Very delicious food. Tostadas and cocteles that rival some of the "fancier" places in LA. Homemade salsas are ridiculously good. The staff was super friendly, will definitely be back to try the Mongolian BBQ!

we had: cauliflower tostada, fish / cod taco, shrimp coctel, the sucias fries, and miches -the cauliflower tostada is delicious and I'll get that every time we go. I love all the different stuff on it. and the homemade Pina pepper salsa is really good with it but beware of the spiciness -the fish taco with the stuff on it was delicious and their tortillas are the nice thicker chewier ones that I think are better -coctel was delicious and it's a good amount of shrimp for the price. I liked that it also had a good amount of Persian cukes in it -sucias fries...so good and their homemade chorizo is really good. I also felt they didn't over power the fries with sauce. oh and they're skinny crispy fries which were cooked perfectly -the homemade miche mix they use is perfect and it's got some heat on it -we also got the pretzel churro which is basically a homemade fresh pretzel prepped like a churro and honestly I think we like it better than OG churro. the dip sauce they make is also perfect -Anthony helped us and he's awesome. we will keep bringing new friends here. ...also, he said they often have a food stand at Boardroom Brewery on Fri nights which gives us another excuse to bring after Fri work folks here Please go here and support this local place. Oh, and if you're craving Mongolian BBQ while having delicious tacos etc, they make that too.

Stopped for one place, went to another… Had a mongol apatite so I had the Mongol, maybe it had ME! All I know is it was great. People there was awesome and the atmosphere was chill. I would certainly recommend going, so should you.

I love what they've done with the place. Very cozy spot with a TV. I ordered the chicken Mongolian with the expectations of loading my own bowl with tons of veggies. Nope! There is a list of veggies that are included and you just let her know what not to include. I was little concerned about how the food would come out because the cooking technique was a little simplified compared to the previous owner. The food is still cooked on the large wood stove. It was more like cooking on a griddle technique. BUT! I must say the food was good. It did remind me of yakisoba. Had tons of flavor. Carrots were delicious and sweet. Right amount of spice. I only wish the portion size was a little bigger for the price and that they had pineapple. Recommend

I genuinely recommend you do not get the Mongolian food. The past owner was nice old lady and the new owners are focused more on their Mexican menu. No more love in the food. Looks and tastes like Yakisoba. I spent 48 dollars to receive portions that are half the size and the beef tastes cheap like some ibp stuff…

Delicious tostadas, Albacore and Cauliflower are my favorite. The burgers also hit the spot! They have TVs on the wall, so a great place to enjoy a game with a nice cold beer! Super friendly atmosphere, fast service. Oh, and the Michelada is a must try!!

Amazing food. Amazing service. Authentic atmosphere. I haven’t had Mongolian BBQ in 20 years and I’m stoked to find this local gem. How it works: You fill up your bowl all the veggies that can pile into it - Be sure to smash them down with your hands to maximize space. lol. Ask them for the recommended sauce dressings, 4 scoops of Mongolian sauce, or ask them to do it for you. Once your veggie bowl is ready, they add the protein of your choice (beef, chicken, or pork, or a mix of them), the noodles, and cook it for you. It’s a massive serving. Highly recommend the Shao Bing bread with your meal. They do serve alcohol, no vegan or gluten free options. 2 meals + 2 water bottles + 2 large buns = $48, a great deal!

Fish tacos are amazing and the papas sucio is a must try. Definitely need to try other things on the menu.

I have been coming to this restaurant since 2007. Yes it's under new ownership but the original noodle dish still is made . In addition new items have been added like seafood tacos and tostadas . You can come alone or with a group and mix and match dishes and enjoy your dining experience. Because that is in fact what has been created an experience you will all love . I will continue to support and look forward to trying all of the new dishes. Thank you for the welcoming service.

