On the Grid : Sacred Sweat Yoga

"Sacred Thread started in Old Fourth Ward, and the East Atlanta outpost offers the same classes—beginner flow, bhakti flow, vinyasa, yin, and morning sunrise—and adheres to the same philosophy as its older sibling: namely that “sacredness” is implied, never imposed. While urban, Sacred Thread occupies a warm and light-filled space that encourages all participants to breathe easy. Grounded in aspects of yoga tradition including pranayama, meditation, occasional chanting (bhakti), and elements of discipline, Sacred Sweat challenges yogis to go beyond their concept of normal and the limitations of the mind." - Treebird Branding

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for this studio. The space is so inviting, clean, and comfortable, and I always feel at ease when I come to practice yoga. The teachers are all incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, and I have learned so much from them. Thank you for creating such a wonderful environment for yoga practice. I am grateful to be a part of the Sacred Thread Yoga Studio community.

I love love love this studio! The instructors are fantastic and hands-on without calling you out, the practice challenges you without being too much, and the spot is so convenient! Love the community classes they do, as it makes keeping a consistent practice within budget. I took my first hot yoga class here, and it quickly became one of my favorite workouts. Love this place so much!

Super proud of my Stepdaughter today. She has done restorative yoga and nailed her first hot yoga class and is asking for more. Proud to see her taking time in life to have inter reflection, find calmness in herself while building her practice. Thank you Sacred Fire! Big thanks to Stephanie and Kat for holding space for us today and for being outstanding teachers on so many levels. I highly recommend this studio for advanced all the way to beginners. It is the best!

It's really all I want in a yoga studio. They have multiples classes a day that I can book last minute. The heated room with brick walls and bamboo floor is perfect. The instructors are really good. Parking seems to work out even though it's confusing at first how to get to the back lot and entrance. Classes have a balance structure that an overweight wanna be yogi like me can get a workout but not get discouraged.

I take lessons here and I could not have a more positive opinion. The space is clean, comfortable, and inviting. The owner/teacher is skilled, thoughtful, and friendly. It's a wonderful experience.

I like this studio because it's close but trying to find a class package that fits my needs is hard because the bigger the class package the sooner the expiration. This provides little flexibility in how I use the classes. The quality of the classes are good, but rarely have I had any of their teachers do adjustments. I think adjustments should be a regular part of class to help with form or moving deeper in a pose. It's one of the benefits of a teacher guided class as opposed to doing it at home. Overall good studio but room for improvement.

I've been to five different studios, but by far the best instructor is Annelise at this studio. She makes you feel comfortable, explains positions and the reasons for doing them well, and overall gives you everything you need to both relax deeply and push yourself to your limits at the same thing. I also love the small size of this studio because it helps enormously to keep you focused and allows you to ensure that you keep your form tight. I highly recommend taking classes here with Annelise.

Melissa led us through a wonderful class! I really enjoyed her cues, remarks, and playlist. It was my first time visiting the studio but I felt welcomed and included among the regulars. Thank y'all!!! JD
