12 Top-Notch Rooftop Bars in Phoenix

"Set atop serial restaurateur Sam Fox’s new and buzzy Global Ambassador Hotel, dimly lit, glass-enclosed Thea has indoor and outdoor seating. Either way, you catch an incredible close-up of Camelback Mountain and, as the sun goes down, gorgeous views of twinkling city lights. Given the setting, the approachable menu is surprisingly affordable, offering various mezze (Greek street fries and manti dumplings, for example), meat or veggie skewers, flatbreads, and entrees such as cast-iron brick chicken with fregola and zhoug, or Greek-style grilled lamb chops with olive oil, oregano, and lemon. Check out Thea’s huge selection of rosé wines, one of the largest in the U.S." - Nikki Buchanan

We came for brunch and it was delicious. We splurged on the dip appetizer and we highly recommend!! I had a cheeseburger and it melted in your mouth. The service was okay, we felt forgotten a lot. But overall I would highly recommend this place. Get a patio table but only if it’s a cool day. It was hot and there was no shade. Multiple parties moved inside.

Google
LOVE this new spot. The food is delicious and our waitress was amazing. She gave us the best recommendations and knew exactly what would suit our party of two. The view is beautiful and great place for photos. Many customers were dressed in spring outfits which set such a vibe for Spring. We will be back soon.

Our sunset dinner was a 10/10!! We had the flaming saganaki, Greek salad, and truffle filet. All of these dishes were so amazing. What was even better was our service. Michael brought all the vibes to our dinner and was nice, also giving us the best recommendations.

Google
Definitely a must check out spot if you are visiting Scottsdale. The lobby bar is dark and moody with light music. Not sure if you can smoke a cigar but that’s the vibe I’m getting. The rooftop bar is AWESOME. The desert hills and a clear nights sky is AMAZING. You won’t regret it.

Google
Incredible view during the Golden Hour! I was fortunate to find an outdoor patio reservation same day during sunset. The service was fast and friendly and cocktails and dinner menu a unique blend of flavors. I’ll definitely return when I’m in town again.

We went for my wife’s birthday; the atmosphere and service were top notch with great views of Camelback. Our drinks were tasty and the food was excellent. Highlights for me were the tuna crudo, the Moroccan carrots, and the truffle filet skewers (nice touch of truffle without being overpowering). Nice spot for a special occasion.

A Truly Memorable Dining Experience at Thea Dining at Thea inside the Global Ambassador in Phoenix was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant is designed around a family-style dining concept, which creates a warm, communal atmosphere that perfectly complements the stunning Mediterranean-inspired ambiance. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Sharing plates allowed us to explore a wide range of offerings, each one more delicious than the last. You can tell that every detail, from the ingredients to the plating, was carefully thought out. What truly set the evening apart, though, was the exceptional service we received from Gilmore. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely at home. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her welcoming presence added a personal touch that made our night even more special. The Global Ambassador is a masterclass in design and hospitality, and Théa is its crowning jewel. We look forward to returning and reliving the magic all over again.

My friend and I were visiting Az for a celebration. This restaurant was amazing. The food was great! Lauren- our service provider was amazing too, very kind and professional. We had the Ribeye and Lamb chops- I recommend! Whipped ricotta was the starter. Drinks were amazing, and the view was great! Complimentary cheese cake for our celebration 🎉 will definitely be back!

Yelp
Came here for dinner during a girls weekend and did not disappoint. Incredible view of camelback mountain Our server was so kind, helpful, and fun to chat with Ordered the fries, whipped ricotta (the pita is comes with ), falafel, chicken skewers and sushi. Would order it all again except maybe not the fries. Highlight of the night was their take on an old fashioned. Delicious.

Yelp
Everything, and I mean everything was fantastic - the view, ambience, staff, drinks and of course, each bite of food we consumed. With no reservation on a very busy Wednesday, we were seated within 5-10 minutes. While we waited we took in the breathtaking views of the mountains from the rooftop patio that apparently wraps around the restaurant. This must be the place to be seen, since there were many beautifully dressed diners, as well as casually dressed ones, too. As soon as we were seated, our waiter greeted us and took our drink orders - sangria frose. So refreshing on a sweltering 100 degree Phoenix evening. I asked for recommendations, and I seemed like he pointed out every item on the menu. We ordered several- spicy tuna with crispy rice, manti dumplings, tabbouleh, baba ganoush with pita points, lamb pita, olive oil lemon cake. He didn't steer us wrong -- every single bite was delicious! In and out in 90 minutes. Food came out quickly and hot/freshly prepared. I wish I could take the tabbouleh on the plane, it was so good!

