Thistle Farms

We had another fabulous breakfast today at Thistle Farms. After an appointment in Nashville, we decided to have breakfast and Thistle Farms was close and is one of our favorite places. The food is amazing, service is friendly and fast, atmosphere is bright and open. Today we had the Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Avocado Toast, Country Potatoes, Cinnamon Roll, Drip Coffee, Lavender Latte and Orange Juice. Portions are generous. After we ate we went into their little gift shop, which we always do, and picked up a few things. The staff in the restaurant and shop are friendly and helpful. You gotta try this place if you've never been!

I truly believe Thistle Farms is one of the best representations of the spirit of Nashville. Great location, awesome food, amazing staff and the most impactful and compelling mission. This space has grown into such a lovely vibe…from the humans you interact with to the overall social enterprise, honestly, this spot can’t be beat. Huge shout out to Isiah who took care of us all morning and into the lunch hour! I got the earl grey tea service with the egg stack, extra sriracha!

Always a pleasant experience and delicious food! Obviously love supporting the mission and women, but I of course come back for the food! I love the sandwiches and harvest bowl. And the lavender latte is my go-to!

Thistle Farms is a beautiful place with a soothing ambience! You can purchase items such as candles, t-shirts, lotions, body wash etc. It's also perfect for brunch or any meal at any time of day, for that matter. What makes this even better is that it's a nonprofit for women who are survivors of abuse etc...The physical space is also very clean and pristine!

What an amazing concept. The people working here are some of the kindest people I've met. The contrast between the down to earth employees and seemingly "upper class" clientele was interesting. We came at lunch time on a weekday, which maybe account for all the business suits and pretentious states, but we felt so welcome by the staff. I love this message and what this place is doing for the community. Simple food made well. Lemonade was perfect on a hot day!

Right on Charlotte Ave, this purple building will catch your eye as a trendy shop and cafe. Prices are reasonable, especially for the high quality, and the proceeds support a good cause. Come for a casual bite or coffee or for a full afternoon tea presentation. Everything I've tasted has been fantastic, and specials are written daily on a long sheet of brown paper. While you order at the counter and grab your own water, you can expect an employee to bring you your food and bus your table. Parking in this part of West Nashville is free. The Cafe borders Sylvan Park & The Nations neighborhoods.

I love the founder story--mission based, business concept, & design of the place. It was great to see a building showcasing a vision I've had for a dream business of mine. Seasonal Potato soup texture like pudding ew & lemony meh. Philly cheesesteak is made with chicken --dry & notso flavorful. Chip brand was too salty but Turkey Bacon Avocado was great. The potato soup was too tangy from seems a lemon juice, and the texture was like pudding I didn't like that at all. My sandwich was good & communitea was nice with the cinnamon hint. Sorry to callout race but the only Asian in the cafe was our waitress and she had the biggest, bright personality when she brought our food. Made us perk up! Whoever she is, keep her on staff...for more than diversity sake. She has energy that matches the mission of this business. Great coworking space some folks were on laptops & I believe they have WiFi. Go, enjoy!

This is hands down one of my favorite brunch spots in Nashville! I visited with my mom on a Saturday morning, and after browsing the shop, we headed to the café for our meal. The menu made it hard to choose because everything sounded so good. I ended up choosing the Farmhouse Breakfast Bowl, which included eggs, potatoes, spinach, avocado, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Every component was perfect, and I enjoyed trying to create the perfect bite with a little of each ingredient. It was an amazing dish. My mom opted for the Egg Stack, which was equally tasty, featuring crispy toast, fresh greens, and tangy pesto. In addition to the food being incredible, everything we ordered was reasonably priced, and the café's amazing mission makes it an even more special place to visit. I can't imagine a better spot for brunch, and I can't wait to come back!

Cute cafe with good food and raises money for a great cause. Portions are reasonable and not excessive.

What a wonderful place for food and shopping. Plus, everything goes to a great cause. The cafe food is wonderful and service is great. Quaint setting but many available tables both inside and out. Comfortable setting too. After lunch you can enjoy a trip through the gift shop to check out wonderful gift items for you or a friend. Plenty of available parking behind the building at no additional cost. Definitely plan to visit again, not sure what took me so long to visit to start with.

I was pleasantly impressed with the relaxed and spa like feel of this cafe. You can tell the owners took great care in decorating and designing the place to provide an environment of peace, safety, and comfort. The food was healthy and delicious. 9/10 for the chicken salad croissant sandwich 9/10 for the very pretty avocado toast 8.5/10 for the vegetable frittata 8/10 for the avocado breakfast sandwich We both enjoyed the iced blackberry Cuban espresso. It's great that they support women who are getting back on their feet. This is a must visit in Nashville.

