Where to Drink Guinness in Baltimore This Holiday Season | Eater

"Canton Square’s sleek new sports bar and tavern, the Worthington, attracts locals looking to catch the game while enjoying a drink with friends. You can’t go wrong with the poutine, crab cake, or whipped ricotta, all of which pair well with a Guinness. Pop in on Wednesday nights for some trivia." - Julekha Dash

The neon-lit hangout offers pub grub for every flavor of fan, with lengthy menu full of crispy chicken sliders, pizza, double-patty burgers, tuna poke bowls, Buffalo chicken dip, chocolate mousse cake, espresso martinis, and Key lime crushes. Weekly happenings include half-priced wine on Tuesdays, Wednesday night trivia, and $3 seltzers on Thursdays." - Jess Mayhugh, Tierney Plumb

Love the aesthetic here! It’s a cute setting for time with friends or a date. I went here for the first time recently and enjoyed the food. My friends who went there said they didn’t like the food but I did! I got a peach crush and it was very tasty. Service wasn’t excellent. The upstairs bar wasn’t that busy and we had to flag the bartender down a few times. I could’ve been seeing things but it seemed like he was also vaping at the bar. I’m quite sure that is not allowed and it’s pretty gross. That’s just me, though! There’s a lot of amazing bars in the square like El Bufalo so I’d probably go there instead if returning.

The Chicken Park was Very Salty, The Buffalo chicken dip was cool but not everything needs to be "evelated" the pizza was pretty good and the drinks were great. The bar tender was amazing he got hit with a bunch of people which kept his attention for longer than we wanted but apologized and offered to buy a round. Def made up for the inconvenience. The placed was packed which made it hard to move around the 2nd floor. Would probably go back on a slower night.

Prices are outrageous, and the food quality is terrible. The chicken tenders were dry, hard as wood, and barely edible. They used to serve three tenders, now it’s only two—without lowering the price. Classic price gouging. The service was just as bad. We were the only table there, yet no one would come to check on us. How does a place charge this much and still fail at basic customer service? Honestly, if it wasn’t for trivia night, I would’ve never come here. And let’s not forget—this used to be Looney’s Pub, where you actually got decent food at a fair price. Now, it’s just another overpriced, overrated spot that isn’t worth your time or money.

Loved this place. Outstanding ambiance food. Three of more dining area or bars, healthy as well as bar offerings this place was the hookup for a cooldown and hangout place. My coworkers as bd I dropped in for a bite and drinks, and I can definitely say for sure, “We’ll be back!”

Google
I love it here. I just came for the first time 6/29/25 and Zack the bartender/server was AMAZING. Super attentive even though it’s crowded and goes above and beyond. He’s the reason I will be coming back. The food is good as well and priced reasonably. I went for brunch and I recommend everyone to try it as well. It’s seat yourself style and Zac came over immediately. Upstairs is more “lit”.

Meh. If mediocrity had an example, this place would still fall short of that particular standard. Staff is friendly. That’s about the only saving grace. Atmosphere and pub fare below average. Food overpriced and make sure you scan your bill for that vague, extra“service” charge. (The price of convenience for using your credit card. Try to pay cash if possible). Their 4.1 on google IS well earned.

This bar has the best chicken sandwiches in Canton, pretty sure they are called Chicken Littles. The rest of their food menu is pretty stacked as well and the bartenders all make quality drinks. Jordan is the man make sure you ask for the “Redneck Vacation” he also makes great Espresso Martinis if that’s your thing. Overall great time in the square.

Google
Worthington is a true gem in Canton Square—laid-back vibe, great drinks, and an awesome crowd. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual happy hour or a lively night out, this place never disappoints. The bartenders are friendly and know their craft, the music and atmosphere strike the perfect balance, and there’s always a good mix of locals and visitors. It’s quickly become one of my go to spots in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Was in the Canton area last Saturday and decided to stop in after a fitness event in Patterson Park. My friend wanted to eat outdoors since the weather was really nice and the Worthington is your place for that. They have an awesome rooftop deck. Housed in the Old Looney's location, they really did an outstanding job on the decor. We kept lunch pretty simple, I grabbed the spicy chicken ceasar wrap and my homegirl had the grilled chicken sandwich. They also have amazing drinks, the bartenders get you right in there. The espresso martini, is chef's kiss. So good I had two. You literally cannot go wrong with this place. Great place to post up and have drinks, watch the games and socialize.

Yelp
Would absolutely recommend this bar. Usually I don't review bars, but went to watch the ravens game and the server (he was serving the tables top level on the bathroom side, cannot recall his name) was so on it. And the food was even better than I thought it'd be tbh, those cheesesteak egg rolls are a must. Prices are super fair for portions too.