Yelp
Wow. The vibes were immaculate and classic from the servers to the decor and views. Came by on a Sunday afternoon and sat indoors since it was hot out, but the Camelback Mountain views and skylines were still visible from the windows and everywhere you looked. Connor was on top of it and sweet as our party slowly arrived. They were unfortunately out of the dumplings, but we did enjoy sharing the following: - Whipped Ricotta - dip was light and airy, though the pita bread felt a tad basic - Tuna Crudo - pretty good, definitely could taste the truffle ponzu and my friend said it hid the taste of the raw fish (which she preferred) - Spanakopita - first time having this and it was good! The flakiness of the pastry was done perfectly - Turkish Meatballs - I'm not a huge meatball fan, but appreciated the small spicy kick to it - Moroccan Roasted Carrots - delicious for veggies, though I would've liked more pistachios - Truffle Filet Skewer - my friends ordered this and I only had a bite, but wow. The outside was nicely grilled, but was unbelievably tender and melted in your mouth. This was by far the best thing of the night and I'd go back just for this We were also celebrating a few birthdays and the server was kind to surprise us with desserts and a candle! Unsure what it was, but it tasted like a vanilla bean filling with a lemon cake inside, topped with berries and a chocolate plaque with Happy Birthday. As for drinks, I'm a sucker for anything strawberry guava so asked to have it as a mocktail and it wasn't too bad! A bit sweet and tart, but refreshing for the hot weather. Will definitely be back when the weather's cooler, as their rooftop is massive with the views all around and for that filet skewer alone. There's also a parking garage across from valet parking Thea will validate at their hostess table.

Yelp
Came here for my husband and I's birthday celebration. The food was amazing. So flavorful, great quality and the drinks were refreshing! The reason for the 4 stars was the fact that we had a reservation and still ended up waiting another 30 minutes to get seated. Only to get seated in a very hot and humid area where it's borderline miserable in the summertime. Yikes not very comfortable. The service was great other than that. We paid almost $500 for 3 people but we did order quite a bit of food and drinks. Other than that, the interior is quite nice and the outdoor patio would be perfect the next coming months.

Yelp
From the reservation to the dessert this place is always hands down incredible!! Best private table for my daughter's 21st, we had amazing service and delicious food and drinks! Always coming back for more and especially with a sunset view of the mountains. We started with the Greek street fries, fried calamari and muhammara dip... best dip!! Ended up ordering grilled skirt steak, margherita flatbread and the Greek salad. I honestly don't have a favorite bc I haven't had a bad item on this menu. Just do family style like we did and order everything to share. The drinks were delicious as well, frozé sangria and the skinny marg were great but the Whiskey sours are spectacular!

Yelp
* Thea is located on top of the Global Ambassador Hotel. The parking is not in this hotel unless you want valet then just bring your Bentley to the front. Lols When you turn into the hotel you will see another building of fancy apartments across from the Global. Go to the side of that building and you will see an opening for the parking garage. Keep your ticket and Thea will validate it for free parking. * Make sure you wear something nice. Doesn't have to be fancy but no ripped t shirts and joggers up in here. Lols * Ressies is a must. There is a $25 fee to hold it so if you're a no show you pay that I thought it would be snooty walking into this hotel but not the case, I was greeted warmly by a gentleman inside who pointed to the elevators. The elevators are located on the right side when you walk in. Take it all the way to the top for Thea. There is inside and outside seating. I told the hostess my friends were already seated outside so I took a quick walk around to find them. One side has a great view of the Camelback mountains while the other side is nothing exciting. We sat in the middle on the couches and planned to take pics of the views later anyways. There is a brunch menu but you can also order off their regular menu. Food is kinda pricey but we just ordered a bunch of appies to share and it was pretty reasonable between the four of us. Everything was delish - baba ghanoush, manti dumplings, roasted broccolini, calamari, Brussels sprouts, feta or Brie (I forgot which one) and honey, and the truffle flatbread. My friend didn't care for the latter saying it was too much truffle but I love truffle so give it all to me. Lols My friends got cocktails and said they were good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. My only gripe is at the end when I asked the hostess who was was walking towards me if she could take a quick picture of my friends and I. We were already standing there and ready. She didn't even stop, kept walking and said no I'm busy I can't right now. I used to work at a restaurant so I get it. But if it was me I would have at least stopped and acknowledged the customer. Even though it only takes seconds to take a quick pic. No biggie, I took a selfie of us, we walked out and I saw the same hostess just standing up front chatting away with another hostess or staff that I overheard wasn't work related. Oh lawd....

