On the Grid : Three Heads Brewing

"Three Heads Brewing specializes in really, really good beer. The atmosphere of this beer hall meets concert hall makes it ideal for date night, to hang with a group of friends or to grab a drink before dinner. The oversized window looking into the brewing and bottling facilities is a nice reminder that it doesn’t get more local than this. If you luck out and are there on a beautiful day, grab a seat on the giant patio. Keep in mind, if you get hungry, a bag of pretzels might be your only option. But they have ample parking for food trucks so check their website if you want to imbibe and dine. From special brews like Ghost Pepper Porter and Captain Banana Unfiltered Wheat Beer to staples like The Kind IPA and Rochestafarian Wee Heavy Ale, Three Heads Brewing certainly brings the west coast beer vibe to Rochester." - Truth Collective

We were visiting from out of town and had some time to kill. Our host recommended Three Heads, and I'm so glad she did. We shared two flights. It was the best beer we've had in YEARS. Keep up the good work!

JoAnn R

Google
Great beers and venue for live music. They had the very famous Cousins Maine Lobster food truck there so we scored some lobster tacos which were excellent!!. Their outdoor patio is huge with lots of picnic tables and is covered!!

Ashley Kirby

Google
First time here on NYE and it was awesome. Really cool atmosphere. Yummy draft beers and drinks. Only complaint is there could of been more indoor seating but they had a ton of people in there. It was fun. Food truck had really good pizzas. I will definitely go back sometime and try more of the IPAs. Beer flight and food across the street looked good but it was closed that night. Plenty of outdoor seating which is awesome but not when it's snowing so I definitely recommend this place in the summertime. I bet it's awesome. Really chill place. I like it.

Ashley Perez

Google
Great place with outdoor sitting. Friendly costumer service and live music in some day.

Google
Really fun atmosphere, and delicious beer! I ate dinner across the street at the Petit Poutinerie and decided to wander over and have a pint. A pint turned into 3 total pints and a 4 pack to go!

Google
Nice place with some good drafts and cider. Hippie vibe, welcoming staff and nice atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting outside. The only think they were missing was some music playing. Otherwise quiet. They had a Grateful Dead cover band scheduled for the evening. No food to order for lunch. It was fun though.

Google
I've been to Three Heads a few times for concerts now, and it's always a great time. The sound is always good, the crowd is always chill, and their beers are excellent

Joseph Raczynski

Google
Great selection of innovative beers all brewed on-site. On this day they finished a Ghostbusters tribute. Wild green color, this sour wasn't too scary. ;)

Yelp
I love Three Heads, and I am not even really a beer drinker. Something about the vibe, the cool laid back staff who are extremely confident with their descriptions of the beers, generous with their tastings and always encouraging, kind and fun. Something about the big, inviting interior space, live music, food trucks, outside tented tables and games. Something about the feeling you get that you could sit there and nurse a can of something-not-even-made-by Three Heads, and no one would shoo you away because they wanted the table.... I've actually been a customer for years - from meeting friends for an afternoon cider, to attending group work events, to listening to local bands, to attending costume contests during Halloween. I always feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported as a consumer, despite my lack of enthusiasm for the latest IPA and/or the fact that I am often the DD (designated driver) in need of a non-alcoholic beverage. Three Heads is a great place, with good people, and lots of things to choose from whether it be beer, cider, sours, sodas, non-alcoholic drinks, etc. I will be back, and hope to see you there too!

Yelp
Great place for a beer! They have plenty of options from double IPAs to a pale ale. Plenty of space both inside and outside. The bartenders were efficient and pleasant. We will be back for sure!!
google avatar

Kathryn T.

Yelp
They are doing the social distancing and mandate to wear masks unless you are at your table then you can take off the mask. They have many varies of beer, cider, and wine. They also provide snacks that we all can eat and drink at the same time. I usually don't drink beers but their ciders were so good! I'm impressed! I definitely would go back there again for gatherings especially weather is getting warmer!!! This place is a perfect place for people to get together and very relaxing there as well! I would recommend anyone to go there because their drinks taste so good!

