The Yards

Beautiful space with spectacular views! Loved the long and wide boardwalks. So many stunning buildings in the area as well. It was great to just walk around here.

Very nice park, very tranquil. We went on Memorial Day holiday and it was very quiet. Only a few people jogging or walking along the river bank. Only a few shops were open. Lots of shaded areas with wooden bench seats in the garden. A nice place to catch the breeze or relax or catch up on your book.

Bring the kids on a hot summer day and enjoy the sounds and surrounding areas. Great views are a super short distance from tons of awesome places, including national stadium, board walk,trails, and lots of scenic areas. Enjoy at night as well with local music and great vibes.

Nice park to walk around for a weekend stroll. I visited this park after touring the National Museum of the United States Navy right by. There are a lot of restaurants along the park, along with opportunities to kayak along the Anacostia River. The swimming pool shown on the Google Maps info card was drained and closed when I arrived, and I'm not sure when it'll reopen. There's not too much shade around the park, so bringing an umbrella or some sunscreen is a good idea, especially on a hot sunny day.

I take my grandkids there on hot days and they love it. It's like a small pool they just can't jump in but they play football and with water guns but not my babies 😂 there are a lot of restaurants you can choose from to eat Harris teeter, you can walk you dogs I also believe you can fish on the back side of the restaurant, you also can do a picnic out there but you can't use a tent yes no ten or canopy. Also no bathroom unless people's and one of the restaurants will let you use their

Beautiful park with stroller friendly walking paths and outdoor seating! The Yards parking lot is $35 a day, but so much less stressful then the surrounding underground garages. It’s a beautiful walk to the capital building if you want to stay just outside of the hustle and bustle!