The Cafe at Thistle Farms is the cutest cafe and gift shop. I absolutely love the concept of Thistle Farms helping and giving survivors of human trafficking, prostitution, and substance abuse a second chance! I also love that the procceds help fund the program! Not only is the place super cute, it has a cozy friendly environment. The service is wonderful and the staff very personable. As far as the menu the have a variety of coffees, teas, and pastries along with your typical cafe menu items. I highly recommend this cafe, you will not be disappointed.

Thistle Farms is such a darling cafe and gift shop in Nashville! We stopped in for brunch and I was impressed with their wide selection of unique drinks and food options. The pricing was very fair and proceeds support programs to help victims of human trafficking get back on their feet. Service was wonderful here. Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. One of the staff members saw me taking a selfie with my friend and he offered to take our photo for us. It was a little gesture that meant a lot! The entire place was cozy and spotless - down to the sparkling bathrooms stocked with soap and lotion samples. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Nashville!

What's not to love about this place? Love what it stands for, love the food ! Everything is made, and made with love. Homemade quiche with broccoli cheddar soup delicious! Beautiful coffee bar, different tees. Lemonade is wonderful.

This is a great space and place for food. Love their mission. When you step inside you'll notice the great ambiance and love the photographs. This was our first visit and the place was slammed with lunch goers-parking can be a bit of a challenge but we found a spot behind the building next to the access road. My lady is gluten free so we're always questing for good eats that fit her needs-Thistle Farms answered that call and more. We both ordered the Turkey sandwich, I got chips, she paired it with soup-which she loved. I need to say, this was one of the best turkey sandwiches I've ever had-and I've had so many of them. The meat was moist, the bread right, the toppings added layers of flavor that made me sad when the last bite was taken. The homemade bread and butter pickles were a great highlight, just enough seasoning and flavor-not over powering. After lunch we stopped by the gift shop, we picked up a book and I purchased a wallet (card holder) made from some folks who are pursuing better futures. They have some great gifts for all-you'll want to check those out. Before you leave be sure to read the stories and see all the pictures that line the hallway-you'll be inspired, be glad you stopped in and also realize that Love Heals.

This place is adorable. I loved the decor. There were people working in the cafe just working, enjoying the view and eating. The service was very polite and swift. The line was long but my food came to the table in about 5 mins. There is parking in the rear. It was crowded though bc I went at lunch time so I suggest early arrival just in case the (fast moving ) line isn't fast enough. So many nooks and crannies in this place to explore. My food was delicious. I will 100% come back!!

This is such a wholesome, warm cafe with the nicest staff ever. I was trying to drag over a baby Hugh chair with one hand, and a server refused to let me do it by myself and insisted to help. She cleared a table immediately for us that was much larger than the table I saw was empty and went out of her way to be gracious, The food was delicious, and you can tell they use real butter, sugar and salt because everything tastes rich and decadent. I recommend the brunch options primarily, and I would pair it with one of their many delicious coffee options. I believe I got a latte, and they served it to me in a generous mug. The seating feels a bit like modern farmhouse, and there's a lovely shop next door selling home goods and store-branded soaps. Parking is a gravel lot in the back!

Very delicious, I'm definitely coming again!! We got the BBQ sandwich so good it came with a side we got pasta salad very yummy! I got a cappuccino delicious, got Jasmin mint tea very good flavor but wish it was sweeter! service, very good the lady at the counter was super sweet and had a big smile so friendly! The vibe, so so cute I loved the little tea cup collection hanging as you walk in!

Lovely cafe that's easy to spend a while in. I really appreciated the comfy seating that's getting pretty rare. The coffee drinks were a bit pricey but I'm glad to know it's going towards a good cause. Plenty of free parking around the back. The staff members who took my order and served me were both very warm and attentive.

The Egg Stack was delicious! I would like to try one of their Signature Drinks the next time.

I love the mission behind this place! (Look them up online!) The atmosphere is extremely appealing... With a beautiful gift shop and lovely dining area. It's a little tricky to get in and out of the parking area. (But that's Nashville) I had a grilled cheese ... that was a solid C+. It was no better or worse than something I would make at home. But, I would go again, simply to support their mission and browse the gift shop. AND I wish I'd gotten a coffee after watching all the lovely drinks go by my table. It looks like I missed out. The service is great... With very friendly, accommodating wait staff.