Yelp
A friend and I visited here last night to see Hello City, A Bar Naked Lady tribute band. We ran into several friends and to say we had a great time would be an understatement! The staff was incredible, including the owner who personally got on stage and said how nice it was to see some normalcy and have his doors open and crowds in, listening to live music again. The bartenders were friendly, efficient and did a great job keeping up with orders and the band just brought about this energy like no other. I definitely look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Yelp
Can't believe I have yet to review Three Heads! I've been to this incredible NOTA staple for concerts, fundraisers, patio hangs, games, and drinks with friends. Three Heads is SO involved with the community and does so much to support local organizations, musicians, and other businesses. Nevermind the fact that their beer list is eclectic and ever changing! I used to feel like I couldn't find beer that suited my taste here. but I think I was just afraid of exploring their full slate of options. Their fruit forward beers and sours are my faves, but if you're a beer lover you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They have a few snacks and, most importantly, are dog friendly inside and out. I have yet to take Freddy inside for funsies, but I love that this is an option for us to take our puppy in both winter and summer time. I am looking forward to summers on the patio enjoying a beverage with all my fave people!
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Summer time events on the patio at Three Heads is a must in Rochester! With a great section of home crafted beer's, love the kind IPA 6.8% and the too kind double IPA at 8.5%. Bar inside has lot's of seating but fills up and can be difficult getting a bartenders attention. Especially when there's a band playing inside. Plenty of parking behind the building, food trucks are usually parked right next to building for a convenient quick bite. Check out their website, so many great events here and awesome live music! You can tell they are passionate about their beer and the community!
google avatar

Jim U.

Yelp
Holy crap it's loud in here! Not even a third full and way too loud. Maybe it's this particular group?? I can't imagine it when there's live music on the indoor stage. Really nice buildout though. Wish the beer was a little better. $12 for a 4 flight taste is a little high, they should add another hole to the paddle. No real food so don't come hungry. Great outdoor seating area unless it's 90 and 80% humidity like today :( I'd definitely go 4 stars if the beer was better- all 4 were a little disappointing.
google avatar

Kristen H.

Yelp
Great local beer joint... brewed and bottled locally always a nice selection with great service. Big outdoor seating area with a tent for inclement weather... Sometimes they will have a food truck in the parking lot which is a bonus. Lots of great bands so be sure to check out their lineup

Yelp
We LOVE Three Heads! I was especially excited when I saw they had Honey Smuggler in cans. Stopped by after work for the best takeout ever!! Support our local breweries!! They have options for everyone and they are open for takeout business.

Yelp
Great beers. Was able to sit outside on Super Bowl Sunday to enjoy the mild weather! Love you can bring in food from outside and people can bring in their pups!

Yelp
I was stoked to come to a local brewery. I was saddened to find out they don't have many dark beers. I went with the porter, which was less %ABV than I wish it was. I was looking for something 8.5% or above. 10 would be great! Too bad they only have beer and wine. We had just come from dinner and were having cocktails. Grabbed our beers and went outside. The patio area closes at 10 to provide some quiet time for the neighborhood. So we wanted to enjoy that before we couldn't. Played a game of cornhole against some locals. I don't think they knew what they were up against. 21-4. Headed inside at 10. The band was like an oldie big brass band. Three young ladies singing. They were great! Some older couples were dancing and having a great time. The inside space got really full when the patio closed. No tables or seating available, all taken. I took a minute to appreciate the murals. Apparently the owner is the artist and he hid his kids' and wife's names in each one. Pretty neat game to try to find them. We didn't stay long after the patio closed and people were filed in there like sardines. Wish there was a greater dark beer selection or some wines I'd actually drink. They should open up the brewery tank area when the patio closes so it's not so stuffy.

Yelp
A lovely place to visit on University Avenue. We were greeted upon arrival by friendly staff and were prompted to order inside at the bar and sit outside. They have a lovely patio which is half tented and half in the sun to accommodate all. Dogs are allowed outside as well. The patio is filled with picnic tables which have posted instructions for their COVID-19 policies. They had ample seating and we enjoyed picking our own spot while enjoying the bustling neighborhood. We ordered a Pacific Jade Hazy IPA and their newest sour. Both were tasty beers. They offered a variety of beers, ciders and other options. They also had a variety of cheap snack options available due to the new government restrictions on ordering food with your drinks. They only charged $.50 for the snacks which we also appreciated. Overall, this is a great place for pet, beer, and social lovers to enjoy some brews. I would come again and recommend this place to others.

