The Yards

I think they’re trying to gentrify the place to be a chic place to live in amidst the sewer processing plant and the not-quite-rid-of undesirable elements. But the bridge and the park are lovely to see and maybe jog in. The Washington Nationals baseball stadium is just there also. Tons of good places to eat plus a delightful Harris Teeter food market.

I visited The Yards in the evening, and it turned out to be the perfect time to enjoy the waterfront. The illuminated bridge reflecting on the water created a calm, stunning view that made the whole experience feel peaceful and memorable. Even though fall isn’t the ideal season overall, the night scenery more than made up for it. A beautiful spot to unwind and take in the city’s glow.

Nice park to walk around for a weekend stroll. I visited this park after touring the National Museum of the United States Navy right by. There are a lot of restaurants along the park, along with opportunities to kayak along the Anacostia River. The swimming pool shown on the Google Maps info card was drained and closed when I arrived, and I'm not sure when it'll reopen. There's not too much shade around the park, so bringing an umbrella or some sunscreen is a good idea, especially on a hot sunny day.

Bring the kids on a hot summer day and enjoy the sounds and surrounding areas. Great views are a super short distance from tons of awesome places, including national stadium, board walk,trails, and lots of scenic areas. Enjoy at night as well with local music and great vibes.

Beautiful space with spectacular views! Loved the long and wide boardwalks. So many stunning buildings in the area as well. It was great to just walk around here.

Nive views in a clean environment with a few restaurants to choose from. I enjoyed my vit here. Just sitting down by the water and the fountain was a nice experience