Food is always good. Service is great. Can get very busy on the weekends. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Cozy vibes.

This is the sweetest cafe in the west Nashville area! All of the proceeds go to supporting women who have been affected by human trafficking to get back on Thier feet. The women survivors run the cafe and make every thing themselves Including the gift shop items. They have wonderful food and a charming atmosphere, and friendly service of course! The lotions and the beauty products are all natural and have essential oils such as lavender in them so if your skin is sensitive they smell lovely and are perfect ! Such a good gift item as well. If this cafe were just a cafe with no back story, it would still be marvelous. However, why not go and show your support and make your meal matter? Highly recommend!

AMAZING!!!! There is plenty of parking, and bathrooms inside. Amazing facility! Portions of your purchase all go toward helping Women survivors of trafficking and addiction. Everyone is happy here, and extremely helpful! Just lovely. You are happy by just being in there! The positivity is contagious! There is a store attached with super cute stuff everywhere. Lots of seating, and outdoor seating available. We got the Turkey bacon sandwich, steak sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. I also got the harvest bowl with a scoop of chicken salad (because I love chicken salad!) **Gluten free bread and other options available! Sometimes they say gluten free and they mean a salad but this one has gluten free bread choices for the sandwiches too. Not sure what brand GF though. The Brie grilled cheese sounded amazing. They were all amazing sandwiches and my harvest bowl was delicious! I love goat cheese sweet potato and Brussel sprouts so I was very happy. Only thing to report was the pesto pasta (not GF) was not a winner. My parents said it lacked flavor. They didn't end up eating after a bite. BUT I love this place so much I would say get their delicious side salad with goat cheese! Or their other many side options. All items came with home made pickles! Amazing place, love the mission and the vibe. Great food too!

I came in to get coffee. The location is nicely done and has a store connected to it where they sell some lovely items. They also serve food and have a sit-down service. I was not impressed by the coffee. I ordered a decaf Americano - two or three shots of decaf expresso with hot water. They did at least one too few shots, so it was watery and weak. I cannot speak to the food since we did not try it, but from the menu, I did not see anything gluten-free.

Not only is this an amazing cafe it's an amazing cause. The food and coffee here is so good but the staff is also so friendly and helpful. I love looking around the small store attached to the cafe at all of the items for sale. This is such a good place if you want to feel like your money is going to change a life after buying your meal. Highly recommend.

This place is consistently good with great service and fresh food. Normally I get breakfast here (the quiche with a side of fruit is my favorite) but today I went for lunch. Their coffee and specialty drinks are really good. This time I got the lemonade which I did not like and to date is the only thing from here I have gotten that I have not liked. Their bacon is amazing and therefore the BLT is great. It is a good place to get food with friends, and it also is a good place to go and get some work done (coffeeshop vibes with good food).

Absolutely loved this service. Affordable, filling, gorgeous ambiance, and unique. You choose from several different teas and get to have one round first and then another later on. You have a server who brings you the tea, treats, and talks to you about Thistle Farms' mission. At first, the food seemed like it wouldn't be enough but by the time we were done we were shoving the last cookie in our mouths to not miss out. Delicious chicken salad sandwiches, dill spread on rye (or something similar), mini mushroom quiches, scones, and desserts. Honestly everything was so tasty, and I've recommended it to everyone I know since I've been here. It was an excellent idea for my visitor, my grandma. It's $28 - incredibly affordable compared to the other few spots in town and this one does it best. I want to go back for coffee and lunch or to work because the space is beautiful and the normal menu was mouth watering. Support this local cause & business!

I applaud the support of women that have been abused and/or trafficked. My husband and I visited on a recommendation in the 100 Things to do in Nashville before you die book. In the book it said "Dine well and do good". I was not impressed with the food and the service was adequate, not impressive. Too bad, it could be more than just a 'I feel good for helping abused women' place.

INcredible. Their food is always SO fresh and delicious. Delicious and elegant without being pompous. Great portions. You can tell everything is made with care and love. Staff has always been kind, pleasant, helpful. Clean, bright, welcoming atmosphere. AND all this supporting a great cause. I love this place.

I'm a big fan of Thistle Farms- both their mission and their food. This is a cafe for tea lovers- I got the genmaicha and it was brewed perfectly and served in bone China. My sister and I split a turkey avocado sandwich on gf bread and the winter citrus buratta salad. Both were so fresh and delicious, with beautiful presentation. Our server was attentive and kind, doing a great job refilling tea!

