12 Top-Notch Rooftop Bars in Phoenix | Eater Phoenix

"Set atop serial restaurateur Sam Fox’s new and buzzy Global Ambassador Hotel, dimly lit, glass-enclosed Thea has indoor and outdoor seating. Either way, you catch an incredible close-up of Camelback Mountain and, as the sun goes down, gorgeous views of twinkling city lights. Given the setting, the approachable menu is surprisingly affordable, offering various mezze (Greek street fries and manti dumplings, for example), meat or veggie skewers, flatbreads, and entrees such as cast-iron brick chicken with fregola and zhoug, or Greek-style grilled lamb chops with olive oil, oregano, and lemon. Check out Thea’s huge selection of rosé wines, one of the largest in the U.S." - Nikki Buchanan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stunning Views Absolutely stunning rooftop experience! Théa delivers the perfect mix of Mediterranean flavors, elevated cocktails, and breathtaking Camelback Mountain views. The vibe is chic yet relaxed — ideal for sunset dinners or a lively night out. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, especially the dips and Lamb Chops. Service was polished and friendly. A must-visit for anyone looking for Scottsdale’s most glamorous rooftop dining spot. Vibes are always 10/10. $$$$ Must Try; Whipped Ricotta Pressed Yellowtail Manti Dumplings Octopus Greek salad Chicken or Steak Skewers Grilled Lamb Chop Bone-in Ribeye 20oz

Reserved for lunch on the weekend and had a wonderful experience. Everything tasted very flavorful and well seasoned. Personally loved the whipped ricotta and flatbread for their smooth and crispy texture. Definitely worth a stop for the mountain view.

My friend and I were visiting Az for a celebration. This restaurant was amazing. The food was great! Lauren- our service provider was amazing too, very kind and professional. We had the Ribeye and Lamb chops- I recommend! Whipped ricotta was the starter. Drinks were amazing, and the view was great! Complimentary cheese cake for our celebration 🎉 will definitely be back!

Came with a large party for a friends birthday! Thea is a great place to go for drinks and some apps, we felt the entree’s fell a bit short and were overpriced for what it was, small portions lacking depth of flavor (especially the kebabs). The dips are phenomenal! Even better service and staff. Great rooftop/sunset spot. They need more misters on their patio! Please specify when you reserve as we were sweating by the time we left.

The ambiance here is both romantic and fun. Even though I came for a solo date, I never once felt uncomfortable. The music set the vibe perfectly fun, relaxed, and really added to the overall atmosphere. My waitress Marina was amazing! She was so kind, talked to me throughout my meal, and made me feel really comfortable dining alone. She was genuinely encouraging and made the whole experience even better. Food & Drinks • sunseeker Cocktail – Really good! Balanced, flavorful, and something I’d definitely order again. • Mediterranean Olives – Very good, especially if you’re already an olive lover. Simple but satisfying. • Open-Faced Lamb Pita – Delicious main dish! I added a little of the olive oil from the table, and it elevated the flavors even more. Great food, great drinks, and even better service. Marina truly made my experience memorable. Whether you’re out with someone or treating yourself to a solo date, this spot is a wonderful choice.

We came for brunch and it was delicious. We splurged on the dip appetizer and we highly recommend!! I had a cheeseburger and it melted in your mouth. The service was okay, we felt forgotten a lot. But overall I would highly recommend this place. Get a patio table but only if it’s a cool day. It was hot and there was no shade. Multiple parties moved inside.

We really enjoy both the indoor and outdoor bars that offer a stunning view of the city and sunsets! All the staff is attentive and provides excellent service - we especially enjoyed the amazing cocktails and service from Freddie! Highly recommend the skirt steak and calamari

We went for my wife’s birthday; the atmosphere and service were top notch with great views of Camelback. Our drinks were tasty and the food was excellent. Highlights for me were the tuna crudo, the Moroccan carrots, and the truffle filet skewers (nice touch of truffle without being overpowering). Nice spot for a special occasion.

Yelp
Our group of 6 had an outside couch reservation. Beautiful spot to see the mountains and sunset! Our server was Gilmore. Very knowledgeable on the menu. Excellent service! Check it out! Food was amazing. We shared starters and flatbread. I recommend the flatbread pizza and kopanisti dip. Sooo good! The Turkish meatballs, Greek street fries and Brussels sprouts were also wonderful!

