If you are a fan of the boil, this is a great location! They sat us at spacious booth for a group of 3. It was Friday evening and we did not have a res, but it was on the earlier side around 6pm. Classic the boil menu. For vegetarians- I had the potatoes, mac and cheese, and garlic bread- and left full. Plus service was friendly and attentive.

Reservations were made in celebration of my birthday in which the restaurant knew, but there was no celebration/ acknowledgement from the staff 👀. Anyway, I was craving the boil bag with garlic butter sauce, it was ok, (not enough garlic & the sauce was thickened 🤔), also had fried calamari, rice & my date had sliders, enjoyed with Modelo, and i indulged in 3 Bayou drinks and a couple of shots. The atmosphere was cool and not to pricy. I'll definitely return but will choose a different source for the boil bag. Everything else was decent so check it out! Beware parking sucks!

This place is a solid option for flavorful seafood in the Jersey City area. I'd probably give it 4.5 stars if I was able to grant halves in ratings. The environment is fun and well decorated. It's seafood boil style so you get to eat with your hands (with gloves) and get the table messy which may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it! We ordered two combos: Combo B (lobster with shrimp) and the Queen Combo (snow crab with shrimp). Both flavors being TheBoil Special (Cajun blend) and Fire for spicy level. We were cautioned about the fire spice level but thoroughly enjoyed the heat. Be sure to wear gloves for your hands when digging in. The potatoes are a nice addition to the mix too. Don't eat the corn unless you want spicy lips (if ordering spicy). What I like about The Boil is that you can really choose your own adventure. Everything is very customizable from the type of seafood, to the flavor profile, to the spice level. There should definitely be something for everyone (as long as they enjoy seafood). I'd be happy to come back the next time I'm craving seafood and love that it's probably one of the only places in the area where you can get delicious snow crab legs- a favorite!

S'okay. I didn't feel like eating with my hands, so I got the Fried Catfish, which was decent and came with tons of Cajun Fries. The side of pasta was too oily, though. However, I did try a bit of the Prince Combo and enjoyed the creamy Cajun Blend sauce, though I felt they were kinda stingy with the portions. Friendly service, though.

As we were greeted as soon as we came in by a very lovely lady at the front counter, we were immediately seated with the waiter, coming out very promptly and taking care of every knee. As soon as something was finished it was removed as soon as you needed something they were right there some of the best service I’ve ever had in my life. It’s hard to find and the food is absolutely amazing. Is one of the best nights I’ve had out at dinner and well over a year year.

Food (5/5): We had the shrimp and crab leg boil as well as garlic bread, and catfish sandwich. Everything, especially the seafood was amazing. The shrimp and crab were super fresh and the accompanying sauce was delicious! Service (5/5): Super nice staff members who very responsive and helpful. I heard that during peak dinner or lunch periods the service may not be as great, but at least during my experience, the service was top notch. Venue (5/5): Hip venue with good outdoor seating area. Very comfortable and enjoyable vibe.

We were seated outside and left for about 15/20 minutes before someone came to take our order. The wait staff was very unorganized. We started off with the oysters, the ones that the 2 waitresses had no clue about where they are from. The oysters were not cleaned well and lots of grit inside them. The crab cake basket was great! Delicious crabcake and seasoning, not to mention the Cajun fries. We then ordered the crawfish and crab boil with corn and potatoes. I will say that if you have never had crawfish, be ready to work hard to extract a very little amount of meat. The shrimp were delicious and a large size. It would be nice to have headless/cleaned crawfish on the menu, such as the way the shrimp is offered with or without a head. I will say that our wait staff definitely weren't inviting, nor did they explain or go more into depth about the items we ordered. We left a bit disappointed but possibly would return.