Patrons since 1995! Owners know 4 generations of my family. Location has not changed. The ambience is all the same, including the huge reversed wok your food is cooked on, and very well seasoned. You choose your veggies, your proteins, noodles, sauces. Plenty of delicious choices. It's a place that is very family oriented as well. The food is delicious!!! The warm sesame bread is a must addition. Three Flames Mongolian is a down home eatery with delicious food.

The burgers and papas sucias are amazing . The albacore tostada and shrimp tacos are very tasty. Good vibe, and the service was quick.

The new owner, took everything out of it, food was terrible, there no more getting your own veggies, limited menu. No shao bings!! Yeah look nice but terrible food. Sorry just lost a customer. I miss Barbara.

The new owners are amazing! They're super friendly and chill. The food was amazing, definitely a change but overall a great experience and great taste, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be coming back again.

If no stars were a thing that would be a better option. Door was wide open, we walked in waiting to pay since it's pay first. Employee did not acknowledge us. We waited and the employee was on their phone the whole time. We left due to this. Also, LA county removed surcharge on card transactions and this place still had one which is illegal to have the consumer pay for the surcharge. I love supporting small business' but this was such a bad experience stay away.

This lady is like the Momma of this neighborhood!!! She talks to everyone and knows most of her customers. Seriously one guy came in and she has a story about him! You better come and support this 70yo lady!

So my friend and I were heading to the Forum and wanted to get something to eat first. I pulled up yelp and this place came up and we both like Mongolian bbq so we decided to try it out. It is in a little strip mall and definitely what I consider hole in the wall. But as you know hole in the wall places sometimes have the best food. There was only a lady working there but she was very friendly and told us she would be right with us. When I think of Mongolian bbq I am use to being able to pick all the veges and adding my meat but not here. You can add all your veggies to the bowl and sauces but then she weighs out the meat you want and charges you accordingly for the meat. I was a little hesitant but the grill was unlike any grill I've seen and looked cool. My friend wanted to do beef, chicken and shrimp and she told him it's $10 extra for shrimp which I personally think is a little outrageous . She basically charged him $1 per shrimp. After she was done cooking it for us. I must say it looked really good and tasted really good too. I went with a spicier sauce and truthfully it was some of the best Mongolian I've ever had. I would definitely go back. It was $16 for mine but $27 for my friend because of the shrimp. So that's pretty much the only bad thing I have to say is , pricey if you want shrimp and you don't get to put your own meat in. But would I come back ? ABSOLUTELY. Service was great , lady was super friendly and food tasted phenomenal.

Food was great and the owner was cooking it and waiting on us herself. Food had great flavor and prepared just as we asked for it. She has a talent I haven't seen before and made sure we were taken care of and happy. Will definitely return next time I'm in town.

Really good Mongolian food, loved this and I will come back. I had the chicken with noodled and veggies. Does not use food oils makes food using hot stove in front of place.

So delicious! Very authentic. The owner of the restaurant is super sweet. The food tasted fresh. I came here with my mom and sister, and was not disappointed !

The most that I can say is upon entering the restaurant at first, the lady, who served as the manager/chef/waitress, was pretty busy and we waited a few minutes before she could assists us. But when she was done with what she was doing, she was extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. Once we gathered all of our meal's ingredients, we handed them to the manager/waitress/chef and she got to work on them. I was amazed that the grill on which she cooked was shaped like a turtle shell. Interesting! A little of our ingredients made alot of food to enjoy. The food was great and the lady explained that she only serve healthy ingredients. Even the drinks were natural. We had tea with cane (not white) sugar. The sweet manager/chef/waitress sat at another table and talked to us and we enjoyed both her company and the meals.

Barbara the owner is a one woman show. She is the cook, server, busser, etc. Sadly COVID took this business down. She's still serving great food and always has a great attitude. Love this place and can't wait to return. Please support this business and enjoy the great food.

Both Yelp and the restaurant's website said it was open until 9pm on Sundays - drove over there and discovered it was closed.

