This hotel will scam you, and blame it on others.
We specifically chose this hotel because of 24 hour security, and because we could check in at wee hours (we landed in Delhi at 3AM after 24H+ of travel)
We were told by the hotel, after calling the number they provided, that the road was not accessible (due to high security because of recent terror attack- that makes sense)
However, instead of working with us to get us there, at 330 AM, they told us “just go to the travel office and we’ll pick you up”
Again, this was not some scam phone number I was talking to- this was the listed phone number on the reservation for security and late check in.
So I ask the reasonable follow up question: “when can you pick us up?” And they can’t give me a time. So now I’m in a completely foreign city, at 330 AM, police checkpoints everywhere, and I can’t get into my hotel that I specifically chose because they’d be ready to check me in at 3AM.
In the morning they have the audacity to tell me that someone ELSE is trying to scam me, like my cab driver. As if I didn’t personally call the number. Then they spend the entire next day calling my phone number and telling me it’s my fault, even after I made it clear I want a refund and not to be contacted, they still kept calling me.
Then came the emails. They deny all wrongdoing.
Don’t get scammed by this establishment- had to go to my credit card people to cancel the charge. Huge hassle.
As a first time India traveler you might say getting scammed is part of the experience- but continuing to tell me that it was someone else, and still trying to get me to stay in the room (which can’t be accessed at certain times when road is closed with checkpoint!!!!!) is patently insane.
Don’t book here. There’s so many other hotels in Delhi
