp
This place is so friendly and has amazing customer service. We stopped in for coffee after watching the sunrise on the beach, and I was delighted to see a pistachio frappe on the menu. So I asked for a pistachio latte with 2% milk and half the usual amount of syrup. It was perfect! My husband's iced caramel macchiato was great, too.

Alissa R.

Yelp
Paid $3.50 to park. Walked up to the door with about 5 minutes to spare and they locked the door.

Britt B.

Yelp
This place is super cool! There are shark teeth on all the walls for display & also jewelry for sale. Super cozy atmosphere. We went early for coffee yesterday morning. We didn't try the food but the sandwich list looks great! My friend had an Iced Caramel Macchiato & I had the Iced Vanilla Latte. I loved both! The service was great as well. I will definitely be back!

Jonatahn R.

Yelp
going on a saturday or sunday during the summertime? expect long lines out the door. this is a very popular place and can get chaotic if you go from 8-10am on a weekend. i got a bacon egg cheese bagel and it was great. i got a coffee and it was below average. also i've been twice and they've gotten my name wrong both times. calling me tony for some reason...

Taylor V.

Yelp
Checked this place out over the weekend for the first time and was really impressed. The layout of the shop and location is amazing. Super close to Wrightsville beach and the sound side. The staff is super friendly and service was quick. I loved the shark tooth necklaces they had available for purchase. My friend and I purchased smoothies which were delicious and super fresh. Prices were not too bad compared to other places they charge around the area. I highly recommend this place to locals and tourist! I cannot wait to come back and try there coffee!

Kayla O.

Yelp
I don't leave reviews often but this place definitely deserves one! I tried the iced honey lavender latte with almond milk & the caramelized onion and Brie wrap. The latte was perfect! Not too sweet and I appreciated that they put a few coffee ice cubes in it to keep it from getting too watered down. The wrap was out of this world! It was so decadent! it had turkey, arugula, brie, and what seemed like caramelized onion jam. Just the perfect sweet and savory combination served on naan bread. The sandwiches are super fresh and pressed in a panini press. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!

Amy B.

Yelp
Wow! Honey and lavender chi was amazing. Bacon and egg croissant with all the veggies... so good! Son had toast and a smoothie, also wonderful. Cheerful staff, clean, cute and outdoor dining area. Highly recommend.

Samantha R.

Yelp
10/10. Got the Mangoladon smoothie. Perfect amount of sweetness! The line is long but they move at a fast pace. We'll worth the wait!
