The Yard Food Park

We love this place! So many great food trucks to choose from. The beers are cold, and it’s easy to walk the whole building with all the different choices. I went with a hamburger and mozzarella, and my wife had pasta. Perfect easy lunch date without the kids. Great music and super clean. Outdoor sitting and toys to play with. Can’t go wrong here

My whole family was pleased with the food, it was excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere was very laid back and nice setting. Would definitely come back next time we are in town.

Found this place through a Google search, and it was worth the detour. We visited twice in 12 days and went to one place - Jojo's barbecue. Authentic Southern barbecue with mouth watering sides, particularly the mac and cheese and the home made corn bread. Jojo knows his stuff and, while fried chicken Mondays are good, the barbecue is my favorite. I wish we lived nearer because there are more than 10 other food vendors that we would love to try. Maybe next time. Overall, the idea is great - a central enclosed area with a full bar and tables and over a dozen different food stalls with everything from Asian, to pasta, to sandwiches and Jojo's!. If you find yourself travelling the I-5 near Salem, drop by. You will not regret it.

Don't eat at the pasta spot, my daughter had to throw it out and had better luck with the Indian food. I had the lamb plate from the Greek spot and it was fine - not great, but not bad. Others in our group had the Hawaiian pork and rice and while it was a massive amount of food, it was mediocre. With 20-plus beers, I thought the beer list was sub-par. I had expected an OR highlight reel of breweries, but it was nice to see Fort George, with a hazy available.

Super nice. Trucks are outside with lots of options and you can come inside and sit where there is AC. There is also a bar inside as well as bathrooms and lots of seating.

So far, I've only tried the Philly Cheese Steak place. It was very good. The extra to add fries was worth the money. I wanted to try the catfish from the soul food place, but $30- seemed excessive. Maybe next time?!?

Fun place with good beer and a great food selection! Fun to sit outside and play bags with a tasty beverage. The worst part is trying to decide what food to eat because the selections are all really good. I was in town for 5 days, came here 3 times.

If you go there make sure to hit the Sushi truck...I am very picky when it comes to sushi, it was soooo goooood!! The gentleman making it was super nice. Inside, the band was great, the stouts were sublime and lots of room to sit with friends. Low long tables for big groups, tall round tables and also comfy couch and love seat sitting area. Fun place!

This food cart pod has at least 18 food carts so choices are many & diverse. There WILL be something for any taste. AC is set at a comfortable temperature and plenty of large benches for sitting. A few outside table too. A nice bonus is free paper cups and ice water AND no signage restricting outside beverages. Sometimes people just want to drink tap water and not sweetened drinks. Location of pod is excellent roughly near intersection of Lancaster & State (easily accessible from I-5). Only downside is limited parking which could be an issue on weekend nights. Driveway in and out to State Street is tight so drive carefully.

What a fun place! 18 different food carts around a central indoor hall offer something for everyone! I had the pancit bowl with adobo chicken and lumpia. While the pancit itself wasn't particular flavorful, the chicken was amazing, and the lumpia was some of the best I've had! My friend had fish tacos and a veggie burrito and enjoyed her food as well. It's a very chill, relaxed place, and great for everyone. The bartender provided great service including managing the line to order. Most dishes ran $15-18 dollars and you place your order at the cart, get your buzzer, and pick up when ready. If I lived closer, I'd be there a lot!

Great food choices. Not exactly "cheap" but the quantity and quality were both outstanding. I had the poke bowl which was huge and well stocked. Sitting was very comfortable , clean and airy Ambience was great Hidden gem. Check both sides before you order - there is something for everyone including a bar

Omg! What a lovely concept! I loved the variety of food trucks!! I couldn't make up my mind - ended ordering from multiple trucks. The chicken wings were incredible!! I got the secret sesame sauce and the lemon pepper. Would order again. Also got drunken noodles with chicken! It came out piping hot and was amazing. Best drunken noodles I've ever had!

Lots of variety, even for me (vegan) . Service is basically, do it yourself Ambience is community friendly and dog friendly. There are seating areas inside and outside.

Great location near the soccer fields- we loved all the options- something for everyone!

