Theme House restaurant & karaoke

We got an upgrade to a VIP room with a private bathroom inside! The room was so clean and huge with plenty of seating. The karaoke system (DuoChang) had a great selection of English and Mexican songs—we were able to find all the songs we wanted, surprisingly! My coworkers had a blast and absolutely loved it. Speaking of the food, we ordered their signature chicken wings, and they were worth a try! This place exceeded our expectations! We’ll definitely come back next time.

We had such a great time! Your group can rent private party rooms or hang out in the main room to party with all the new friends! If you want to sing in the main room, it's $25 per person. With the excellent sound system, smoke machine, and lighting effects, it was worth it for the handful of songs I got to sing. If your group members all want to sing, it may be less expensive to rent a room. The staff was helpful and fun, with some talented singers among them. They walked us through the process of requesting songs, and it was super easy. It offered the standard American pop, but a wide selection of international music as well. The food was great, and the main areas were clean and neat. The ladies' restroom needs some better door locks, thus the nearly perfect score.

Today was my 44th birthday and a time was had! The ambiance, the location and the great staff made it even better than I anticipated! They accommodated us with no problem. I sang, danced, drank and ate! Thanks for making my birthday a memorable one with my friends! We will be back for sure!

Such a fun place and with impeccable service! There are private rooms for groups of 8 people or join the fun via the lounge area. The sound is impeccable and they offer a variety of beers and cocktails. The star of the show goes to the customer service. They truly make the whole experience unforgettable. We took an Uber so I’m not sure if there’s a lot of parking.

My friends and I came here Saturday night 4/19 for karaoke and had the TIME OF OUR LIVES! The wings were phenomenal. The drinks were generous. More than anything, the service was impeccable. And after our time was over, the owner (I forget his name but he was so nice and charming) found us and personally wished my friend a happy birthday. She (and I) left feeling so special and cared for. We will DEFINITELY be coming back and spreading the word!

We had planned to spend my wife's 30th birthday party in the large room on a saturday. The reservation process was seamless and communication was excellent. Unfortunately, we had a serious family emergency and had to cancel the day before. The owner and staff were very understanding, professional, and accommodating. Definitely plan on making another reservation in the future to check this place out!

I threw my birthday at Theme House this year and booked one of the karaoke rooms. I wasn’t sure what our experience was going to be like, however, my friends and I had such a blast. The owner is such a sweet and accommodating guy and the staff was all very helpful and nice. Theme House offers really yummy drinks, hours of fun singing, and an easy way to entertain a huge group of people. If you are looking to try something new, I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Theme house is a relatively new karaoke place in the chinatown area. It is located on 24th Pl, which is away from the main chinatown crowd and traffic. The vibe is cool, modern and pretty. It has all the mainstays as other karaoke places. An open general area for everyone and private rooms of various sizes. Beer, liquor (order a shot or entire bottle) and non-alcoholic beverages. They also have snacks; the Korean chicken wings are really good. Staff makes this place stand out. They were friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Jason for taking care of us!

This place is so fun! A friend celebrated their birthday here and we rented out the larger room. It fit around 25 of us comfortably. One downside to the experience was that it took 30 minutes for us to get our room due to the last reservation, but they made up for that by allowing us to stay a little later past our reservation time. While we waited, we got drinks at the bar and the place was spacious enough for us to all chill. The system to find songs can be a little tricky but the staff was able to help guide us to find songs. The bottle service was great but I wish we were able to receive more mixers because once you finish the 4 mixers provided, you had to pay $10 for each additional mixer. I liked that they also had food available - I didn't get any, but it looked delicious. They also have seating in the main area which was great if folks wanted to step out for a second. If I'm looking for a fun karaoke spot in the future, I'll definitely come back!

Waited an hour for a room we reserved in advance. Pricing scheme is bonkers (service fee, food minimum, time minimums, automatic tips, etc.). The whole experience felt like a scam. Our total for 2 hours was around $400. The English song catalog was awful (and hard to navigate) and the system quality was not it. The food was good though (+1 star)

Was at Theme House over the weekend for a friend's birthday and we had a memorable time. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and immediately brought to our private room. There were about 20+ people in our party. The room was large enough to accommodate us all. We met the owner who was nice and charismatic. Since it was our first time, and had such a large group for a birthday, we were promised a round of free shots for everyone when we made the reservation -- this was fulfilled! Much appreciated. Enjoyed the environment and lighting. It set the mood and helped keep the energy going. On Saturday nights, there's a live band performance which was neat. Everyone who worked here was friendly and helpful; from the bouncer, to the host, bartender, and owner. Food was pretty good. We ordered the Korean fried wings - solid meal. While singing and drinking, this was an excellent combo and will recommend. Fan of the non-spicy, but we also got spicy wings for those wanting a kick. All in all, it was an enjoyable event and the birthday person loved it. Would come back for sure and recommend it to anyone looking for a night of karaoke. Thank you.

Great place. Little hidden but worth the visit!! We'll be back soon. One of my favorite karaoke places in the city as they have larger rooms compared to others! Ample parking

Karaoke... You never want to admit that you love it, perhaps you even avoid it. I randomly walked into this place, and WOW What a great experience. It is an immersive expereince not just singing to a screen.. Highly Recommended !

I reserved a private room for my birthday party and I had a great experience! Elsie was very helpful and accommodating ahead of time and while we were there. Would definitely recommend!

Me and my friend went there the last night for karaoke, before we go, we didn't expecting such a nice place, people there are very nice, the karaoke system have lot of songs that in many different languages, you will definitely find your song to sing no matter you are Chinese or non-Chinese. Over all, we had a very good night over there. They also decorated for Halloween, pretty terrify but nice vibe.