Yelp
Attended a charity event at THB on 7/29/22. The beer was not exactly cold so we asked for some ice while ordering our 2nd beers. We were at a "BAR" so asking for a bit of ice didn't seem like a heavy lift. The bartenders response of "no" was not only rude but he was smug and offensive. I guess we weren't HIS type of beer drinkers. THB has good beer, but craft breweries locally are like nail salons, there everywhere, choose a brewery that values your business. It's just friggin beer. Won't be back and Mr. Smug likely doesn't care!

Yelp
Rochester has a ton of breweries. I have visited a few and I have noticed they all have a distinct vibe. Also, a distinct crowd inside. Three heads Brewing has a large building with a large outdoor patio. There is a life sized jenga game and corn hole set up outside on the patio for your enjoyment. Apparently they don't have a kitchen but they do have jerky, nuts and a few other tasty snack options. Also, there is a food truck schedule on their website. Btw there is a amazing Mexican restaurant across the street. The brewery is ok with you ordering food from there and eating it at the brewery. Amazing! So basically, don't worry too much about the food situation. The beer list was medium in length with the usual suspects. Pilsners, sours, stouts, ales and lagers. The beer was delicious. No complaints here. The Brambleberry Ale and the NOTA Pilsner were my favorites. Apparently three Heads Brewing is a stop on the peddle party cart route. A group showed up had a few and peddled away. A band was setting up to play some tunes but I departed before they got started. Check the website for the live music schedule. In review, I feel like three heads brewery is the best I have visited in Rochester so far. The beer selection, size of the venue, location, outdoor area and vibe are all wins!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped in for a beer while waiting for our reservation at Nosh and it did not disappoint. The beers were great! We sat outside at a picnic table and it was perfect. The bartenders were extremely friendly and made great suggestions. Will definitely be back next time we are in town!
google avatar

Roshan R.

Yelp
The ambience is great and the staff was very friendly. We tried the stouts and porters. Have had better ones. However, I'll definitely be back to this place as I love the fact we can bring our own food and grab beers here.
google avatar

Yelp
I definitely love Three Heads the most in the spring and summer to enjoy the patio. It's spacious, they have a tent installed to keep it shady, and also setup corn hole, plus regularly rotating food trucks to pair their eats with your beers. They have a lot of fun here and I'm glad to see the space they created in NOTA. There are regular shows here too where they highlight awesome local bands. Sometimes it can get a little rowdy and loud inside if it's busy, but you know, that's just the 3HB vibe. Rowdy, loud, and fun. I've been known to set up a meeting a time or two here. Meetings are always better with beer. Most recently, I visited for a few events - it's a great spot for a networking happy hour. Their beers are always top notch - try the classic, The Kind IPA. It's a must. I'm really into their sour beer too.

Yelp
Not impressed with their flight pricing. Three, 3.3 oz pours for $10. We had never been there and wanted to sample more of their offerings, but at $1/oz, that didn't happen. The pricing of a flight is twice the price of a 12oz glass of most of their beer offerings. I thought flights were meant to allow you to figure out what you liked without breaking the bank. We could have gotten two 32 oz growlers filled for the same $20 we spent on 2 flights. You need to put your three heads together and come up with a more reasonable price. The chips were good so you get two stars.

Yelp
Three Heads Brewing knows how to make beer! Before they opened their beautiful tasting room and gigantic brewery Three Heads had already perfected their recipes and events at other venues. The recipes don't fail to impress. A Kind is a Kind no matter where you get it, and all the other selections share the same consistency in bottle or draft. Three Heads has great beers that are really well made and owners that care about their craft. The outside patio is awesome in the summer and doubles the space of the bar with tent space and picnic tables. There are a couple tough things about visiting Three Heads- while the beer is outstanding, and very drinkable, the lowest ABV on a recent visit was 6.0%. This means that I'm good for a few, but not for the long haul. I am deep in the hop loving camp, which makes Three Heads a win for me, but not necessarily for meeting up with friends who don't share my great taste. Beer, a cider and a couple craft sodas are the only drink options here. I'd love to see some wine choices in the future. Summer brings food trucks, but otherwise the only food choices are chips and beef jerky. There are some good shows in the large open bar space. Know that on a Friday or Saturday it's going to be loud and you'll be paying a cover at 8:00 to get in, not a great set up to meet and chat with friends. That last sentence makes me feel like I am seventy years old, but I stand by it. Get off my lawn!