I placed a to-go order that included a lobster roll. Upon tasting it at home, I immediately noticed it was prepared completely differently than usual—specifically, it was extremely spicy, to the point of being inedible. I called the restaurant multiple times but was repeatedly disconnected before finally reaching someone who identified herself as Kwan. When I explained the issue, she told me she would need me to send a video to prove the lobster roll was made incorrectly before she could consider remaking it. I expressed that this approach was inappropriate and unhelpful, especially as I had already been trying to resolve the matter for over 40 minutes. My husband’s meal was getting cold while I still had no dinner. I offered to return to the restaurant with the untouched lobster roll so it could be reviewed and remade. Instead of working toward a solution, she abruptly hung up on me. Wanting to resolve the issue, I brought the lobster roll back in person. What followed was behavior that was nothing short of alarming: Kwan leaned over the counter at me aggressively, screamed in front of staff and customers, and made a shocking and invasive claim that she had called my previous employer, who she said had “never heard of me.” On the phone I had mentioned that I understand things go wrong in kitchens as I had work experience in the restaurant business and I made the mistake of telling her the name of the establishment, when asked. I truly cannot understand what would prompt a restaurant manager to take such an extreme and inappropriate step. Her behavior was completely unhinged and humiliating. I am deeply disturbed and very concerned about what her goal could have been in contacting a customer’s previous employer. I asked if there was someone above her I could speak with, and she said there was not. Given how uncontrolled and unprofessional her actions were, I felt it was necessary to try every outlet to contact a higher authority. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I understand that difficult service situations arise. But this went far beyond a miscommunication or even a dispute over food quality—this was a verbal attack by someone in a position of authority who handled the matter in a deeply unacceptable and threatening manner. I hope this is taken seriously, not only for the sake of future customers but also for the integrity of the brand.

Came here for a celebration with a party of 6 - reservations were plentiful online and we were seated promptly (also didn't have to wait for everyone to show up which was great) We all got the seafood boil with theBoil sauce and it was really delicious! Didn't taste as greasy and salty as other places, but was also not as hot as I thought it would be (cooled down quickly and sauce kind of congealed). Fried fish and fries were delicious, and the sizes of sides were also plentiful. Also note that they give you enough potatoes - don't have to order extra like I did

Passed by this spot by chance a few weeks ago. Have been wanting to try seafood boil for a while so gave it a shot. Stopped by after work but unfortunately happy hour was over at that point (I think we arrived at 6:30PM ish). Did not make a reservation but were sat down super quickly. The service was quick and attentive. Loved the ambiance and theme throughout the establishment. The bar in the front still gave that grove street vibe. We ordered Combo A (crawfish and headless shrimp) with their special seasoning plus fried catfish with sweet potato fries. Those sweet potato fries were amazing, best I've ever had. They were seasoned so well, I think cajun seasoning, and nicely crisp. The boil was good, wish it came with more of the sauce/seasoning. I liked the shrimp but was not a fan of the crawfish. Definitely going to return to try a different combination..

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while -- it's the only restaurant specializing in seafood in the Grove street pedestrian path area. What you may not know is that in addition to sidewalk seating in the front, they have a cute courtyard area as well more within the restaurant. It is a bit more intimate and quiet than being in the front. The food is good! They have a nice selection ranging from lobster to crawfish. I ordered the shrimp basket which was delicious. I really enjoyed their home made lemonade as well. Price wise the place is reasonable given its location. I would definitely come back again.

This is by far one of the best seafood restaurants I have ever tried. I love seafood and I am usually disappointed when I try seafood places. If I end up moving to Jersey City, I will be a regular here. Fantastic customer service, and every item I tried was delicious. Can't wait to go back on my next visit. My last NY trip I forgot to go here to get some seafood but I will be back. I hope they never change the offerings/selection, just add to it. They have a huge menu and several options. Highly recommend. I ate here 3 times in one week when I first tried it.

We had our very first seafood boil at The Boil and it did not disappoint! I'd been wanting to try a seafood boil for a while, and we actually stumbled upon this spot one night -- decided to come back another time, and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. We didn't have a reservation, but the hostess smiled and said "No worries!" She asked for number, and I was pleasantly surprised when she looked me up on Resy and addressed me by name -- a small but really thoughtful touch. She even asked where we'd like to sit. Loved that. Since it was our first time, we let our server know, and he was super helpful. He gave us a quick rundown of how it works and even asked how hungry we were so he could help us figure out how much food to order (which we appreciated!). We went with The Queen -- crawfish and shrimp -- and decided to get the seasoning sauce on the side just in case it was too much for us. The server was totally accommodating and didn't make us feel weird about any of our questions. I had read some reviews beforehand saying the service wasn't great, but honestly... our experience was the opposite. If anything, they checked in on us a little too often but I'd rather have that than be ignored! Awesome service, presentation and enjoyed the Boils. Dress for the occasion and wear the bib. Don't forget to use the gloves... use a straw to easy access for the beer(s). Enjoy!

Came on Valentine's day and had a reservation - we were running a few minutes late but they were accommodating and we were seated in 5 minutes. We ordered the crab cake basket - and it was good (especially the tartar sauce) but we wished there was more portion wise, as it was just one big crab cake. We both got the prince combo (one with their seasoning and one garlic butter) we added mussels as well. Everything was delicious! The drinks were alright (the bayou juice and mint mojito) not that strong. Everything ended up being $174. A bit pricey, but was overall solid!

