Amazing place to visit and it's very huge and popular in Kaulalmpur. In entrance it has all the animals which is related to the year and what is the significance and which year. Temple is in the 2nd floor and it has 3 deities. The Thean Hou Temple is a six-tiered temple of the Chinese sea goddess Mazu located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The temple was built by Hainanese living in Malaysia It is one of the largest temples in Southeast Asia.its a worth visit. And you find peace over there. There is a tradition where you can check the prediction.

The temple is incredible!!! definitely worth a visit, especially on the weekend. It’s spotless, welcoming to tourists, and perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy shots. Getting there is easiest with Grab, but if you don’t mind a short walk, the train is also an option. I went on a Wednesday, and it was pretty quiet, which made the atmosphere feel extra calm and peaceful. When it comes to the dress code, modesty is important. Women should avoid revealing clothes, but a light scarf works great if you want to cover up quickly. Long skirts or dresses are ideal, while men are fine wearing shorts. One of the highlights was catching the sunset from the temple. I only got to see it for a brief moment, but it was absolutely magical. Other than that, the whole environment feels serene, peaceful, and just really chill—a perfect place to sit back, soak it all in, and enjoy the calm.

Very beautiful and interesting. Here you can pray and ask for fortune. Beautiful architecture and hung with many lanterns. I saw families taking wedding photos here too. Should go early it will be less crowded after 9:30 there will be many groups of people coming.

This is a Chinese temple known for its vibrant colors—perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. A must-visit if you're in Kuala Lumpur. Note: avoid bringing a baby stroller, as there are many steps. Entry is free. There's also a small Chinese restaurant in the basement. Parking is available. It can get quite crowded, so for the best photo opportunities, go early in the morning. Beautiful temple, bright and colourful with excellent views of KL. Definitely worth the walk up! Gift shop with affordable souvenirs below. It's a place of worship so you should dress modestly ideally covering your shoulders and knees.

Not bad, temple on top of hill with city view. Temple looks like its active with lots of local ongoing event. For tourist, they can go to Level2 for temple & view, or LevelG for mini souvenir shop. Level1 is for private event hall..plenty of parking, either pay rm5 near the entrance, or free parking at hill roadside but need to walk a bit

So beautiful temple! We came in the morning to see less people and have possibility to enjoy the atmosphere but still saw a lot of people. We were lucky to see many weddings! So many beautiful couples came there to be married and take beautiful pictures and videos with pro photographers. There is small pond near the entrance with rich fishes (people leave coins there) and figures of Chinese horoscope. To visit the temple you need to go upstairs. Inside your should leave your shoes near the entrance. I really like this place even as a traveller, beautifully decorated, with many details, don’t miss opportunity to walk inside and outside. There are many amazing zones for photographs Inside you can get an answer on your questions using special number boards. Check the video to see see what you should do :) There is a dress code inside (check one of the pictures)

A beautiful temple to visit, an inconvenience to access; either taxi or walk. Staff are cordial, place is clean and bright. Great views and areas tp meditate pr relax. Be careful of shoe thief 🤷‍♂️. Food court open irregularly. Lots to visit, free wifi, toilets are clean.

Yelp
Great temple to visit in Kuala Lumpur. It is listed a most visited temple in KL. This six tier temple build not long ago in late 19 century. It is not great for handicap. I like the structure architectural look. This is very modern temple. The layer of the temple makes it sophisticated. The entrance has a statue of the Quan Yin. The pillar has a lot of Chinese poem. Beautiful meaning. The roof was will make as to mimic the old style architecture. The garden includes statues of twelve zodiac, love god, rainbow stair and more. This includes the pond on the side. Parking can be park nearby or paid parking.

Yelp
Location. Location and Location about this temple. I am not a big fan of temple, but local tourist guide recommend to check it out. There are some history and culture behind the temple. I cannot say this is a must visit temple unless you are into the religion. There are many tourist during day time and recommend go there at the evening. It is definitely a tourist attraction spot. You will have to take the stair to go up few level, but nothing too crazy.

Yelp
Three story awe-striking Buddhist temple. Very intricate colorful and elaborate decorations on the facade. Unobstructed view of the city and famous landmarks. Basement level is a mini hawker center with souvenir stalls with the smells of candied chesnuts wafting throughout. Clean bathroom stalls are private and they stock toilet paper (a luxury in some tourist sites in Malaysia).

