The Best Restaurants In Burien - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If sitting in an Adirondack chair, sipping a latte on a porch, and watching neighbors walk past with their groomed labradoodles seems like a nice way to spend a morning, this revitalized general store and coffee shop is worth a visit. At Three Tree Point Store, stock up on fancy pantry essentials or party snacks while waiting for your order. And if you’re here for lunch, the cuban melt or the french ham and brie sandwiches rule. Both are pressed to the heavens on Macrina bread. " - Nate Watters

Visited on a Sunday afternoon after a friend recommended this local spot in Burien. We tried the bacon sandwich, $13 from the breakfast menu, and the Cuban melt $15 from the lunch menu. While the café itself has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. The bacon sandwich felt a bit too small for the price, and the Cuban melt could have been much better if they had added some Dijon mustard to balance the richness of the mayo—it would have brought out the true flavor of a Cuban sandwich. Staff were kind, and the space has a neighborhood charm, so I’d be open to coming back to try their pastries or coffee.

This is a cute little hyper-local sandwich and convenience shop. They have fabulous looking desserts, a menu of sandwiches and fancy sodas, snacks, and wine to enjoy on the premises in one of the little nooks or porch settings or maybe on one of the nearby mini public beaches.

I hate to review this place and talk about how great it is so it doesn’t get packed with people. It’s that social. The frosè in multiple flavors = amazing. So fun. Such great hosts. And a quick walk to the water. Bring a blanket and take in the beach with your snack or beverage of choice.

This store is a true neighborhood gem. The baked goods and sandwiches are excellent. And the staff know how to make a delicious coffee! The atmosphere is charming. Perfect little morning stop or to meet a friend after a walk.

Google
Great casual spot with loads of great snacks, wines and has a very neighborhood feel. Super friendly environment and in a relatively nicer part of town. The coffee is strong but not the best. Parking is minimal (I think around 5-6 spots, 10 max), so if you can bike or walk to it, that’s even better. I’d recommend it!

Google
Wine slushies, sandwiches and bottles and beer to go, this is such a cute little local store. We like to have a wine slushy on the patio and take our sandwiches to the beach for the incredible view.

This cute tiny white shop is located at the middle of long hill road, Maplewild Ave. We stopped by there during our bike ride. We had sweet and savory baked goods. Some sweet baked goods come with one scoop of ice cream! I wish I could knew about that. I have to go back for that next time. They have chairs and tables outdoor and a big table and a counter indoor. Service is little slow but very friendly and good.

Yelp
I visited this charming neighborhood store and cafe in Burien on a Sunday afternoon after it was recommended by a friend. We ordered the bacon sandwich $13 from the breakfast menu and the Cuban melt $15 from the lunch menu. Honestly, we were a bit disappointed when the food arrived. The bacon sandwich was surprisingly small for the price, and the Cuban melt could have used a bit more punch--adding Dijon mustard would have really elevated the flavor and brought out the character of a proper Cuban sandwich. As it was, the taste felt a bit flat. That said, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff was friendly, and it's clearly a beloved local spot. I'd come back to try something different--perhaps their pastries or coffee next time.

Yelp
If you come here for ice cream, beware that the pints are all so old that it's crystallized. Ice cream bars are often crushed. I get the idea that they are still trying to sell the ice cream that didn't sell last summer....

Yelp
Super quaint neighborhood store with decent selection of food and snacks. Good looking beer and wines. One Star deduction for the bacon breakfast sandwich... kinda meager for the price of $12. Will have to stop in another time to try other stuff.

Yelp
What a hidden gem. I was so lucky to find out about this place from a friend who lives in the neighborhood. We walked here today and had a lovely lunch. She had their delicious Beechers Mac & Cheese and a glass of red wine. I had a savory ham, Brie & fig jam panini sandwich with a hoppy IPA. Was tempted to get a pastry or other dessert but managed to resist. Super cute place with 3 small tables & 1 large table inside. A few seats on the porch. Clean unisex bathroom. If you're in the Seahurst/Normandy Park area I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Coffees, snacks, sandwiches -- everything is good here. And the shop matches its unique location perfectly. Feels so suited and right. Friendly service, but don't expect a fast stop.

Yelp
I got there before 9:00 am so I waited outside on a comfy chair which had a warm blanket on it. Once it was 9, I went inside and asked if I could buy cream for the coffee I had made at my Airbnb. They told me they would just GIVE it to me! I saw a loaf of bread and asked if it was good. They said this is the only store where it is sold! I also bought a package of butter. They told me to come back later when they will be making fresh pizzas! Uh YEAH! NOTE: the bread is DELICIOUS!

Yelp
Unfriendly service, decent food My family visited on a weekend night. We bought pizza and ice cream. It took a very long time for anyone working to acknowledge our presence (they were busy talking to people who already had their food). If we weren't already so far away from other options, we would have left. The pizza was delicious. The view and quality of food was pretty good. The service was not.

Yelp
The convenience, the variety, and the friendly staff make this little store the perfect Three Tree Point addition. Carrying a wide variety of Wines, snacks, and even pantry goods, this store has it all. The cute boho farmhouse aesthetic of this shop is too cute! They even have a coffee bar inside with delicious looking pastries and a cute slogan wall. Welcome to the neighborhood Three tree point store!!