Yelp
Laura was super sweet and made sure we were taken care of the entire night. Thank you for making my sister's birthday special.

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant! From the minute you walk in, the ambience is refreshing and takes you away to another place. It's absolutely beautiful. Let's talk about that epic view! Whether you're inside or outside, there are views for days. There really is not a bad seat in the house. Now drinks and food. Our group had many different types of cocktails, and nobody was disappointed. We chose to do a ton of small dishes and everything was absolutely phenomenal. There was not one bad dish. We were celebrating my husband's 50th and they brought over his favorite dessert to end our meal. Definitely hoping to return on my next visit.

Yelp
The meal, the view, the service all amazing! I was in Scottsdale for the weekend with family and we decided to check it out. Wow! We were not disappointed! You can make reservations, but we walked in on Sunday evening. There was a thirty minute wait. While waiting we ordered drinks at the bar. They have an excellent selection of wine, cocktails and beer. While waiting we walked around the beautiful patio with spectacular views. There was a drone show happening in the distance! This was also a great spot for some group pictures. Our table was ready shortly after getting drinks and taking some pics. We were a group of six and seated in a private dining area. The service from staff was impeccable! Everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating. This made for such a nice experience! Our server, Shane, was amazing! He was attentive and gave us the best recommendations. We started with sharing some of the small plates. All were delicious, flavorful and perfect! My favorites were the Turkish meatballs and falafel. Shane suggested sharing an entree between two. He recommended the blistered half chicken and the yams and WOW!! The chicken was tender, juicy and had a citrusy and light mint flavor. The yams with the whipped labneh were the perfect pairing to the chicken. We enjoyed every bite of our food and cleaned our plates! Sharing was the best suggestion! We unfortunately were too full for dessert, but the dessert menu sounded delicious. Everything about this meal and dining experience was spectacular! It made for a memorable last night in Scottsdale. The only downside is I don't live closer to return and try all the other dishes. If you are in the area definitely make théa a priority!

Yelp
I thought this might be stuffy and overrated because of the location and hype, but wowww was I wrong. From the start to the finish, this was a 10/10 experience all around. The design of the restaurant showcases the views, of course, but no thought was spared on the acoustics and overall experience. For reference, we ate at a similar Mediterranean place the day before, and the experience from there to here was like night and day. While the tables are close together in both restaurants, at Théa, Here, I could easily hear my dinner companion. It felt private, even though we were surrounded by people and the restaurant was packed. The music was not too loud and only added to the overall vibe. Now, onto the service. Our server, Rose, was fantastic! He was there when we needed him, not overbearing, provided honest food and drink recommendations, and was friendly, kind, and had great style! The food, oh my goodness, the food. I can't wait to come back. Everything was perfectly cooked with so much flavor! The chef here must be passionate because it certainly comes through in each dish. I think my favorite example of this is the Greek salad. A very simple item, hard to make memorable. And yet, I am now dreaming of this salad daily. The dressing, the ratio of vegetables to cheese, the saltiness balanced by the fresh flavors of the vegetables and the different spices - immaculate. Shrimp scampi - same thing. Easy dish, hard to make standout. Yet here, it was to die for. I would like to bottle the sauce and drink it, that's how good it was. I ate here until I could eat no more. And now, I can't wait to come back and try more! Also, the cocktails. Wow. Excellent, well made, not at all watered down or too overpowering with the alcohol. Balanced. Well-made. An experience if I've ever had one. Théa knows how to do it right! Make a resy, they do book up. And if you can get a sunset one, even better.

Yelp
Honestly, this was one of the best meals I've had. It rained so we ended up cancelling our brunch rezo but came in at dinner instead. The place was bustling with folks dressed to the nines. The espresso martini was solid, as was ALL of the food. I was so impressed with the spanikopita and the saganaki. The spreads were also amazing. The fries were good but probably wouldn't get them again. Overall, it was a great experience from service to dinner.

Yelp
Delicious food and great service! The restaurant itself has a great ambiance, very modern!

Yelp
Booked for brunch at 1:30pm. What a cool spot in the Global Ambassador, 6th floor. Amazing interior seating as well as full wrap around patio. We booked the camelback patio view which was great. Had a few glasses of wine, the meatballs, rainbow roll and whipped burrata all amazing. Service was amazing and very genuine. Combination of both locals and folks from out of town.