Yelp
A rochester staple stop. Grabbed two pints & sat on the patio. They have a nice covered area with I think 9 or 12 tables. Plenty of other spots not covered, today was rainy so it was nice they had the tent. There were no seats inside yet but it was the perfect day to sit outdoors.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here Saturday night because a band we wanted to see was playing. I love this establishment because they have so much room on the inside as well as the fun area on the outside. It allows for it to be busy but not feel overly cramped. We showed up around 8:30pm and were able to get up to the bar easily to order our beers. Their beers are very good and I haven't had one yet that I didn't like. I stuck with the Raspberry Milkshake beer all night and was very happy. Most of the beers are around $5- $6 which for me is absolutely reasonable for good craft brew. The band playing was great and during the intermission we headed outside to grab some food truck munchies before heading back inside. My only complaint was the lack of dealing with overly drunk girls who continuously spilled their entire beers on the floor while dancing. After one complete beer spilled, I Thought, okay they will stop serving her. But nah, she went through spilling three beers and I still don't think the bar/security stepped in. We had to constantly get more bar towels to clean the floor or else we were all going to slip and crack our heads open. I wish that someone from the bar would have taken care of the few ruining it for the rest. I'm not sure if it's a norm for this brewery to turn the eye to those who clearly need to be sent on their way home but I hope it was just a one off.

Yelp
Amazing beer. I bought a 4 pack of Be Kind in Wegman's while on vacation In Corning NY (GO Western NY) !!! Fantastic taste. Fresh as all get out. Can't wait to visit the brewery in Rochester.

Yelp
Ate Old Pueblo takeout at the THB patio with all customers (and staff) wearing masks and a door guy limiting capacity and religiously disinfecting tables at turnover. All of it was professional and hassle free (they even had free masks for customers which the door guy wanted me to pull out of the box myself so as to not contaminate). By the end of it, I wanted to give the door guy an award...he was like mama bear on protection detail. And he had a cool local reggae band t-shirt on (I didn't know we had a local reggae band). Great job THB...you are an asset to our community Oh and the beer was good too
google avatar

Dawn M.

Yelp
Great place to be! Just be. The beers are good and the selection is great. They have wine in a can- which met the needs of one in my party. The swag is good too, best tie-dyed t-shirt in a brewery and stretch fit hats. Social distancing on the outside patio, nice tent for coverage and a little music to balance out the experience. Next time in Rochester, I'm going back!!

Yelp
BEER, MUSIC, CORNHOLE! *** 3 Heads Brewing- Rochester NY (Summer 2018). *** THE BEER: Rachestafarian Scotch ale- good scotch ale! 7/10. Sweet, deep, amber, malty, funky, Munich, crystal malts. Strata casting IPA- 6/10. Strata hops, new from Oregon. Creamy, bodacious. Little Juice Coupe IPL- hoppy and lager! Like it. 7/10. Fruity, delicious hops. Dry hopped with citra and mosaic. Lager feel, but hoppy. Orange you Glad- good stout! Nose- typical stout, chocolate and just a hint of coffee. Taste- chocolate with just a hint of orange! It's drinkable. Not overpowering, which is a danger with cool/interesting/provocative stouts. The Kind: Simply one of the best citrusy IPAs you'll find anywhere. I've been drinking it for ages. *** SERVICE: We had the best bartender- easy $5 tip. Gave us a glass for free. She talked about the beers and asked us about our lives. What more can you ask for! *** THE VERDICT: Tied with The Lost Borough for my favorite Rochester Brewery. In summer, or on nights they have live music, it's unparalleled. *** Stop by. Three Heads won't disappoint.

Charles J.

Yelp
Simply put, an exceptional brewery! Their beer is amazing amd they always offer a variety of traditional and experimental beers that are all high quality. One of the best breweries I've experienced in the Rochester area, with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere both indoors and outside. What separates Three Heads is their customer service. They take pride in their brewery amd beer and want their customers to be satisfied. I am highly impressed with Three Heads and highly recommend checking them out when in the Rochester area.