Yelp

Yelp
My experience at Théa was great. We came for a girls night and everything was perfect. The atmosphere is beautiful inside and very trendy. There are windows around the entire restaurant that gives you a view of the city and desert landscape and mountains. The cocktails were delicious, I highly recommend "The Greek Prince." Our table got the Fried Calamari, Whipped Ricotta, and Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice. The Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice was our favorite. It had the perfect texture and great flavor. We also loved the Whipped Ricotta, it is a must try! Our server was very attentive and the rest of the employees were very helpful with keeping our waters filled, table cleared, and dishes brought to the table.

Yelp
I absolutely love coming to the global ambassador for drinks with the girls, after dinner or happy hour across the street, or right before heading to little woody's down the road. When Thea was suggested for a birthday dinner, I was so excited as I have only had good experiences in the past at the roof top bar which is right there next to Thea. With this anticipation, the actual experience was very underwhelming and a bit frustrating. It started off on a sour note when it took about 30 minutes for our table to be ready, even when we had a reservation made almost a month in advance. We looked around the beautiful roof top at the view, but 30 minutes is a lot of time to kill waiting around. Our reservation was a 6:00 pm, and our drinks arrived at our table at 6:47 pm. In general, everything moved very slowly and it took quite a bit for each of our appetizers and dishes to come out. Our server was very sweet but very busy so it was difficult to call her over during our meal and to get the check. The food was okay, but after a weekend of celebratory meals around scottsdale, this restaurant unfortunately ranked last for me.

Yelp
Such an awesome spot! The food is Mediterranean flare which is awesome and kind of healthy as well. I was initially skeptical about the menu being all over the place but what we did have was delicious. We tried the octopus, loaded Greek fries, Greek salad and the meat platter. The cooking and flavor was on point. Matching the food was also great service! We were separating our anniversary and our waitress provided us with a small champagne pour to celebrate. That's always a win in my book! Truly a picturesque spot with a view of camelback mountain on top of the global ambassador hotel. A pretty fancy upclass feel which fits the biltmore area. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Have been wanting to try one of the restaurants in the Global Ambassador- this evening I got my first chance to dine at Théa! It's a beautiful restaurant on the roof of the hotel- with lovely mountain/city views! The vibe is very classy yet casual- attire from casual jeans to sequined dresses- it's vacation time and the tourists are loving the weather here!! Our server was Eric and he was an absolute pleasure to have guiding us through the menu and recommending courses to try!! Fantastic hospitality and the food was the perfect example of excellence- quality ingredients, fresh and beautifully presented!! We had delicious cocktails as well that complimented our choices! I can't wait to return and I will definitely bring my husband for a romantic date night experience!! Bravo!! What a great way to celebrate my 460th Review on Yelp!!! 5 Stars!!

Yelp
My brother, my husband and myself decided to stop by here after we played golf. You generally need a reservation because it gets so crowded however we were able to sit at a high top at the bar. The views here are stunning and the food was outstanding. We all enjoyed everything that we had. I had the chicken skewers. My husband had the calamari and my brother and Kevin both shared a Greek salad. The chicken was absolutely fabulous because it melted in your mouth! It was also seasoned perfectly. I love this place and I try to come here as often as I can. Also, we had the absolute best waitress ever! I cannot remember her name, but she was outstanding. Give that girl a raise! I love love love this place! Oh yeah, and the drinks are off the chain!

Yelp
This place was beautiful. The views of camel back or worth it alone. This is definitely a place to people watch and mingle. It seemed like everyone in town was there, enjoying a drink and the beautiful weather outside. The food was amazing. Every item was flavorful and on point. The drinks were strong and delicious. And our wait staff was amazing! From the time we were greeted and seated, to the end of the meal, my friends and I really enjoyed a special dinner experience. If you love, beautiful food with a Mediterranean lean, consider Thea in Scottsdale.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall, great experience. The ambiance is stunning and the food met my expectations. However, the service was subpar, as our waiter did not return to the table once it got busy. He walked by numerous times without closing us out. We had to get a manager and another server to assist. I can say our waiter was very detailed and offered great recommendations. Would recommend to visitors!
google avatar

