"Thierry Schwartz, who describes himself as an Alsace native by birth and at heart, believes that nature's rightful place is at the centre when it comes to cooking. This ethos is borne out by his commitment to local producers and by his title of Officer of France's Order of Agricultural Merit. To set the scene: think lots of wood, seasonal vegetables on display and a log-burning fire. Thierry concocts three remarkable set menus in which the produce (from Alsace and permaculture) is sufficient in and of itself: pure spelt, arctic char, wild sorrel, organic farm eggs... to be washed down with a fine, natural wine. The choice is yours – from the 1,500-strong list!" - Michelin Inspector

Not the Michelin experience we are normally used to. The service is Michelin-worthy, but the food isn't even worth a star, especially not for the price of €135 for a 5-course meal. The pork main course had more fat than meat, as can be seen in the photo. The other dishes were well-flavored but too simple; we weren't surprised, which we expected. The wine menu, which features almost exclusively natural wines, also leave little choice if you're not a fan. The price-quality ratio is way out of whack, and the dishes still have plenty of room for improvement.

We enjoyed every bit(e) of our experience at the restaurant. The service is amazing - from the time you enter the restaurant until you leave. A lot of attention is paid to making your experience unforgettable, and it shows. The food is, of course, part of the experience. We opted for the surprise menu, based on the chef's inspiration. The chef likes making vegetables the stars of the dishes, and I would say that was a resounding success. We will both remember the amazing snow peas dish, as well as the dessert around white asparagus and vanilla. We also followed the recommendation for a natural wine to pair with our menu (hard to choose when there are over 1600 wines to choose from!), and it was the perfect discovery for our night. We will be back, in a different season - to try new vegetables.

NUT ALLERGIES BEWARE!! The food and service was very nice but not worth the price, (200+ € per person with wine pairings.) Especially in comparison to the other Michelin 1 and 2 restaurants we visited that week. Despite telling our servers about one diner’s allergies, and being assured by restaurant's staff of menu containing no nuts … one diner developed allergic symptoms, and had to leave for medical attention. We were very disappointed with restaurants management insensitivity to the allergic reaction situation and unwillingness to reduce the bill, even for the affected diner. A minor adjustment was hard- negotiated, but not satisfactory IMO given the situation. None of the six diner’s would recommend this restaurant or return.

Excellent vegetarian menu. As tourists, this was the best way to discover Alsatian products and taste but with a high attention for details, innovation and sustainability. Every plate was a discovery of new taste and combination between ingredients, perfectly executed and balanced, also with wine pairing. One of the best veg menu ever tried. Staff is super nice and special mention to Maria who supported us during the whole dinner.

Nice mxicture of modern and past in the interior the service was friendly and they tried to speak German. :-) We had a 5 course menu. A lot of meals was prepared from milk or fresh cheese and cream and the overall taste was kind of umami sour milky. I liked it, my companion not soo much. If you don't like orange wine I would not recommend the offered accompanying wines because most of them are unfiltered and taste like cider in my humble opinion. Even though they really well correspondent with the meals. All in all, it's a matter of taste and with classic wines I would give 5 stars.

Overall a great experience! Wine list is great, food was really good with the focus on local influences and ingredients. Some dishes were not to my liking but that’s personal taste. Service was exceptional.

We had a fantastic meal here. Service was impeccable and you could really tell how much effort they put into creating a wonderful experience. When we arrived there was a basket of raw sourdough bread on our table, this was then served to us freshly baked later during our evening together with butter that had been freshly churned infront of our very own eyes. Genius!!! However, one part of our evening absolutely broke my heart. As we were talking to the sommelier about our drinks to combine with our meal, we felt pushed into taking the full 9 course wine pairing. She said that people could usually drive afterwards, because the amount is very little.

We had an amazing night. We had the best service possible, despite being not the easiest guests. The food was extraordinary. Very calm and purist, truly cooked to reach the heart and not to just show off expensive Ingredients. The Wine List aka the Bible 😍 - nothing more to say! Can’t wait to eat there again!