I recently stopped by Paco's with high hopes for some tasty treats but left thoroughly disappointed. I ordered an elephant ear and churros, expecting the classic sweet flavors and textures. First, the "elephant ear" was not what I anticipated. Instead of the traditional fluffy pastry, it was a deep-fried tortilla with visible lines from the cooking equipment. It was hard, lacked the necessary dusting of sugar and cinnamon, and was overall unappetizing. The churros didn't fare any better. They were dried out and also missing the signature cinnamon-sugar coating. Without it, they tasted bland and stale. The service didn't help improve the situation. The young woman at the counter seemed indifferent and unbothered by customers. Additionally, I was surprised by an extra fee for using a credit card. In total, I spent $10.50 on items that unfortunately ended up in the trash. I hope Paco's takes this feedback to heart and makes improvements, but as of now, I can't recommend this place.

Great this food. Not a fan of the $22 poke bowl. Tuna wasn't the best and dang the price is steep. There were so many good options. Check both sides. Indoor seating with water available and indoor bathrooms.

Everything Ive tried here is great. My favorite is Paco's Tacos, fish tacos! Nice indoor or outdoor seating areas, plenty of parking.

We loved our experience here today! Our first visit based on our yelp helpers! Thank you! My husband had an incredible Philly cheesesteak dip sandwich with fries. Great steak , moist and very flavorful! From the other food truck I ordered the Thai soup and rice! Fast and fresh for our road trip day! Great variety of cuisines! Comfort fort to sushi! Worth a stop!

Loved this place when I was in Oregon working. Great food, great beer on tap, and an amazing atmosphere. Would definitely go back. They have enough food trucks to have something for everyone. Check this place out if you get a chance, they won't disappoint

The Yard is a pretty amazing place! A variety of food trucks offered with plenty of seating, parking and a bar on top of that! We tried 5 of the food trucks they offer and they were all individually amazing! Everyone busses their own tables, there's tvs, and space for a large group of people. Definitely will visit again next time when I visit Oregon!

I love this place! Soooo many options! The interior is an excellent place when it's raining. It's warm and festive! Plenty of seating. There's also a bar and espresso bar. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos this round. All the trucks are covered which is also great! The service depends on the tuck, but all seemed very nice! There are also indoor restrooms!!

This is such a unique place to dine in Salem. The yard is a large indoor dining space with tons of seating and room for live performances and a full bar with a dozen + food card vendors outside. Not all of the vendors were open when I visited, but their hours are posted on the yards website.

Salem! Wake up! This place is incredible!!! Great assortment of beer! Pastatastic! Amazing! Gyropolos! The best yet! Eddys Philly Cheesesteak! Tender and great fries! I don't go out much when I visit Salem cuz my sister is an amazing chef! Most places suck comparatively! This was a wonderful surprise!! It is now on the list!!

We've been to The Yard twice and it is such a fun place for dinner. Super kid friendly. I love being able to choose whatever food truck you want to get dinner from. Tried a delicious hard cider the last time I was there, and we played music bingo, which was a blast. Look forward to going back.

Great stop on they way back to Portland. Lots of choices. I liked the Thai place the most. Great selection of local beer! Comfortable seating and ample amount of restrooms. Good outdoor seating.

Lots of great food options and a central indoor area to eat in. They also have a full bar inside and they host events occasionally. We really enjoyed and will be back.

In short: Plenty of choices, there's a bar, there are trivia/bingo nights and shows, and everything's clean. Only possible drawback--you guessed it--is that their 100-spot parking lot is sometimes completely packed. In long: These folks have perfected a concept that in most places doesn't even exist. Well over a dozen food trucks, most of which are always open for dinner if not for more hours. Open til 9 in summertime. Lots of parking, but sometimes more-than-lots of customers, too. You walk in past half of the food trucks, check the menus. Cross through the building and there are 8-10 more on the other side. Huge variety. Comforting favorites like BBQ, burgers, or Philly cheesesteak, plus Hawaiian, Filipino, Thai. There's a fish & chips spot and a shellfish-boil spot. Inside, there are highboys, cafe tables, long picnic tables, suitable for everything from you by yourself to an entire kids' sports team celebrating the game or the season. All types and sizes of groups. At one end is a FULL BAR, which most food truck rodeos lack. Good cocktails, good taps. Not sure about the wine selection. At the other end is a low stage and some nice clean restrooms. Ultimately, you pick based on the food, so the venue matters only so much. But I can honestly say that if I lived near Salem I would come in here without checking who's even open, and walk around until I found something that sounded good. I had decent loco moco, and the rest of the group had awesome soul food, Filipino, and Thai soup. Jasmine Flower will hit you with the peppers if you go full-on spicy. Dig it.