I didn't know what to expect for their Harvest salad but WOW! The Brussels, arugula, cranberries, goat cheese and (butternut squash?) was a combination I didn't even know I need in my life. It was so delicious and light but also very filling, I could barely finish it. Will definitely be trying more things on their menu.

A bit difficult to find a parking spot but they serve a delicious gluten free avocado toast here! They were very busy when I got there. It was a challenge to find a table as well. Golden milk latte was way too sweet. I was unable to finish it.

For Christmas, I gifted my mom an afternoon tea at Thistle Farms, and we loved the experience! From the food itself to the decor to the service, it was a wonderful afternoon. In the tea/coffee debate, I'll choose tea every time, so I was excited to see their wide variety of tea choices offered. Not only were our drinks wonderful, but the food was a amazing. The tea comes with a set menu of chicken salad sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, scones, quiches, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and tarts. We will definitely be back to try their main menu!

Ordered their special for the day which was Sausage gravy and biscuits Some lady walked in and county decide where she wanted to walk. She backtracked 3 times in 14 seconds, she might actually be blind. Never mind, she can definitely see. Real funky bunch around here and I'm not talkin' Marky Mark. The Service was straight forward and to the point. The food was mediocre at best. The sausage patties were only cooked on one side, the eggs were rubbery and the gravy tasted old. Chocolate cookie was kinda mid honestly These are Biscuits N' Gravy for people who move to Nashville and tell all of their friends that they eat biscuits and gravy. Which is weird because Nashville has good biscuits and gravy, like it's not a rare dish here.

I am delighted to see the expansion of the store to the cafe. I supported Thistle Farms years ago and love that they have really gained local support and recognition. Their work is making a difference and I am glad that they have a quaint cafe to serve the Nashville community. I stopped in to purchase some gifts at the store and was glad to pop over to the cafe for a treat. I purchased a latte and lemon bar to go. The place was busy as it was right around lunchtime but I received my order promptly. The cafe is decorated in a very calming style and I would love to host an event in their meeting space. The parking was a little confusing for a first time visitor but when I was leaving someone else was asking where the store and cafe were located. I was able to point them in the right direction and was glad that I was not the only one who had some challenges in finding the entrance. Will visit again when I'm in the area.

This is a great spot for a chill lunch/brunch. The decor is super cute with both indoor and outdoor sitting options. Atmosphere: very chill and casual Drinks: the honey lavender latte is a must! Loved it Service: the only reason I'm giving this place three stars. Maybe we came on a bad day but our server was not friendly haha. She argued with us when we told her what we served wasn't our order (iced coffee when we both ordered hot lattes) besides that it was a good brunch

Most amazing little cafe!! And the cause that their business supports is even more incredible! My mom and so went for the strawberry cake that was absolutely delicious and the pot pies that were just perfect in every aspect. We loved the service as well; phenomenal humans with beautiful smiles and a helpful attitude. The tea cups on the ceiling were so cute!! We loved this place!!

Café at Thistle Farms is a delightful find. Enjoyed a lunch of Turkey Bacon Avocado and Triple Decker Club sandwich with side cup of Corn Chowder soup. Generous portion on multi-grain bread. Tasty. Fresh. Nice presentation. And a worthy cause supporting women in need. Outside is unassuming, and inside is bright, modern and clean. Early-afternoon, noticed many people were hanging out with their laptops and Thistle Farms' tea. Ordering is a queue to the cash register, and meals are delivered to your table. A single cash register, so patience is required. Private parking lot out back. Outdoor seating available. Suitable for groups. And a shop in the front. Open daily until 3 pm, and closed Sunday.

One of my favorite places to go in Nashville. The people are so friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. Great job Thistle Farms!

This is a must come to spot!!! If you love great food and a happy vibe then this is a spot to check out!!! Great energy and atmosphere here! Fantastic shop and comfy cafe! The staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming. Our breakfast was outstanding. The avocado toast alone would bring me back to Nashville; it was on a delicious and hearty wheat toast with perfectly pickled onions and my added on egg was cooked to perfection.

Amazing place - the food was incredible, especially the quiches. Service was top notch, coffees were perfectly made and the setting bright and welcoming. Make sure you take time to explore the gift shop. There are a lot of great finds including hostess gifts, bridesmaids gifts and yes, gifts for the groomsmen.

I love going to the cafe at thistle farms! Everything is always delicious even their coffee is a must have!

