The 22 Best Restaurants in Santa Fe, New Mexico | Eater

"This soup and salad shop may look like a casual downtown cafe from the outside, but the menu includes all kinds of surprises. The must-try dish is the jalapeno-studded Fire Ramen Noodle Soup, a customizable bowl that can be made with vegan or bone broth. Rice bowls with house-made teriyaki sauce are another fan favorite, with a range of toppings like unagi, kimchi, and tofu. There are also plenty of fresh smoothies if you’re craving a break from heavy New Mexican cuisine and want some fruit instead. Vibe check: In the lounge area, you can kick off your shoes and play board games for as long as you like." - Karen Fischer

First time in Santa Fe. This place really impressed me for such a small place. Best panini I've ever had and it was almost too big for me to eat in one sitting. Great meals for around $15, especially considering the prices of other places in the area. And the atmosphere and service was great too. Super friendly environment with cool art on the wall and a shelf of boardgames. 10/10 this is my new go-to everytime I visit Santa Fe.

The Wrap is located at 113 E. Water Street #102, Santa Fe, NM 87501. It is on the back side of the Santa Fe Plaza next to the 5 and dime general store. My wife and I decided to find a place to have a fresh lunch made from scratch and this was just the place. Its small and cozy. We had the opportunity to speak with Sean and JE, the owners, who were very outgoing and welcoming. We had great conversations with them and exchanged info, since we recently moved back to the area. The store used to be owned by JE’s mother and she ran a sushi shop, so when Sean and JE bought it from her mother, they rolled (no pun intended) some of her recipes and menu items over to the new concept. From what I hear the “Fire ramen noodle soup” is a favorite amongst guests. They have great selections of wraps, sandwiches, paninis, salads, rice bowls and smoothies, with a few specialties sprinkled in. I decided on a Southwest wrap with chicken, green chile, avocado, onion, bell pepper, lettuce, pepperjack cheese and spicy mayo. It was wrapped perfectly and as fresh as you could expect. I didn’t taste the green chile too much, it was very subtle, but the overall flavors were great. My wife got the turkey panini which consisted of turkey, bacon, basil, sun dried tomato, provolone cheese and pesto…WOW, this panini was delicious! It was very large, bigger than my wrap, but the flavors exploded. The pesto had such an authentic home made flavor! Highly recommended for a fresh made to order lunch sandwich. We also got one order of crinkle cut fries to share and they were seasoned nicely with salt, not too much, and they were hot and crispy fried to order. We didn’t try any of the smoothies or specialty drinks because we were walking around the plaza and wanted to stay light, but we will next time. There are only about 14-18 seats available so on a busy day, you might have to order and enjoy it on a plaza bench in the park out front, but no complaints there, its a very nice setting. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, everyone was super nice and engaging, and the food was fresh and on point. Don’t let the simpleness of the sign derail you, stop in here and grab your lunch! You will thoroughly enjoy it. Then take a stroll around the plaza and check out the unique surroundings. Hours, phone number and address also listed on the menu that will be posted in the photos. Enjoy!

Adorable and authentic side restaurant next to a shopping gallery, not far off the main square. Mix of deli food but also some excellent Asian soups. Small interior but really comfy. Friendly service.

Google
Cute little space and has a good menu of options. The staff is weird though. It took a long time for anyone to even acknowledge our presence at the front "order here" space or even into the shop in general. They definitely saw us too. And then upon ordering the staff member up front wasn't very nice. No kindness, no happiness to be there. She looked like she hated her life. She also acted like it. She looked at me like I was stupid for asking for no pear fruit juice in my smoothie. Just overall not a pleasing experience. If I didn't want a smoothie so bad, I would have just left.

We were in the mood for lighter fare & Asian options after too much heavy SW food these last few days- found this spot & lo, a miracle- even the tween loved his lunch! He raved about the ramen! Asian salad & chicken rice plate was delicious- SW wrap was a bit bland but still everything was so fresh. Cute decor, seating inside & out. Super attentive friendly staff.

Google
This has quickly become my go-to sandwich place and I keep meaning to try more of the eclectic menu even though I keep ordering paninis. Every time I have had great service, and I usually have leftovers. If you're short on time, order ahead as they're always busy around lunch time.

Google
I just visited the Wrap today. It is a nice restaurant tucked into a row of shops. The Wrap is a curious mix of sandwich shop and Asian eatery all smashed into a small space. I ordered a club sandwich with chips and a drink. What I received was a chicken wrap with chips and a drink. I should have spoke up but the wrap looked good so I went ahead and finished it. Overall the food was good though the space was a bit stuffy. 4 out of 5 stars for the mix-up.

Yelp
Love this place! I ordered the vegan spicy ramen with tofu- so yummy! The ambiance is lovely, it's right on East street in Santa Fe so it's lively and chattery without being overwhelming. All of the workers are so kind, and who I take to be the manager treats them all with so, so much respect. Could not recommend it enough!