Really great experience! Made a resi and stopped by on a Friday around 7pm - when we left it was packed. The restaurant ambience is so nice, great for friends or a date night. If you or someone you know loves seafood, this is a must try! They offer both outdoor and indoor seating and service was very good! We tried ordered lobster roll (little spicy) the southern fried chicken (SO good!) and Combo B (Headless Shrimp) in Garlic butter (very good!!). They provided gloves, metal seafood cracker and plenty of napkins. They also had plenty of cocktail and drinks - although we didn't try any. Maybe next time! We had a great experience overall!

Best seafood place in Jersey City. Delicious food with excellent service. Delivery has also always been yummy, but a great spot to eat at as well with indoor and outdoor seating. I also like the tipping setup that is used where it is a flat fee vs. variable tipping pricing. Looking forward to returning here soon! Highly recommend the catfish basket, headless and head on shrimp, as well as the crab.

One Star. Disrespectful from the start. Food was fine. Our waiter was great and fixed a mistake quickly -- no complaints there. But that's where the good experience ended. The hostess was rude to my parents as soon as they arrived. They were told they only had a limited time to eat because it was "their busiest day." Really? That's how you welcome people with a reservation? I didn't hear anyone else being told that -- just my parents, I don't want to make this about race... but make of that what you will. Our reservation was at 4:45. My parents arrived on time. I came a little later (4:56) with a +1, and we all sat on a bench with plenty of space -- no extra chairs even needed. Still, they gave my parents a hard time before I even got there. They told my parents they will be kicked out at 6:30. The food arrived at 5:45. What was supposed to be a nice Mother's Day dinner started off with tension and disrespect. It completely ruined the mood. A restaurant can't just serve decent food -- they have to treat people with basic courtesy. That clearly didn't happen here. Wouldn't recommend.

Solid seafood boil but on the pricier side. The wait was also pretty long once seated (even though there were two other parties in this restaurant). The flavors are on the more mild side compared to other seafood boils I've had.

OMG‼ The Boil on Houston Street was my go to place for priceless incredible seafood, cocktails with their INSANE spice (totally optional). My niece recently shared with me that "The Boil" is now in Hoboken, NJ. Stop the CraCra, are you serious? No more parking issues. It was a great seafood excursion that I truly loved eating, as it settled wonderfully on my palette. My Spiced Seafood (Lobster and shrimp) , that many can't handle (I learned the hard way at The Boil on Houston Street). Please know your freakin spicy limit; because it will definitely give you a life awakening lesson. Lmao‼ Lord Have Mercy‼ It was another escapism for Moi, who is a lover of lobster, shrimp and calamari and getting out of the City. The Lincoln Tunnel or GWB awaits you...

Very tacky and over priced. Food is extremely Bland. 20% service charge before you are even seated to eat from a plastic bag. The ambiance and decor needs to be updated to match the menu prices.

The food was honestly amazing and just what I was looking for for a large party of family and friends. However, the service was not good-- took them forever to deliver drinks, take our card for the check, etc. attentiveness overall not great-- if the service was better it would've been a 4 or 5 stars.

Every dish shows the kitchen's commitment to flavor. Order different options to expand your palate. The instant we walked in, all staff people showed incredible warmth. The dishes feature unexpected combinations that impress. I'm ready to come back soon!

It was my first time and took my mom here for Mother's Day. Took forever to order and waitress offered only one combo for 3 people, it wasn't enough. We will still hungry. Horrible service! Will never visit this place again.

We went during their happy hour (5-6:30)..$1 and $2 raw oysters with a good selection of beers to accompany them. We also ordered a few plates of slides which were good as well. Will need to come back for a full dinner sometime soon...

Had the most amazing time. The food is absolutely delicious. We ordered snow crabs, shrimp and crawfish. Also ordered their cajun fries. We really enjoyed everything. We got a mix of flavors with the famous Cajun blend. Ordered spicy and had fire on the side. The fire is definitely hot but we loved it. Had enough food to pack and takeaway and enjoyed it equally the next day. The staff was friendly and amazingly attentive. We know for sure we'll be coming back.

