Coffee truck!
These guys have taken over the old Texaco station on the corner of Nacogdoches and 410 and have set up shop selling coffee out of their food truck! When I went by, they were pouring up a Guatamalean roast, that they said was a medium roast, it tasted pretty strong to me! This was no weak ass coffee, no this stuff was so strong you could almost stand up a spoon in it! Just how I like my brew...
There was no line, and they take credit cards. The coffee came in a plain white cup- no logo on it.
There was a nice little area with picnic tables and edison bulbs to hang out at, as well as a Mexican food truck serving up tacos in the same lot.
Parking wasn't exactly easy. The landlord of this spot also has churros, mobile window glass repair and a construction job going on with the taco truck and this coffee truck! It's not a quiet and peaceful place to enjoy your coffee either- this is a noisy intersection! The traffic, the airport, and the freeway all make for a loud place to drink.
The clerk was knowledgable. When asked about the coffee, he went on and on longer than most people who just say, "It's coffee we got brewed up for you." Instead, "It's an approachable single origin with a medium light roast, for a caramel, fruity taste and lightly acidic undertones and tobacco on the back end."