Yelp
Really solid elevated bar food! I also tried one of the key lime crushes which was really good and the lemon cheesecake martini was divine. My favorite thing was the honey old bay wings although they were a little thin on the meat. The flavor was great. Service was good although I was a tiny bit offended we didn't get carded coming in. lol. (Jk we're old) it was loud and crowded like you'd expect a bar to be but overall a great experience and I would definitely go back for more food.

Yelp
The W is a cool drinks spot in Canton! The space is decorated so beautifully and I love their upstairs patio seating, especially during sunset. They always have great DJs and events! I love the atmosphere during games as well. The drinks and food are elevated bar options. The service is great and it's in such a prime location! Can't miss spot.

Yelp
One of my new favorite spots to eat in Canton! The Worthington has taken over what used to be Looney's Pub and the food, drinks, and vibes are immaculate. The downstairs has a bit of a quieter local feel and the top level has more of an upbeat vibe, but at the heart of it this is a sports bar. I used to live in Nashville and that's exactly where I thought I was the first time I walked into the W! They have plenty of beers on tap and a large list of fun cocktails to try. The Dubya Marg with tajin on the rim is spectacular! I've eaten here twice now, and can say that you really can't go wrong with the menu. The ceasar salad with crispy spicy chicken was an unexpected standout for me! Definitely looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu! Huge shoutout to Alex, who bartends often on the top level. One of the nicest, most personable, and most patient guys I've ever met! And he makes an amazing Dubya Marg.

Yelp
Really great experience at The Worthington before seeing a show. When we arrived the restaurant was bright, clean and welcoming. We passed two bars and headed up stairs. Passed a third bar and arrived at the fourth! I lo pive all of the different spaces to dine, drink and enjoy! We sat at the bar and started with an orange and grapefruit crush during happy hour. The drinks were refreshing and delicious! We went on to grab the meatball dish and poutine. The meatballs with whipped ricotta were scrumptious and the combination of meat made for a complex meatball. The poutine was good but not as good as the meatballs. The bartenders were so friendly and helpful. The drinks were some of my favorites in Baltimore!

Yelp
The worthington is worth It! Today I was in canton running errands when I saw a lunch special post outside and decided to give It a try The ambiance of this sports bar is amazing, It is classy spacious and even has a rooftop section which was currently closed at the moment. Nevertheless this was pretty spacious for all part needs The bartender was friendly and very patience with me requesting numerous sauces for my food I asked for his favorite and he recommended the cheesesteak and I decided to give It a try. The cheesesteak was tasty, I wish there was more hots but the beer cheese and soft toasty bun really complimented the well seasoned steak. I also ordered the matcha man drink which was okay It tasted a bit watery and the crème de menthe overpowered the matcha taste Overall for less than $40 this was solid and can see myself coming back

Yelp
Cute bar located in Canton Square! Me and some girlfriends popped in on a Saturday evening while we waited for our table to be ready at a nearby restaurant. It was pretty busy but we were able to find a table and order drinks fairly quickly. I was happy to discover that they had a few mocktails to choose from as I am not drinking at the moment. I ordered a hibiscus uncrushed and it was yummy! We didn't order any food but the menu looked pretty good! Not just typical your bar fare. I'll definitely have to come back to sample the menu sometime!

Yelp
Stopped in to grab some dinner and watch a game. It's a very modern sports bar with a great environment. Food was good, but they could have a better selection of beer. Over all, a fun place to grab a bite and watch some sports.

Yelp
This is the old Loonies right on the square in Canton with a rebrand and new features. We came for a pre dinner drink and it was SO busy. The weather was nice so everyone was out. There's a main bar, a back room, and an upstairs. There's an outdoor space, which will be amazing in the summer. It gave me Dallas Nashville sports bars. They have Ranch Water which is a new thing for Baltimore - just tequila and soda water and lime. They also have a Dubya - a spicy marg. I didn't eat this time but fun Canton sports fratty vibes that I'm sure I will be forced to frequent in the fall but won't be mad about it.

Yelp
Solid bar food and vibes! I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't very busy at the time. We sat upstairs where they had the big windows open which was nice. My friends and I opted to share a few things- the fondue burger, fried pickles, the spicy beef lettuce wraps, and Korean bbq wings. The fondue burger is what I was most excited to try after seeing it all over insta! Overall, it lived up to the hype. The burger/cheese sauce was surprisingly spicy but I enjoyed it. I also love places that do homemade kettle chips, and theirs were delicious! I want to try their whipped ricotta app in the future with the chips, yummm. No complaints about the service, food, or vibe!