Went to The Boil for dinner on a weeknight because my girlfriend loves it. Parking was a bitch, but fortunately, we were seated quickly. I'd say the restaurant's decor is modern meets kitschy. It looks pretty modern, but they have the usual ocean/dock/beach/lobster boat decor lying around. We were given a small container for scraps, disposable gloves, paper plates, plastic utensils, and a bib. This place is not fancy, and you'll probably get messy peeling shellfish. We got a pound of shrimp, along with a catfish basket and mac and cheese. The shrimp boil was served in a plastic bag with a nice thick garlicky sauce, potatoes, and corn. The fried catfish was lightly breaded and well seasoned. The mac and cheese was OK. The food was good, but I still prefer cooking and eating my shellfish at home since it's so messy to eat in public.

Very bad. Ordered mussels and half of them were gray I hope I don't get sick tonight! It was served in a plastic bag. I think we all know how bad plastic is not to mention that the potatoes were raw. The crab cake was all breading no crab. Wait staff was invisible. asked for my phone number, why? When we gave some feedback, there was no consideration on their part. Nothing. So bad. Will Never go back.

Probably one of the best seafood experiences I've had in Jersey City. Location: Right next to Grove Street in the heart of Jersey City, The Boil is literally at the center of Jersey City. Food: We ordered clams, shrimp, prawns and alaskan crab legs all with Cajun sauce. We also ordered lobster rolls and fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service: The service here was also great. Price: Very affordable given that almost everything we ordered had seafood. Verdict: Just a great place for seafood.

FYI ... they charge a 20% Hospitality Fee ... it's basically a tip. So don't tip. Food is delicious. Can't complain.

The service was amazing! Absolutely immaculate. However the food was substandard. The shrimp wasn't cooked nearly long enough and the crawfish clearly weren't purged beforehand. A lot of time was spent trying to dig out the digestive tract of the crawfish, and the flavor of the food was okay at best. Pricing was extremely high for what I would consider a very mid meal. The drinks were great though.

Delicious seafood. We ordered Alaskan crab, Snow Crab, Shrimp with and without head and Mussels. We love the The Boil Cajun Special sauces on the seafood. We ordered the mussels with garlic butter sauce which came out to be super delicious. Everyone enjoyed the food soooo much. The sauces are so delicious- you can dip garlic bread or add pasta to it. Don't waste the sauce. We been to this place for special occasions. This time was for my daughter's Medical School graduation surprised party.

TL;DR Repeat customer, always hits the spot when you're looking for something semi light and refreshing but also savory Second time dining in Everything always tastes great and fresh. Decor is as expected, very maritime (I didn't realize this but in the center-middle of the restaurant is this hidden outdoors portion - looked pretty cool). Service is average to above average, very attentive, albeit at times disorganized but doesn't really detract from your overall experience. I often get the crab cakes or lobster/crab rolls. I find that there's some variability at times with the lobster roll, not in terms of quality but spice? Yesterday evening, I definitely felt a spice kick which was good but unexpected. Re: oysters. My only concern (tasted good), didn't make note of their origins, either on the menu or when plated. Kind of just came out as is without much explanation (there were different oysters), six per order ($15). Built-in 20% gratuity which I usually tip regardless but I don't really think should be standard at a restaurant (unless large groups but it's only ever two of us).

Came here one week ago. I've been going to the boil for years (usually in NYC). When I arrived, I was meeting someone there and my phone died. The hostess was kind enough to let me charge my phone. Drinks made by faith were really great. She was the only bartender there, and I didn't see her with a bar back. As the evening got busier, she still was working alone, which meant a little bit of a wait for drinks. Manhattan locations have a bar back which make service a little faster. Great happy hour oysters and a drink for 12$. Definitely worth it. I had a reservation for a table for two. I let Kwan know that and told her I wanted a booth. She said she would try. By the time my bf arrived, I told Kwan by party was complete, she told me there were no seats available with a booth. She offered seats in the front of the restaurant (which had a draft and was very cold). We told her we would wait for the booth inside. She decided to seat several people who came after us or with reservations for a later time. She also sat a couple at a booth and when I confronted her about it she said that they also had a reservation and that she would give me a bigger booth. If they had a reservation, why say that you were going to give me a bigger booth to make up for it? I waited over an hour and had a reservation. Finally got to sit down, the food and the server were really good. But because of the extremely long wait and being skipped regardless of my reservation, I think the customer service and fairness is likely better in the manhattan locations.

What a great experience, started with happy hour and their cheap raw clams and oysters. Then went on to ordering pretty much everything they had on their entree of course the crawfish is a must try and the if you're in the mood nothing is better than the king crab. This would be 4stars Only complaint I have is NEVER order a flavor lemonade. We ordered 3 strawberry lemonades and they charged us $12 per drink. This is not even an alcoholic drink. Just plain lemonade with some fruit flavoring.