Yelp
We went on a rainy day, so unfortunately our outdoor table reservation got moved inside. But the staff did a wonderful job of seating us quickly and making it work with all of their reservations! But the food... I can't say enough good things! My friend from Florida came to visit, and she still brings up this dinner. The manti dumplings were my favorite. I've had homemade ones, and these were fantastic. Very traditional with so much flavor. It was the first time my friend had tried them and she couldn't believe how she's never had them before. Not a single bad bite of food, and the drinks were just as great. Service was superb and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fancy, delicious dinner.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! The charred octopus was so yummy and the shrimp Scorpio was delicious, the flavors were impeccable :) our server was great (and hot w/ cool tattoos lol). I got an espresso martini, I don't like cinnamon but it wasn't bad. My friend got the charred corn and tomato flatbread, she loved it! The vibes were cool with dimmer lighting, the views outside were great!

Yelp
Amazing food, and great service/ambience. The sushi was insane and the kebabs were outta this world. Didnt care for the olive oil dessert, i forget the name.

Yelp
Came to Théa with a friend for the first time the other day and had an awesome experience. When we first got there, we lucked out and got seats at the bar. Usually you need a reservation because they're always crowded and for good reason. The service and staff were great and food was even better! We got their dumplings, meatballs, sushi, and skewers and they were all delicious! Everything was packed full of flavor and seasoned very well. All the food was light but also filling at the same time. The ambiance was really nice as it's located on top of the Grand Ambassador hotel. Perfect for a date spot or just grabbing food with friends/family. Overall had a great experience and would definitely recommend!

Yelp
It was the last day of my bachelorette trip and this was a great dinner to close out a great weekend with the girls! Our reservations were later in the evening, but I would 100% come back for the views during the day! We ordered the Goddess of All Dips and Zucchini Chips as appetizers. We're all still talking about how amazing the dips were! Portions of each dip were generous and the garlic pita paired so well. For my main dish, I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Skewers. I loved the flavor, the meat was tender, and the portion was just enough for one person. I wish we had we had a Théa close to home but looking forward to coming back when I'm in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Obsessed with the rooftop vibes here, great to go around sunset for awesome views of Camelback Mountain and the city skyline. Loved the Greek Prince cocktail and the chicken skewer + potatoes + broccoli were delicious. Perfect spot for cute pics and a chill night out!
google avatar

Danica P.

Yelp
Obsessed! Server Dillon was amazing! Made us very comfortable. We love the whipped ricotta and the filet mignon skewer, also the chicken skewer! Usually stuffed after that. Drink go to is the prince!

Yelp
I love! From the beginning of the experience to the end. The parking was a breeze! Love that they accodmenate for parking. The appetizers are fire! Try that whipped ricotta!!! I had the shrimp Scorpio! Mouth still watering. So good!!!!! Drinks was a bit pricey but it's Scottsdale! The servers was so nice and kind! We needed an extra seat and they made sure we had that set up! I went on my birthday during and it was really windy but perfect at the same time! ( patio seating) Once it got a little bit chillly, we asked if they can turn the heaters on which they did accommodate. They also offered blankets. I love this place. Can I move in? The view is gorgeous makes you feel like you left the country and fr it does :) Will be back!

Marie Ragy R.

Yelp
Went here for brunch with a big group. This is a popular place and I see why. The food is delicious, well presented, not expensive, and the drinks can be strong. We ordered a lot of the appetizers and flatbreads. So delicious. It was my last meal in Arizona before my flight and it left a lasting impression. We ordered the whipped ricotta, fried calamari, tuna crispy rice, Margherita flatbread, dumplings, Parma flatbread, octopus, Greek fries, and zucchini chips. They were all delicious. The whipped Ricotta is a must! Order it, you will not be disappointed. Service was good. Waitress was very attentive. Other servers even helped when we were having issues with the umbrella. I ordered the Hugo for a drink. It had the right amount of alcohol. Very tasty. Go here for brunch, a nice date, or girls night.
google avatar

Meredith B.

Yelp
A classy rooftop bar with an amazing view. The patio wraps around with a bar both at the end outdoors and indoors at the entrance. Seating is in and out and a very open transition between the two. The Mediterranean pita bread and dip plate was over the top and the most delicious one I've probably ever tasted. It easily feeds 4-8 people as an appetizer. The skinny margarita was fabulous. We had such an enjoyable girls afternoon out here and we will be back!
google avatar

Lien S.