The cafe embedded in a small complex with a shop and event space is quite modern looking inside, and has a back deck as well. There was a line, and it moved remarkably slowly. However, when I eventually received my peppermint matcha and avocado toast, they were as tasty (and as green) as one could hope for. The toast had a spinach-avocado spread as well as avocado on top, with a variety of accompaniments including sprouts, pickled onions, and a couple of bits of fruit, which really made the flavor pop. The matcha was a very smooth flavor, livened up but not overshadowed by the peppermint. Beyond the hip, pricey brunch fair, the place is a charity or social mission kind of a business, and healing for "women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction" is the theme. Indeed, this is one of those places that is claiming to employ people in those situations, which did not quite register to me while I was in the shop but is nonetheless an important cause. The question is, then, why women specifically, but it's a free market and they can pick the mission they want for their business. I'm fine with it. And if someone opens up a business of similar quality for men or anyone struggling with these sorts of issues, I'll go there too.

Great option for fresh, consistent lunch. Bright, clean atmosphere, it's for a good cause, and has great cookies and sandwiches! My favorite side is either the soup special or pesto pasta salad. The Arnold Palmer is yummy. I eat here about once a month.

Love them & their food. Besides, they help women off the streets! I wish all businesses would find a good cause in their communities

Afternoon tea at Thistle farms was a delight. I enjoyed this experience with two girlfriends. We were presented with a selection of tea options to choose a pot for the table then came three tiers of savory and sweet items to nibble upon. The choices contained your classics: egg salad sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam. Plus some unique additions like an open face tomato sandwich and homemade baked goods. Multiple items were fully homemade and all tasted delicious. While we were sitting on the cafe, I also spied other items heading out of the kitchen. Wow. I want to head back and try more. Attached to the cafe is a gift shop with soaps, candles, and other products made by Thistle Farms. All purchases support the non-profit which helps women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. I walked away with a delightful smelling candle and some bath salts.

Not only is the food delightful, but they have a beautiful mission. They are a nonprofit social enterprise helping heal, restore, and employ women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction.

I'm torn on my review but here we go: I optimistically booked high tea here after months of searching (seriously how are there not more options being in the south!). The cost was rather high but the description and reviews seemed worth it. The cafe is a large, busy place but we were placed a little away from all the chatter. Because this is a order-at-the-counter type of place, the serving situation is a bit odd for high tea. We had a server come over to get our tea order and drop off the food. When we asked if we could order more (we were far too hungry) we were told we'd have to pay at the counter. In the end we opted out of more because.... It was all underwhelming. The food offering were......ugh. Mini cold croissants with chicken salad, cold mushroom quiche, tiny bite of cucumber sandwich, a bland and cold biscuit, spicy???? Brownies, cookie.... It was all stale and cold. The only thing that was remotely fresh and tasted decent was the fruit tart. Again, you only get 2 small offerings of each. For the price of $75 we received about $10 worth of food, approx 4 cups of small tea, and no service. Combine that with a not so intimate setting and I really struggled to justify the cost of our visit. The workers are lovely and this place appears to be a very popular lunch location. I personally think they should bow out of a tea service unless they want to take it seriously. Good quality food, quiet room, and a server.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and saw the long line, however it moved quickly and we were able to get a seat without any problems. There's a parking lot located next to the restaurant. The decor was clean, modern and very comfy. There's also a very quaint gift shop attached to the restaurant that sells, candles, handmade items that all go to an amazing cause. The customer service was amazing. The food was delicious and made with great ingredients. I got the chicken pot pie my MIL got the chicken sandwich. We both got the soup of the day which was a delicious tomato soup. The make great latte's here. I got the London fog that taste amazing. Overall, great restaurant with good food great customer service.

Looking for a breakfast/brunch spot, we happened upon this gem. The website offered a great overview of their wonderful mission. Called at 7 a.m. to see if our group of 7 could make reservations. The lady that answered was super nice but informed me it was first come first serve but provided a timeframe that would be most accommodating. Our group arrive and loved the exterior & interior of the building. No long line to order but I grab a table to seat our group with the help of the staff. The menu options were great. I ordered a dine-in breakfast option the Farmhouse Breakfast Bowl...thank you for the thick-sliced bacon!!! Fried perfectly!! and a Roasted Chicken & apple wrap to go for the ride home. All in our party were pleased with their food options. The lemonade was not good at all & Lavender Latte was plain. My golden milk beverage was delicious! Still giving a perfect rating because every single staff we encountered (dining and shop areas) was nice & helpful. Very service-oriented!