The girls and I came here for dinner with 7pm reservations. When I arrived I parked nearby on the street but it took a while to find parking. The hostess told me I had to wait for my party to get there to be seated. After about 10 minutes a couple of us showed and she was able to seat us. We were served by Ashley and she was cool. For drinks I got the frozen margarita and the girls got different drinks they liked. One had to send one back because it was too sweet but they did replace it no problem. My margarita was good but a little on the sweet side. Now it was time to order entrées. I decided to go with the bbq shrimp basket. The shrimp was good but the cajun fries were spicy but not bad. The girls liked their seafood bags and crab cakes. The bill came to about $400 total. They included 20% gratuity and only took 2 cards. All in all we had a good experience.

HH Review I knew they had a happy hour that ran daily on weekdays until 6:30pm, but I had not been in to try it before. We came in around 5:45pm and were given a booth table. They do 6 oysters for $7.50 so we got a dozen to start and each ordered a drink - a mango margarita for me, a pina colada for X, and a beer for BIL. Drinks are BOGO during HH and you can mix and match, so that's nice. We ended up getting another dozen oysters and they were excellent both times. Service was attentive and great. Bill for 3 was about $90, which wasn't bad at all.

I came here for the oyster happy hour and got food poisoning... So go at your own risk.

Bad service, over priced, and entirely too over seasoned. Nice looking bar but expensive drinks as well. I know a few other spots I'd prefer over this. Management was even a hassle.

Amazing! Omg I loved the fresh little neck clams. The shrimp was sooooooo good. I stopped by for a snack and I'll definitely be back to update my review. Service was quick and server was friendly. The light was a little dim so my pics were a bit dark.

Came to the Boil for apps and drinks! I have come here many times but didn't review. Seafood is always fresh and delicious!! Happy Hour is a must BOGO selected cocktails and apps half price. Decor is adorable and the outdoor patio is perfect on sunny warm days! Staff is polite and helpful! Prices have skyrocket since Covid but we all know the drill! I still come out to support,

The sauces were really good and spicy enough. It was all very buttery though, including all the side dishes we ordered. There is a small courtyard inside and some outdoor seating facing the street.

The Boil in downtown Jersey city is an awesome space and wait staff Unfortunately that's where the awesomeness ends Having heard good things about the one in Manhattan we decided to try instead of our intended restaurant Porta. After recommendations from our waiter we started with the Oysters Rockefeller and boy did they not disappoint -exceptional flavor and texture-so good in fact I can see the filling with linguine as a main course. From the raw bar the little neck clams really lived up to their name -almost the size of a nickel Mains were so boring -Fried Catfish lacked a crispy coating and was so moist I was half expecting it to swim away . Cajun fries so-so, Popeyes could trach them a trick or two. Definitely not worth a return visit -

Bay-beee! The food was so good.... King crab legs Regular crab legs (forgot what the exact season style was) Chicken wings Fried Catfish Pina colada Eat outside or indoors while jamming to the music. Staff was so pleasant and professional, we will be back!

Headless jumbo shrimp with the special Cajun blend sauce was the right pick; I chose "spicy" over "fire," getting into that perfect zone where you sweat but don't obliterate your taste buds. The gumbo is o.k. if you're looking for extras, consider ways of utilizing the outstanding sauce. At one pound of shrimp this isn't a light snack, yet there's more sauce than things to put in, so it might be worth getting garlic bread or extra corn. The extra sauce option doesn't seem necessary but I wouldn't blame hard-core flavor seekers who wanted to drink it straight from the container.

Can't say enough good things about this place! We came for the first time and it did not disappoint. Table wasn't ready upon our arrival, so we sat at the bar and I had a pina colada that was probably the best I've had. The table ordered crab cakes and a lobster roll for appetizers. The crab cake basket came with perfectly seasoned and cooked fries. For the main course we had a combo of lobster, snow crab legs, Dungeness crab, crawfish and shrimp and everyone was satisfied. The boil bags have a variety of sauces to choose from. We went with garlic butter in varied levels of spicy. The boil bags come with corn and potatoes. We had Brussels sprouts as a side. All was delicious and we will be returning. Messy, and a bit pricy but well worth it! Service was excellent. We enjoyed the music too.

I love this place. I believe their boiled seafood and served with garlic sauce is the best. Do not forget to order some garlic bread to finish the sauce. My husband does not eat seafood, he ordered hamburgers bites and loved it.