Yelp
Just started to attend the Thursday evening runs. What a Gun place to hang out following a run and enjoy a cold beverage.

Meghann C.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick beer flight with a friend before walking over to Pueblo Grill for dinner. The beers were good and the service was quick. I definitely want to stop in again to try some more yummy beers! There was also a food truck onsite which we didn't order from since we were having dinner soon, but it was nice to have the option!
google avatar

Miles L.

Yelp
First time coming here with a friend. Wasn't sure what to expect. They had outdoor sitting and games. Food truck outside, but we decided to stay in and sat at the bar. The service was good and the bartenders are attentive. Will come back again soon and will bring more friends this time

Yelp
Buy beer not data! That's my kinda thinking. This was "next" on our Rochester brew list. It's a good place with spacious bar and floor. They also have patio which I think would be fun to hang out in summer. Beers are good. I really enjoyed Roctoberfest lager. They also carry usual bar menu. Throughout October they have live music. So if that's something you like, you can hit this joint. For non-beer drinkers, they do carry apple cider.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Three Heads Brewing is absolutely a beaut of a brewery! Serve refreshing beer, which they craft their own. They have beers of different price points. I ordered a double IPA, and it was bitter and tasty! Overall great experience and ambiance. I'm excited for more night going out with friends and family members. Showing them the beauty of a good beer!

Yelp
I'll preface this by saying I've been drinking their beer since it was home brew. I got a kick out of the original 3HB logo, always wanting to call them Three Home Boys, but I digress. Whether home brew, CB's brewed, or brewed at their own facility, with the long-time assistance of Bruce Lish, I've always really enjoyed their beer and even love some of it. The new facility is great and in time I'm sure it'll be even better. The outside patio needs some tree coverage as it can get pretty hot in the sun. That will also make it more of a "beer garden" which I know they're going for. Really the only complaint I can muster is related to brewing ingredients, primarily hops. It's been an ongoing issue that from time to time they aren't able to get their hands on the appropriate hops for certain recipes and opt for alternatives. Unfortunately I find this far too often with The Kind, making it a roll of the dice whenever I order it at a bar. Sometimes it is The Kind and sometimes it's "The Kinda" as I call it when they use alternate hops. I understand the necessity of getting product on shelves and in bars, but it sucks to order a beer, knowing what it's supposed to taste like, and finding a different flavor in my glass. I'm familiar with the incredible demand for hops these days so I'm sure other breweries have similar issues. I'd just rather wait for them to get the correct ingredients, or have an alternate recipe be called something else. OK, gripe over. Now get your butt out there and drink some beer from the Three Home Boys!!!
google avatar

Joseph V.

Yelp
I have a big problem with 3HB: their beers are so good, they make it too hard to decide! Love the vibe of this place. The murals, that are also used on their labels, are a testament to perfectly blending artistry and beer. My go-to will always be The Kind, but get a flight, you can't go wrong. Really creative and drinkable flavors and styles... from IPAs and lagers to porters and stouts. This is by far my favorite microbrewery!
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Three Heads never disappoints. I've been loving their beer since I discovered them at Craft Brewers and was happy to see them open up their own space in Rochester. I've been to their location on Atlantic Ave several times and decided to stop by this afternoon with my boyfriend. We both enjoyed our beers outside on the patio under the tent, which is a nice option on a rainy summer day. I had the Captain Banana, a Hefeweizen style beer with flavors of banana (yum). My boyfriend had the Illegally Blonde, which is a Belgian ale. We both liked our beers, as usual. We also got a growler of The Kind (my favorite IPA) on our way out. Prices are extremely reasonable at ~$5 a beer and the environment is always relaxed and easy-going.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Great beer, cool location. Just taking off a star for sound, it's all hard surfaces in there which is not awesome for live music.
google avatar

Katie T.

Yelp
First time visitors to Three Heads Brewing last night, and we had an incredible experience. The Honey Smugglers we're performing and the brewery was the perfect spot for such a fun show. It was easy to get to the bar and the bartenders were super helpful and quick. We loved the beer, especially the specialty brew they did in honor of the band. Cool venue in a growing area of Rochester - can't wait to visit again next time we're visiting family in the area.
google avatar

Jen R.

