Bright, contemporary-style dining spot serving authentic Thai curries and stir-fries.
"Not only does THEP on the UES have their own delivery and pick-up service through their website, but they’re offering 15% off your first order and 10% off anything in the future. So if you live near the UES and see yourself ordering a lot of duck curry over the next period of your life, this is essential info." - hannah albertine
"Thai delivery and takeout available - call or order through their website" - hannah albertine, nikko duren, bryan kim, arden shore, matt tervooren
"In case you’ve been put in charge of ordering takeout for a group, get THEP Thai’s appetizer platter that comes with spring rolls, pancakes, and various types of dumplings. It’s sort of like opting for “D, all of the above” on a takeout ordering test (and it’s always the right answer). Then make sure to order the panang curry with roast duck without telling anyone about it - it’s our favorite thing here and you’re not going to want to share." - hannah albertine, bryan kim
"Out with Che, Miranda sweats over red curry at this Upper East Side Thai spot with idiosyncratic decor including Moroccan lanterns and wood-paneled walls." - Eater Staff
"Visually, everything about THEP promises a great experience. The modern interior features hanging plants and huge windows, and the wraparound patio is filled with greenery and white flowers. However, the food is uneven. The gelatinous, bright purple peanut-filled dumplings and seared duck breast in rich red curry are tasty. But other items—like the overcooked pad see eiw with mushy rice noodles and hard pieces of beef—are disappointing. The menu is huge, so you should have no trouble finding a few things that sound good. Whether or not you’ll actually enjoy what you order is a bit of a crapshoot though. photo credit: THEP Thai Restaurant" - Kenny Yang