Let me start off by saying 10/10! 5 stars all across, I'm a regular LOL. Great location, hard to find parking very busy street (mainly pedestrians). The shrimp basket is also very good! Customer service is also really good and they move very fast LOL. I love the (under the sea vibe) outside during the summer they have like this beach sand vibe and you can request to eat out there. Overall, this place is definitely somewhere you'd want to have REAL seafood! BTW THEY CLOSED ON TUESDAYS :( !!!

Love all 3 locations of The Boil! Came all the way to this location since they have a cute backyard away from cars so we can eat our dinner during COVID-19 times. The food and drinks are delicious! Service was good and our hostess Leona (sorry if I spell your name wrong) was amazing and friendly. We had a party of 9 and had plenty of room sitting in the corner end. The food did take a while to come compared to the Waverly location, not sure if they had too many take out orders being placed. The only downfalls were the flies come while you're eating and it's annoying, the giant fans were on full speed and kept blowing in our faces which also kept blowing our bibs away. The AC was blasting and freezing in the woman's bathroom. Someone really needs to upkeep the restrooms, toilet paper was close to none and paper towel wipes were very minimal and then gone, wasn't restocked within the 2.5 hours I was there. Street parking can be hard but if you go a few blocks further you can get lucky. The blocks are very short so it's not too bad.

Happy hour oysters were sooo good, extremely fresh. Drinks were great quality and the perfect amount of booze to get you ready for crab boil. I really like this place for the value and order it at home often, but visiting is always a treat as well. Attentive service, clean & comfortable atmosphere with bomb music and amazing food. I'm so glad I stopped into this restaurant. I'm a pescatarian and love well done seafood. I ordered: 1) Blue Bae Cocktail 2) Cajun Fries 3) Lobster Roll 4) Crab Roll I've tried several different Lobster Rolls over the years and there are only 3 that I've had that have moved me and The Boil's Lobster Roll has hit the title of #3 on my short list. The perfectly cooked tenderness of the Lobster left me speechless. The seasoning according to my Ratatouille tastebuds tastes like the Chef seasons the Lobster with their famous boil seasoning. This same seasoning flavors the Crab Roll as well. Both Rolls are full to the brim with the seasoned seafood I mean full!!! I can't believe how tender that Lobster actually was...definitely my favorite. The fries were tasty stand alone dish as well...they seem hand cut. The atmosphere is great for date nights and is family friendly as you all can sit and eat you boil with your bibs on as the seafood juices fly in an all out Seafood Mukbang...Lolol!!!! The waitstaff was friendly and helpful im definitely coming back here again and I give this one 5 stars.

I used to come here a lot before the pandemic. I came in with a friend because we were craving crab legs. On their happy hour they have $1 oysters at the bar so we started with that. The oysters were huge and tasty. Unfortunately, you can't have crab legs at the bar so we moved to a booth. We ordered the catfish sliders and the lobster roll to start. The catfish sliders were ok, they were cold upon arrival. The coleslaw also overpowered the flavoring of the catfish. The lobster roll was very meaty, it was also cold upon arrival. I believed it was supposed to be warm and it didn't have traditional butter. It was a cajun flavor on the lobster roll. For our entree we ordered the prince bag and queen bag. The prince bag came with shrimp, corn, potatoes, clam, and crab legs. The queen bag came with shrimp, crab, potatoes and corn. To our bags, we also added eggs and got it with the boil cajun blend. The sauce was delicious, I just wish it marinated more into the crab legs. The eggs were way overcooked but the potatoes and corn were just right. The service was good, our server was attentive and nice. They do charge a 20% gratuity on all checks which is fine. I just wished there was more love put into the food.

The seafood is fresh ; the place is packed AB's service is good. Parking is a nightmare so please consider that before going because you'll be late and they are very popular. They run out of items so don't have your heart set on something without having a back up choice .

Great food, great service, great space. Very reasonable prices! Perfect for a family outing where the kids have fun getting messy. Get the boil, with extra corn, and get some rice on the side to mop up all the leftover sauce.

TL; DR - The Boil NEVER disappoints! Whether in Manhattan or NJ, I always have an incredible experience at The Boil! From the staff to the food, everything is always on point. The Manager at this location was amazing, as was our server, and the bartender. I trekked all the way from the Bronx (to meet a friend for a long-awaited reunion) and would absolutely do it again and again! I am a proud longtime customer and will be for many years to come!
