2nd time at this establishment. First time was a great experience. This time, service was absolutely disappointing. Asked the girl if it was open seating, and yes was the response. Bar was not at all busy. 2 people at bar, family at another table, then there's the 3 in my party. Bartender/server took forever to welcome us, and she didn't provide menus or even ask if we wanted to order food. Didn't offer water either. Drink order was a long awaited delivery. Food order placed, but waited a very long time for it to be served. She never came to our table to provide status of food, or even ask if we wanted more drinks. She needs more training, that's for sure. We still left a gracious 20%+ in tip, even though she really didn't provide efficient services to earn it. You want to make better tips? Take care of people so that you have return customers.

Everything was great, food was awesome, and our waitress Cara, was phenomenal. Highly recommend

Bartender/waiter/host was very attentive and had good recommendations. Had the Shepherd's pie and was delicious. There is some tasty seasoning baked in there. Only wish is that they gave you a simple basket of chips or something with the pies. The pub has a cool interior.

My friend and I visited Thomas Murphy’s for lunch yesterday and had a fantastic experience. The bartender working was very attentive and the chef greeted us personally. The chef recommended a number of menu items, one being the meat loaf melt and another being the OG Chicken Sandwich. We both decided to go with the OG Chicken Sandwich and it did not disappoint ! We also sampled the Apple Gorgonzola soup and buffalo chicken bites and both were delicious. We will be back!!

Nice little neighborhood pub that offers plenty of beer and mixed drink options as well as non alcoholic beverages. The food is awesome. They have a small but Solid food menu that is very reasonably priced and tasty. Excellent wings, French Onion Soup and house made fried mozzarella.

I just happen to live across the street from. T his gem. I'm new in town and needed a local watering hole to call home. This place is perfect! Great food. Great people.. Good music. Well lit. Lots to do beside driving and the staff is great. My bartender Owen made me feel extremely welcomed and made a definite returning customer out of me. I shall return.. OFTEN.. long live Thomas Murphy's Pub!

Visited late on a Sunday. There was music and every other song was good. It sounded like the guy playing bass in the beginning was just trying to learn the bass line but he was very loud and it was shaking the bar. The building inside is really beautiful and bright. The riff raff was an interesting mix.... But the food??? The food was absolutely perfect bar food. The loaded tots. Mmmmmm The sweet potato fries? Top 3 I've ever had. The Buffalo chicken cheesesteak was real good. Idk what the hell is going on at this place, but I do know the food is real good. Hole in the wall, but its nice inside and the food is a diamond in the rough.

We decided to try out this little gem in Gloucester City today......PHENOMENAL!!! The appetizers were amazing...we tried a bit of everything the avocado crisps was lite flavorful and delicious. We had the OG chicken sammies and they were juicy and delicious and the portions are HUGE. The service was attentive and friendly. A big shout out to our server Chelsea. She was awesome. We will definitely be back to try out the renowned fried chicken. This place is a great spot to go.

I went to this place a few times before the Coronavirus shutdown, and it was nice, but the owners renovated it and now it's absolutely AMAZING. The staff was really nice and all COVID-19 protocols were well managed, and my wife and son and I really loved the food. We shared two great salads, delectable mac-n-cheese, a huge bacon cheeseburger and an order of "Big Rube's" fried chicken. Everything tasted delicious, and my wife and I each enjoyed a few Guinness Stouts with our meal. We can't wait to return as soon as we are able!

Great beer and crayons. Got the lamb steak which was very good. Also lots of TVs to catch every game.

After reading this place had Big Rube's chicken, I had to come back and give it a try. I hadn't been here since it was called something else a few years back. The sandwich was good, but I expected different. I really enjoyed the Baby Mama Sauce though. My daughter had buffalo wings (mild) and they were really good. Even though mild, they had a decent kick to them. As an appetizer, we had pretzel bites. They were great! What really made this experience was the waitress (Cassandra?). She was very attentive and friendly. We had a few laughs as I was able to read her face from across the room when she saw the wrong order coming to our table. She immediately apologized, but it wasn't anyone's fault. No big deal. Someone at another table complained about the ranch dressing for the wings not tasting right so she brought us a new one for my daughter's wings. (There was nothing wrong with the first one though). I have to say, the place looks very nice inside. Menu is a little small, but overall, everything was good!

Really great place! Came to get food. Beers are cheap. Service is excellent. My bartender Phil was a cool guy and had great customer. Will definitely be frequently coming to place.

Server was over the top drunk and was obnoxious/incoherent from any of my order. Idc if people at places have fun while they work, but don't get to the point where my order is wrong multiple times, forgot half of what i asked for, and then screamed at by what i assume was the kitchen manager for getting annoyed. Place is very well put together, fun upstairs and beautiful downstairs, as well as a nice atmosphere. For sure not going back after being treated rudely. But they forgot to charge me for at least 3/4ths of my order. So in the end, my headaches on them anyways.

I am so glad to hear that this place is still open after Covid. I used to be a regular there before the pandemic.They have nice cold beers on tap and they have a nice local and craft selection ! Their good menu has good appetizers and entrees to select from , my favorite is the wings . YUM! Their pleasant staff tops it all off with your experience here at Thomas Murphy's.

This is a cool local bar!! The actual bar is rather nice. The overall setup has booths and tables Comfortable and roomy! Nice selection of beer and spirits Menu is typical bar food but done well Service swift and friendly There is music here several nights a week with an open mic on tuesdays

A classy place for cocktails and delectable bar-food. They have a nice selection of local brews and great live music, including a lively Tuesday-night open mic night. Upstairs features a sports bar, a jumbo Jenga set, fussball and table hockey!

Excellent spot for a pint of Guinness, a bite to eat, and to watch the game. The staff is friendly and attentive. The upstairs has a great game area. It's cozy and inviting. A great place to spend a Saturday.

As a proud Gloucester City resident for the past 16 years, this place is pretty underachieving. The food---EXCELLENT. Me and friends came here for the eagles game all you can eat wings (bone in or boneless) for $10. The service was extremely slow. There wasn't even that many people there for the game and we bartenders coming over to us doing waitresses jobs getting us wings. They came over to our table literally a total of three times during the entirety of an NFL game. We went there for all you can eat wings, don't come out with a small plate every hour and a half. They also put on Facebook that if you "walk in the door" you're entered to win this eagles jersey at halftime. They handed raffle tickets out to everyone EXCEPT me and my friends (under 21). Nothing on the Facebook posts specified that you had to buy a drink they said if you walk in you'll be entered. Honestly whoever the owner is I hope you see this and consider making changes. You could be the best bar in Gloucester if you take care of your customers with better service and welcoming. I need a place to watch sports and eat and instead of having some potential repeat customers little stuff turns us away. Really though the boneless wings were exceptional. Place just packed.

Food and service here was excellent. Best selection of beer and whiskeys around. Plenty if Tv's and lots of live entertainment.

The food here is delicious! The Philly Special cheesesteak is the best I've ever had, perfectly seasoned REAL steak! The waiter was nice and everything came out pretty quick. Came here for an eagles game and they had a raffle at halftime for a jersey. Definitely recommend!!!

loud Loud LOUD!!! Came here to check it out since I am new to the area. I could hear the noise before I even opened the door!. It's 3:15 on a Sunday afternoon, a group of friends seated at the bar were actually screaming to be heard by one another. Bartender was friendly and efficient, that was the highlight. A bunch of underage kids sitting at the high tops. Just not my type of atmosphere. Couldn't wait to leave. Had to do a ONE AND RUN!!!