Yelp
After dinner at Le Ame, we decided to check out the rooftop bar. Since we just had dinner, we didn't get to try the food up here. All seats at the bar inside were taken so we walked to the bar outside. There were a good amount of people out there as well but we found a spot in line and it didn't take long before we were up next to order. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the American Spirit ($20) and I believe my friend ordered a Paloma (think $20?). We were surprised that they add an automatic 20% gratuity on 2 drinks at the bar!! Our drinks came out to $60! There was no breakdown on this receipt. We were just told gratuity was already added. My drink was meh. It had a weird aftertaste to it. We found a spot along the wall, checked out the view, then tried to see if there was a spot inside because it was cold. Need more heaters! The place looks nice, the view was alright. We eventually found a spot inside. Guests here were also all super nice and friendly as well! One older man gave up his seat for us. I felt bad. I asked the bartender if she could make me something with dark liquor and grapefruit. I think she used bourbon. This drink tasted much better but our drinks were still $60 due to the auto gratuity. This was really our only issue with the place. I'll still try the food if I come back again but can't say I would come here just to drink

Yelp
Théa has become one of my absolute favorites! Perched atop The Global Ambassador Hotel, Théa offers a modern Mediterranean dining experience with 360 degree views of Camelback Mountain and the City below. The ambiance is upscale and vibrant, with a very stylish crowd. The service is great, I've only had an issue one time with service. It was with a snotty bartender - who later regretted it after we ordered a $200 bottle of wine with another server. I love to start with the Whipped Ricotta or Flaming Saganaki, then a salad and perhaps the Open Face Lamb Pita or Greek Style Lamb Chops as the main. I highly recommend ordering family style. And you can't go wrong by being there for the amazing for sunset views.
google avatar

Rosenna T.

Yelp
We loved every dish we had at Thea--everything was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Our server, Sarah, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. She was attentive, warm, and offered excellent recommendations that made our meal even more enjoyable. We can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Gisselle G.

Yelp
I came here for the first time for a friend's birthday and I had quite the experience! My friends and I had a blast and the staff truly went all out to provide top notch service. For example, it was a bit chilly the day we went, and we were brought blankets to cover up - which was so thoughtful! Aside from that, the food was also really good. I enjoyed the hummus dip with pita, the mushroom tempura roll, the broccolini, and the Greek prince cocktail. The cocktail was so good, I had to get another! I would definitely come back for another special occasion or to grab a couple drinks.
google avatar

Holly M.

Yelp
My first time dining at the rooftop restaurant,Thea, at The Global Ambassador Hotel. I went for a friend's birthday dinner and we requested to sit on the patio. It is a little chilly this time of year but we had the ceiling heaters and our server provided blankets which were perfect for our experience. Our server Connor and his team couldn't have made our evening more perfect. They were absolutely amazing and never left us waiting for drinks or food. We started with drinks. Two of us ordered the Hugo's and the other two ordered the Portofinos. In addition to being delightfully tasty, they were quite beautiful cocktails. I wish I would have snapped a photo! Connor advised us that Thea's menu is designed for sharing so we took his advice and ordered the zucchini chips and the whipped ricotta for Mezze. Both were very good. The zucchini chips were crispy in the outside and tender on the inside. The ricotta dip was very flavorful and delicious. Next we ordered the Urfa roasted Brussels sprouts which were amazingly delicious, along with the chicken souvlaki skewers and the beef truffle filet skewers. Both were cooked perfectly. For dessert, our birthday girl was surprised by Connor with the olive oil cake! I would highly recommend everything we ordered. It was absolutely delicious. If you have an opportunity to sit in the patio at sunset time, try to book it and take in the beautiful views of Camelback Mountain. However, it will be chilly during the winter season so dress warm. I would highly recommend Thea.

Yelp
The brood was back in town for my wife's birthday and father's day weekend. We elected to go and celebrate at Thea. Our grown boys have not been to Thea and requested we go. Reservations were made, nice clothes were worn and off we went for fine dining with a fashion side-show that Thea is known for. The staff is very attentive. We ordered the goddess of all dips, six different mezze, fresh grilled bread and raw veggies. This was delicious and the varied dips were very good. The mantis dumplings had spiced beef, Greek yogurt, crispy garlic and chili. The dumplings were moist, tasty and well flavored. The Moroccan roasted carrots with harrisa, aleppo honey, herbs, feta and pistachios were scrumptious. The sumac yams with rose petal harrisa, whipped labneh and sumac date glaze were equally impressive. These veggie dishes were the highlight of the night and I can't stop raving about them. The stood out in a great way. The kebobs with chicken, kofta and gyro skewers were decent but not even close to the veggie dishes. This place was the go-to-spot when they opened but "the bloom is off the lily". Perhaps, the newness has worn off or the kitchen staff has changed at Thea. Don't get me wrong they are still good, but the costs today don't seem to match the quality of food. If you are looking for good food, a great crowd to watch and killer Camelback views at sunset, give Thea a try.