This restaurant is a small mom-and-pop shop. Barbara, the owner, is very nice and makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. With COVID doing on, I wasn't sure if we were allowed to serve ourselves but I told her what meat I wanted and then it was on me to pick my veggies and sauces. If you want noodles, it's a small extra charge. After you pick what you want in your bowl, your food is cooked right in front of you. It's not the best Mongolian BBQ I've ever had but I thought it was decent. The dish felt more like a yakisoba noodle dish than Mongolian BBQ. Nonetheless, the portion size was great. It's nice to support a local business during a tough time for small businesses.

The food is amazing , cooked to order by the talented chef, who has been cooking there for 50 years! Calm and quiet small restaurant, well worth the trip for the quality of ingredients and service! Five stars!

Loved the food and the people who work here. Wife selection of veggies. Fast food to table. Part of the community - been in operation for like 40/50 years. And very friendly staff, make you feel like family. Will be back.

Was invited to dinner and ended up at Three Flames Mongolian. It has been in business since 1973, that should be testimony enough. It is located in a small shopping center so keep your eyes open or it is easily missed. Barbra was so nice and accommodating to our party of 4, she collects your requested meat(s) (Chicken, Pork or Beef) then you add your favorite vegetables and sauces and she puts it on the grill adds some of her special sauce and the end results are mouth watering. Stop in for lunch or dinner you will leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face. Until next time Barbra, thank you for a great experience and tasty food.

Lean meats, fresh vegetables, all cooked to perfection. The best authentic Mongolian noodle dishes I've had anywhere in Southern California. Worth every penny.

One employee is very hospitable, cooks, serves and handles money. She has held this establishment all on her own. I highly recommend this to all that like Mongolian food

went in there was no one in the restaurant but the old lady who was very rude i explained to her that it was my first time here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you order first ok i got that i wont be back i dont care how long you been in business rudeness will get you cussed out im spending my money...... she needs better customer service if someone first time here explain the process please wont be back do to her rudeness when you old you should be sweet....

Food was insanely bomb. Flavor, for me, tasted so authentic. The service was awesome! This sweet lady tended us with such appreciation. The ambience is quiet, because not many people know how great this spot is! The same lady even puts on a sizzling show when she cooks the food in front of you. -Mongolian Food Gem -Highly Recommend

This Mongolian grill place is awesome! You load your choices of veggies and sauce in your bowl, pick your choice of meat (I loved their firm tofu!), mix and match your sauces....hand your bowl to them...and 10 min later..voila..your huge plate of food arrives! The food tasted fresh and I like that it felt healthy..(not sure how oily it is though...although the owner tells me it's actually a pretty healthy meal!). I added on a piece of shao bing (puff sesame pastry/bread for $1.50 ea) more too...and yummm...i loved my meal. Although the meal was kind of pricey..i think I paid $16ish for a lunch meal with 1 soda and 1 shaobing, the food is actually enough to last me 2 meals (and I have a huge appetite! So, in my mind...given the more healthy food, the taste and large portion...it's worth it! The owner is kind and friendly. Aside from the fact that this place is sort of a hole in a wall (e.g not the most high-end ambiance and I'm not sure if there's a restroom available) which may turn some people off, I'm actually looking forward to having my meals there again soon!

This place is in the hood in Englewood, CA next to a washateria. It's a few blocks from the LAX airport and all the rental car places. It's a diamond in the rough. Very good food. Highly recommend this place to everyone, locals or visitors to LA that are in the area of the airport. The owner works here solo and runs a tight ship. Very sweet lady and knows how to cook!

Bring your own dishwasher and cleaning supplies, place is filthy... oh and bring your own meat since you only get 4-5 pieces of meat. You might wanna bring your own utensils including plate. And a HAZMAT outfit I won't be eating here again!!