Yelp
This place has a nice feel that can be upscale but still can wear jeans and a nice shirt too as well. We got seated quickly with our reservation and ordered some drinks. I got the skinny margarita and we ordered the hummus and loaded fries. Then I ordered the chicken kabobs and she ordered the lamb. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing. We ended it with flourless chocolate cake and it really was so good.

Yelp
My 3rd visit to this restaurant, definitely in my favs list. The menu was slightly different this time but no complaints! As always, make reservations! Our waiter was great, he was always checking on us making sure we were doing ok with food/drinks. The Vibe was lively and bubbly! Definitely must add to your list.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday evening at 5:30 to celebrate a birthday. Thea is in the Global Ambassador hotel and worth walking through. Once you take the elevator to the rooftop you walk out to see a gorgeous view and a golden hued, airy restaurant. We were seated and introduced to our server Sloane, who was top-notch. She was friendly and regularly checked back in through our dinner. We started our meal with the whipped ricotta that was superb and an order of the olives were the perfect compliment. They have a fun drink menu with most of the cocktails being around $20 and a good wine list with glasses ranging from $16-$34. For dinner two people shared the mixed grill, which had a little bit of everything in it- chicken, souvlaki, lamb chops and more. It is a great way to try many things that are on the menu. I had the Manti Dumplings and the Spicy Tuna and Crispy Fried Rice. Both were so flavorful and beautifully plated. They offer a birthday dessert but we could not eat anymore, so Sloane included it in our take home package. Very nice! And overall a great experience. With the savory food and the terrific service, I will be back.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday with friends at the restaurant. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Our drinks were great. Our service was phenomenal and we never felt rushed. Our waitress was helpful with good recommendations to share with the table. They never rushed us. The ambiance is very pretty. The I side of the restaurant is nice. The views are impeccable. We loved the rooftop views of the valley. We enjoyed drinks on the rooftop patio after dinner and listened to the DJ. The firepits are a great touch. It was crowded and definitely seemed to draw a trendy crowd.

Yelp
Visited Théa on my birthday and I enjoyed every bit of it. The food was beyond delicious, the service was fast and the ambiance was perfect. The views you get from sitting on the patio on the rooftop was beautiful. Definitely recommend going for a special night out. It was well worth the visit

Yelp
Wow. The vibes were immaculate and classic from the servers to the decor and views. Came by on a Sunday afternoon and sat indoors since it was hot out, but the Camelback Mountain views and skylines were still visible from the windows and everywhere you looked. Connor was on top of it and sweet as our party slowly arrived. They were unfortunately out of the dumplings, but we did enjoy sharing the following: - Whipped Ricotta - dip was light and airy, though the pita bread felt a tad basic - Tuna Crudo - pretty good, definitely could taste the truffle ponzu and my friend said it hid the taste of the raw fish (which she preferred) - Spanakopita - first time having this and it was good! The flakiness of the pastry was done perfectly - Turkish Meatballs - I'm not a huge meatball fan, but appreciated the small spicy kick to it - Moroccan Roasted Carrots - delicious for veggies, though I would've liked more pistachios - Truffle Filet Skewer - my friends ordered this and I only had a bite, but wow. The outside was nicely grilled, but was unbelievably tender and melted in your mouth. This was by far the best thing of the night and I'd go back just for this We were also celebrating a few birthdays and the server was kind to surprise us with desserts and a candle! Unsure what it was, but it tasted like a vanilla bean filling with a lemon cake inside, topped with berries and a chocolate plaque with Happy Birthday. As for drinks, I'm a sucker for anything strawberry guava so asked to have it as a mocktail and it wasn't too bad! A bit sweet and tart, but refreshing for the hot weather. Will definitely be back when the weather's cooler, as their rooftop is massive with the views all around and for that filet skewer alone. There's also a parking garage across from valet parking Thea will validate at their hostess table.

Yelp
Nice views, nice drinks. Very sophisticated vibe. I don't have much to say about the food because I only tried the calamari. But I enjoyed my time there, it was a cute restaurant to get drinks with the girls.
google avatar

Haylee O.

