Subject: Disappointing Lunch Experience on NY Day!
Very disappointing experience for our family NY lunch at this restaurant. We booked in advance for 11 people at 11:30 a.m. and arrived early. The order-style buffet was poorly managed—food arrived randomly, very slowly, and not all dishes we ordered were served. Portions were extremely small (e.g. one drumstick with one sticky rice ball), and desserts came before some main dishes)
For 1,109++baht per person, the food was not Michelin-level at all—most dishes were overly sweet. No vegetable basket or pickled carrots served on the table like Vietnamese style, unless asked, and only two sauce bowls were provided for 11 people to share! Although the buffet limit was about 1.5 hours, we ended up to stay 2.5 hours and some guests still felt hungry due to missing dishes.
Positives: beautiful ambiance and good vibe, good location
Suggestion for improvements:
- Increase staffing during festive holidays, especially for large group bookings (if short of staff, should not accept large booking group)
• Improve service efficiency and dish sequencing
• Improve food balance and flavour
• Ensure all ordered items are served
• Provide adequate condiments and shared items
Overall, this was the worst Vietnamese premium buffet experience I’ve ever had, and unfortunately, I would not recommend it especially for a large group booking!