My Nee favorite Mongolian BBQ spot. I will stop here every time I can when I land in LA. It's 2 minutes from the rental car lots. Barbra is very very nice. She is the only person working and does a great job. The food is remarkable!!! She makes her own bread (Shao Bing). This is a rustic spot. Not a place for a date, but if you want incredible food and good conversation, this is the spot. Love this place!!!!!

I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. Shoutsout Barbra ! I've been referring my friends often. It is definitely pricey, or at least my order was. I hate that it was empty, it gave off "weak vibes" but of course I'm here to tell you this is top tier eatery. Yes indeed. You have the ability to apply as many veggies to you plate, and it's a BIG PLATE, along with the choice of meat. It's vegan if need be or could be a great source of protein. AW AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE SHAO BING. As Barbra says, "the best bread in town". I'm spending bread here often

So hard to find true Mongolian BBQs these days. I love this one. The owner is a delight to talk to. The topping selection is a little sparse compared to most. I always ask for things I don't see. I did not see pineapple so I asked and she added it for me . The quality of the meat is good, the toasted sesame bread is superb. I just love stuffing the center of the hot breast with the food on my plate and eating it like a hot pocket. The owner is a sole proprietor, waiter and cook and I have a lot of respect for her because I am a sole proprietor in my business too. If you are a fan of Arnold Palmers hers is my favorite so far. It comes clearly separated in the glass with a giant ball of ice and I find that very pleasing. If you are near the LAX area take a detour and drop in! There is also a great place to get tortillas and tamales next door!

Delicious! Everthing is fresh. The meat is not frozen. I chose lamb. Love that I'm able to add as much spices as I desire. Going back soon!

This is a small restaurant. But it was actually pretty good. The regular plate with meat and noodle and a side of one of their hand made breads was about $16.

Was told the food was very good, but I wouldn't know since they're always closed. They say they close at 9pm and on Sunday, but when I go there at "5pm" the doors are locked. What ashamed, won't be referring anyone there anytime soon.

Open during quarantine! Got takeout from here. Such a hidden gem in the area. The quality of the meat and produce is unparalleled for the price and the service is amazing. I think its really rare to find a Mongolian grill spot that uses FRESH not frozen meat. Have been going here and will continue to come here for many years to come!!! Has maintained high quality of food and service despite business challenges. Love supporting small businesses like this one and seeing the unrelenting commitment to quality and service by ownership! Covid Note: Very safe takeout procedures, I felt very secure and management took extra precautions to make sure food and experience was hygienic and secure.

Barbara is the absolute sweetest person ever. I love Mongolian BBQ, and this has definitely been the best I've had. I was a bit skeptical walking in at first because nobody was inside except Barbara, but she treated us with so much kindness and compassion. Her food is so delicious and fresh.

This was my first experience with Mongolian, I always use to see it in the food court but was never interested until today. I took a friend out for lunch parking was sufficient and free. We were greeted by an elderly woman and she was kind, patient some of the best customer service I've received. She explained it to me I choose how much noodles, what types of protein and then I get to fill up my bowl with as much veggies as I want! It was a little buffet style with everything from cabbage, carrot, onion, garlic and condiments etc, once I got everything she put it all on the grill and cooked everything like Benihana style and luckily for us one order was enough to share for two so we split it in half. She already had our table prepared with waters and she genuinely cared if we liked the food. The best part about the entire visit was she made us feel like home, it's as if we had a home cooked meal and were happy off a food high. I would love to try them again but this time double the meat and less veggies.

So glad I stopped here after landing at LAX and picking up the rental car. The food is delicious and fresh and the owner/chef/host is delightful. The business has been here 49 years. Keep supporting these small businesses so they can make it through Covid.

Went in for lunch around 12ish. Ordered regular meal with beef and pork, even the regular feels like large portion for me. It was very delicious. For spicy food lovers, the owner has this secret spicy sauce/powder that she provides upon asking. A must try!! Barbara (the owner) was friendly. Fair price. We'll definitely be back.