Yelp
I've been here a few times well because events were planned here. They had a great outside area to sit and corn hole to play. The inside of the brewery is large and vast. In the back is the bar where they have lots of their beers on tap and cider too. To be frank I think beer wise you can find something for everyone but if your not a beer drinker they have cider. Staff is helpful and courteous. I give the place 3.5/4 stars because for me it's not top of mind to check out on its own. If you have out of towners come for a visit. Like I said every time I come here it's usually with an event. They have a lot to park in.. it Uber. Read other reviews and give it a shot.

Yelp
After eating dinner at Village Gate we walked over to see the newest place in town. Being a beautiful Friday evening it was very busy. They were collecting a $5 cover charge for the band which we had no interest in seeing and the guy gave us a break and let us in without paying. The inside space was smaller than expected given how big the building is but later we discovered that they have a large room that faces Atlantic Ave that I am guessing will be used for private events. Anyway the concrete and steel interior is typical for these new breweries but the acoustics are totally harsh for music. Once the band started we fled outside because it was impossible to hold a conversation... we wanted to be outside on their patio anyway, so this worked fine. The patio has picnic tables and corn hole games for those into active pursuits while drinking beer. There was also a food truck in the parking lot since their food selection is limited at this time. I was disappointed that they don't do flights after 7pm, I'm guessing it is too busy for that. We tried their pilsner and lager - both were decent. I think the big draw here is the scene in the NOTA since with so many new breweries around town it is hard to distinguish one from another just based on their beers.

Yelp
Enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio for a cold beer on a sunny Friday afternoon. Beer selection provide a variety of options and service was knowledgeable and fast.

Yelp
Three Heads Brewing recently opened its new location on University Avenue in the Neighborhood of the Arts. The main focus of the facility is its massive brewery for regional distribution. However, there is also a tasting room on site offering beer pints, growlers and tasting flights. They also sell snacks, merchandise and feature a regular rotation of visiting food trucks and live bands. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices were relatively affordable. However, most of their beer options were varieties of pale ales. Known for their "The Kind" IPA, I am looking forward to a wider selection of beer styles and hope to visit again soon when they roll out newer items to their beer lineup.

Yelp
So... I've been to 3 Heads a couple of times... frankly it confuses the sh** Outta me. First time... thought the location was great and was excited to sit outside ... it has a larger space with picnic tables, jenga and cornhole if u are so Inclined, and it's covered so I thought it was great. When we walked in i was surprised to get a pretty strong "spilled beer" smell... which, as soon as I ordered, I suppose I became "nose blind" to so never had another thought about it.. It's a damnn brewery. We were greeted by a wonderful bearded guy who was so happy to let us try some of the days specials... he was obviously proud of the beers & we found 2 choices each and proceeded outside to sit and enjoy our beers. I was kind of surprised to feel... fairly... idk how to put this... unwelcome outside.... not AT ALL BY THE STAFF BUT BY THE OTHER CUSTOMERS. Rolled eyes. Snide smiles... Not by everyone AT ALL... 2 tables I noticed. It annoyed the sh** out of me and I made the caveman get me out of there. I had two beers I wanted to try yet but.. frankly, I was annoyed. The second time... same spilled beer smell.. new beer choices I was very excited about that are noted on A large screen tv above the bar (which is hugely convenient) BUT the female bartender (with a braid) who was in front of us seemed to ... not see us... for a time while she conversed with a customer who'd obviously been there awhile. I'm an ex bartender.. I get that u need to accommodate regulars so I let it go.. eventually she seemed to reluctantly approach us... strangely.. with a sideways rather snide smile... craig and I were eventually able to get our beers but once we were outside I checked in with him to see if I was over-reacting about the bar- tender.... no. Is this we have"too much gray hair to be in NOTA"? Or we're just not hipster enough for the joint??? I don't get it... beer enjoyment ... especially breweries.. is rather new for Rochester and what I assumed is cross-demographic.. I felt uncomfortable twice and won't be back. It's a shame as I I loved the sour I had this time. I hate to put the blame on anyone other than that one bartender and the customers who didn't want us there. The beer was great and we did meet some great employees. Eh, I'll probably give it another shot.. maybe next summer.