Yelp
Came here for dinner during a girls weekend and did not disappoint. Incredible view of camelback mountain Our server was so kind, helpful, and fun to chat with Ordered the fries, whipped ricotta (the pita is comes with ), falafel, chicken skewers and sushi. Would order it all again except maybe not the fries. Highlight of the night was their take on an old fashioned. Delicious.

Yelp
From the reservation to the dessert this place is always hands down incredible!! Best private table for my daughter's 21st, we had amazing service and delicious food and drinks! Always coming back for more and especially with a sunset view of the mountains. We started with the Greek street fries, fried calamari and muhammara dip... best dip!! Ended up ordering grilled skirt steak, margherita flatbread and the Greek salad. I honestly don't have a favorite bc I haven't had a bad item on this menu. Just do family style like we did and order everything to share. The drinks were delicious as well, frozé sangria and the skinny marg were great but the Whiskey sours are spectacular!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything, and I mean everything was fantastic - the view, ambience, staff, drinks and of course, each bite of food we consumed. With no reservation on a very busy Wednesday, we were seated within 5-10 minutes. While we waited we took in the breathtaking views of the mountains from the rooftop patio that apparently wraps around the restaurant. This must be the place to be seen, since there were many beautifully dressed diners, as well as casually dressed ones, too. As soon as we were seated, our waiter greeted us and took our drink orders - sangria frose. So refreshing on a sweltering 100 degree Phoenix evening. I asked for recommendations, and I seemed like he pointed out every item on the menu. We ordered several- spicy tuna with crispy rice, manti dumplings, tabbouleh, baba ganoush with pita points, lamb pita, olive oil lemon cake. He didn't steer us wrong -- every single bite was delicious! In and out in 90 minutes. Food came out quickly and hot/freshly prepared. I wish I could take the tabbouleh on the plane, it was so good!

Yelp
Thea nails the vibe. Beautiful space, great lighting, music is on point -- feels upscale but not stuffy. Perfect spot for a date night or drinks with friends. Didn't feel rushed, just a great energy all around. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
* Thea is located on top of the Global Ambassador Hotel. The parking is not in this hotel unless you want valet then just bring your Bentley to the front. Lols When you turn into the hotel you will see another building of fancy apartments across from the Global. Go to the side of that building and you will see an opening for the parking garage. Keep your ticket and Thea will validate it for free parking. * Make sure you wear something nice. Doesn't have to be fancy but no ripped t shirts and joggers up in here. Lols * Ressies is a must. There is a $25 fee to hold it so if you're a no show you pay that I thought it would be snooty walking into this hotel but not the case, I was greeted warmly by a gentleman inside who pointed to the elevators. The elevators are located on the right side when you walk in. Take it all the way to the top for Thea. There is inside and outside seating. I told the hostess my friends were already seated outside so I took a quick walk around to find them. One side has a great view of the Camelback mountains while the other side is nothing exciting. We sat in the middle on the couches and planned to take pics of the views later anyways. There is a brunch menu but you can also order off their regular menu. Food is kinda pricey but we just ordered a bunch of appies to share and it was pretty reasonable between the four of us. Everything was delish - baba ghanoush, manti dumplings, roasted broccolini, calamari, Brussels sprouts, feta or Brie (I forgot which one) and honey, and the truffle flatbread. My friend didn't care for the latter saying it was too much truffle but I love truffle so give it all to me. Lols My friends got cocktails and said they were good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My only gripe is at the end when I asked the hostess who was was walking towards me if she could take a quick picture of my friends and I. We were already standing there and ready. She didn't even stop, kept walking and said no I'm busy I can't right now. I used to work at a restaurant so I get it. But if it was me I would have at least stopped and acknowledged the customer. Even though it only takes seconds to take a quick pic. No biggie, I took a selfie of us, we walked out and I saw the same hostess just standing up front chatting away with another hostess or staff that I overheard wasn't work related. Oh lawd....