Yelp
We checked out this cute cafe for lunch. Unfortunately, they were out of bread so we couldn't get any of the Paninis. We had a tofu, rice bowl, falafel wrap, vegan Ramen, bowl, and sunrise smoothie. The falafel wrap was probably the best thing there followed by the rice bowl. The smoothie came like in the picture for 9$. Seating is cute.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised by my turkey sandwich from this spot. We picked this spot since it was one of the few still open for a late lunch, and based on its unassuming environment wasn't expecting much, but my turkey was actually quite solid. And while I didn't get a rice bowl because I was skeptical of a rice bowl from a wrap shop, my friend's rice bowl actually looked really good (and he said it tasted pretty good too). Good option if you're looking for a quick bite in downtown Santa Fe.

Yelp
We ordered 4 sandwiches and 1 smoothie to go to eat in the plaza. 20 minutes after the sandwiches were ready, we had gotten the wrong smoothie 2 times and watched as customers after us got their full orders. A man in the kitchen came out and told us we should not have ordered to go if we intended to eat there because he is very "environmentally conscious" (they gave us plastic bags and styrofoam boxes). A member of our group informed him we were in fact STILL waiting for the one smoothie. We gave up waiting for the smoothie and got a refund, then returned our plastic bags so they could reuse them. Terrible service, decent food.

Yelp
I had ordered a wrap and a smoothie (the Joy Ride smoothie) and I waited 20 minutes for the smoothie, during that time I was given the wrong smoothie at least three times (the first time being someone else's order, the Love potion, and then came back twice with the Green Paradise, definitely not what I ordered). We originally were going to eat to go, but as we were starving and waiting for my smoothie we decided to eat. This one guy (part of the staff) was condescending towards us saying that we should've said that we were going to eat there so as to not waste plastic (which I mean I get, but if your concern for the environment is so great, why not go for earth-friendly options) but we told him we were still waiting for my smoothie. NOTE: this guy told me like 10 minutes in that my smoothie was coming, so he absolutely knew I DID NOT get my smoothie. People were ordering smoothies after us and they got their smoothie fast. After the guy spoke to us about the plastic, I was absolutely done with waiting as this was absurd, and asked for a refund, which they said they returned my money, so that's good I guess. I get human error as i have worked in the restaurant business, but that was insane. Food was decent. I don't think I will be going here again.

Yelp
This was the perfect place to stop for lunch. They had a nice selection of healthy offerings, and I chose the veggie bowl. It included fried teriyaki broccoli that explodes with flavor. The smoothie I had was tasty and held up through the last sip. They were great about the minor substitutions I requested. The staff are super friendly, and you can tell they like working there. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Thank you for providing such excellent service and accommodations for those who have dietary restrictions. I was visiting New Mexico from Minnesota for the holidays. Me and my family took a train from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. We initially went to eat at Fiesta Oaxaca, but received horrendous service from the owner, so left. I was struggling to find something to eat when I came upon your cafe. Several of your staff assisted me and were so friendly and helpful. It turned my visit to Santa Fe around and I enjoyed the smoothie and falafel I purchased.

Yelp
Unfortunately it is very hard to eat here if you're gluten free. I was not able to order anything but it looks like a great place to eat!

Yelp
Perfect little spot for lunch. We had small salad and panini which we split. Delicious! Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Cute little spot!

Yelp
Service was slow and every table had dirty dishes on it. Half of the veggies in the veggie bowl were bagged frozen vegetables. The sauce was good and gluten free.

Yelp
This place is terrific if you've had enough of Mexican food. I had the unagi bowl and my wife had the wonton soup. Both were very tasty and satisfying in all respects. However don't plan on a quick meal. the service is slow to none existen. They fix the food as you order it and it comes out hot and fresh.

Yelp
Had the best experience at The Wrap for an early dinner! The girl who took our order was so sweet and welcoming. They have both regular tables and an area where you can take your shoes off and sit on pillows while you eat at low tables. Very warm and relaxing. I got the Veggie panini, my friend got the Italian sandwich, and we both got a Thai boba tea with almond milk. The food was great!! Highly recommend and will be back.

Yelp
Ramen here is delicious and made fresh. The service was awesome and the place is quaint and quiet.

Yelp
THE BEST HEALTH SPOT IN SANTA FE!!! All the wraps are packed with flavor and love! The bowls are filling and tasty. They make their teriyaki in house and it is by far the best teriyaki I've ever had!! I've gone now 3 times just to be sure-- and again it's amazing!! I'm looking forward to being a regular at the Wrap

Yelp
Very fresh wraps, rice bowls, and panini. Delicious hot and crispy French fries. Something for everyone. Great service.

Yelp
Nice small friendly place. Our Asian chicken salad wrap was delicious. The staff were friendly and the place was comfortable and clean.

Yelp
Charming and fun. They have board games. Oolong tea and Kimchi wrap were delicious. I definitely want to come back to try their Ramen.

Yelp
I am a local and I love this place and the fact that they make their own sauces. It's one of the only places downtown where I can go for an easy and healthy meal. Great service as well.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE!!! They are the most friendly and down to earth people. They are very accommodating to dietary restrictions and preferences. Great panini and sandwiches. They even have an area where you can lounge and sit while you eat. The only thing I am mad about is that I haven't been sooner. Seriously go!!!