Yelp
Went to the global ambassador to celebrate my birthday dinner at "Thea" the Mediterranean rooftop restaurant. I had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing with a great ambience and Great drinks. Our server, Sarah was top-notch, very knowledgeable, fun, funny, observant, and accommodating. Most definitely a five star experience.

Yelp
Spent my birthday dining at Thea at the Global Ambassador Hotel. As a long time Sam Fox Restaurant Concepts enthusiast, I've been eager to try out this Mediterranean restaurant with unobstructed views of Camelback Mountain. A few days prior to the reservation, Thea's confirmation process included the message "We kindly request that your attire befits the modern elegance and style of the experience at The Global Ambassador. Entrance to the Lobby bar, before or after your reservation, is subject to availability". There wasn't more information regarding dress code so we took that to mean dressy casual and found that people were both underdressed (hat, leggings) and overdressed (suit jacket, cocktail dress) compared to us. Thea's menu is geared toward small plates and shareable items. With that in mind we ordered the spicy feta dip, Moroccan carrots, lamb pita, and Greek fries. Nothing really stood out as exceptional. I would avoid ordering the fries again as it really was just a big bowl of fries with feta and sauce drizzled on top. The fries didn't come with serving utensils and were a bit messy. Dishes don't come out all at once but everything arrived in quick succession. There's a robust (and expensive) cocktail menu which we didn't select from but if you're looking for a suave drinks spot this might be the place for you. The real standout is the swanky hotel and beautiful views of Camelback Mountain. It's hard to find a better dining atmosphere in the area and choosing a patio seat at sunset is a must-do. We found the food to be good, but not great. Definitely a departure from other Sam Fox restaurants I've enjoyed across the valley. Our server was amenable but clearly spread thin, the surrounding tables all waited just a little too long for the bill- our table included. The food was a 3 but the atmosphere was a 5, leaving us with a solid 4-star review.

Yelp
Came here for after dinner drinks and dessert, stunning views, great ambience, good people watching and service was on point. Emily was very sweet. We'll be back!

Yelp
Party of 6 & we did family style. Everything was wonderful from the dips to zucchini chips to truffle butter filet skewers to lamb chops to branzino to skirt steaks. Can't forget the fries !! Lemon cake is a plus !! Cannot wait to go back.

Yelp
My friend and I were having coffee just downstairs in the coffee shop/lobby but started feeling hungry so came by thea for an early Wednesday dinner. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a nice, expansive patio -- perfect before summer comes in full swing. We decided to sit at the bar and order a few small plates to share. Our bartender/waiter was super nice and attentive, giving us all his recommendations, which we basically ordered most of. We got the spicy crispy tuna rice, the charred octopus, dumplings, and whipped ricotta. I thought the spicy crispy tuna rice was pretty good, fresh, but portion was a little bit on the smaller side. Although I enjoyed the dumplings, which were fried in a somewhat asian-like dumpling wrapper, I probably wouldn't get them again just because beef in a dumpling is a little off putting to me personally, but objectively they still tasted good. I quite liked the charred octopus - that and the crispy tuna rice were probably my favorite small plates. The octopus was smokey, not too chewy, and seasoned well, albeit a little salty so would have been perfect had it come with a rice, bread, etc. to balance out the saltiness. My friend and I realized we were still a little hungry after these 3 plates, so we got the whipped ricotta. I usually don't love cheese but wanted to try this and thought it was pretty good! It tasted a bit like butter if it were creamier with some sweetness from the honey and cherries. We both also really liked the pita it came with, which was a perfect addition since our meal didn't really have many carbs to begin with. Price came out to about ~$120 total incl tax/tip (and my friend's glass of wine), so definitely a little bit steep but I guess not abnormal for Scottsdale. Would be interested in coming back to sit out on the patio for a weekend brunch or evening drinks.