Yelp
After my quick, $100+ purchase, I was asked for a tip at check- out. I asked the young man to let management know that I didn't like this practice, and then got a "look" when leaving the store. Tipping practice like this is a turn-off.

Yelp
Someone tried playing the race card on one of these review and it's utterly ridiculous. The owner and the staff are kind and reaepectful, and treat everyone like family. Tuesday fresh made tortilla tacos, Fridays are pizza fresh from the pizza oven (this last week Nelle made jalapeno popper pizza... ), the quiche Beer on tap & frosé on a hot day? They take pride in what they do here and it shines through beautifully. I'll frequent this place for many years to come. Or until they run out of IPA

Yelp
We had the most delicious chocolate cake from here and also love the other desserts. We've not tried anything but to-go sweets but it seems like a really fun place to hang out. The woman who has always helped us is very helpful and kind.*I think the cake may only be on weekends *

Yelp
This store made our decision to move to the neighborhood all the easier. The Store has cultivated the warmest center for our neighborhood to gather. We moved to the area not knowing anyone and we have quickly met and befriended much of the neighborhood thanks to the Store. The staff is very friendly and capable-- they remember our names and orders and the coffee, service and food is always consistent and top notch. The store is always immaculately organized and well stocked. Coffee, wine, grocery essentials, cute merch, and a place to meet our neighbors (walking distance from home to boot!). Now featuring AC ;) What more could you ask for? Nelle (the owner) works tirelessly there, both at the counter and behind the scenes. She's made an effort to make this a place for everyone ~ soft serve and treats, the best frosé in the PNW (even available to go!), personally selected craft beers and small batch wines, and amazing pastries, sandwiches and house made pizzas ('za is Fridays only). When she has a minute to relax she'll pull up a chair and chat with local usuals and new visitors which is such a small town feel, we love it. Friday nights are incredibly busy as it's THE local watering hole for 3TPers and has the best vibe with people spilling out past the veranda enjoying the evenings (warm summers and otherwise). I recommend any time of day, any day of the week!

Yelp
Wonderful local hang with perfect combo of coffee, beer, wine, sundries, frozen Bellinis, breakfast sandwiches and Grandpa's homemade bread. The coffees are usually served too hot so burnt but it is important to support local and small businesses. And they are nice as can be.

Yelp
Do not recommend if you are not local to the area. For POC wanting a welcoming and inclusive shop, I would recommend searching elsewhere. I've been to this place a few times, it has great decor and stocks many products I love (Beechers, Olipop, Raos). There was a definite disparity in the staff (owner?) treatment of us versus the many other white patrons who received much friendlier greetings both before and after us. Unfortunate because I always look forward to supporting woman owned small businesses, but not when it's clear they are favoring a certain "type" of customer.

Yelp
The cutest little coffee shop in 98166! If coffee's not your indulgence of choice, they've got you covered. From wine & beer, to pastries and much more to discover at our locally owned Three Tree Point Store.

Yelp
Perfect place to hang out after diving three point. Nelle (Owner) took ownership of this store in October and has done a great job setting it up. It has the vibe of a small island store that you visit when on vacation, they have everything you need, but everything is just that little bit special. a great wine selection, three beers on tap, espresso and hot sandwiches. This will be our go to place whenever we dive three tree.

Yelp
What a charming, friendly, local spot with great food! We had a lemon icee, espresso, sandwich and soft ice cream all super good high quality and tasty! Since we were treated I am unaware of prices but would be willing to pay extra for this kind of value. Lovely porch seating - everything's seems perfectly arranged in this neighborhood haven-!

Yelp
I want to personally apologize to the owner of this wonderful store for a review I gave her and the store a few days ago. I was wrong to attack her and how she runs her business. The Store is the best thing to happen to the area in a long, long time and I apologize for my rudeness. She was right to feel attacked and hurt by my comments, she has made it what it is and it is perfect. I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and I should not have said anything, especially on this forum. It has top of the line products, the store is adorable and impeccably done. The people who work there are warm and welcoming. I was out of line and wrong to make and post the comments I did. Please go there and support this owner, she has put her heart and soul into it to make it the success it is. My perception was wrong. I had no business calling her out in anything. I am sorry.

Louise A.

Yelp
Perfect TTP location! Historic store with modern, upscale touches. Inbred culture and closed circuit community reflective of the area (evidenced by over the top positive marketing/reviews). Casually arrogant. Despite inflation and convenience, premium pricing for what it delivers in service and quality. Management and staff present as stressed novices that don't flow with the easy going, small town beach energy. Owner could use very basic hospitality training; i.e. be inviting, welcome less familiar guests with a simple smile and hello. It's a place to go if you don't have better plans and want super convenience in a beautiful neighborhood.

Busysouthend M.

Yelp
A community gem! The perfect spot for a morning coffee, mid day or afternoon beer or frosé or Friday night pizza and wine. Nellie and her team work hard to keep the offerings distinctive and the place looking sharp.