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that the food here is absolutely divine. Probably one of my top 5 places of great food in AZ. Compliments to the chef team and BOH, from our apps to dessert it was phenomenal. Service was ok. Hostess' lacked personality and didn't seem happy to be there, sort of turned me off once I walked in, unfortunate as that was our first impression. We booked an outdoor table and traveled a while to eat here and was walked to an indoor table, we were confused as we booked prime sunset seating time and was rudely told that all reservations were moved inside due to inclement weather... I was a little confused as there was no notification prior and only a little bit of wind all night. I was trying to even push to be sat outdoors but the attitude of the host runner was, well lacked empathy. Anyways, we were bummed as the view and outdoor seating was a big reason we booked and drove so far but we made the best of it anyways. Food selections are so perfect I loved every aspect of the menu and also had some difficulties choosing what I wanted. The whipped Ricotta blew my mind and I'm a huge yellowtail lover, especially with yuzu kosho - my god was that dish so damn good!!! I decided on the mixed grill for my entree which left me astounded. My partner had the strip steak and it was so delicious. Food made up for the view discrepancy and dessert was the cherry on top. One other downfall was our server forgot to order my partners drink and needed to be reminded, not a huge deal but it could've been to someone else. Idk just the food is so high quality for the service to end up being sub par. It was like something was missing from start to finish. We were also never asked if we wanted to order more drinks once ours was finished. In the future hope we will be back for more great food and better vibes.

Yelp
Completely get the hype! Atmosphere only outdone by the views. Great staff backed with a crazy good menu. Recommend multiple plates to share. Can't wait to go back .

Yelp
I brought a few friends from out of town to enjoy the rooftop and we loved it! The views are amazing and the drinks were delicious and decently priced.the bartenders were friendly but we didn't have any interactions with other staff before we got to the bar area. I just wish they could add more lounge seating in the bar area since it's such a popular spot! Overall I recommend this spot!

Yelp
What a beautiful place to celebrate a 3 year anniversary. The atmosphere is very loud, but romantic at night. We sat outside which helped alot but there is just such a nightlife here it's a bit hectic and overwhelming at times. Great spot for large groups, girls nights, or fancy date, just don't count on it being intimate. The food, wow it was great. The hummus was probably my least favorite dish but the shrimp Scorpio was delicious. I was able to substitute the orzo for spaghetti, and it was divine. Would come back for that dish again. Flavors were unique and classic to Mediterranean. We did call ahead and get a reservation for our anniversary but unfortunately did not get the free dessert I saw on Yelp that others had received. I'll get them next time!

Yelp
I have been wanting to check out Thea for a while and finally made it a little girls night dinner. 11/10, exceeded my expectations. First thing, service. Rina was our server and was super attentive, sweet and thoughtful! She overheard the word "birthday" and brought us a little birthday treat, which I thought was amazing. Food and drinks were stellar. I got a spicy margarita with fluffy pineapple, whipped ricotta for the table (x2 because it was that good) and salmon for my entree. The margarita was perfectly balanced - not overly sweet and right amount of kick to it. I have to say I was most impressed by my salmon. I absolutely hate quinoa but I think it came with and it was actually so flavorful and delicious. Perfect cook on my salmon and the sauce was the best pairing! Views and ambiance are great. This place is great for a date night, friends outing or celebration. Can't wait to come back and try more!!
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
We have dined here twice and the food was consistently delicious both times and for all members of the party. It's a very a lively place on the weekends with beautiful view of Camelback and the city. The service was great and we will definitely dine here again.
google avatar

Camille D.

Yelp
Came here for my husband and I's birthday celebration. The food was amazing. So flavorful, great quality and the drinks were refreshing! The reason for the 4 stars was the fact that we had a reservation and still ended up waiting another 30 minutes to get seated. Only to get seated in a very hot and humid area where it's borderline miserable in the summertime. Yikes not very comfortable. The service was great other than that. We paid almost $500 for 3 people but we did order quite a bit of food and drinks. Other than that, the interior is quite nice and the outdoor patio would be perfect the next coming months.
google avatar

Briana N.

Yelp
My experience at Théa was great. We came for a girls night and everything was perfect. The atmosphere is beautiful inside and very trendy. There are windows around the entire restaurant that gives you a view of the city and desert landscape and mountains. The cocktails were delicious, I highly recommend "The Greek Prince." Our table got the Fried Calamari, Whipped Ricotta, and Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice. The Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice was our favorite. It had the perfect texture and great flavor. We also loved the Whipped Ricotta, it is a must try! Our server was very attentive and the rest of the employees were very helpful with keeping our waters filled, table cleared, and dishes brought to the table.