Yelp
A great new edition to the canton square! I came here this past weekend with some friends for lunch and everything was delicious. I brought my puppy with me as their balcony seating is dog friendly! Unfortunately, the outside seating wasn't open at the time we went, but they still let us sit at the bar right by the door where my pup got to lie down. The bartender was so sweet and accommodating. I got the blueberry crush and the white chocolate espresso martini, both of which were really tasty! For food I ordered the buffalo chicken dip, which was a little different than the ones I've typically had but it was still really enjoyable! I'll definitely be coming back to this spot

Yelp
Had I known I'd be the first to review this place, I'd have taken pictures. Whoops! That said, I visited The Worthington for the first time this past Saturday, 2/10, for a birthday party. Overall, I think this place is great! In its past iteration, it was Looney's Pub which was dark and gross looking, lol. The renovation and rebranding as The Worthington are amazing. It's so light, bright, and airy in there now, plus they've added some balcony space and seating which I'm sure will be packed in the spring, summer, and fall months. My friend having the party provided food and drinks for the first 1-2 hours of the party, so I cannot comment on ordering or paying at this place. But I can say the food was all very good (especially the salad, but make sure to have some gum for afterward, good grief!) and all the staff I interacted with were very pleasant. The upstairs bathrooms are very well done and were super clean. I shall return for sure!

Yelp
I stopped by the Worthington for drinks with friends while we waited for our table for dinner at a nearby restaurant. It definitely seemed like a good place for having a few drinks while watching sports (lots of TVs), and it's very large (two floors). The service was good if you can get a table (it was definitely really busy when we stopped by). Our drinks were fine (I had their margarita) - a menu of classic drinks. Not a place I'd go out of my way for, but if you're in the area and are looking for a casual place to have a drink, the Worthington might fit the bill.

Yelp
I've been here twice and have had the best experiences. I sat at the bar with my cousin the first time after a long flight to visit and their small plates are amazing. Second time we came in with a few others and a baby and were able to accommodate at a table in the back! The spicy chicken ceaser wrap is *chefs kiss*, poutine fries are delish, and I got the burratta toast both times and YUM. Ice cold beer from the tap, delicious food, and great service, what else could you ask for? It was a touch loud with the game happening but that's to be expected. Nothing we aren't used to!

Yelp
The food here has creative twists on American food faves and more! Try the short rib grilled cheese!! The service in here is friendly and the place is clean. Nice spot to hang with friends especially if there's a game going on!

Yelp
Went on a Friday night to check this place out. It's a multilevel sports bar with tons of seating and great vibes. Our bartender was awesome and the drinks were 10/10. Will be back!

Yelp
We went to dinner on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy, but was definitely starting to get busy. We started with drinks, I got a Pinky's to the Moon which was sweet as to be expected, but very good in my opinion. We started with the Fried Pice Spears, and it came with about 6 or 7, they were just so good I forgot to take a picture before we started eating. The breaded used was well seasoned and it came with ranch and cheese, which was unexpected, but still so good! For our entrees, we got the Cutlet Supreme and the Cobb Salad. The chicken on the cutlet supreme was not very spicy, but breaded and cooked well. The salami was spicy and did make the sandwich salty, but not inedible. I do wish it came with a vodka or marinara sauce to help balance it out a bit. The sandwich typically comes with chips and we got fries, which were good except too salty. The Cobb Salad was fresh and blackened chicken was also well seasoned and cooked well. I liked that the egg was jammy as opposed to hard boiled and the salad was pre-dressed. Our server was very attentive and nice. The ambiance is really want you go for. They did a great job updating the restaurant from what it used to be and it was a nice, casual place good for groups to get together. Because of this being more upscale than most of the Canton Square bars, it is a bit on the pricier side. I would want to return and try some other dishes!

Yelp
The establishment was very stylish and clean. The bartender, Ashley, was very friendly and patient when choosing a drink. I chose a drink that I had never had and did not like it. She was very nice in allowing me to try different options until I found one I liked. I had a Buffalo dip topped with Buffalo flavored pretzels. It was good but the pretzels could have been left off. I would definitely return again.

Yelp
Husband and I arrived, sat down, and no one came up to us. At all. We sat there for 15 minutes, with multiple servers making eye contact, then walking in another direction and helping someone else. We ended up having to leave because it became very clear that we weren't going to be served. Absolutely would not recommend based on how unprofessional they were.

Yelp
Incredible food, and I've been very pleased with their service since they opened. Everything on the menu is particularly yummy. I want to swim in their beer-cheese.

Yelp
I went with a friend for a Sunday lunch this past weekend, and we sat at the bar upstairs with Alex. The bar itself is beautiful - a really elevated, trend-forward place that still feels comfortable. Great spot to hang and catch a few games (PLENTY of TVs) or spend a few hours at. Alex was also phenomenal - so welcoming and the drinks (both cocktail & mocktail) were great! Can't wait to be back!

Keith M.

Yelp
Unorganized and extremely slow service. Took 5 to 10 minutes to get a drink with only 6 other people on the entire second floor. It's a beautiful place, brimming with potential.