Yelp
Fantastic area and plenty of parking. The beers were great and all pints are $5. The outside was spacious and the staff was so friendly which was the best part. One staff member even came outside to take our order (you normally go inside and order your drinks). It'd be great to see them carry food someday but for now I'm pretty content with the location, beer, staff, and overalls casual vibes!

Yelp
Perfect pairing of Three Heads and then Nosh. The additional food trucks that visit are a highlight. I haven't stayed for the live music but I can't see how you'd go wrong doing so. The outside tented and open seating are fantastic options in the better weather. It's not the go here to be seen crowd, it's the I like a good beer n a good crowd setting.

Yelp
Good beer, good music, good snacks! I love this place. Only been here a few times but especially with the whole pandemic going on they've really been making it work with their outdoor seating and range of snack options. I will be back!

Yelp
You had me at 5 IPAs on tap. Three Heads had an impressive list of beers both in variety and volume. They also happened to be pretty tasty as well! The space was large and included fooseball tables, oversized jenga, pinball, and pac man. They filled growlers, however, I forgot the ones I lugged all the way from CT in my extreme excitement. Of course they had their own so no worries. I went home with a 32 of their Too Kind, a double IPA. The guys were super nice and apparently my friend's band frequents in order to provide you with a super awesome beer enjoying soundtrack to complete your experience. I would love to drop by in the summer because they had a large open area outside for relaxing in the sunshine! We will meet again soon Three Heads!

Yelp
I love good beer. I love good music. Three Heads delivers perfectly on both counts. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a fund raiser, and members of Friday in America- pretty much the "house band" - were playing an acoustic set. It's a good sized tasting room with a big bar with stools, tables and plenty of floor space for hanging out. The patio was under a foot of snow on my January visit- in warm weather that doubles the space available for consuming their beers. They have ~10 beers on tap now, and a cider if that's your thang. I decided to go lighter today- I usually have The Kind- their ultra popular IPA- or Rochestefarian- their Scotch Ale. I started with the Cascade Cream Ale- really crisp and fresh with a light hop finish. Being a fruity guy- I went with Strawbeery Fields next- not bad, but probably better in the hot weather than on a 10 degree day! I finished off with the Mandarillo Pale Ale- which I found to be excellent- not as bitter and hoppy as their IPAs but a nice prominent hoppy flavor nonetheless- thanks dudes- you got that one right! They had pizza brought in for the fund raiser- but usually there is no food - unless they bring in a food truck. A great place to hang- love the jam band tunes too! Thumbs up guys!

Yelp
Having gone there on opening day it was packed which was to be expected. However, what the venue lacked for space at the time made up for in entertainment and of course beer. There was tons of space to park and the beer kept flowing (I'm glad I was able to grab a growler as I try to do that at every brewery I visit). The outdoor seating was great for the sunny day that it was. I'm wondering what that'll be like in the winter months though. Either way, I definitely recommend taking the moment to visit Three Heads Brewery as it'll be a main stay for a very long time.

Yelp
Made it out to 3HB last night for the first time. I had previously avoided the grand opening--because I figured it would be too overwhelming! Loved the location. They picked--what I am imagining--is the up and coming location of Rochester for their brewery. Its just a quick drive to the Village Gate for delicious foods. There is plenty of parking and what seems to me, an abundance of outdoor space. I hope more great places like this start opening in this area! My friends and I went in for a flight and the brewtenders were knowledgeable and quick pouring our beers. I tasted the Rochestafarian Wee Heavy Ale, Freddy D Lager, Bromigo Smoked Maple Amber, and Citra Sour. All were pretty good, the the stand out being the Citra Sour. The indoor space seemed large with lots of wood tables. We sat outside and were even checked on by the brewtenders every now and then. I was not expecting this! I was thinking I would have to go back in to get another beer. It was nice that they cleared out our flights and took additional pint orders. For those looking for something to do--other than drink delicious brews--there was corn hole set up in the middle of the cement outdoor space lined with picnic tables. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I was in town for the day and decided to stop by to try a local brewery. What a great decision. I picked up a few packs so I could try different flavors. I only wish I would have gotten more. The beer is delicious. I can't buy it in NJ but I sure wish I could.