Yelp
It was our first time in tonight and Morgan S. went above and beyond to make it such a memorable experience. The rooftop patio was stunning and we couldn't ask for better views and ambiance. Morgan was extremely well versed with the menu, made excellent recommendations and was professional and attentive the whole time. We really enjoyed chatting with her and she made us feel so important as we celebrated our special occasion. Thank you for such a lovely night, and big thanks to Morgan for making it one that we will not forget :)

Yelp
Have been wanting to try one of the restaurants in the Global Ambassador- this evening I got my first chance to dine at Théa! It's a beautiful restaurant on the roof of the hotel- with lovely mountain/city views! The vibe is very classy yet casual- attire from casual jeans to sequined dresses- it's vacation time and the tourists are loving the weather here!! Our server was Eric and he was an absolute pleasure to have guiding us through the menu and recommending courses to try!! Fantastic hospitality and the food was the perfect example of excellence- quality ingredients, fresh and beautifully presented!! We had delicious cocktails as well that complimented our choices! I can't wait to return and I will definitely bring my husband for a romantic date night experience!! Bravo!! What a great way to celebrate my 460th Review on Yelp!!! 5 Stars!!

Yelp
Came to Thea hearing all about it and wow...I was floored with the food, ambiance, energy, and quality food and SENSATIONAL service!!! Our bartender Alli was so fun and gave amazing recommendations from the ricotta dip to the lamb chops and her talent making cocktails is out of this world. The whole staff is great but she really made the evening for us and everyone around.
google avatar

Yelp
WOW! Excellent food! Amazing Mediterranean flavors. The drinks were phenomenal, and each dish was incredible. My lamb gyros were DELICIOUS!! Not to mention great service and beautiful views!
google avatar

Kortney C.

Yelp
Overall, great experience. The ambiance is stunning and the food met my expectations. However, the service was subpar, as our waiter did not return to the table once it got busy. He walked by numerous times without closing us out. We had to get a manager and another server to assist. I can say our waiter was very detailed and offered great recommendations. Would recommend to visitors!

Yelp
It was the last day of my bachelorette trip and this was a great dinner to close out a great weekend with the girls! Our reservations were later in the evening, but I would 100% come back for the views during the day! We ordered the Goddess of All Dips and Zucchini Chips as appetizers. We're all still talking about how amazing the dips were! Portions of each dip were generous and the garlic pita paired so well. For my main dish, I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Skewers. I loved the flavor, the meat was tender, and the portion was just enough for one person. I wish we had we had a Théa close to home but looking forward to coming back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
We went on a rainy day, so unfortunately our outdoor table reservation got moved inside. But the staff did a wonderful job of seating us quickly and making it work with all of their reservations! But the food... I can't say enough good things! My friend from Florida came to visit, and she still brings up this dinner. The manti dumplings were my favorite. I've had homemade ones, and these were fantastic. Very traditional with so much flavor. It was the first time my friend had tried them and she couldn't believe how she's never had them before. Not a single bad bite of food, and the drinks were just as great. Service was superb and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fancy, delicious dinner.

Yelp
Came to Théa with a friend for the first time the other day and had an awesome experience. When we first got there, we lucked out and got seats at the bar. Usually you need a reservation because they're always crowded and for good reason. The service and staff were great and food was even better! We got their dumplings, meatballs, sushi, and skewers and they were all delicious! Everything was packed full of flavor and seasoned very well. All the food was light but also filling at the same time. The ambiance was really nice as it's located on top of the Grand Ambassador hotel. Perfect for a date spot or just grabbing food with friends/family. Overall had a great experience and would definitely recommend!

Yelp
After dinner at Le Ame, we decided to check out the rooftop bar. Since we just had dinner, we didn't get to try the food up here. All seats at the bar inside were taken so we walked to the bar outside. There were a good amount of people out there as well but we found a spot in line and it didn't take long before we were up next to order. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the American Spirit ($20) and I believe my friend ordered a Paloma (think $20?). We were surprised that they add an automatic 20% gratuity on 2 drinks at the bar!! Our drinks came out to $60! There was no breakdown on this receipt. We were just told gratuity was already added. My drink was meh. It had a weird aftertaste to it. We found a spot along the wall, checked out the view, then tried to see if there was a spot inside because it was cold. Need more heaters! The place looks nice, the view was alright. We eventually found a spot inside. Guests here were also all super nice and friendly as well! One older man gave up his seat for us. I felt bad. I asked the bartender if she could make me something with dark liquor and grapefruit. I think she used bourbon. This drink tasted much better but our drinks were still $60 due to the auto gratuity. This was really our only issue with the place. I'll still try the food if I come back again but can't say I would come here just to drink

