the BEST bar in the east village!!! came here for the first time when it opened a few years ago and it never misses. pls do yourself a favor and try their caesar salad. it’s the best one you’ll ever eat!! great cocktails, better food, even better service ❤️❤️

This place is such a gem. Cozy and fun atmosphere with the nicest people. They have a solid burger that hits the spot everything. Don't sleep on the brussel sprouts, they are sooo addicting we ordered them 3 times. Honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They made an amazing drink recommendation called the naked & famous that absolutely delicious. Also had their Irish coffee to warm me up on a cold day. Give this place a shot!!

Loved this place. They have an amazing Happy Hour. The space is not huge but it's comfortable and cozy. The decor is simple but appealing. I had the $13 Happy Hour Combo which consisted of a Smashburger, fries and beer. The beer has to be Tecate or Coors. I paid a little more because I wanted a different beer (that's fair). Beers are $2 off and well drinks are $3 off. Regular drinks are reasonably priced also. The Burger was 😋. Luisa, the bartender, was very nice. The service was great. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back.

I need to sing my praises because this is the best place ever. They are so kind and accommodating and we had a big party there and Kayla held it down. She is the kindest most incredible soul. We had amazing drinks fabulous prices and incredible food it was 100 and no more notes.

My partner and I had a wonderful date night! We shared a bunch of small plates, including a delicious cheese plate and some wings, all while enjoying a round of beers. Everything came out super quick, and the staff were so friendly. The live band was a lovely touch—it added to the atmosphere without being too loud. Parking wasn't the best, but we used rideshare and it worked out perfectly. Overall, such a cozy and cute spot!

Went here recently with my girlfriend. Very chill and laid back location with some of the most amazing employees who were ready to help with anything and everything. Burger was tasty chicken sandwich was even better. Can't beat these prices either. Really enjoyed the service here and will definitely come back.

This. THIS. This is what the East Village needs more of. Comfy vibes, amazing staff, cheap eats that don't sacrifice quality - and stiff drinks at a reasonable price. Vegetarian friendly too, which is rare for a smash burger menu. The perfect place to begin your night, to end it, or anytime in between. Leave pretension at the door and embrace the casual seating and ordering system at the bar. You won't regret swinging by and soaking up the atmosphere.

I stopped by on a Thursday night, and the atmosphere was perfect - bustling enough to feel energetic, but not so packed that I couldn't find a seat. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure I had everything I needed. But let's talk about the real star of the show: the food. I decided to try their signature burger, and let me tell you, it was a revelation. The patty was perfectly smashed, giving it a crispy exterior while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. The onions added a nice bite without overwhelming the other flavors. And don't even get me started on the fries - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served piping hot. One more rec for the owner (if they read this): some extra ketchup would be great! Súper great little happy hour spot! $13 for a single pattie burger, fried and a miller high life. can't beat it.

We made it here for happy hour. It seems like the buzz has died down a little so we were able to snag a comfortable table. You order at the bar and they bring you your food. We got the burger, fries and beer for 12 dollars. The fries were great. The size and texture reminded me of McDonald fries, but better fried The burger was just alright. But not tastier than what you can get at the 7th st Burger place or shake shack. Glad I tried the happy hour deal once since it's been on my radar!

INFLATION BUSTER ALERT! God I love that term, feel it should be used more. "INFLATION BUSTER" really just makes me laugh. Every time. I have been walking by the York for the past few weeks, and saw the happy hour sign outside. "Happy hour... 2-7... $12 for a burger, fries, and beer." Am I being punked? Did I accidentally time travel to the 1960s? Shidddd I wish, seeing Hendrix at Woodstock would have been tight. Anyways, I ended up trying it out with my roommate (former USC Basketball Superstar) on a Friday afternoon. We walk in the door and stand there and look at each other for a bit. "Is there a host or do we seat ourselves.." we communicated telepathically. After about 37 seconds of awkwardly standing there, my roommate goes up to the bartender and asks him if we seat ourselves. I'm really shy, hehe. Turns out the bartender was the ONLY one working the entire floor of the restaurant, and he did a DAMN good job. It was like 1 on 25 and he was running that no problem. Shoutout to Conor!!! The burger was honestly surprisingly very decent, and the fries got the job done as well. For the inflation buster special (IBS), you have 3 beer options of draft coors, bud light, or tecate. Tbh, I really don't know beer at all but went with the draft coors as that's what my big homie recommended. Take advantage of this IBS while it lasts!

Have to say this place is top notch. Unfortunately I ate before arriving so I didn't get to try their food, well, except the fries (bomb). I can't wait to visit nyc again to try everything on the menu... Everything sounds very creative and thoughtfully put together, with an even better price. The cocktail I ordered was delicious and I really love their natural wine selection. Bartender was very friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere was so nice. It's a tad small, but I love the intimacy and all the attention to detail. Like I said, excited for next time!