Yelp
I've seen many temples around South East Asia, but I have to say - Tehean Hou Temple is definitely one of the most impressive. Even if you have visited more than 20, still take time to visit this one! I might be biased, because I went there during Chinese New Years where the temple was beautifully decorated and quite crowded. Me and my friends even got a chance to see a special 1h show for free ! One thing to bare in mind is that during CNY cabs won't be able to take you the whole way up the hill, so just jump out in the middle and walk, it's really not far. :)

Yelp
Being a buddhist malaysian, I really take pride in my ethnicity and religion. To all the Hainanese Malaysian's, this temple is regarded as the pride of their community. This temple is strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, it is also one of the main tourist attractions that KL has to offer. It is a place of worship among the buddhist community and a popular venue for chinese couples to register for marriages(It is also an official venue approved by JPN). I know for a fact that I performed my "RoM" at this holy venue almost 2 years back, and it was truly an amazing experience. I highly recommend this place for those "soon-to-get-married" couples as it is one of the more presentable venues as compared to those "dull" venues like the usual JPN offices. Other than that, if you are currently feeling abit "lost" or "confuse" in life, you actually visit this temple and seek divine intervention(Lol! I sounded very superstitious) as with any normal buddhist temple which offers fortune telling services as well. Lastly, this is also a good place to relax from the hustle and bustle from the hectic city life, as it is located on top of a hill. So do drop by if you are near by.

Yelp
If you like to experience a little from the Chinese culture, this is one of the temples where you have to visit. The temple is near Bangsar area and you don't have to pay the entrance to go inside. The temple is amazing, it's quite big and very quite. If you want to meditate and enjoy some quality time with yourself you can go here. The place is full with peace and you will see many Chinese people praying and meditating. I loved the place because of the ambience and the atmosphere and I will definitely visit the temple again.

Yelp
I have only been to the Temple once and that was during Chinese New Year. It was one of the most beautiful evenings I ever had. The chance to see an actual celebration made me feel lucky to be there. They had actually this beautiful stage where there were different artists just going up whether to sing to dance, or perform some magic card tricks. I really like that I stayed there for a couple of hours, took some beautiful pictures with that beautiful red colour of the light bulbs that was laid out across the temple. I just loved it and thought it was remarkable just outrageously beautiful. Definitely recommend it to anyone to go there whether during New Year or beside Chinese New Year it's definitely worth the hassle to go there :D

Yelp
One of the greatest sites to see! Great views, no dress code (unlike the suppressive mosques) great staff, nice grounds and food wasn't pricy at all!

Yelp
Thean Ho temple is one of the most beautiful temple in Klang valley. It is strategically situated on top of the hill which makes it even more outstanding. This temple is always full of visitors and tourist because it it just plain beautiful. Aside from prayers and sightseeing, Thean Ho temple is one of the most well known place for Registration of Marriage (RoM) among Buddhist. I am one of the people who had my RoM done here. I choose to have my RoM in Thean Ho temple even though there is another place in Klang that are also famous for RoM among Klangians and extremely near my house. The reason being I want my marriage to be bless by the god and goddess in the temple and like any other girl, I want my RoM photos to be taken in a beautiful place. The decorations and scenery in Thean Ho temple is so much nicer as compared to the place in Klang. I was lucky that my RoM was done nearing Chinese New Year (CNY), where the temple which is already beautiful looks even better with those CNY decorations. Thean Ho temple is so famous for their RoM that they are almost always fully booked. So if you're interested to have your RoM here, be sure to set the date and book with them earlier as they have limited booking each day. For those who like visiting temple or sightseeing, Thean Ho temple is a place you wouldn't want to miss.

Yelp
My magical day begins here at this temple that starts a different journey of my life. I was here for the registering of marriage and to be honest, I sometimes doubt is this necessary? For a staunch Buddhist, getting hitched in a holy place represents a good beginning. The registering counter doesn't offer a one-stop solution (where it used to be providing all the forms etc.). If you are thinking to have your registering done here, be prepared with your forms, go to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) for your forms, filled that up, get it stamped before bringing all the necessary documents to the department of marriage in Thean Hou Temple. They require a long list of documents, birth certs and ICs - so check this out with them before going there. The office opens from 9am to 5pm daily and be mindful that you will be charged a fee to conduct your registration here. (Weekdays RM80 and weekends RM100).