Yelp
Such an awesome spot! The food is Mediterranean flare which is awesome and kind of healthy as well. I was initially skeptical about the menu being all over the place but what we did have was delicious. We tried the octopus, loaded Greek fries, Greek salad and the meat platter. The cooking and flavor was on point. Matching the food was also great service! We were separating our anniversary and our waitress provided us with a small champagne pour to celebrate. That's always a win in my book! Truly a picturesque spot with a view of camelback mountain on top of the global ambassador hotel. A pretty fancy upclass feel which fits the biltmore area. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
My brother, my husband and myself decided to stop by here after we played golf. You generally need a reservation because it gets so crowded however we were able to sit at a high top at the bar. The views here are stunning and the food was outstanding. We all enjoyed everything that we had. I had the chicken skewers. My husband had the calamari and my brother and Kevin both shared a Greek salad. The chicken was absolutely fabulous because it melted in your mouth! It was also seasoned perfectly. I love this place and I try to come here as often as I can. Also, we had the absolute best waitress ever! I cannot remember her name, but she was outstanding. Give that girl a raise! I love love love this place! Oh yeah, and the drinks are off the chain!

Yelp
The brood was back in town for my wife's birthday and father's day weekend. We elected to go and celebrate at Thea. Our grown boys have not been to Thea and requested we go. Reservations were made, nice clothes were worn and off we went for fine dining with a fashion side-show that Thea is known for. The staff is very attentive. We ordered the goddess of all dips, six different mezze, fresh grilled bread and raw veggies. This was delicious and the varied dips were very good. The mantis dumplings had spiced beef, Greek yogurt, crispy garlic and chili. The dumplings were moist, tasty and well flavored. The Moroccan roasted carrots with harrisa, aleppo honey, herbs, feta and pistachios were scrumptious. The sumac yams with rose petal harrisa, whipped labneh and sumac date glaze were equally impressive. These veggie dishes were the highlight of the night and I can't stop raving about them. The stood out in a great way. The kebobs with chicken, kofta and gyro skewers were decent but not even close to the veggie dishes. This place was the go-to-spot when they opened but "the bloom is off the lily". Perhaps, the newness has worn off or the kitchen staff has changed at Thea. Don't get me wrong they are still good, but the costs today don't seem to match the quality of food. If you are looking for good food, a great crowd to watch and killer Camelback views at sunset, give Thea a try.

Yelp
This place was beautiful. The views of camel back or worth it alone. This is definitely a place to people watch and mingle. It seemed like everyone in town was there, enjoying a drink and the beautiful weather outside. The food was amazing. Every item was flavorful and on point. The drinks were strong and delicious. And our wait staff was amazing! From the time we were greeted and seated, to the end of the meal, my friends and I really enjoyed a special dinner experience. If you love, beautiful food with a Mediterranean lean, consider Thea in Scottsdale.

Yelp
My first time dining at the rooftop restaurant,Thea, at The Global Ambassador Hotel. I went for a friend's birthday dinner and we requested to sit on the patio. It is a little chilly this time of year but we had the ceiling heaters and our server provided blankets which were perfect for our experience. Our server Connor and his team couldn't have made our evening more perfect. They were absolutely amazing and never left us waiting for drinks or food. We started with drinks. Two of us ordered the Hugo's and the other two ordered the Portofinos. In addition to being delightfully tasty, they were quite beautiful cocktails. I wish I would have snapped a photo! Connor advised us that Thea's menu is designed for sharing so we took his advice and ordered the zucchini chips and the whipped ricotta for Mezze. Both were very good. The zucchini chips were crispy in the outside and tender on the inside. The ricotta dip was very flavorful and delicious. Next we ordered the Urfa roasted Brussels sprouts which were amazingly delicious, along with the chicken souvlaki skewers and the beef truffle filet skewers. Both were cooked perfectly. For dessert, our birthday girl was surprised by Connor with the olive oil cake! I would highly recommend everything we ordered. It was absolutely delicious. If you have an opportunity to sit in the patio at sunset time, try to book it and take in the beautiful views of Camelback Mountain. However, it will be chilly during the winter season so dress warm. I would highly recommend Thea.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in the PHX metro area. The food is unbelievable. My wife and I went for an anniversary dinner and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Gorgeous 360 degree views of Camelback mountain and the Phoenix area. Service was impeccable. This is a must try! Parking is easy, there's a garage next to the hotel. They also have valet for $10 at the hotel itself.