"A nice addition to the neighborhood" New gastropub / restobar in the heart of Alphabet City, serving your familiar favorite food + libations. It has a classic, dark, candle lit feel, that should warm the heart of any long time dweller of the far lower east. Prices are super reasonable, in stark contrast to many of the newer places that have opened with more of a $$$$ nod to the West part of town.

The lads and I went here during the week for some burgers and brews. For such an unassuming spot, the smash burgers absolutely SLAP. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better one for less than $10. My boy said the breakfast sandwich was even better, so I ordered one to-go lol. I spent $30 for two beers and two amazing sandwiches, which is hard to come by in Manhattan. The place is quite intimate, so it might get uncomfy if it's packed. If you're able to secure seating, amazing spot for a casual hang or date night.

Came here because of the photos in their profile. Was a bit annoyed to find none of the women from their profile were in attendance, nor were there any other nude elder women present. That said the burger was delicious and the staff, albeit male and fully clothed, were friendly. I'd recommend going to a different burger joint if you're looking for the experience suggested in their photos.

This is bar is new and definitely a secret gem right now, though I think the secret will be out soon. We wandered in her by reco of a bar tender at Soda Club where there were no available spots. It doesn't look like much from the outside but thought we'd risk it and so glad we did! We were lucky to find the last two open seats there (like I said, won't be a secret for long so get in now while you still can)! I loved the atmosphere - so cozy and chill. The prices were also insanely good - $10 for a glass of wine, $5 onion rings, shishito peppers, etc. (one of the only good spots in the area that inflation hasn't hit yet). They don't have a cocktail menu but the bar tenders are skilled - they made me the perfect spicy marg (and I saw that had candied ginger possibly for Moscow mules)! I'll keep going here for as long as I can get a seat. So very glad I checked it out.

2 burgers and a side of onion rings for around $22 is pretty good nowadays. The food is about what you'd expect: not amazing, but good enough to eat with drinks. I'd definitely imagine this place gaining traction as a solid pregame area, to drink and eat with friends in a nice environment for fairly cheap.

Best place in town! Also probably the only place i've seen with Kronenbourg on draft in NYC....brings me back to the alleys of gay paree. $12 for burger, fries and beer... or $15 to upgrade to chicken sandwich during happy hour. Don't sleep!

Went for the happy meal burger. Not really a burger, more like a slider. It was ok. The bartender was nice, but I have to go back because the amount that hit my credit card a few days later was a little higher. Not a lot, but still, whether it's $1 or $15 have to get it right. No one picks up the phone, 646.998.4138. It's in the neighborhood so not inconvenient to return to fix the issue.

I stopped in here this week for the first time. Owners are very cool people and extremely friendly. I didn't eat the food but the ambience is great. Highly recommend.

The York is a friendly, cozy bar bar with great burgers. HH is from 2 pm during weekdays, so I'll be coming here for late lunch often.

I'm reluctant to leave reviews like this for fear my wait time for a table will exceed my patience and I will be sad to walk away and be deprived of my tasty treat. But I'm flexing my writing skills so, here goes... The York on Ave B Cheeseburger is the highest quality, consistently cooked to a perfect medium rare, tastiest, basic cheeseburger on a perfectly proportioned tasty bun I've had in lower Manhattan. That's coming from someone who only eats a cheeseburger every two months or so. That translates to a place meeting my requirements in order to get me out the door of my comfy apartment where I can order in anything... except this delicious cheeseburger--they don't deliver. Added perk are the perfectly crispy, not too greasy, flavorful onion rings. Checking off my list: They have a pleasant ambiance where the customer rules the space - not the music, decor, or anything else that's not the customer; Happy and respectful staff; Cleanliness without any residual aromas from cleaning agents offending my hypersensitive sense of smell that stops me at the entrance of many an establishment I'd otherwise frequent. Also, The York has a novel business model in that they allow for the customer to exercise their own agency in respectfully finding their way on their own to a seat and to sidle up to the bar to order their food from the one of two impressively proficient bartenders--the ONLY staff on the floor--who juggle between being mixologists; pulling a proper pint of Guinness; running food tickets; delivering your food to your table; busing; closing your tab and all with a pleasant smile on their face! Who else does that? But, come to think of it, don't go. You wouldn't like it. And you'll be in the way of my getting a table in a timely manner!

Great happy hour deals and fun ambiance. The service was friendly if a little slow; but you're there to relax and enjoy, not be in a hurry. The chicken sandwich was crisp and delicious; the "okie" burger was too onion-y for me but I just picked some off. The margarita was not overly sweet, nice and sour.
