Three Darlings - Review - London - The Infatuation

"There isn't an empty building in London that's safe from Jason Atherton. Some people collect stamps, this chef collects restaurants. We've written about the openings of Mary's, Sael, and Hot Dogs By Three Darlings over the previous months. Now it’s the turn of this all-day bistro in Chelsea. Expect oysters, flatbreads, and a three-course express lunch for £34 including croissant milk soft serve with beef fat caramel. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Three Darlings, a neighbourhood bistro on Chelsea's Pavilion Road is a celebration of @_jasonatherton and @irhaatherton three daughters. It is an all day operation serving everything from breakfast to late night cocktails. Casual yet elegant ambience. The design carves the restaurant into distinctive areas. The menu is divided into breads, starters and mains over a separate menu for dessert. The food was good but the desserts didn't live up to the expectations. The Caviar Soft serve was basically an ice cream with caviar! Not every culinary idea works.

Really cute spot, but the timing wasn’t great—we arrived at 10:45 on a Sunday and didn’t realise the kitchen shuts at 11 for 30 minutes (they switch from the breakfast to the brunch menu). Feels like a bit of an odd time to stop service, especially on a weekend. The later menu just has a few more things, but a lot is the same. They were clearly understaffed—staff were lovely and doing their best, but there just weren’t enough of them. We had to chase for pretty much everything (getting menus, ordering, paying). On the plus side, the courtyard is such a nice place to sit on a warm day, and the food was genuinely tasty. I had the French toast and really liked it—soft and delicious. I’d definitely go back, but I hope they get a bit more help on busy mornings!

Brought these pastries home. Omg they are so good… soft and moist inside 😍 And they look and smell so good. Haven’t really have nice pastries like these for a long time. Both presentations and taste is superb. I’m surprised not many ppl realise there is such a gem in the city ?!?! I’ll definitely visit next time!!!

Everything about the Three darlings was incredible, from the moment we entered to the moment we left. The restaurant it’s self is decorated to the highest of standards and the little outdoor heated courtyard is a real bonus. The staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing seemed too much trouble. We were seated by the open kitchen and it was great watching the chefs cook our incredible dinner. We had a mixture of starters to share between the 4 of us and can highly recommend the octopus, flatbreads, char siu shorthorn beef ribs. We had 2 roast beef dinners and 2 rack of lamb cutlets for our mains, it was absolutely no problem for them to change the lamb cutlets into a roast dinner and a side of the best cauliflower cheese I think I’ve ever tasted. For dessert we had the Beard a butter pudding and the croissant soft serve, with caramel sauce. We will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone for making our visit perfect. We will definitely be back.

We had a really, really decent lunch here - great location and a brand new restaurant that features a large space and open kitchens / bars. The dishes we had were really lovely, well balanced and decent in terms of portion size. Standouts for me were the beef short ribs, the tartar and the sage and leek ravioli. The cacklebean egg was something unusual, I mistook it for a scotch egg at first - an innovative take on a classic. The only dish that didn’t seem up my alley was the lamb belly; whilst I’m typically a lamb belly enthusiast, this did seem a bit overly fatty and chewy despite the nice flavor profile of the sauce and spices. Service is very, very friendly - it may need a tiny bit of refining here and there, then again this restaurant has only been open for about 3 weeks. All in all a lovely place to pop in for some flavorful British food with a twist.

A gorgeous new opening in Chelsea and a truly amazing experience. We went for dinner last night and had the absolute best time, it’s got one of the best counter seating we’ve ever experienced- the chefs were so lovely and warm and interactive with us. We especially loved chatting with Casper and Jake. The food was exceptional; so much so we’re planning going back already to try brunch. All the staff were so lovely, so attentive and so welcoming. What a new gem for Chelsea.

An absolute hidden gem in Chelsea, off busy Pavilion Road. I went second day in the row, because I loved the food, the staff and relaxed but chic atmosphere. Please keep up all the hard/good work up, I want it to be my go to place! Xxx