Yelp
Another 10/10 experience. We hadn't been back since our anniversary in May...Ive drawn the conclusion we can't stay separated that long anymore lol. I cannot remember our servers name; however we sat in the private party room for my mom's birthday arranged by the lovely hostess Clara! Everything and everybody 10/10. Thank you for getting service, food, and ambiance right! It's underrated nowadays! Thanks for making my mother's birthday experience memorable with your kindness and keen attention to quality service!

Yelp
Spent my birthday dining at Thea at the Global Ambassador Hotel. As a long time Sam Fox Restaurant Concepts enthusiast, I've been eager to try out this Mediterranean restaurant with unobstructed views of Camelback Mountain. A few days prior to the reservation, Thea's confirmation process included the message "We kindly request that your attire befits the modern elegance and style of the experience at The Global Ambassador. Entrance to the Lobby bar, before or after your reservation, is subject to availability". There wasn't more information regarding dress code so we took that to mean dressy casual and found that people were both underdressed (hat, leggings) and overdressed (suit jacket, cocktail dress) compared to us. Thea's menu is geared toward small plates and shareable items. With that in mind we ordered the spicy feta dip, Moroccan carrots, lamb pita, and Greek fries. Nothing really stood out as exceptional. I would avoid ordering the fries again as it really was just a big bowl of fries with feta and sauce drizzled on top. The fries didn't come with serving utensils and were a bit messy. Dishes don't come out all at once but everything arrived in quick succession. There's a robust (and expensive) cocktail menu which we didn't select from but if you're looking for a suave drinks spot this might be the place for you. The real standout is the swanky hotel and beautiful views of Camelback Mountain. It's hard to find a better dining atmosphere in the area and choosing a patio seat at sunset is a must-do. We found the food to be good, but not great. Definitely a departure from other Sam Fox restaurants I've enjoyed across the valley. Our server was amenable but clearly spread thin, the surrounding tables all waited just a little too long for the bill- our table included. The food was a 3 but the atmosphere was a 5, leaving us with a solid 4-star review.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place where you're guaranteed to have amazing views, service and food well then look no further because Théa will deliver on all accounts. The food was full of flavor and so good it had everyone at the table practically stuffing their faces. You could tell the chefs are passionate about cooking based on the quality of the food. The sunset from the roof was absolutely stunning and set the perfect mood to go along with this great dinner. And to top it all off we had the most lovely attentive server who made the night even better. (Bonus points because she happened to look like my friends favorite singer Hayley Williams) Overall a great experience and I hope to be returning soon!

Yelp
After an unfortunate experience during our first visit to Thea, we returned to give it another chance, and I am SO GLAD that we did. First off, I want to commend the staff for being so wonderfully attentive to our party. Our server, Emma, did a phenomenal job throughout the meal and gave fantastic recommendations. I will forever be switching out the pita bread for bazlama bread to accompany all of the dips. To start, the team offered us champagne and sangria-soaked watermelon--a thoughtful gesture as we were celebrating passing our boards and completing our doctorates. Our reservation was for 6 pm and we headed up a few minutes before. Although the restaurant was busy, as expected on a Saturday night, we were seated promptly at our table at 6. We then ordered the Muhammara, baba ghanoush, and the meatballs to start. Emma was so sweet and provided additional bread so we could finish up the dips. Our entrees were all phenomenal, no notes. I was informed that the chef recommended the grilled skirt steak be cooked to a medium, but I could not bring myself to do that and ordered it medium rare. It was cooked to perfection and so delicious with the pesto. I only ended up with leftovers as I filled up way too early with the shared appetizers. Those leftovers came in handy as snacks later on in the night as we spent the rest of our evening at the lobby bar (which is always a great time). The parisian spritz is always our go to and my steak paired perfectly with a glass of the super tuscan red. The boys had also shared a bottle of a pinot grigio and had a splendid time. Thank you to Emma, Pari, and the team at Thea for making this such a memorable dinner and helping us celebrate at such a beautiful restaurant. We can't wait to return.