On our way to Seattle we looked up a place for lunch and found this awesome Food Truck place and beer shop! We ate at Jasmine's and had some delicious Kikin' chicken wings! Had a wine from Argentina and beer we all loved it. Nice music, open space, friendly people! Wow loved it!!!! Had a fantastic out of this world Tom Kha!!! Coconut soup!!!

I saw this place recommended on the Eugene Foodies Facebook page as a place to go if you are in Salem. Oh. My. Goodness! It is one of the coolest experiences, to have over a dozen completely different food carts all in one place. Not only very diverse carts but also indoor and outdoor seating with games, a full row of beer and cider taps, coffee bar and I saw a drink manu for a full bar! They even had a stage inside and do concerts. We ordered form 3 carts. Tacos from the Mexican cart. Pad See Ew from the Thai cart. Buffalo chicken fries from the chicken wing cart. And everything was delicious!! If there is a food you want, it's probably The Yard! Next time we are in Salem, we are going and trying 3 new carts!!

A lot of food trucks in a little part of town. And it's great to order a bunch of small things from different vendors. You're covered the whole Tim unless you sit in the patio. Tables inside & RRs are nice

We have a group that eats here every couple of months. Great food, lots of choices. I love the gyros cart, the Chinese place and the burger cart.

I had nachos from the Burria food truck and the picture looked so good. It was basically tortilla chips with half a pound of shredded beef and a little nacho cheese sauce squirted on it. 2 pepper slices and 2 pickled carrot slices. Ugh. I threw 2/3 of it away. Sorry.

This food truck "collective" is really cool! So many great choices for food! I got the "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers" pizza (I can't remember the food truck name) and 2 people could have shared it! They do need to expand parking choices, since this place fills up really quick! The drinks at the bar are reasonably priced, but I wouldn't call it a "full bar". We ordered a gin and tonic done a certain way and just got a confused look, feeling rushed to order and to move on.

I would say this is a must do when in the area! Great options for a variety of food and great beer selection! Service was friendly! We tried out Mediterranean and really enjoyed it. Also had Indian which was great. It's a unique experience and a fun spot to hang at.

We sat outdoor. The ambiance was nice. We played some of the yard games & had a great time. We had Thai food from Jasmin Flower. It was AWFUL! We couldn't eat any more than a bite. We tossed it almost entirely untouched. It did not taste like Thai. The pad Thai tasted like noodles soaked in a cheap pink Chinese sweet & sower sauce. It was horrible - strong, gooey & sweet & vinegary. Close to no toppings with the noodles. The spicy basil fried rice tasted like rice with teriyaki soy sauce on it. Again, close to no other items mixed in, it was basically just soy sauce rice. The pad see ew noodles were not even close to the right kind of noodle. I think they used the same noodles used for the pad Thai. It didn't even look like pad see ew. I didn't taste it, but it also was tossed. Needless to say, I will never order from this food truck again. I'll also spare anyone going here from order from this food truck. While the ambience was nice, the whole point of going here was to eat. The food was horrible, so I gave the place only 1 star.

There are lots of choices of food here. My wife and ordered from the Thai food cart. We both ordered the Pad Thai, she had it with tofu and I had the chicken. It was to sour and sweet, we didn't finish it. The service was pretty quick. Ambiance was nice and an indoor seating for lot's people and families.

