Three Darlings - Review - London - The Infatuation

"There isn't an empty building in London that's safe from Jason Atherton. Some people collect stamps, this chef collects restaurants. We've written about the openings of Mary's, Sael, and Hot Dogs By Three Darlings over the previous months. Now it’s the turn of this all-day bistro in Chelsea. Expect oysters, flatbreads, and a three-course express lunch for £34 including croissant milk soft serve with beef fat caramel. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

A gorgeous new opening in Chelsea and a truly amazing experience. We went for dinner last night and had the absolute best time, it’s got one of the best counter seating we’ve ever experienced- the chefs were so lovely and warm and interactive with us. We especially loved chatting with Casper and Jake. The food was exceptional; so much so we’re planning going back already to try brunch. All the staff were so lovely, so attentive and so welcoming. What a new gem for Chelsea.

Everything about the Three darlings was incredible, from the moment we entered to the moment we left. The restaurant it’s self is decorated to the highest of standards and the little outdoor heated courtyard is a real bonus. The staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing seemed too much trouble. We were seated by the open kitchen and it was great watching the chefs cook our incredible dinner. We had a mixture of starters to share between the 4 of us and can highly recommend the octopus, flatbreads, char siu shorthorn beef ribs. We had 2 roast beef dinners and 2 rack of lamb cutlets for our mains, it was absolutely no problem for them to change the lamb cutlets into a roast dinner and a side of the best cauliflower cheese I think I’ve ever tasted. For dessert we had the Beard a butter pudding and the croissant soft serve, with caramel sauce. We will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone for making our visit perfect. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful casual restaurant, with innovative design details. Cozy, relaxing and professional atmosphere. The service was exceptional. Davide has been attentive and helpful since our arrival. He suggested and guide us to order what was the best for our palate, asking precise questions and understanding our taste. My friend is vegetarian and she was so excited about her dishes. In fact, they offer an extensive vegetarian options which were delicious and creative (not boring as usual they are🫣). The octopus was spectacular and the pork was perfect in texture and flavour. Vegetable super tasty. Just spot on! Highly recommend...

Unfortunately second terrible experience at the restaurant. Service is almost non existent, we ordered a dish that never arrived, the waiters are inattentive and some have even a way of speaking that is rude. A few of the dishes we ordered were bland and the octopus and grilled cabbage came cold. We specified that all dishes are being shared yet we had to beg for serving cutlery every time a dish was placed in the table. We were sat closer to the kitchen, we left with a headache from all the noises surging from the open kitchen, from the staff/chefs (who have long hair and were not wearing a hairnet) and utensils. Never again!

We had a really, really decent lunch here - great location and a brand new restaurant that features a large space and open kitchens / bars. The dishes we had were really lovely, well balanced and decent in terms of portion size. Standouts for me were the beef short ribs, the tartar and the sage and leek ravioli. The cacklebean egg was something unusual, I mistook it for a scotch egg at first - an innovative take on a classic. The only dish that didn’t seem up my alley was the lamb belly; whilst I’m typically a lamb belly enthusiast, this did seem a bit overly fatty and chewy despite the nice flavor profile of the sauce and spices. Service is very, very friendly - it may need a tiny bit of refining here and there, then again this restaurant has only been open for about 3 weeks. All in all a lovely place to pop in for some flavorful British food with a twist.

We visited Three Darlings after a recommendation from a friend, and we thought it would be good. However, it completely blew us away. The restaurant itself is warm, welcoming, and has classy furnishings throughout. We felt well looked after the moment we walked through the door until we left. We started with two superb cocktails and went on to wine, which was very affordable. The real highlight, though, was the food. The menu has been carefully thought out with each dish having its own identity with many flavour combinations I've not seen before. The Octopus, Scallops, Ravioli, Flatbreads, Beetroot Burrata, Roast Beef, and Croissant Caramel Softserve Ice Cream were all big hits. It was easily one of the best roast beef dinners I've ever had! Everything was resonably priced considering the restraunt being off Sloane Square and the quality of all the ingredients being served. The running theme was top tier, quality food at affordable prices, and attentive service; we can't wait to visit again.

A long time Jason Atherton fan I was excited to be able to come along for lunch on the third and final day of the soft launch for three darlings and it was an absolute delight. The location is stunning, with plentiful outside seating - inside does not disappoint either. The seating looking over the kitchen was the perfect spot for mum and I - and even more perfect considering we brought the dog along - did I mention they are dog friendly too?! We had a variety of their small plates followed by the wagyu sausage roll, with mash and gravy, and dessert of croissant soft serve ice cream and baked Alaska and everything was outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive and we couldn’t have asked for more. A great addition to Jason’s portfolio of restaurants, a welcome addition to the area I have no doubt three darlings will be a complete success.

Went to Three Darlings on opening night - I was in for a treat. The restaurant is a little tricky to find as it is nestled on a pedestrian walk way behind Sloane Street but the staff were friendly, the food was superb (particularly the octopus) and the restaurant has a lively, upscale Chelsea vibe to it. Jason himself made an appearance and stopped for a chat which was nice. All in all, a lovely evening. Would go again
