Thierry Marx Bakery Beaupassage

I can't quite wrap my head why this place has such terrible reviews - came in for a sandwich, and it was SO good that I had to go back in to get another one, plus more things to try! The chicken+sundried tomatoes+cheese sandwich on a mixed grain bun was just perfect. Also loved the spinach and mushroom quiche, gianduja financier, and chocolate Madelines!

The tropézienne tart I bought was ok but the praluline was quite disappointing. The cafe could use some aesthetic renovation to make it nice to spend time in. Right now it looks like a cantine. Nice staff though.

Poor selection available for breakfast at 10am on bank holiday Monday (no croissants or pain au chocolates etc) ... Coffee is not barrista style -it's a machine. The cappuccino foam was too firm to drink. Everything in takeaway/ paper cups. Would not recommend for a dine-in experience... Dirty / unserviceable tables. HOWEVER the selection of sweet treats and breads looked good as take away/shopping option.

The place is dirty, the staff is rude and the pain au chocolat are disgusting. Should be kicked out of Beaupassage and replaced with a decent boulangerie.

Tourist trap. Bread was dry and not baked enough. Canelé was too hard. Flan was heavy, and flavorless. Pear tart was stuffy. One of the worst bakery we've been to in Paris.

Arrived Sunday 6:30 pm they are not serving coffee anymore. We want to taste how good the pastries and coffee here, but sadly they told us they are closing in a few minutes. Is it because of corona virus or we are Asian.

Focaccia was cold, wish it was toasted. Croissant was okay, coffee from an automated machine. You can find much better bakery cafe’s in Paris.

Fantastic little bakery near our flat and, conveniently, around the corner from the best fromagerie in this part of town.