This concept isn't prevalent in Dallas, but you will find food parks all over Oregon. This one is located in Salem and my dad frequents there so he was overjoyed to celebrate his birthday with all of us. There is a building in the center that is open on two sides and covered. Inside was plenty of seating, a bar, and live music. Surrounding the building is a great mix of types of food trucks that you can order from. We stopped by several and had no difficulty ordering food. The service overall was stellar! We will be back!

if you want a good atmosphere with a lot of different food ideas and amazing bar staff hit this place up I wish the parking lot was a little bit bigger but overall five stars and if I could do more than that I would the food trucks that they have in place right now or perfect fit for this place

I love the concept! Love the fastness of food options. Just bring a must for curiosity and a dash of patience. You won't be disappointed!

Good beer, kid friendly, full bar, lots of different options for everyone and a good atmosphere. Sometimes it's packed and sometimes it's dead when we go. Wish the trucks would have more consistent hours. Some close early if you go closer to closing.

Good selection of carts here and full bar is nice too. We go here often for the great service as well.

The food was good it was nice the service was pretty good they were nice people. All the variety of food I will have to go back and try some more.

I really like the set up here. A good variety of vendors, a lot of indoor seating and full bar service. Parking can become an issue at peak times. My issue is that due to the vendor contracts only a portion of vendors can be open on any given day. Due to my schedule there have been vendors I want to try but can't because they are not open when it works for me. Otherwise I recommend giving this place a whirl.

There are a lot of food cards to choose from, and all the food comes out pretty quickly from them. There's also a nice indoor space with a variety of drinks and beer, and good service and they're friendly.

One Stop eatery - sure to please the group! Options, options and options! One person wants tacos, another gyros, another BBQ and another Thai - The concept brings together a variety of food trucks into one location complete with covered inside and outdoor seating. Variety of Beers on tap, coffee and possibly a bar inside. Music, some cornhole games outside and just a cool place to eat and chill. Both the eating area and bathrooms were clean My husband had tacos which looked tasty. Me?, I had a Gyros and it was tasty. I'd definitely return.

my favorite place to get Thai food is here!! the drunken noodles are not the wide noodles that some places have, but it is so so good! I've also tried the pineapple & basil fried rices, this place doesn't miss as far as I'm concerned. everyone I take here loves it! I will note that if you ask for your food extra spice, it will in fact be VERY extra spicy!! the yard as a whole is a really nice place, aside from there being so many options for places to get food from, there are seating options both indoor and outdoor and the indoor bar has a nice selection of beer & cider on tap. it is family friendly and a nice place to hang out at and enjoy a nice meal at - especially during the summer!

Happened in here with a friend when we couldn't decide where to go for lunch. This was the perfect solution allowing us each to grab what we wanted. On that first trip I went with the Kalua Pork from Get Seom Aloha and a strawberry lemonade with classic boba from Bobablastic. I have since gone back with family and I did the boba lemonade again, but this time opted for a falafel gyro. My family opted for the lamb gyro and I haven't stopped hearing about how wonderful it was...four days later. I mean my falafel was good but not rave about it for four days good. I guess I should try the lamb next time :) As far as that original lunch the pork was good but I prefer the food truck at Beergarden in Eugene. I would probably try some other trucks before hitting this one again...but I will hit it again.

The Yard! What's not to like? All the things you want for a foodie in one convenient place! Only way to top that is to make another place called the mile right? With more food carts than the yard. Anyway, I am all in for robust food carts!

What a great place!! My extended family and I were driving from San Francisco to Seattle and stopped here for a bite to eat and to use the restrooms. There were 8 of us and everyone found something yummy to eat. My wife and I ate at the Thai foodtruck. We ordered Tom Kha soup and Pad See Ew. They were great and very warm, excellent for a cold rainy day. We also had the special dessert of the day: Mango over sweet stick rice. It was so so delicious! Our relatives had shawarma and chicken wings among others. Everything we tried was good. We also loved the fact they have a great selection of beers and a few wines and of course much needed coffee for the road. We hope to stop by again on our way down south!

Love heading to The Yard for so many awesome choices! We love the vibe of the place especially on a sunny afternoon when we can sit outside with a drink from their well stocked bar & enjoy food from one of the delicious food carts! This is fun for all ages with good service, easy parking and a terrific ambiance!