$26 for a simple bowl? Definitely caught me off guard. Not worth it. To top it off, the lady employee was ranting about how nowadays, there are "weird" things like transgenders and entering the wrong bathrooms. To each his own, but when serving 3 paying guests, it is probably best and most professional to keep your personal opinions about transgenders to yourself. Not a pleasant environment. Better yet, just let everyone be.

This place is gorgeous and welcoming. The dishes are delicious and healthy. The granny is really friendly, kind, talkative, and energetic. She runs the entire business by herself. Covid impacted her business hard, but she still loves cooking and hold the business together. I will definitely return and support the business.

My boyfriend and I love Three Flames. The owner, Barbara, is the one woman chef, owner, server, hostess, busboy, etc. Due to Covid she hasn't been able to afford employees, so it's just her working there. She's incredibly hard working and kind. Prices are great considering how much fresh veggies and meat you are getting. She always measures out the meat for you so you know you're getting a good portion (3 or 6 oz). I always leave here feeling very full, but never bloated. The ingredients are super fresh and healthy. I'm also super sensitive to MSG and I've never gotten sick eating here, so pretty sure the food here is MSG-free. We drive from Santa Monica to come here. Highly recommend!

THANK GOODNESS this restaurant is open for takeout during these difficult times. The food is so fresh, flavorful, and such a good value. The portions are excellent and they don't skimp on the meat. My photo doesn't do their food justice. I'd recommend paying extra to add shrimp to their amazing fried rice! Their noodle dishes are always great, and my favorite item on the menu is the Mongo Cheesesteak. Perfection! Support this family business, they deserve it :)

Terribly Rude Owner! Very, very rude. I was the only person in the restaurant at lunchtime, that should have clued me in. The owner was so rude as though I was taking too long to decide what I was ordering. I asked if I could have some cilantro and green onions on top and she said it would be an extra charge for that even though my veggie bowl wasn't even half full. She said she doesn't sell raw vegetables, if I want raw veggies go to a salad bar. She said if I wanted raw cilantro and green onions on top, she would refuse to serve me and give me my money back so I could go to a salad bar. Just hostile and rude for no reason! She cooked the bread only after I ordered it, so it was cooked nearly burned on the outside and raw dough on the inside. When I asked her if I could have it cooked more, she was offended and told me she knew how to cook bread, she has owned this business for 27 years. Wow! Just rude and hostile for no reason. She was the only person working in the whole restaurant, took the money, cooked the food, served the food and cleaned the tables. The vegetables looked old as though they had been there longer than one day; and they were all over the place mixed in together. I will never visit this place again because of this rude owner. She obviously doesn't need my little $21 for lunch, which, by the way seems overpriced for the offering. (one small lamb bowl and 2 breads -- no drink or appetizers) Looking at the other reviews, It seems this owner picks and chooses who she will be rude to. I can hardly believe we are describing the same person. She was so incredibly rude to me for absolutely no reason. I spoke very politely and respectfully to her the entire time. I have no idea why she was so rude and nasty to me.

I didn't catch her name but she's literally the sweetest lady. We had a lovely conversation the whole time she was cooking my noodles. Superb customer service. She was very informative on all the ingredients and everything was super fresh and Covid friendly. I had the noodles with beef, onions, bell pepper, garlic, jalapeños, sprouts. So delicious! So flavorful. Definitely recommend! You will be very happy you did. Support local businesses!

Small place in a strip mall with limited parking. So they charge extra for everything, when I left I spent almost 30 bucks on two plates. I was in complete shock on the price and when she handed me the plates they definitely were not as heavy as the places in the mall. So after driving back to work feeling robbed, I begrudgingly opened my container of food. After my first bite of the freshness and deliciousness, my frown turned upside down. Everything was really fresh and I love how they slice the meats thinly. Now the question is will I return here and pay their astronomical prices, I absolutely will. It is definitely worth it, just not that often for lunch food.
