I started coming to The Young American Salon when my stylist Kara Szot became apart of their team. The atmosphere at The Young American is so welcoming and filled with kind people who all are passionate/love what they do. Kara Szot has been my stylist for the past 6 years and I cannot imagine ever going to anyone else. She goes above and beyond to achieve my desired hair goals and I’m always happy with the outcome. She is knowledgeable, passionate, and down to earth. She communicates with me throughout my appointment to make sure I’m happy with how it’s looking. I’ve gotten different types of extensions done by her as well as color and each time the color match and install of extensions couldn’t be more perfect. I’m so thankful to have found Kara and look forward to many more years of appointments with her and I’m also thankful for the fantastic atmosphere she now is apart of that I get to experience! It’s a win all around.

I’ve been with Brooke now for about 5 years both here and at her previous salon, and when she joined TYA I was so excited for her. This salon is just gorgeous, I wish I could live in it. Brooke is an amazing stylist, she is always open to trying new colors and cuts and is great at explaining and asking questions so that you get what you’re hoping for. At my first visit with her, we did a big chop and took off almost all of my hair. At our latest, visit we did the calico hair trend and it’s been by far my favorite work she’s done. We’ve been through it all together 😉 The conversation is always great, too. Love Brooke & love TYA!

I love this salon and my stylist Brooke! I’ve been getting my hair done by her for the last few years and she always does such a great job. This is the most recent color she’s done on me and it’s probably my favorite so far! I can’t recommend this place enough!

The Young American Salon has such a relaxed, friendly vibe. It has the feel of good friends just catching up, sharing what has been going on in their respective lives. The salon is always super clean with a very eclectic design, from the gigantic moose head to the adorable vintage ceramic lions on the wall. And, my stylist Maddie, is the absolute best hands down!! Going to The Young American is an experience, not just an appointment to get your hair done. If you've never been you are missing out! And, Bedarra's right next door so you can order delicious food and drinks and they're brought right to you at the salon!

I always have such an amazing experience with my hairstylist! From the moment I walked in, I feel completely welcomed and at ease. She always welcomed me with a smile. She always takes the time to really listen to what I want, offer helpful suggestions, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The end result? Absolutely flawless. My hair looks and feels incredible—I’ve received so many compliments!!! You can truly tell she is truly passionate about her craft and she cares about her clients.

This place is really Awesome! Great atmosphere and great people!! Every single stylist at The Young American salon is super friendly and incredibly talented! I got the pleasure of getting my hair cut and colored, twice, by Lexi Disney and it was a 10 outta 10 each time! She's currently on leave right now so my upcoming appointment is with Brooke and, like I said, they're all very talented so I'm really excited! I even made an appointment for my boyfriend too!

I literally will always recommend The Young American Salon to anyone and everyone. Every single stylist is amazing! I have been seeing Sam for several years now, and she always does an outstanding job. She prioritizes the integrity of my hair while still giving me great colors. I've also seen Crista who is wonderful! The vibe of the salon is so cool, kind, and inviting. I truly look forward to my appointments to get to see my stylist, shop affordable product, listen to great jams, and just be apart of the chill environment. TYA rules!

Best haircut I've ever had. Great experience. Love the decor, love the music, love the products, love the people, love the vibe. Sam cut and colored hair. She took her time and really paid attention to detail. She even gave me a styling lesson. I don't generally enjoy getting my hair done, but Sam was fun to talk to and I felt great walking out of there. 100% recommend this salon.

My husband bought me a gift card for Christmas on a whim. I had just tried my fourth salon after having been with the same lady for 20 plus years (she retired). I have thick, unruly hair, and getting the right cut is hard to find. Sam, the owner, did such an impressive job on both color and style. I left feeling terrific and so pleased to have finally found a great place. I'm about to schedule my third appointment. I highly recommend them!