Yelp
I celebrated my 41st birthday here and the restaurant really went above and beyond making it a very special day for me! Not only was the food amazing but everyone from the host to the server to the food runner was super professional, super friendly, and super hospitable. The food was also truly amazing. The restaurant is located on top of the Grand Ambassador Hotel, so when you reach the restaurant you're spoiled with some amazing views of Camelback Mountain and the Phoenix and Tempe skylines in the distance. There was one part of the night where we ventured out onto the east patio and saw fireworks being shot off, which was a total treat. Foodwise, it was very hard to pick items off the menu as we wanted to try everything. For starters, We wound up ordering their hummus and the artichoke dip along with the tabbouleh salad. All of it and I mean all of it was amazing. The salad had an amazing flavor and I couldn't stop eating it. I loved the dried fruit, butternut squash, pomegranate seeds, and shaved brussels sprouts in it. It was definitely a modern twist on a traditional tabbouleh salad, which I appreciated. It was also light and refreshing and was the perfect starter. The artichoke dip was also something I couldn't stop eating. The crispy artichokes with the za'atar really made for something special and this is something I'd order again and again. The hummus was also good and had a unique flavor, which made it stand out among all of the hummus I have consumed in my lifetime. Definitely a must try. For the entree I went with the spaghetti alla nerano. The spaghetti was the perfect al dente and the crispy zucchini really gave this spaghetti dish a great flavor. The sauce wasn't too heavy and after finishing all the food we ordered, I didn't feel heavy as everything is light and bright. The server surprised me with a birthday dessert, which was some sort of meringue. I didn't see it on their menu so I wonder if it's sort of a secret item or something. It was really good! The only thing I would recommend this restaurant potentially change is the host stand set up. When you come out of the elevators, the host stand it kind of close to them so everyone gathers and bunches up right by the elevators and it leads to people having to dodge one another. Hopefully they can change this around a little to be more efficient. I would definitely still come here again.

Yelp
I've been here twice already and have loved everything I've ordered! Typically I come with a group of friends and we all order a bunch of different things to share. Drinks are always strong and delicious. The rooftop vibes are amazing and great for photos and the servers are always so nice! The parking garage is also validated at any of the restaurants. Overall I love this place or and of the GA restaurants if you're looking for a nice dinner, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Yelp
Amazing! We love the ambiance and energy at Thea - everything. The indoor outdoor bar area offers stunning sunset views

Yelp
One of the most beautiful views in the valley! Super fun, chic vibes inside and the hotel lobby at the bottom was beautiful! Definitely a little more upscale, offers valet etc... food was incredible, mostly Mediterranean but some fusion items. Drinks were great, staff was nice but service was a smidge slow. Took a while to get drinks and then order food but food came out pretty normal speed after that. Good date night or girls night! Celebrated my friends bday and they did a nice custom bday dessert! Would definitely come back

Yelp
Wow, this place is such a vibe. We went on a Thursday night and it was PACKED. It's definitely a place to be seen. The restaurant is gorgeous and the views are incredible. Thea is situated on the top floor, giving you a beautiful view of Camelback. It's a great place to watch a sunset. The cocktails were very, very good. Our entire party loved what they ordered and the standout was the frozen sangria. Our server was lovely. She was very attentive despite how busy she was. We started with the Goddess of all Dips, a sampler of all the dips they offer, plus pita and crudite. We liked most of them but LOVED the Whipped Ricotta. Our entrees were hit or miss. Our group had the Open Face Lamb Pita (it was meh), some sushi rolls (didn't taste fresh), and the Kofta skewer (delicious). We didn't attempt desert. Parking was easy, there's a self-park lot in front of the hotel. The valet service was super convenient ($8). I recommend you make a reservation, especially if you're going on a weekend. Overall it was good! I'm sure we'll be back!

Yelp
I have had the chance to try both restaurants in the Global Ambassador and both were great and very different experiences! Thea is a rooftop restaurant with a beautiful view of Camelback mountain and open seating concept. If the weather is good, I suggest the outdoor seating for the best experience. There is also a rooftop bar if you're looking to have some drinks with friends and relax. The Kofta Skewer was a tender and juicy mix of meats and tasted amazing with the rice it was paired with. Our favorite dish was the crispy rice spicy tuna. They fry the rice perfectly to a crisp outside and soft rice inside and the tuna mix on top was great. I think my girlfriend and I would come back for this dish alone! The Octopus was very different compared to any other octopus dish I have had but I loved the tender bite and Mediterranean sauce that it came on top of. The flatbread and feta salad were both very fresh and filled with taste as well! I can't wait to come back and try more from here.