I went here after work with coworkers , and I had a blast!!!!!! The chicken wings are like no other wings in Chicago , so crunchy and the sauce they have is amazing . I love this place . Although I just tried to order through DoorDash and they cancelled my order, it was pretty damn amazing to be there.

Scam. $71 dollar service fee. $198 for a bottle of grey goose. 2 hour minimum at $50 an hour. Were there for 39 minutes spent $498. Don't go. Chicken wings sucked too.

Great space, friendly staff. Nice location with easy street parking. We got a private room with drinks and food, had a fantastic time! Would definitely come back and recommend it to friends.

This Karaoke bar is so so. The inside is strung with white Christmas lights that gives off a nice feel on first impression. The music video selection is very old and lacks resolution. Equipment such as microphones were out of battery so we asked them to change it out twice which really detracted from the experience. The service was lacking. There is no call button for service, so we had to go out to the bar each time. The bartender gave me a bucket with 7 drinks and expected me to carry it back to the room. The waitress did bring us food. The chicken wings were hot and tasted better than expected, but pricey and not much options aside from chicken. We had a birthday celebration and asked for extra paper plates and utensils and the staff complained that they do not provide extras. But they have no problem charging $50 for service fee. On Fridays and weekends, they require 3hrs minimum if you want to make a reservation. The bathroom was clean, but looked drab. Parking was easy.

Our group came in on a Sunday night. They have the best service and hospitality you will ever get!!! They are super sweet and will accommodate whatever you need

I went here on my 21st birthday with 5 other people. We rented the small karaoke room and we all had an amazing time! The service was great! They were very flexible and understanding when we wanted to extend our reservation. The food was good! Although the portions are a bit small, the quality of the food makes up for it. This is a great place to take friends, sing, and have fun! And as long as you bring other friends and can split the bill, it's pretty affordable! I would definitely come again!

I was looking for a place to hold my sisters 50th birthday celebration. We all love karaoke. private room cost 95/ hr. Which isn't bad, we had around 16 people. I was there from 530-930 and the place was completely empty the whole time, (and this was a Saturday) so I felt like I wasted 400 dollars. We could have easily sat in the main room and been fine. I don't blame them for not telling me this, because business is business, but be aware if you have a large group, maybe come in around the time you want to see how busy it is and if you really need a private room. Also was charged a 74 dollar service fee, but everyone had to leave to room constantly to get food and dinks.......There was no one to wait on us, and we were the only party there for 3 of the 4 hours I paid for. The food looked nice, but was only ok. I'm not a hater, but I've been a chef for 25 plus years. so I know a little. The interface for choosing songs was difficult to navigate and the song choice for American songs was limited to like very top hits. Me and my family love karaoke and usually sing from YouTube, but their playlist definite needs an upgrade and update. Overall, I wouldn't suggest renting a private room. If you are only interested in singing songs on the billboard top 100, then maybe this place is for you. If you are looking for some deeper cuts, or even Disney songs......this aint the spot. The drinks were a bit pricy, but there was plenty of parking. That was probably the highlight of the evening. My sister had fun, because all the family was there and we made the best of it, but I would not visit again. I was tasked with putting the party together short notice, so I wish I had time to do more research, but a review like this would have definitely helped. So I wrote it.

This place is amazing!! Went there for my birthday party on NYE and went into a private room for 25 guest! Everything was clean and the atmosphere was incredible. The staff was super chill and gave out free shots at midnight! Was a little confusing searching for songs at times but we enjoyed every song chosen. We forgot some stuff at the end of the night and the owner let us come back to get it early the next day. Highly recommend.

Great Karaoke place. Last minute decision to go sing for my friend's birthday. Parking is super easy, since we went to an earlier hour, the gave us a room discount. The place is CLEAN and super spacious. We sang for two hours, order drinks, find a lot of new songs, friendly owner, super reasonable price, wonderful experience. Next time we will come back with a bigger group.

The best karaoke place ive been to- spacious private rooms, great sound. Best of all, I've never felt so welcomed by such friendly staff! A must-go if you love having an amazing time.

Jason, jack and Elsie were the best hosts ever. We came from the bay and had so much fun here! I'd recommend it to anyone traveling far from home because I felt at home!

Went with a friend of mine that lives close in Chinatown, enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

We went here after a Sox game on a Friday night just to have a drink. The decor and setup was inviting but the people were not. It was almost as if we weren't welcomed there. It was only 2 of us at the bar and we had to motion to him to get service. Even patrons that were using the karaoke rooms jumped in front us, regardless of us approaching the bar first. Maybe it might be fun with a group to use the rooms, but if you're looking to just sit back and have a drink, go elsewhere.

Very nice facilities and super friendly staff. Came is after lollapalooza and they were able to accommodate for 20 people comfortably. Sound system is top notch.

This is a great venue for karaoke, especially their private rooms. The controls on the computer were a bit difficult to figure out/navigate; I wish it was a bit easier to sift through the catalogues. However, the staff were extremely friendly and bartenders were attentive and kind. Our friends ordered some food as well and they seemed to enjoy it. The private karaoke room can get a bit hot depending on how many people are inside, but overall this is a fantastic place to bring friends who want to partake in some karaoke. There is plenty of free street parking available as well, just make sure to use the buddy system when traveling to the venue because it's in a bit of a sketchy area. Overall, would definitely recommend this place!

This place is all around 5 stars. We rented a private room for 25 to celebrate a birthday. The locations is great with east street parking right out front. The staff and bartenders are friendly and they make the drinks STRONG lol. The sound and lighting inside the private rooms are also perfect with a wide variety of music to sing too, including Hip Hop and R&B. We will definitely be back!
