Stepping into the online world of Three Boys Brewery, the Four the Ages Imperial Oyster Stout already feels like a bit of an occasion, wrapped in awards and big promises for serious stout lovers. Your cask arrives swaddled in layers of tape, more fortress than gift box, and what should be a quick wrap turns into an hour of careful work with a hairdryer to rescue the packaging. For a present, the sturdy protection is reassuring, but the box is left too battle-scarred to look special, which is a shame given how celebrated their oyster stout is among beer fans. A simple stretch-wrap or easily removable label would keep things gift-ready while still safe in transit, and that small touch would match the thoughtfulness already poured into the beer itself.
Update:
I wanted to update my review to thank Damian from Three Boys Brewery for promptly and thoughtfully resolving my earlier issue. He went above and beyond by sending a replacement set with great packaging. This experience has given me confidence in ordering from Three Boys Brewery again, knowing they truly value their customers.