Yelp
Absolutely magical. We made a reservation right before sunset and the views were STUNNING. From the moment we walked in, Clara welcomed us like we were old friends. She even moved us to a better table when she noticed we were celebrating our anniversary. The grilled octopus and lamb chops were next-level. We felt like we were on vacation in Greece.

Yelp
I have always wanted to try this restaurant and never had the chance to go until now. We checked into our reservation and were quickly seated to our table. The service was top notch , and he providing us with all of the recommended food items on the menu (no joke our server was so good, I wish I remembered his name). I got the aperol spritz, some dumpling appetizers and the truffle flatbread pizza. All very delicious and filling! also the views were absolutely gorgeous. Overall great time and great food! Will be back for a date night.

Yelp
This has got to be one of the best dining experiences ever. Everything is exceptional. The Grand Entrance. The Lobby Bar. The Golden Hour Views. This was my third time dining at théa. There are some things I could eat every day for a month and still want it tomorrow. Like the Bazlama bread, covered with herb garlic and served with yeminite tomato and green zhoug. I could eat this bread every day, several times a day. If only I lived close enough to the GA. My table also shared the Kopanisti, a spicy, whipped feta with Aleppo honey with its own plate of warm pita bread. And a plate of Urfa roasted brussels sprouts with dates will make you love brussels sprouts. Really. Then there were the dates. One bite of sweet and salty bliss. Our main meal centered around the Lamb Chops, Brick Chicken and the Kofta skewer with Spanakorizo. All were excellent in every way, from presentation to flavor and the perfect size to share at our table of 4. Before we got to dessert, my favorite dish was the Sumac yams. The way the skins are done, so think and crispy, I thought I was eating the best bacon I'd ever had. But then dessert came. Someone's Greek grandmother must be in the kitchen making the Baklava and the greek yogurt that topped the Olive Oil Cake. The delicious food, the fantastic cocktails and beer, and the attentiveness of our server Marco and manager Pari, made our evening complete. And one we'll look forward to having again and again. It's the yams. I have to have more yams.

Yelp
I am so impressed with the restaurant options at the Global Ambassador Hotel, but the best is the rooftop bar. It is glassed in for airconditioned comfort, but surrounded by outside seating for cooler months. Smart! A full bar in the middle has lots of bar seating as well as tables inside (and out). The staff is welcoming and the menu looks great... I can't wait to go back and try one of everything.

Yelp
Reservations are a must. We still waited to be seated but I can't imagine not having a reservation. Reservations open 30 days before you want to book. So, if you wanted to eat here on 9/12, you couldn't reserve a table until 8/12. I will say it is 100% worth it. The views are spectacular. Had it not been in early June, we would have sat outside & honestly, I will be back so when it's cooler, I will definitely sit outside. Also, they do validate parking! Take advantage of that. Inside can get loud because the space isn't huge but it is bustling for sure. Wait staff is super nice, knowledgeable, & attentive. The food was AH-MAZING. We got the flaming sagankai because what is a Mediterranean dining experience without saganaki. I ordered the steak which was so tender & delicious. I could have eaten 2 steaks. The bacon wrapped dates were so good even my friend who doesn't like dates loved this dish. This is absolutely a repeat dish! One friend ordered the branzino which she never had before. Delicious & flavorful white fish. Another friend ordered the chicken skewer and really enjoyed it too. This was such a lovely restaurant. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back

Yelp
a well deserved 5 stars for a 5 star restaurant. Adrianna was my groups server tonight, as I was here for a birthday dinner, and she was excellent, one of the best servers! Told us about the history of the Resturant and other ones they own as well in Nashville! Drinks were delightful and the food was divine. I had reserved seating in the patio area after dark and it was beautiful! Amazing views of the mountains behind us, as well and comfortable seats and water misters to stay cool! Ordered an Amaretto Sour (off menu) and was delicious, as well as a Lemon Drop Martini. Our table split the Greek Fries, Manti Dumplings, Flaming Saganaki, and spicy tuna and crispy rice. The food was to die for, as came to table hot straight from kitchen. Easily the best Greek fries I've had in my life. A Amazing restaurant and should definitely be on the bucket list of anyone in Arizona.

Yelp
We live in the neighborhood and finally a place that lives up to the hype. The food the ambience and the view were incredible. The service was even better. Our server Alisha made our dinner an incredible experience. The best dinner and service I have had since I can remember. We will be back.
